And guess who did the confirming - Katie Couric of all people. Say what?!?! Couric was in an interview with Jennifer Lopez when she asked her what she thought of the new judges. Lopez didn't know they had officially announced anything, yet. So Couric filled her in. And according to her the three judges will be, drumroll please.... Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson!!! We remind you that FOX has NOT announced this officially, but this info is only directly from Couric's sweet loose lips. Here's how their original exchange went down after Lopez asked Couric about judges were:
Lopez subsequently said "Oh, thank god. I love Randy!" We have a feeling that this IS the official lineup even though it isn't confirmed, and damn we're feeling quite frisky from all of the hot names on the list. Has Idol reclaimed its throne??? Posted: 13 Sep 2012 11:40 AM PDT We knew she could dance like a Superfreak after watching her in Little Miss Sunshine, but we had no idea Abigail Breslin had vocals to match her exquisite moves! The teenage actress has apparently been exploring a music career over the past few years, and even starred in indie film Janie Jones in which she sings and plays guitar. But NOW the oscar-nominated 16-year-old is lending her voice to aspiring singer/songwriter Teddy Watson's new project, a band called Stargroves, and her sweet, light vocals are featured on Stargroves' catchy, twangy alt-pop tune Westfjords (above)! Very modern Postal Service infused with a slice of Taylor Swift-esque guitar riffs... we are LOVING the complimenting tones of both Teddy and Abigail's voices. Impressive first effort, you hot young thangs! While we hope Abigail continues charming us via the big screen, we wanna hear MORE of Stargroves ft. her delicate sound! |
| X Factor Premiere LOSES Ratings Race To The Voice Posted: 13 Sep 2012 11:22 AM PDT Despite a panel of popular judges and a painfully awkward audition from Don Philip, X Factor just couldn't beat out the The Voice, America's Got Talent or its own first season premiere in ratings! The second season of Simon Cowell's UK import debuted with 3.5 million viewers LESS than it did last year! Only an average of 8.5 million viewers tuned in to watch this year, while NBC's The Voice attracted 10.7 million viewers at 8 p.m. and AGT got 11 million during the 9 o'clock hour. No wonder Simon was P-I-S-S-E-D when he found out NBC was pitting their own singing competition up against his -- he must have seen this coming! We sure has hell didn't! Though, in terms of the Adults 18-49 demo, XF and The Voice TIED at number one, which gives them both something to celebrate regardless!
