SPOTTED: Rihanna Still On Holiday In Capri + Ciara Out And About In L.A.

Rihanna continued her holiday journey through Italy with a stop in Capri recently. See the pics inside and also see Ciara out and about in L.A.

Rihanna was spotted out with her girlfriends in southern Italy on the island of Capri yesterday.  She was dressed down in white shorts, denim shirt, and her gold Chanel necklace and drool-worthy yellow Chanel bag:

Rih Rih and her pals have been enjoying their luxurious holiday which has been full of yachts, champagne and snorkeling.

And of course they did some shopping.

Later in the afternoon, they traveled to Vetri Sul Mare, a city in Amalfitana coast for ice cream and autograph signings.

 

And out in Burbank.......

Ciara and her gams were spotted stepping out of her SUV in front of a friend's house.

Thatta girl...Always cover the miss miss.

After visiting her friend, Ciara was spotted at Lil' Wayne's album release party.  Her bod makes retty much anything look hot.

LaLa Kicks Off VIBE VIXEN's Premiere Issue, Talks LGBT Issues

Vibe Vixen magazine is back.  And they're going the digital route this time around.  The female-driven magazine under the VIBE brand that folded 4 years ago has brought back their look and their brand. 

 

Check out LaLa Anthony covering the premiere digital issue and speaking on her cousin Dice's LGBT issues she's going through this season on "LaLa's Full Court Life"...

La looked fab rocking a black strapless dress and long waves for the cover.  She discussed the big personal issue surroundign her cousin Dice that we'll see on this season of her show, plus what fellow YBF chick Meagan Good taught her:

On the topic of LGBT sexuality that arises:
My cousin Dice is a big part of my reality show and what’s important to me about Dice besides, obviously, that being my cousin and one of my best friends, is Dice is dealing with sexuality issues and different things like that. I think it’s important to see things like that on television because you have a lot of people struggling with who they are and trying to find themselves and worrying about if people aren’t going to accept them, and it’s good that we touch on these issues on the show. I think that can help a lot of people.

On what she learned from Megan Good during Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man:
What I’ve learned just from watching Megan Good is that acting should be effortless. I watch her and she makes it seem so effortless and so easy that it makes my job easier because I’m feeding off of her energy.

The cast for season 13 of the hit ABC reality dance competition "DWTS" has been announced and it includes NBA baller Ron Artest and "All My Children" actor J.R. Martinez. Get the deets on who their celeb competition is inside.......

And he will be joined by "All My Children" actor J.R. Martinez, who's also an army vet who had 40% of his body burned while fighting in Iraq.  He tweeted:

Last night, the 21st NAACP Theatre Awards were held in L.A. at the Directors Guild Of America with Raven Symone among the attendees.

Jurnee Smollett wore a gorgeous fitted gown.

Former actor and "DWTS" contestant Romeo Miller was there. 

Jill Marie Jones looked fabulous in her purple dress.

Brian White showed off his new shoes.

 

Brandon T. Jackson walked the red carpet. 

The legendary Billy Dee Williams was there.

He later posed with Obba Babatunde.

Tionne Williams was there.

Quinton Aaron was there too.

Niecy Nash dazzled in her gown.

Keith Robinson looked dapper.

Gloria Govan Dishes On The Premiere Episode Of "Basketball Wives: L.A."

"Basketball Wives: L.A." kicked off last night with a bang.  Or a punch.  So Gloria Govan, who serves as the "Shaunie O'Neal" of the show, called into Power 105's  The Breakfast Club this morning to discuss some ish.

 

Deets inside...

Charlamagne and DJ Envy had some questions for Ms. Govan--mainly on why all the cast (like the seemingly eyebrowless Tonya Williams and Kimsha Artest) looked so hard on the eyes (so wrong) and why they acted so "ghetto" and broke. And Angela Yee had some questions about the drama. So cast member Gloria called in to shed some light on the situation.  Kinda.

Here's the highlights of what she had to say:

How did Draya end up on the show--we don't know of her being linked to a baller

It's going to blow your mind how she's involved and what she's involved with. (Doubt that). 

On if the ladies actually have money

Gloria said she doesn't even mess with Kimsha or talk mess about her because she doesn't want to get into it with her--no headlocks.  But the ladies do what they can.

On Laura's alleged affair with Shaq

No she didn't sleep with Shaq. (yeah, ok)  You'll see what happens on the show with that.

