| WEDDING FAB: NBA Baller Tyrus Thomas Gets Hitched In GORGEOUS Wedding To Jaime Collins Posted: 01 Sep 2011 09:52 AM PDT You know we love a good wedding. And Charlotte Bobcats Forward Tyrus Thomas recenty wed his long-term girlfriend Jaime Collins. And you know we've got the pics from their fab Louisiana wedding inside.... In a fairytale wedding this past July, 25-year-old Tyrus Thomas married his fiancee' Jaime Collins at Louisiana's Old State Capitol overlooking the Mississippi River in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Loves this pic!
Jaime wore Vera Wang's strapless "Diana" gown, and her 'something blue' were her custom beaded Christian Louboutin heels with blue crystals. Tyrus' BFFs Garrett Temple and NBAer Glen "Big Baby" Davis were the best men who both rocked custom suits by Brown and Brown--two buttons, pique stitching and a European fit.
The ceremony was held in the old House chamber. According to the wedding planne, Audi Brown, she said, "Jaime didn't want a lot of decor because the capital is beautiful in and of itself." Agreed. But a chick can never have too many flowers... After the ceremony, the Michael Foster Second Line Band played as the couple and their 400 guests walked in a second line parade with mardi gras beads and umbrellas. And the newlyweds rode in a Cinderella-style carriage. Pics of the reception decor: The reception was held in the Riverview Ballroom at the Hilton Capitol Center. Chiavari chairs had lace inspired silver mesh and sequin accent covers. And there were custom-cut mirrors by Custom Accents made for each table and topped with candles and crystals to create a beautiful ambience. The centerpieces, by Fleur du Jour, consisted of purple hydrangeas, dendobrium orchids, calla lilies, Phalaenopsis orchids and oriental lilies. For dinner, guests chomped on filet mignon, garlic shrimp, and crabcakes with potatoes and carrots. For dessert, brownie bites and bananas foster beignets were served. Yum!
The ice sculpture above was inspired by an African symbol for perseverance, a tattoo, which Jamie has on her wrist. The symbol was used throughout the wedding on the invitation, menu and dance floor. The wedding planner said, "We wanted to incorporate the symbol as a nod to Jaime and Tyrus who have maintained their relationship all of these years." The couple shared their first dance to "Until the End of Time" by Justin Timberlake and Beyonce.
Look at this hand-painted groom's cake, by Cake Goddess. Audi described, "Inside were all of his favorite things like an iPad, sneakers and his New York hat. He couldn't believe it was real and kept saying 'how did y'all get my luggage?'" This was a fab wedding indeed. Congrats to the couple!

Who's the last person you'd expect to end up sitting next to him? EXACTLY! Ray J. Find out about their awkward exchange inside.... It's bad enough when you see you current partner's ex from across the rooom. But imagine being in the confined space of an airplane where there's no where to go and you are forced to acknowledge each other! That's exactly what happened to Kris Humphries on Sunday when he bumped into Ray J (Kim Kardashian's ex) on a Delta flight from LA to New Orleans. According to the NY Post (take it or leave it), Kris was already on the plane sitting in an aisle seat when Ray J boarded and sat across from him. Umm....awwwwkward. Sources say Kris sat there for a few minutes (probably with all kinds of thoughts racing through his head) before he moved to a seat in front of him. Seeing the guy face-to-face who banged out your wife on an international platform would have that effect on you. But being the gentleman that he is, Ray J broke the silence and went up to Kris to congratulate him on the wedding. But the source said Kris threw some shade and pretended that he didn't know who Ray J was. SMH. Then Ray J said, ‘Come on, you know who I am. I just want to say congratulations.’ After getting called out, Kris said, ‘Oh yeah, yeah, I’m sorry I know who you are.’ ” I wish I could have been in seat B3.....with my iPhone strategically placed. In other Kardashian news, if you care, there's a mystey buyer speaking to Vivid Entertainment about buying the rights to the Ray J/Kim K sex tape for $30 mill. No one knows who it is but.....the $65 million dollar Kardashian clan could surely afford to take the tape off the market. But we ALL know they don't even like to pay for a pack of gum out their own pockets. Maybe E! can sponsore the deal...  |
| BRAWL DETAILS: Teyana Taylor & Movie Director's BLOODY Knock Down Drag Out FIGHT On Set! Posted: 01 Sep 2011 08:41 AM PDT In case you weren't aware (hell, we weren't either), Teyana Taylor's shooting a new movie (pictured here on set) called Gang of Roses 2 co-starring Amber Rose, her man Wiz Khalifa, and a few other folks. And while the movie itself will likely be straight-to-DVD, the drama on the set is surely getting all types of coverage.
Apparently, Teyana went bad on the movie's director, Jean-Claude La Marre. The Harlem chick tried to whoop his ass because he wouldn't let her leave set to tend to a toothache. Deets inside... On the L.A. set of this movie, Teyana popped off in major proportions on her director all because he wouldn't let her leave the set via car service. Apparently, Teyana attacked him and started swinging on dude--according to La Marre. And she ended up getting pushed and literally scrapping on the set--clothes torn, face bloody and everything. But La Marre said he was just defending himself. TMZ reports what La Marre says went down:
Now, the director has supposeldy added in a twist to the movie and killed off Teyana's character. T has filed a restraining order. Need picture proof?

