TYLER PERRY: "I HAD To Defend Casting Kim Kardashian!"

TheYBF.com caught up with Tyler Perry at his New York premiere for the upcoming Madea's Witness Protection flick.  And surprisingly, Mr. Perry had much to say about the co-star of another of his upcoming movies, Kim Kardashian.

Director and actor Tyler Perry, pictured above at the Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection New York premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater, was every bit the confident head honcho when grilled by swarms of media about his castings of both Bobbi Kristina Brown & Kim Kardashian in his respective upcoming projects, "For Better Or Worse" and The Marriage Counselor.

"I didn’t have to defend Bobbi [Kristina], I had to defend Kim," Tyler revealed to TheYBF.com at last night's premiere.

He continued:

"There was so much going on in [Kim's] marriage at the time, but all that stuff is the past.  The movie is called The Marriage Counselor so, of course, there was some stuff to say about that."

And if you think Kim's acting skills (on an actual movie set that is) aren't quite sharp enough, Tyler has a different opinion:

"You know, I think she did a great job.  I don't think it could of been a better time for her because she was going through so much at the time. She did a fantastic job in the movie and I’m very excited about it.”

Oh.  And as for his thoughts about Kim becoming the latest chick on Kanye's throne:

"Oh, they’re dating? Hey, well, life is short. I believe you should live your life. You only have one to live.”

That's one way to look at it.

The multi-talented Mr. Perry also clapped back at the critics of Bobbi Kristina's skills as he predicts she'll have an incredible career:

"As far as Bobbi Kristina goes, I didn't have to defend her casting. The whole purpose of that was to make sure she was around people who care and love her. What I found when my mother died is that you need to be around people that you trust, and I was glad that I was able to do that for Bobbi.

That kid did a great job! She’s so talented and such an actor.  I’m so proud of her.  I’m telling you now, as far as she wants to go in the business she can.”

Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union PARTY IT UP At Bamboo Miami + Chris Bosh's Baby Momma Allison Mathis SPEAKS OUT On Financial Woes

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union were spotted partying and celebrating in Miami all weekend. See pics inside and find out what Chris Bosh's baby's mom Allison Mathis had to say about her financial woes.

The NBA World Champion Miami Heat celebrated their win with Prestige Sundays at Bamboo Miami.  The official NBA Championship Party was held in conjunction with House of Wade and DJ Griot.

 

NBA Executive Pat Riley was amongst the NBA legends who partied with Dwyane and his boo Gabby.

Looks like they had fun!

In baby momma drama....

Allison Mathis, Chris Bosh baby momma, has spoken about her financial woes and her fragile relationship with Chris. She revealed that the pregnancy was Chris' idea and he actually paid for fertility treatments when she had a hard time getting pregnant before finally having their daughter Trinity.

“Chris really wanted us to have a baby, that's why he had me go to a fertility doctor. I followed the treatment and we eventually became pregnant. He was very happy when Trinity was born.”

She also told Jose Lambiet’s Gossip Extra, that she doesn’t understand why Bosh is ignoring her financial woes since she lost her job last month and faces foreclosure and applied for public assistance. She claims Chris has spent at least $2 million on lawyers to keep his child support payments at $2,600 a month.

Although Chris has not made mention of Allison's financial woes, he appeared on "Live With Kelly" this morning where he said he was happy his daughter appeared on the float with him for the championship parade.  He also revealed that he taped the Big 3 interview with Oprah yesterday after the parade and he read the book BLINK in order to help him prepare for the finals.

YBF KIDS: Snoop Dogg's Son Cordell Broadus OFFERED Football Scholarship To UCLA...And He's ONLY 15!

The second eldest son of rap icon Snoop Dogg, Cordell Broadus (shown above in a USC sweatshirt), has been offered a football scholarship to UCLA!  If he accepts, he could join Diddy's son, Justin Combs, on the team.  Deets inside.....

 

UCLA's Football program seems to be taking a keen interest in the talented offspring of celebrities. Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, has become the latest celeb kids to get a scholarship offer.  We told you earlier that Diddy's son, Justin Combs, has already accepted his offer and will be suiting up next season.

Despite being a 15-year-old rising sophomore at Diamond Bar High School, UCLA coach Jim Mora Jr. recently offered the scholarship to Cordell because of his skills on the field.  At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, sports experts think his body could develop into that of a Division I prospect.  

Though no one doubts Cordell's skills, Jim Mora Jr.'s offer could be considered a PR move since Snoop Dogg tends to favor USC and their football program. 

