Cole featuring Miguel, Kevin McCall featuring 2 Chainz and French Montana featuring Nicki Minaj.   In preparation of his sophomore album Born Sinner, J. Cole has dropped a self-produced single featuring Miguel called “Power Trip.” The single will be available globally on February 15th. On the song, J. Cole talks about a relationship that goes from admiration that ultimately leads to obsession. He spoke of the track saying, “I’ve always wanted to use my voice to shift culture, even if just a millimeter. This song is one of my strongest to date and I look forward to hearing fans reactions,” says J. Cole. Also, J. Cole will speak at Harvard University’s Hip Hop Archive on February 26th. Entitled "The Mindstate of a Winner: A Conversation with J. Cole,” he'll dialogue before 100 students with Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Professor Marcyliena Morgan.   Listen to "Power Trip" here:   Also...... STRAIGHT DISORDERLY: Jim Jones ARRESTED! Posted: 14 Feb 2013 08:21 AM PST Rapper and former VH1 reality star Jim Jones was arrested yesterday for disorderly conduct involving a police officer.  So much for his "never been to jail" track record  Deets inside.. Thanks to a curbside parking issue in his Fair Lawn neighborhood in New Jersey, "Ballin'" rapper Jimmy Jones got taken in after poppin' off on the police officer who was issuing a citation.  And it didnt help tha once the cop ran his name, he found two outstanding warrants for a motor vehicle violation and not removing snow from his sidewalk.  Gangsta. The Fair Lawn-Saddlebrook Patch reports: Jones, whose legal name is Joseph, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction for refusing to peaceably settle two outstanding warrants for his arrest, Lt. Derek Bastinck said. Sgt. James Corcoran was in the process of responding to a complaint of a snowbound and illegally parked car outside Jones' home at the corner of Grunauer Place and Ward Street, when Jones approached him to ask what he was doing, Bastinck said. Bastinck said when Corcoran proceeded to run Jones' name through a police database, he found two warrants out for Jones' arrest -- one from Paterson for a motor vehicle violation and one from Fair Lawn for failure to remove snow from his sidewalk. When Corcoran asked Jones to go with him to police headquarters to settle both outstandings warrants, Jones denied their existence and became disorderly, according to police reports. "If [people with outstanding warrants] agree, we'll just have them come down and pay what they owe," Bastinck said, "but if they don't agree, they're placed under arrest." As a result of his failure to cooperate, Jones was arrested and taken into police custody, Bastinck said. On a side note--if the car Jimmy was inquiring about was his/his family's--and we assume it was--and the cop didn't give him a valid reason why it was being cited, it's understandable someone would get a bit pissed.  But in that area of Jersey....that may not have gone over well. Chrissy's going to love this....

"Blade Runner" Olympian Oscar Pistorius CHARGED With Allegedly MURDERING Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp Posted: 14 Feb 2013 07:48 AM PST   Double amputee Oscar Pistorius, the 2012 Olympian who represented for South Africa, has been accused of murdering his girlfriend, aspiring model Reeva Steenkamp. Find out what happened inside.... It's not necessarily YBF news, but it's a shocker you need to know.  This morning, Oscar Pistorius aka "Blade Runner" who became an international symbol of inspiration after becoming the first double amputee to compete in the Olympics, has been accused of murdering his girlfriend.  She was a model and law graduate named Reeva Steenkamp, and the two had reportedly been dating for a few months. Reeva, who was shot in the hand and head, was found dead at Oscar's home in Pretoria, South Africa. Police, who responded to reports of gun fire at Oscar's upscale housing complex,  arrived and found paramedics treating Reeva for gunshot wounds.  She was pronounced dead and Oscar was taken into custody.  The NY Times reports that Oscar claims he mistook Reeva for an "intruder."  He even tweeted back in November about almost going "full combat recon" when he thought the sound of his washing machine was an intruder in his home. Police spokeswoman, Brig. Denise Beukes said reports about there being an intruder had taken her by surprise and she noted that police had responded to previous complaints of a “domestic nature” at Oscar's home before. The couple had reportedly been dating for a few months. Oscar's father, Henke Pistorius, told the South African Broadcasting Corporation: “I don’t know nothing. It will be extremely obnoxious and rude to speculate. I don’t know the facts. If anyone makes a statement, it will be Oscar. He’s sad at the moment.” Telegraph UK has up to the minute updates, and Oscar will appear in court this Friday. An odd & ironic turn of events...especially on Valentine's Day.   Photo via Getty

