Over the weekend, Kevin Hart headed down to Miami for the red carpet premiere of Let Me Explain during the 17th Annual American Black Film Festival (which was sponsored by Cadillac). Held at The Gusman Theatre, the film was produced by Kevin Hart and CodeBlack Films. During his chat with TheYBF.com, the funnyman explained the origin of the film and why he decided to document his latest tour around the world. He told us,
During the film, fans gets to see Kevin take "Let Me Explain" around the country and overseas. He also shows clips from his sold out show at Madison Square Garden and touches on sensitive subjects like his divorce and if he dates brown girls or not. Kevin also did a Q&A with CodeBlack Entertainment founder Jeff Clanagan where they spoke about partnering up to produce the film. He explained that he and Jeff financed the film themselves, and only accepted 4 million dollars from the studio to help distribute the movie. Throughout the session, Kevin really stressed the importance of business and owning his own stuff. He also touted the power of social media and the downside of bootlegging. He added that he hopes to do 5 seasons for "RHOH" and BET is exploring the option of taking the show overseas.