Cordell's current coach, Diamond Bar's Ryan Maine, said, "We're expecting him to really lead us the next three years.  Hopefully [our athletes] get bigger, stronger and keep leading this team."

Cordell recently spoke about his move to Diamond Bar from Long Beach (Calif.) Polytechnic High saying, "The move was difficult when it first happened, meeting new friends and a new team.  It's been good ever since. The competition level at Long Beach Poly is a whole lot different than it is down here, but I've learned that it's all on me and how hard I work."

Would it be a smart move for Cordell to lock in this scholarship now for 2015...or await more offers?  Either way, congrats to him on nabbing an offer after only 1 year of high school play!

50 Cent RUSHED To The Hospital After HORRIBLE Car Accident Involving A MACK TRUCK!

Rapper 50 Cent was rushed to a hospital in Queens, NY early this morning after his bullet-proof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck.  Deets inside....

A bullet-proof SUV containing rapper 50 Cent was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler this morning, sending the rapper and his driver to a Queens hospital at 3am. 

Thisis50.com posted pics and details, including the rapper on a stretcher, and it looks pretty scary.  Damage was done to both the MACK truck and the SUV:

50 and his driver were admitted to the hospital where tests were run on their necks and backs.  They have both been released, but this could have ended up much worse.  Get well soon Curtis!

The self-proclaimed Queen of Miami shot the visuals in Miami Gardens, complete with video chicks rocking short shorts, 6-inch-heels, bras & crop tops.  You know--the usual outfit for car washers.  But chick still looks great.

SPOTTED: Ashanti & Nelly CHILL In Downtown St. Louis

Ashanti & Nelly still may not publicly admit they're a couple, but almost 10 years after the first rumors of their romance began, they're still coupled up in various places.

 

Yesterday, Nelly was spotted bringing Ashanti to his hometoww of St. Louis where they ran into a few fans.  Pics inside....

31-year-old Ashanti, rocking cutoff shorts and the Jordan 4 sneakers, was spotted grabbing coffee with her 37-year-old boo Nelly in downtown STL:

The twosome snapped pics with fans who spotted them after their Starbucks run.  We also caught a few recent Twitter exchanges between the duo during the NBA Finals.  And there was lots of "naked massage" talk as the "prize" as they bet each other that their fave team would win.  And since Ashanti was pulling for OKC....we wonder how that massage went....

Willow Smith has tweeted that the tongue piercing she displayed in a photo recently is fake.  Get the deets inside and see Keyshia Cole on the set of "Enough of No Love" inside.....

 

Eyes-rolled everywhere when Willow Smith tweeted a photo of herself with a pierced tongue.  Many folks thought with the shaved head and eccentric outfits, the Smith's wild child (as some would describe had gone too far, but....relax.  It's not real.  

Willow put fans and parents around the globe at ease when she updated the Instagram photo with the caption, "It's fake... Sorry."  They have fake tongue rings now?  These kids nowadays...

Look who's back.......

Keyshia Cole shot the video for “Enough of No Love,” this weekend, the lead single off her upcoming Woman to Woman cd. Her husband, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, tweeted a photo from the set saying, “A wrap!”   Lil' Wayne is also featured on the song.

Keyshia's hitting the ESSENCE Music Festival on July 6 and will be starring in a reality show called “Keyshia Cole: Family First,” later this year.  She's still M.I.A. on Twitter though.  Sure she'll be back just in time to promote her album though....

CLAP BACK: MempHitz ADDRESSES K. Michelle's ABUSE ALLEGATIONS, Says He Only "RESTRAINED" Her!

Memphitz called into TT Torrez's radio show recently where he gave a detailed account of his relationship with K. Michelle. He discussed signing her to his label, falling in love with her and some of her violent outbursts which forced him to "restrain" her. Deets inside....

Memphitz has taken to publically defending himself against accusations made by reality tv star K. Michelle, who stars on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta."  Since K. Michelle alleged that he abused her, the record exec has blasted her as a liar and says though they did have fights, he only restrained her when she hit him!

 On how Memphitz and K. Michelle met:

Memphitz explains how he and K. Michelle met in New York. After K. Michelle sang for him for the first time, he said he was blown away and HAD to sign her. Memphitz was the Vice President of the A&R department at Jive Records after leaving Arista.

On how Memphitz and K. Michelle got involved intimately:

After signing K. Michelle, he would have her travel with him to sing for everyone. Late night studio sessions led them to begin mixing business with pleasure. Memphitz said he shouldn't have gotten involved with his artist but he did.