REALITY TEA: "LAHH 3" Star Erica Mena Has VICIOUS FIGHT AT Nail Salon (VIDEO) + Romeo & Sean Kington LAND New "Fame In The Family" Show Posted: 14 Feb 2013 06:53 AM PST "LAHH" star Erica Mena was caught fighting at a nail salon recently as her co-star and boyfriend Rich Dollaz stood by.  See the footage inside and watch the trailer for Romeo and Sean Kingston's new reality tv special. "Love & Hip Hop" star Erica Mena, whose quick temper has been one of the major storyline, was involved in a vicious catfight at Nail Lounge in NYC for a lipstick launch recently. TMZ alleges that all the hair-pulling and name-calling allegedly began after a woman named Tiffany told Erica that she had hooked up with her ex-boyfriend. The fight has already begun once the footage starts and all we see is a room pull of party goers (and Rich Dollaz) watching the aftermath as several men are pulling the women apart. There are also tons of men with cameras walking around so this was likely caught on tape for "LAHH." Sigh... Erica even threatens to attack one of the men trying to break up the fight. And she's heard telling someone "F*ck LAHH!" Oh? After the fight, Erica tweeted,"Yeah I knocked @Tiffsway The F*ck Out Tonight SOO Classic! … She wanted A Min of Knock out fame and got it!!!” Classy. Watch the fight footage below:     And in other reality tv news...... The E! Network has announced a new special called "Fame In The Family" that takes a look at the integral role that family relationships play in the lives of rappers Romeo Miller and Sean Kingston. The show will focus on their triumphs and struggles while giving a peek into their real business and real issues while focusing on positive outcomes. It premieres this Sunday Feb 17th at 10:30p/9:30c.  And if Romeo is shirtless at any point in time on this ish, I'm watching.

Daniel Gibson & Keyshia Cole Blast Rumors Of The Marital Problems With Cutesy V-Day Pics Posted: 14 Feb 2013 06:20 AM PST All week, rumors have been swirling of singer Keyshia Cole and Cavs baller Daniel "Boobie" Gibson having marital issues.  All thanks to a few sub-tweets.  But the NBA couple put rumors to rest this morning with a few Valentine's Day pics with each other..... Keyshia Cole recently posted a note about replacing a man if he shows her he doesn't care.  Boobie tweeted something afterwards saying, "I remember me now".  And a few Tupac song lyrics about suffering through the years and the tears that made people believe they were subtweeting about issues in their relationship. So internet rumors started swirling. And let's face it, based off that "Keyshia & Daniel: Family First" BET reality show....a breakup wouldn't have been a shocker to anyone. But this morning, Boobie posted these pics of himself cuddled up with his wife and flipping off the camera saying, "Don't Believe Everything you Read.. #Luv." He went on to say: We the cause a all of tha commotion.. Ya mouth runnin but where is ya goin'....I just amazes me how.. In a world already filled with so much tragedy & hardship. Posted: 13 Feb 2013 05:20 PM PST Jada Pinkett Smith took in the last day of Fashion Week at the Michael Kors show with her daughter Willow.  We've got pics of the Smith ladies, Zoe Saldana, Eve, A$AP Rocky and more inside..... Jada Pinkett Smith, in a green croc trench coat, and her 12-year-old daughter Willow Smith made their way to the Lincoln Center in Manhattan today to take in the last round of Fashion Week shows.  They both kicked it front row with actress Zoe Saldana. And snapped some pics backstage before hamming it up with Mr. Kors himself: After the show:   Must be nice to be 12 and spend your school day morning chillin' at fashion shows while your friends are battling long division. Eve was spotted at the Elie Tahari Fall 2013 fashion show with "GMA" anchor Lara Spencer.   Celebs also headed over to the Jeremy Scott fall 2013 fashion show during MADE fashion week at Milk Studios.  And "Vampire Diaries" actress Kat Graham--who's newly blonde and rocking a colorful dress byt he designer--chopped it up with photographer Terry Richardson: Big Sean hit up the show: Even rapper Waka Flocka hit up the show.  For some reason. Under the watchful eye of celebrity stylist Olori Swank and photographer DeWayne Rogers, "BBW LA" star Draya Michelle took off her top for a photo shoot with ROLLING OUT Magazine. In a letter posted exclusively only her "Everything Girls Love" site, "LAHH: star Yandy Smith wrote an open letter to fans (and critics) about the not guilty verdict recently handed down to her longterm boyfriend Mendeecees Harris, how she feels about the young woman involved and how she plans to use her forum to help young women. While she readily admits that she hasn't figured everything out, it does seem that she has a grip on her reality and was completely torn up by watching the man she loved be dragged through the mud.  