On the fighting on the first episode

Gloria said she didn't want fighting at all for the L.A. cast as she didn't want to be like the Miami cast.  But her sister was one of the first to fight on last night's episode.  Laura had a lot going on at the time--with explaining why there was no wedding happening, why Gilbert left, etc.  So we'll get to see on the show how she works things out in a classy way as well. (yeah, ok)

Last night, the 2011 MTV VMAs was full of surprises and exciting moments.  And we've got the pics and video you didn't see from backstage and on the red carpet of the show.  TheYBF.com hit the red carpet as well for The House of Hype's afterparty.  See pics and on-the-scene vid inside....

Here's another angle of Nicki Minaj's outfit from the press room after her win.  And we still don't understand this 'fit.  Looks like she had a ball at FAO Schwartz though while rocking a velcro bodysuit.  Are those stuffed animal slippers?

And Tyler The Creator walked away with "Best New Artist" and got even more silly backstage with his Odd Future homies.
 

He and the rest of Odd Future celebrated the win.  It's just so many people in that damn group....

 

Earlier in the evening, TheYBF.com hit the VMAs black carpet.......

 

JoJo talked to us about her remake of Drake's "Marvin's Room" that was all a-buzz on Twitter and her new album which will be in stores soon.  Flo Rida talked about representing Miami and working with Rick Ross and Pitbull and how happy he was to be at the awards. And his date was Miss Poland (aka the Miss Universe pageant)!

Kat Deluna revealed that she wore very little makeup with her Jose Juran dress so she could show off her freckles while Deena from the "Jersey Shore" told us that she was excited to see Lil' Wayne. We also ran into Snooki and the Cali Swag District.  Meanwhile, Rick Ross gave his predictions for "Best New Artist."  Check it above.

 

Then TheYBF.com covered the House Of Hype's after party....

Former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton talked about her upcoming musical project and said that she predicted Beyonce's announcement!

Beyonce & Her Preggers Announcement Set New Twitter & MTV Record

Beyonce & Jay-Z's unborn baby is already making history.  It's only fitting right?  Thanks to Bey's pregnancy announcement at the MTV VMA's Sunday night, Twitter was set on fire like never before, and MTV raked in history making numbers in their network's history.

 

Deets inside...

It took Baby Carter's mom and dad some years to start making history.  It only took this one a few (about 4) months.  In addition to all the hot performers adding to the numbers, once Beyonce held her belly on the MTV red carpet, then dropped the mic and showed her protruding baby bump, ish got crazy.

Reportedly, when Bey made her big reveal, Tweets were sent out via the social networking site at 8,868 tweets per second.  This beat the previous record of a little over 7K tweets per second when Japan beat the U.S. Women's soccer team this past summer.

And that's not the only record breaking moment.  MTV reports that they had their biggest audience in the network's history with a record-breaking 12.4 million total viewers.  8.5 million of those viewers were ages 12-34.

In addition, the VMAs is the #1 cable telecast of 2011 with 12-34 demo and the #1 non-sports cable telecast of 2011 with total viewers.

And MTV digital saw their largest mobile, twitter, and other social networking numbers in their history.

Solange Explains The Police Discrimination Against Her That Led To Weapons+Mike Vick Earns A $100 Mill Eagles Contract!

A couple of days ago, Solange Knowles went off via twitter about a run-in she had just had with Miami PD.  She claimed they were committing discrimination and even pulled out a weapon on her.

 

Now she's revealed the deets as to what really went down.  Plus we've got the serious dollars Michael Vick just signed on the dotted line for, inside....

We posted Solange's tweets about the Miami PD who she says was unnecessarily aggressive with her "for no reason."  And even pulled a weapon on her.  Apparently the Miami PD mistreated Solange and her friends, lied in their reports, and Solo wants to give her side of the story. So she spoke to E! News about what really went down the other night:

"Never once during the incident did I even raise my voice," Knowles tells us. "I feel very strongly about standing up for myself when something is wrong, and am very disappointed in the way that the Miami [Beach] Police Department has handled this case."

She says that Knowles and two friends went to a club, where she somehow obtained a large balloon that they planned to give to a pal's kid the next day.

They cabbed it to another night spot, where the bouncer informed them that they couldn't take the balloon inside.

"They decided to go across the street to deflate the balloon, where they encountered two police officers who had casual, light-hearted conversation with them," Knowles' rep states. "One officer pulled out a switchblade and threatened to pop the balloon. They felt it was inappropriate, but the turning point happened when he then took out the switchblade a second time with the blade open and said to them, 'I don't find the humor in this, anymore.' The blade was less than a couple feet away from Solange and her friends."