He said things started happening between them that caused the relationship to turn sour. If Memphitz would listen to another female artist, K. Michelle would get upset. He said he was very fond of K but she was more in love with him than he was with her. He said they NEVER lived together but she did stay in his house in Atlanta and condo in New York.

On K. Michelle getting a $2 million dollar deal from Jive:

Memphitz said K. Michelle was signed for about $500,000, not $2 million. He said he "fixed" things on her to market her (i.e. breast implants). He claims he never touched the money she got from Jive to fund personal luxuries. He said the label handles the money after a budget is submitted so there's no way he could have used her money for personal reasons.

On why he got fired from Jive:

Memphitz says he was running a one-man show and just had too many things going on. He also added K. Michelle was going to the record label telling them Memphitz hit her which also may have had something to do with him being fired. He said, "She says that whenever she thinks she has a stage."

On an argument/altercation where he allegedly put his hands over her mouth:

Memphitz said he went to the hotel room to let K. Michelle know he was DONE with her. He claims she started swinging at him and throwing things at him while he tries to get to the door. He said he went to the house cleaning ladies to call for help. He then grabbed her and held her arms down to restrain her from hitting him.  He admits to covering her mouth to keep her from screaming. 

On why K. Michelle didn't say his name on "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta":

Memphitz says the reason K. Michelle didn't say his name on "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" was because he had his lawyers call the producers of the show and said they were NOT able to say his name unless they have proof that he beat her!

On his relationship with K. Michelle, Ariane:

Memphitz claims he use to date K. Michelle's friend, Ariane, on the show.

On if he cheated on his wife, Toya Wright, with K. Michelle:

He said no. Memphitz claims all of this came about because he got married.

On K. Michelle being abused:

He said she was abused before but it wasn't by him.

On how Toya and his family are handling the negative media attention:

Memphitz said his wife, his daughters, family and friends know him and know he would not do that. He said "it is what is."

On his Twitter comment, "I Made You":

First, he apologized for saying "I made you." He said he didn't make her, God gave her her voice. Memphitz said he meant he put her image together for the industry.

On if he could ever sit-down and bury this:

Memphitz said he not burying anything with the devil. He said he wishes her the best of success but he wants nothing to do with her. He said he hopes K. Michelle gets help!  Memphitz said he NEVER hit a woman/girl and never will!

Meet The "R&B Divas": Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson & Keke Wyatt

Ever wondered what ever happened to your fave R&B chicks of the 90's and the millennium?  Well they're back and putting their lives on a reality tv platter.  Meet the ladies of TV One's upcoming "R&B Divas" show, (l-r) Monifah Carter, Nicci Gilbert, Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson & Keke Wyatt, inside....

 

The R&B gals from the (semi) past are letting us in on what's been happening since they've been in the limelight.

The new reality series tells the current, real-life story of five multi-talented R&B stars (remember back when you needed actually talent in order to be a star?) who hit the spotlight, and then saw it dim.

According to the press release, this is what's going down:

The series offers a personal glimpse into their private worlds as they lean on each other and offer candid revelations about their efforts to deal with major life transitions and challenges such as divorce, parenting issues, drugs, alcohol, physical abuse and more.

These friends come together, at the instigation of Faith Evans, to produce a charity album inspired by her friend, Whitney Houston. In honor of the late singer, proceeds from the album will benefit the Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts, an institution that Houston attended, located in her hometown of East Orange, NJ. At the same time, they are all juggling myriad personal challenges and responsibilities in addition to making music - including raising families. Faith prepares for a major move as she maintains her businesses and helps manage the estate of a music icon. Monifah reveals a bombshell that could drive a wedge between them. Keke is pregnant and the women are convinced that she can't go anywhere without her husband/manager. Nicci is launching a new plus-sized clothing line called Curvato, while Syleena makes a career decision that will affect her entire family and put additional strain on her financially.

Faith Evans: Faith has been in the industry for over 10 years and was previously married to the Notorius B.I.G.  And after winning a Grammy, dropping three platinum albums and becoming a NYT Best Selling author, she's the center of this friendship circle of ladies.

Nicci Gilbert: She's the lead singer/songwriter from the R&B group Brownstone.  She's now spun her 15-year-career into the acting and fashion worlds.

Monifah: After getting her start singing background for reggae artist Maxi Priest, she worked with Heavy D to get her career and first album Moods...Moments off the ground in the late 90's.  Fifteen years and 1 Gold certified album later, the "I Miss You" singer is currently writing, producing and recording her fourth CD as she continues performing live with her band "Soulution."