It's interesting to note that she is standing by her man and she does not mention his OTHER charges involving drug trafficking.  But in reality, it wouldn't be in her best interest for her to address that anyway.  Here's Yandy's letter, To My Supporters, The past few weeks have been some of the hardest days, hours, and minutes of my life. I found myself torn between a man that I know and love, and an accusation that makes me sick to my stomach. I hoped and prayed that someone I loved so dearly could not be guilty of such a disgusting and shameful act… I hoped, but I did NOT assume. I chose to stay silent until I was able to hear both sides and form my own opinion. I went to court every single day; I listened intently to the case from both sides ready to face whatever truth was revealed. In the end, the truth is Mendeecees Harris may be many things, but he is NOT guilty of the heinous accusations made against him. I won’t get into much detail because at the other side of this is a young woman that regardless of the outcome, remains broken. I pray that she is able to move past this and realize her full potential and I pray that the world is able to accept that in this case justice was served. As a woman, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and a human being, it breaks my heart when I hear of crimes committed against children. There is nothing worse than offenses against those whose lives are so precious and who look to us to guide them and help them understand the world. Children that are abused are robbed of their innocence, their childhoods, and their self-esteem. They’re robbed of their optimism and dreams and forced to see the evils of the world before they can see the beauty. My life has been and will continue to be devoted to empowering women and helping young women to aspire to accomplish and go after their dreams and because of this, I would never knowingly or willingly support or condone any behavior contrary to the very things I stand for. I am so thankful to the people who supported us and stood by our side through what was an extremely overwhelming and challenging time. There is no time more fitting than now to introduce something that is dear to my heart. I want to build up the spirits of some of those broken young girls. I want to inspire the ones that are strong and I want to further encourage those that seek to be educated and stimulated. The EGL team and I have been diligently working on our Mentoring program The EGL P.U.D. Initiative (Partners Uplifting Our Daughters), which is set to launch this spring. The mission of EGL P.U.D. Initiative is to help young girls utilize written expression as a tool for overcoming emotional obstacles and embracing their worth in order to reach their full potential. By using written expression as a tool, young women can become more advanced in their writing abilities; this in turn promotes confidence, which is developed through achievements. Our goal is to reduce emotional despair and improve self-esteem in young girls ages 12-17, by providing instruction, guidance, encouragement, reinforcement and support. This will afford them the confidence necessary to reach their full potential, as they move on to college. To those of you who have supported me, prayed for me, and did not pass judgement, I want to say THANK YOU. Your prayers and support have helped me through a very difficult time. I have worked very hard to build a reputation based on hard work, loyalty, and perseverance. The faith, values and ethics that got me to this point in my life are stronger now than ever before. My personal life has been a roller-coaster this year, filled with highs and lows, and I’d be lying if I say I have it all figured out. I don’t. I’m giving it up to God and I’m leaving it up to him to guide me in the right direction as he’s done many times before. In the meantime I’m going to focus on what I do best, business. The cast of "BBW" (Tami Roman, Suzy Ketcham, Evelyn Lozada, Shaunie O'Neal) got together at Le Posh Spa in Hollywood to toast the launch of Tami's new "Spring Love" line of nail polishes!   An former "Love & Hip Hop" star Somaya Reece was there as well.  VH1 family love. Tami's "Love Cosmetics" Celebrity Nail Bar event offered celebrities and tastemakers complimentary manicures and pedicures and some exquisite gift bags to showcase the polishes.  Fellow VH1 reality tv star Stevie J. was at the event too. Phaedra Parks Is Having Another BOY + Gabby Union Reveals Valentine's Day Plans WIth D-Wade Posted: 13 Feb 2013 01:28 PM PST Phaedra Parks just revealed she's expecting another baby boy.  