We've got the pics from her fashion-driven spread inside... Onicka, who won Best Hip-Hop Video for "Superbass" at last Sunday's VMAs, is rocking a black and white starry Dolce & Gabbana body-con dress in the first pic of the spread with the matching Dolce clutch and Brian Atwood black pumps. Nicki said about idolizing Marilyn Monroe: "I've always adored Marilyn Monroe--mostly for her facial expressions in her pictures." In one of our fave shots, since we like Nicki when she's not doing the most, she's rocking an orange and blue 3/4 sleeve sweatshirt dress with a side cut-out by Jeremy Scott. Obviously she loves her some color--she donned a head to toe red look in a Vionnet coat, Louboutin peep toes, Falke tights, and topped off with Tom Ford shades. Newlyweds Monica and Shannon Brown helped dish out some yummy grub from The Cheesecake Factory. Rick Fox also served food with his girlfriend, actress Eliza Dushku. The Browns also passed out chocolate cheesecake to patrons. That cake looks delicious! Then Monica posed with a few little fans. It's great to see fab celeb couples and celebs take the time to give back together.

Look at that precious cargo! Egypt looked like he enjoyed his day out with mom and is clearly keeping up his adorable looks. 30-year-old Alicia, who is covering the new issue of GLAMOUR mag, revealed during her interview about how and why she fell in love with hubby of 1 year Swizz Beatz.
And about her baby boy, she gushed:
I wonder what type of 1-year-birthday party Mr. & Mrs. Beatz are planning for little Egypt. I know it's going to be a biggie....

| POST-PRISON PICS: T.I. Hits The Halfway House With Entourage Posted: 01 Sep 2011 06:14 AM PDT T.I.'s first photos post-slammer show that he doesn't look much different from when he went in 11 months ago. Mr. Harris was spotted leaving prison and entering into a halfway house (the usual protocol for released inmates) with his entourage in tow.
We've got the pics, plus news on his book deal, inside.... In addition to his new reality show the VH1 cameras are gearing up for, T.I.'s also got a book deal. The AP reports: T.I. has also finalized a book deal. A representative from HarperCollins told The Associated Press that T.I. has written a book called "Power & Beauty" that's set to be released in October. The novel, which was co-written with David Ritz, is a fictional tale about two childhood friends torn apart by dangerous dealings on the streets of Atlanta. Well isn't that special. He arrived to the Atlanta halfway house, where he will remain anywhere for a few days to a few weeks, wearing a blue and red striped polo shirt and white shorts. T.I. was sent to an Arkansas prison 11 months ago on a 1 year sentence after violating probation when he and wife Tiny were arrested for having narcotics in their car. “People play it safe,” he says. “I’m like, ‘F— the rules.’” Yeah, we noticed. But despite how we feel about his personal life choices, we can't help but admire how he's gone from 0 to 100 over the years. Meanwhile, her sister Serena is doing well in her matches, recently beating Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia, 6-1, 6-1, in 56 minutes. Two years ago, Serena had a profane outburst at the U.S. Open after a linewwoman called her for a foot fault. The NY Times asked her about the incident and she replied,
Well now that Venus has been sidelined, Serena must carry the torch. Let's just hope no one pisses her off this year.

