Police brutality victim Rodney King was found dead this morning. He was 47. Details inside......
Rodney King, who became a household name after a 1991 beating at the hands of LAPD went national, has died. The 47-year-old was found dead at the bottom of a pool this morning by his fiancee Cynthia Kelley. Rodney will also be remembered for his impassioned plea during the L.A. Riots when he said, "People, I just want to say, can we all get along? Can we get along?" Law enforcement told TMZ that they are opening a drowning investigation. There does seem to be more to this story either way. A very sad ending to this story.............R.I.P. Rodney. |

During a recent press conference in Paris, NBA baller Tony Parker revealed that he took a few punches for friend Chris Brown during the Drake fiasco and damaged his eye. Get the deets on his injury inside....
While speaking at a Summer Olympics press conference in Paris, San Antonio Spur star Tony Parker revealed that he'll miss a week of practice due to an eye injury he sustained in a fight. Yes....."THAT" fight. As details continue to emerge about what really went down at W.I.P. last week between Chris Brown and Drake, Tony revealed a few deets about the evening and how he got caught in the crossfire. "I was with my friend Chris Brown and me and my friends took some punches. They started throwing bottles everywhere. I don't know what happened." During the fight, Tony sustained an injury to the cornea of his eye, which explains the sunglasses that were covering up the injury. "The cornea has been touched. I can't do anything for seven days. So I'll be missing the start of the French team because I can't do anything for a week except keep the (therapeutic) lens in and then take drops." He added, "But I was lucky. The injury won't prevent me from competing in the Olympics in any way." And while NYPD is still sorting out what happened (and deciding if they'll arrest Drake) the club itself, W.I.P./Greenhouse was shut down yesterday due to numerous violations unrelated to the fight itself. |

Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin got jumped the broom yesterday! The 30-year-old fab actress took her Jumping The Broom movie from fiction to real life as she married her 32-year-old preacher/movie executive fiance. See pics of the wedding dress and the happy couple at their reception inside.....
Yesterday, Meagan Good married producer and preacher DeVon Franklin at a ceremony in Malibu, CA. And a few early pics popped up on Twitter. During an earlier interview, Meagan revealed that the nuptials would have, "a bayou-themed kind of Spanish mosque, a very enchanted-y Twilight feel." And a few of the couple's friends tweeted congrats to the couple. Will Packer tweeted, Lyrica Anderson said, Tracey Edmonds said, Comedian/Actor (Meagan's Jumping The Broom co-star) DeRay Davis tweeted: Happy For my fam @MeaganGood & @DeVon_Franklin gettin married 2day! My lil grown homies doing the grown thang! Producer Debra Martin Chase gushed: @DeVon_Franklin @MeaganGood your wedding was so beautiful and so filled with love. Wishing u a lifetime of happiness! Xxoo And because the religious twosome remained celibate throughout their courtship (and wed just 2 months after announcing their engagement), we're sure they had a very long night! And a long morning and even longer afternoon today. Not mad at that. Meagan is officially off the market fellas. By the way, you can catch Devon tonight on OWN for his interview with Oprah.

The Obama family was spotted exiting Air Force One in Chicago yesterday and one can't help but notice how fast Sasha and Malia are growing up! Get the deets on their Chicago trip inside.....
First Lady Michelle, President Obama & the First Daughters touched down in Chicago on Friday for a rare trip home to their place in the Kenwood area. But beforehand, they were spotted boarding the helicopter on the White House lawn back in D.C. The family is in town for the wedding of Laura Jarrett, daughter of White House senior adviser and close family friend Valerie Jarrett. Both Laura and her hubby-to-be, Tony Balikissoon, are both Harvard Law alums. The First Fam will remain in Chicago until tomorrow (Sunday), before the President travels solo to a G-20 summit in Los Cabos, Mexico that evening.
And can we just discuss for a minute how chic Ms. Malia (13) is growing up to be and how both she and Sasha (11) seem to have sprouted OVERNIGHT! When both of your parents are athletic and pretty tall themselves, guess you don't have a choice. No wonder the First Dad put out a warning recently to all the fellas who are even thinking about pursuing his fab daughters. When a reporter asked the President a few days ago how he felt about Malia approaching the time for boys & dating, he responded, "That’s why we have the Secret Service." Happy Father's Day Weekend all! |