The officer proceeded to "forcefully" ask them to move, gesturing that they cross the street though there was oncoming traffic, the rep continues.

"Solange then asked the officer what was it that they did wrong, and he forcefully responded again to move," she told E! News. "When a taxi pulled up, they got in and headed home. Solange made a series of calls to report the incident and was told to be prepared to be arrested when she came in to report the incident if her story was false. Solange simply wanted to report that the officer pulled out a weapon, when she had done nothing illegal, disruptive or belligerent."

Um, what?  Why do I feel like major chunks are missing from this story?  Anyway, Solo's rep says she's actvely filing charges on the cops.  And what's the cops' side of the story?

The MBPD previously said that a 5-foot-banana-toting Knowles was the one who became unruly with two off-duty police officers, who then guided her across the street to calm her down. They say that she had been loudly complaining that she was turned away from the nightclub for racial reasons.

"The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club," Officer Juan Sanchez told E! News. "And when she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun. Considering it might be an internal investigation, I can't tell you much other than that."

*eyebrows raised*

 

Moving on, talk about a may-jah comeback!  31-year-old Philadelphia Eagle Michael Vick, who just a few years ago could barely even get a team to add him as a third string QB, just signed a 6-year $100 million contract with the Eagles, with $40 million of it guaranteed. 

He filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and signed a one year deal with the Eagles in 2009.  He moved into the starting position as QB last season and proved to the world he was supposed to be there.

Whoever negotiated that deal is GENIUS because NFLers rarely, if ever, get this kind of cash.   Especially not guaranteed.  He's now one of the game's highest paid players.  And as well as he played last year, he def deserves it. 

A lot of people can take notes from his comeback.  Stay quiet, stay humble, and let your talents speak for themselves.  CONGRATS VICK!

 

 

LaLa's Got A Billboard In Times Square...And She Wants To Make Sure You See It

Rihanna Gets WAXED In Berlin

Rihanna has been commemorated in wax again.  This time for the Madame Tussaud's in Berlin, Germany.  Check out the unveiling of her new statue--something that could be straight out of her "S&M" video--inside...

 

This is one of the most life-like wax figures of Rih's I've seen.  Scary almost:

The colorful wax figure donned an outfit that could fit right into Rihana's "S&M" video.  Even has the tatts in their appropriate places.  Nice.

Wiz Khalifa Making Music With Amber Rose!? + Nicki Minaj Pulls Double Duty At Taylor Swift's Concert

At the MTV VMAs, Wiz Khalifa discussed making music with Amber Rose and the couple's upcoming vacaton.  Watch the interview inside and see Nicki Minaj do a surprise performance of "Superbass"  at Taylor Swift's concert right after the VMAs. 

While on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV VMAs, Wiz Khalifa talked about his music and revealed that he "might" be in the studio soon to work on a project...with girlfriend Amber Rose.  Lord help us all.

Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union Host Wade's World Weekend + Lauryn Hill, Nas & Common Rock The Bells In Calfornia

Over the weekend, Dwyane Wade hosted the 4th Annual Wade's World Weekend in Chicago. His parents and Gabrielle Union all supported the series of events.  See the pics inside and see Lauryn Hill, Nas and Common rocking the bell.

 

Dwyane Wade & his girl Gabby Union were in Chicago over the weekend raising money for his Wade World Foundation. 

On Friday night, he hosted The Carnival Cruise Lines Benefit Dinner for his foundaton at The Trump Hotel in Chicago.

He posed with his mom Jolinda Wade.

His dad Dwyane Wade Sr. spoke at the event.

And his sister Tragil Wade helped him present awards.

And on Saturday.....


 

Dwyane hosted a Chicago Has Talent Showcase and a Youth Summit at the Chicago Theatre as part of his weekend.

Gabrielle was by his side like the doting girlfriend during the summit and she also spoke to the kids.

David Banner also spoke on the panel.

The kids also heard from actor Lance Gross.

Later that day, Rocsi hosted the talent showcase.

And D. Wade hit the dougie.

Great events for a great cause.

 

And last night in California.....

Lauryn Hill, Nas and Common took the stage for the 2011 Rock The Bells Music Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.

Lauryn Hill looked beautiful on stage.  Maybe we are finally going to get that long awaited sophomore effort.

Nasty Nas entertained the crowd. 

Talib Kweli and Mos Def performed together and later posed with DJ Premiere backstage.

Cypress Hill performed. 

 

Common also commanded the stage.  Is this beard for a role...or a reason?  Not really feelin' it...