But in her new photoshoot, the 30-year-old mother of 1 is donning her sexiest lingerie, boots, and swimsuits to push her new products. And she's looking hot.
Peep the pics inside... Royce, who is currently working on her own workout DVD, revealed that she has her own calendar, as well as her own energy drink, hitting the market soon. And in this new shoot for those products, the self-proclaimed athlete is showing off what her hard work at the gym buys her. Maybe she could even pull double duty and have them featured in a mag like KING a well. This is also the car she bought herself for her birthday last year. About the shoot Royce tweeted: TEASER PICS! | AND SHE'S OUTTA THERE! Stacey Dash LEAVES "Single Ladies"! Posted: 31 Aug 2011 02:08 PM PDT Where there's smoke, there's fire. "Single Ladies" lead actress Stacey Dash just confirmed she has indeed decided to leave the hit show. And the fact she doesn't give an exact reason as to why, makes us believe the catfight (with co-star LisaRaye McCoy) rumors and diva antics rumors even more.
Read on for the deets.... The middle aged hot black actresses of Hollywood better polish up those resumes. Because a position just opened on the set of VH1's hit scripted series "Single Ladies." They kick off Season Two in just a few weeks, and apparently, Stacey Dash will NOT be showing up to work. She tells Global Grind she "decided to leave" the show. In a statement put out today, the 45-year-old actress commented her reason to leave has something to do with needing to be with her children:
I guess shooting in Atlanta just isn't cutting it for Stacey. Or is there more to the story? We broke the story back in May when the drama FIRST started on set that Stacey and LisaRaye were beefing during filming, mainly because of Stacey's diva antics. Fights and arguments and name calling ensued. But when asked about their drama--both of them sheepishly denied it. Fast forward to last month when rumors hit the net that Stacey was fired. And VH1 put out a statement saying it wasn't true. At least not yet. Now today, VH1's statement is as follows:
Sounds like they indeed fired her diva (but hot) ass and let her save face by saying it was her decision to leave. Y'all know how the Hollywood like to protect their necks at all costs. But you're just going to leave a hit show with good money out of the blue? If you say so.... So what does this mean for the show? Will Val be recast? Will the character be dropped completely? "And right before our yearbook pictures? What are we gonna tell our grandkids Murray?" Time will tell...  |

Comedian Kevin Hart, who'll be starrng in the film adaptation of Steve Harvey's advice book Think Like A Man, broke Eddie Murphy's box-office record when his comedy tour stopped through L.A recently. When his 90-city comedy tour dubbed, "Laugh At My Pain" rolled through L.A.'s Nokia Theater, he became the first African-American comedian to net over $1.1 million for two-day ticket sales....bumping Eddie Murphy from the top slot. He discussed his feat with Black Voices saying,

And coming to TV ths fall.......
Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith will be bring their popular characters from the Tyler Perry film Why Did I Get Married? to the small screen this fall via TBS. Debuting on November 23, Michael and Tasha play Marcus and Angela, a married couple with a "few" problems. The show itself is shot to look like a movie and blends both drama and comedy (and of course a slice of Jesus). Other actors in the series are Cocoa Brian, Brad James, Jason Olive and KiKi Haynes. Tyler Perry both the writing and directing the show.

Now that rapper T.I. is free again, having been sent to a community facility following his early release today, he's ready to get back into the reality of it all. Find out about his upcoming reality show inside...
"The King Of The South" has returned to rule Atlanta. And this time, he's bringing a camera crew along to document his journey. Surprise surprise. VH1 just announced that they are producing 10-half hour episodes of a new show about T.I. re-adjusting to life as a free man as he is reunited with his wife and kids, returns to the music studio and tries to stay on the right path. The series will explore subjects like fatherhood, probation, career rebuilding and lessons learned. Fans will also learn more about Tiny (T.I.'s wife) as the series will also focus on her and the OMG GIRLZ (how convenient), the new girl group that she manages and that involves her daughter Zonnique. The "untitled" series will debut on Dec. 5 at 10pm, and has the stamp of approval from top VH1 execs.

| Mel B.: I Want My Baby Out Now! Posted: 31 Aug 2011 11:11 AM PDT Mel B., like most mothers who are 9 months pregnant, is more than ready to meet her new baby. The cute mother-to-be dished on the tactics she's taking to make her labor go ahead and start this week, since it seems to be stalling.

Mel B., who was spotted with her daughters Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris in Beverly Hills yesterday, is ready for her belly to pop! The 36-year-old "The Australian X Factor" judge said on Today FM yesterday:
She's reportedly been trying various activities to induce labour, including exercise, eating various foods and, of course, sex. Do what you gotta do girl. You still look good though! By the way, Mel and her hubby Stephen do not know the sex of the baby and are waiting till delivery day. Cute!
