Posted: 14 Jun 2013 06:37 AM PDT "RHOA" star Cynthia Bailey Thomas and her husband Peter Thomas have written a new book on how they made their relationship work. Find out more inside....
After a rocky engagement (were we the only ones who didn't think they would make it to the alta with all that drama?) and two dramatic weddings, both filmed for the hit Bravo reality series "RHOA", Cynthia Bailey Thomas and Peter Thomas have penned Carry-on Baggage - Our Nonstop Flight. It's a straight talk couple's memoir following their journey of raising a blended family, running a mini empire and keeping the home fires burning after ago 40. Distributed by Griffin Scott Press, LLC, a press release from the couple revealed that they wrote the book "to inspire, provoke and make readers laugh out loud" as they look at their "nonstop flight to finding marital bliss." And it hits shelves July 2013. And in addition to bookstores, Cynthia's also headed to the dollhouse. She's partnered with The One Doll Project to create a "collector's item" in her image. The ESSENCE cover model released a statement saying,
Congrats to the couple! We just wonder how long it will take Kenya Moore to snatch up Cynthia's idea and release her own line of "Detroit Barbies". Y'all know it's coming....

Posted: 13 Jun 2013 01:30 PM PDT Solange Knowles loves performing in intimate artsy locations, so it's no surprise that SHE was the surprise performance at Art Basel Switzerland last night. But nobody likes to surprise folks more than Kanye West....so he popped up and stole the spotlight.
Pics & deets inside, plus Sanaa Lathan looking gorgeous at last night's Myspace event.... Solange Knowles was her usual fabulous print-happy self in Mary Katrantzou threads at Art Basel Switzerland last night. The "True" singer posed it up at 'Better Days', an art bar installation by Mickalene Thomas (pictured below) presented by Absolut Art Bureau in the city of Basel. And her mom Miss Tina was there in the audience watching the performance:
But Solange wasn't the only star at Art Basel Switzerland. Mr. West made a surprise appearance in order to hold an impromptu listening session for Yeezus at the Design Miami/Basel Fair. And Hollywood Reporter says all the high end art dealers and new media collectors skipped out of Solo's performance once they heard Kanye was in the area at Messeplatz hall. THR dished:
Nice!
Meanwhile over in L.A. last night: Sanaa Lathan made everyone jealous with her freakin' gorgeousness at the the new Myspace launch event at the El Rey Theatre:
Fab. Justin Timberlake and Pharrell performed:
And Robin Thicke, Quincy Brown (above) and more were all there to party it up. Fun times!

For their July/August 2013 issue, XXL printed up four covers touting the 2013 America’s Most Wanted Music Festival and its headliners Lil Wayne, T.I., and 2 Chainz. Before the trio hits the stage for their first tour stop (Birmingham, AL on July 9) the special cover package includes interviews and a solo cover with all three MCs. Inside, Lil' Wayne discussed his recent health issues, 2 Chainz talks about his successful solo debut and T.I. opens up about looking for a new record deal for Grand Hustle. Also, the issue includes features on Kevin Liles empire, Mac Miller, Pusha T and Danny Brown. The new issue of XXL hits stands nationally on June 18. Check out the solo covers here:
Fortunately for 2 Chainz, the magazine went to press before he was robbed at gunpoint....and a tape surfaced! We don't condone violence, but it's a shame that his entourage deserted him in the face of danger. We wonder if he's keeping those dudes on the payroll.... That robbery tape was a bling-ery of mess...
