Rapper Slim Dunkin Shot Dead In A Recording Studio

This is so, so tragic.

The up-and-coming rapper Slim Dunkin was shot and killed in an Atlanta recording studio Friday night.

He was shot once in the chest with a handgun at around 5:30 pm as he was working in the studio, preparing to make a video. About a dozen people were also in the studio.

Atlanta Police Maj. Keith Meadows describes what happened:

"Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don't know what that altercation was about.

Right now we're just trying to . . . identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We're just trying to go back and make sense of everything."

Slim Dunkin, real name Mario Hamilton, was pronounced dead at Memorial Grady Hospital.

So unbelievably sad. This did not have to happen. Violence is NEVER, ever the answer.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Peeta Josh Hutcherson Talks Hunger Games

We're getting closer and closer to the release date!

Josh Hutcherson, the hawtie playing Peeta Mellark in the upcoming Hunger Games movie has a lot to say about the movie, his character, a real-life Hunger Games, and complementing co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

So what does he have to say?

"Jennifer's portrayal of Katniss is so spot on. She really does encapsulate Katniss' strength as a heroine perfectly. She to me is the one that stands out immediately."

As for who would win a real-life Hunger Games, him, Jennifer or their co-star Liam Hemsworth, Josh says:

"That's a tough question, honestly. I grew up playing outside, playing in the woods. I'm very into camping and survivalist kinda things. I watch a lot of Man Vs. Wild, so I feel like I'm well prepared in that sense. It would be a close one. I might be a frontrunner in that battle, I'm not sure!"

Since his character in the movie is a son of a baker, Josh talks about whether or not HE himself can bake a thing or two in the kitchen. Jake's response:

"I can bake. I can bake a mean apple pie. A French apple pie! That's how good I am. I can bake a little, I made some loaves of bread that weren't that bad actually. I'm more of a grill master."

So, he's nice to his co-stars, is an outdoorsy tough guy AND can make his way around a kitchen? This guy's got a very, very good future.

Hunger Games will be released March 23, 2012!

The Big Bang Theory Celebrates 100 Episodes!!

100 episodes already?? That's a huge accomplishment for a TV show!

The cast of The Big Bang Theory celebrated their 100th episode with a poppin' party at the California Science Center in El Lay.

Stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyer, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, and executive producer Chuck Lorre rocked out with the Barenaked Ladies, who performed at the party, and a huge cake, which they all took turns cutting.

Looks like fun! Congrats on the huge milestone!

Those of U taking UR kids, nephews, and nieces to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked this weekend will be helping to bring the franchise towards that billion dollar mark!

That's right, folks! Since 2007, the Chipmunks franchise has grossed $939,476,638! Wowsa!

Maybe we should get onboard with Alvin! We'd LOVE to sing with the little guys in the fourth movie!

Captain America Creator Dies At 98

The creator of one of America's greatest superheroes has died.

Joe Simon co-created Captain America with Jack Kirby. The character was famously introduced during World War II.

On the first cover of Captain America, Cap punches Hitler in the jaw.

Simon passed away at the age of 98.

Cap rivaled Superman as one of the most popular characters during the war but Cap's popularity waned after the war ended.

After leaving Timely Comics, Marvel's forerunner, for DC's predecessor, National Comics, Simon and Kirby created other superheroes such as Captain Marvel.

But Simon will always be remembered for his work with Captain America.

In recent days, Cap's popularity has returned.

Chris Evans stars as the superhero in Captain America film.

He will also appear as Cap in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Flashdance Is Coming To Broadway!

Who's ready for a steel town girl looking for the fight of her life?!

Only this time, this girl will be on Broadway!

Sergio Trujillo will direct and choreograph the musical with readings in NYC this winter.Tom Headley, who co-wrote the Flashdance film, will return as writer of the musical.

The musical will be a fully reworked version of FLASHDANCE in from West End in 2010 and new Flashdance will be released in Fall 2012.

Producer Thomas Viertel said the following on the deveolpment of the musical:

We felt we'd learned enough from the London production to re-work the show substantially and then perhaps take it out on tour, but then we did a table reading of the new script this fall and felt we had the makings of a solid Broadway show. It was a Lazarus-like moment.

Britney And Jason Confirm Engagement, She Changes Her Facebook Status!!!!

We are SO SO SO happy for our gurl!!!

Thursday night, Jason Trawick popped the question and Britney said "YES!!"

Britney had anticipated that Jason was going to propose to her Friday night at his 40th birthday party, but he just couldn't wait! He jumped the gun and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him the night before.

Jason confirmed the engagement, saying:

"Yes, we are engaged. [We're] over the moon."

Jason also said that Brit Brit's boys Sean Preston and Jayden James witnessed the proposal, which made it extra special.

Aww!

Brit then changed her Facebook status from "In a relationship" to "Engaged," making it totally officiall, y'all!!! She also tweeted about it, calling Jason her "fiancé":

Seeing Brit happy makes US so happy! This is such an exciting time in her life and we can't wait to see what the next chapter of her life brings.

Congrats x1000000000, Britney and Jason!!