Syleena Johnson:  The singer says she lost her love for music "for a minute because it broke my heart at one point...but I am glad to say that we are back together and learning to love each other again." The daughter of the nation's first black female police commissioner and legendary soul and blues singer Syl Johnson, she was initially discouraged from getting into the music business by her father, who had many disappointing experiences in the industry.But after training and a breakup with an abusive boyfriend, she embarked on a career 10 years ago.  She's well known for handling the vocals on Kanye West's "All Falls Down" track.

Ketara Shavon Wyatt, b.k.a. Keke Wyatt:  She's the daughter of a Caucasian vocalist mother and an African American organist/vocalist father and started singing at two. KeKe grew up in the church, where the family had the image of a happy Christian family; but behind closed doors there were problems stemming from abuse and also adversity experienced by the family's multi-racial background.  At the height of her career breakthrough, the "Nothing In This World" singer's private struggle with domestic violence became the main focus in the media. In 2001, Wyatt was arrested for stabbing her husband; the charges were later dropped, but her career suffered from the negative attention. In 2004, the songstress signed to New Orleans based Cash Money Records.  Thanks to Hurricane Katrina, her album promo and sales suffered.  She now serves as a spokesperson for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
 

The show premieres on Monday, August 20 at 10 PM ET on TV One.  Will you be watching?

TV FAB: Oprah INTERVIEWS LeBron James, Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh For “Oprah’s Next Chapter”

Oprah Winfrey has announced that she'll interview the Big 3 of the 2012 NBA Champions Miami Heat next week.  Get the deets on her sit-down with LeBron, Dwyane and Chris inside.....

 

On the heels of a rating surge, “Oprah’s Next Chapter” continues to bring the "MUST SEE" interviews as she sits down with NBA champs LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh next week at 8 p.m. Sunday on OWN. 

Lady O's OWN said of the interview, “Winfrey will talk with the world champions about the challenges leading up to their historic win, their friendships on and off the court and the women in their lives.”

The interview will be taped at Miami’s American Airlines Arena.  Will the wives and girlfriends make an appearance...since O is all about ratings these days and all?  This will be interesting...

Lil' Scrappy DISHES To The Breakfast Club On Diamond's CHEATING, FIGHTING Stevie J & If Joseline Is A Man!

Lil' Scrappy, pictured above with his mama and co-star Dee, stopped by Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" where he dished on "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," the Erica Dixon/Diamond love triangle and what he really thinks of Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez. Listen inside.......

Lil' Scrappy chatted it up with The Breakfast Club this morning where he talked about his reality show drama with his "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" co-stars and broke down his love life.

First, he says he never cheated on baby momma Erica Dixon because they were broken up when he got with Diamond.  Erica told us the same thing during our interview with her before the premiere of the show.

Although they are together now, he complained--on the show--that Erica still has a problem giving him the affection he needs.  

When asked about his relationship with rapper Diamond, he said he was most upset about the fact that she embarrassed him and cheated with Soulja Boy for all the world to see.  Yes, that could be embarrassing.  Oh, and Scrappy also alludes to buying Diamond an ass.  Seems like the thing that bonds all the "LAHH ATL" cast...

He then revealed that he will have a scuffle with Stevie J on the show (which we see a bit of in the previews)...but he brags that he did MOST of the swinging.  And when it comes to Joseline Hernandez, although he didn't outright say he thinks she is a man, he did refer to her as "it" throughout the chat.  He also added a funny story about Joseline pumping iron at the gym....like a man.

Solange Gets Sisterly Birthday Love From Beyonce!

Celebrating your birthday in London with your famous big sis and brother-in-law and more aint too shabby.  Solange Knowles posted a few super cute pics of her time at BBC Radio 1's Hackney weekend.  And her sis Beyonce showered her with birthday love...

Solange posted the pic above of her and Bey playing around at the Hackney Marshes saying, "We.Are.Family...."  She turned 26 on Sunday and rang in her big day by spending time with her family and taking in her brother-in-law Jay-Z's Saturday set.  The sisters also stuck around for Sunday's line-up, where Jay made an appearance with Rihanna.

The "T.O.N.Y." singer Instagram'd a pic of her cute-as-usual outfit saying, "Blue and yellow and birthday love...Thank You!"  Loves it.

And another pic of her chillin' in London Friday night where she described her look as "Vampires In London":