Deets inside, plus Gabrielle Union dishes on how she and D-Wade spend Valentine's Day....and how he better do something good this year... After exposing her baby bump for the first time this past December, 40-year-old "RHOA" star Phaedra Parks has revealed it's another boy for her and hubby Apollo Nida. Phaedra, pictured above at a taping of "The Crossover" on NBC Sports Network this week, tells Us Weekly about the new baby boy joining big brother Ayden (who's 2): "I will be having another little boy!" “[Ayden]'s such a great helper.  He'll be a wonderful little brother because he likes to help and he's so smart.” The "Housewife" said she and her hubby were hoping for a girl, but they're obviously excited no matter what. “I would entertain a third child, but I would have to guarantee that it was a little girl. I think that would be plenty after that,” adding, “I’m just super excited for this baby to get here!” And this time around, Phaedra's playing it even safer since she has a condition diagnosed by docs this time around: “Doctors have diagnosed me with placenta previa, which means I need to be careful this time around because I can’t have a vaginal birth." She's set for a C-section at the end of May.       And in couple's news, while promoting the BET Honors show that aired this past Monday, host Gabrielle Union dished to People.com about Valentine's day with her man, Heat baller Dwyane Wade.  And she even issued a challenge that he better do something nice...because she'll be working in Atlanta.  And he won't be working at all.  Check it above.   Pic: Twitter

See Trina, Toya Wright and more supporting their girl inside... Everybody wants to be a designer.  And Shateria Moragne-El, the girlfriend of Rick Ross, who started a clothing line called FRONTROW, made a big impression yesterday during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. We told you previously about her line and how she has the full support and backing of her boyfriend.  Of course.    Her presentation was attended by her celebrity friends, including Trina, who tweeted a pic of them from backstage. Toya Wright also came out to check out the upcoming collection and lend her support. And Rick was right there to support his boo tweeting, "Only fat nigga sitting Frontrow at the fashion show. @iFRONTROW" And our sources spotted him sipping a few cocktails while sitting FRONTROW before the show began.  Classy.   Some FRONTROW looks fresh off the runway... Beyonce & Solange Caught On Video Dancing To BOUNCE Music At Afterparty, Solange Added To 2013 Essence Music Fest Lineup Posted: 13 Feb 2013 10:39 AM PST Everybody needs a Bounce break every now and then...especially when it's Mardi Gras Day and Solange is on the 1's and 2's.  Check out little sis DJ'ing for Beyonce's "Life Is But A Dream" after party...and them dancing in their own world...inside... Texas gals Beyonce and Solange put on DJ Jubilee's classic New Orleans Bounce track "Get It Ready" last night at Bey's HBO Documentary afterparty at Christie's.  Fashion designer Rubin Singer, who designed Mrs. Carter's Superbowl halftime show look, caught the twosome on video dancing behind the DJ booth. Solo was on the turntables and Bey had her hubby Jay-Z's tie around her neck. Fun times.   By the way, "Losing You" singer Solange--in addition to Trey Songz--just got added to the 2013 Essence Music Festival lineup's main stage.  The announcement comes just days after her big sis was announced as a headliner. It pays to keep it in the family as Solo is usually performing in one of the Superlounges during EMF.  Movin' on up....

FAMILY DAY: Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz Take Egypt OUT In Hollywood Posted: 13 Feb 2013 09:53 AM PST Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz were spotted out and about in Hollywood with their son Egypt Daoud Dean.  Find out what they were up to inside.... Alicia Keys, who's heading out on tour on March 7th, was spotted out with her family, husband Swizz Beatz and son Egypt in Hollywood, CA yesterday.  Looks like they were all taking a reather jst days after Alicia's GRAMMY performance.    The fashionable family dined at Newsroom and they went shopping at Kitson. So cute! We'll be seeing and hearing even bigger things from Swizz in 2013 as he's been announced an investment in Monster, the electronics giant.  He says, "They built an empire, and my job will be to push the envelope–turn the lights of the castle up really bright and help Monster take its next big step forward.” By the way, Monster was behind "Beats By Dr. Dre," so it will be interesting to see what Swizz comes up with.   Picture by: Zodiac/ VLNY/ Splash News
