Over the weekend, Taraji P. Henson revealed to TheYBF.com that she is indeed a single lady (despite those rumors of her heating things up off-screen with good friend Tyrese), but she doesn't want to be for long. Plus we found out the Best Man 2 movie will be here quicker than we thought!
Excusive deets straight from the Black Girls Rock! red carpet.... DJ Beverly Bond and the city of New York played host to the 2011 Black Girls Rock! Awards where TheYBF.com hit the red carpet to kick it with some of your favorite celebs. We caught up with director Malcolm Lee who revealed that the script for Best Man 2, which just received a home at Universal Pictures, is already completed. "Fans of the movie will definitely have their expectations met," Malcolm revealed. And you can expect to see the sequel to the original come not too long after the end of next year--as that's when filming should wrap. Nice! 41-year-old actress Taraji P. Henson revealed there's no nookie nookie going on with her Think Like A Man co-star Michael Ealy (even though their on-screen chemistry is crazy we hear). And none with Tyrese either. The giggling hopeless romantic revealed she's single and waiting on true love. She described to us who her perfect soulmate would be:
And if you know anyone who might be interested....mom of 1 Taraji says he has to be able to handle her busy life. See what went down on the red carpet here with Taraji, Malcolm, Tamar Braxton (who revealed black women are so confident because we put in so much work into being fabulous), LaLa Anthony and Tichina Arnold. : Video by Kourtney Richard/Ashley Ennis |

It took 2 seizures and a concert cancellation to make it there, but Ricky Rozay finally made it to Memphis to open his franchised WingStop. We've got the twitpic inside of a post-recovery Ricky downing his Big Gulp, plus Jordin Sparks belting out "At Last" while at dinner with her castmates inside....
DJ Khaled and Gucci Pucci went down to Memphis, Tenn to kick it with Ricky. And they all snapped a pic in front of Rick's newest business--Wingstop. Khaled tweeted: My brother ROZAY!! IS GOOD!!! Ricky also pulled out of the North Carolina A&T homecoming concert he was slated to perform in on Saturday night. Rick Ross' Delta flight to Memphis from Miami Friday afternoon was grounded after he lost consciousness and had a seizure. Then after a posting a video saying he was fie, and hopping on a private jet, he had another seizure mid-air and had to be grounded in Alabama. No official word on his health other than what Khaled has said.
And over in Detroit, Jordin Sparks went to dinner at Cliff Belles with her Sparkle castmates Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo over the weekend. Their other castmates--including Whitney Houston, Derek Luke, Omari Hardwick, producers Curtis Wallace and Debra Martin Chase and their director Salim Akil--were there as well. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inside The Celeb Arrivals & Taping! Posted: 16 Oct 2011 10:11 AM PDT Gotta love anything that shows major love to the YBF chicks! Last night celebs turned out for the Black Girls Rock! Awards taping at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, NY. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the Awards show brought out the fabulous women we love to see in Hollywood. And brought to light all the talented and philanthropic reasons why the women who were honored indeed ROCK.
Pics inside of the fab honorees and supporters and deets from the show... Founded by celebrity DJ and Philanthropist, Beverly Bond, BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™ is dedicated to promoting positive images of women of color in mass media. The fabulous and supportive occasion started many years ago, but this is only the second year it will be televised on BET. On stage, host Tracee Ellis Ross went full out sequins with gold blouse and matching cropped skinny pants. Of course, she can pull it off though. But beforehand on the red carpet, she kept it simple in an all-white long gown: And fellow host Regina King rocked her red look: Nice.
LaLa, who was there to introduce honoree Taraji P. Henson, also kept it white on the red carpet in this interesting two-sided long lace gown with a solid back and slit.
And she kicked it with Mary Mary who looked cute on the carpet themselves. Melanie Fiona rocked a multicolored skirt and matching belted top for the occasion. And rocked out on stage looking amazing in hot black shorts and a long blouse over it. Loving this look! Model Alek Wek was there to introduce honorees from The Rebecca Project for Human Rights, co-founders Imani Walker and Malika Saada Saa. Mary J. Blige performed and rocked her tuxedo blazer and black pants look. She's really getting back to vintage Mary days I see.
Very pregnant Egypt and her hubby hit the carpet. Honoree Tatyana Ali looked gorgeous in a multi-colored sparkling dress as she posed with BET head honcho Debra Lee. Oh, hey Lil Mama. Dancing queen Laurie Ann Gibson hit the carpet and came out to support. Honoree Taraji P. Henson looked hot in her black, grey, and white snakeskin dress. She paired it with red heels and her snakeskin clutch. Good friends Tichina Arnold and Taraji P. Henson kicked it in the audience.
Newcomer Elle Varner hit the stage to perform. But since this is one of her first live shows, she had a mishap and fell flat out on stage during the performance. So her set had to be re-taped. BET Exec. Stephen Hill was there in his pink sneakers.
Jilly rocked her curls and an all black look for the the occasion before hitting the stage to perform "Hate On Me" and some spoken word. OK Jeanette Jenkins! The fitness trainer worked her killer bod in a mini silver sparkling dress for the red carpet. Yes, her side profile looks real suspect in the belly area. But we didn't spot a preggers belly when we chatted her up on the carpet. Estelle hit the stage to perform "Thank You" in a black sequins floor length evening gown. But before taking the stage she rocked a burnt orange pleated bodice evening gown which was perfect for fall. Cheryl "Salt" James was there looking fab. Black Girls Rock! creator DJ Beverly Bond chilled in the audience with her hubby. And hit the carpet looking fab in a black jacquard dress. Erykah Badu hit the stage in an outfit only she would rock. She opened with "Appletree" with her appropriately fitting all-female band: Love her! And Taraji & Erykah kicked it with the legendary Angela Davis, who was also an honoree. Laurel J. Richie and Shirley Ceaser were also honorees. The show airs November 6th on BET at 8pm. Stay tuned for our exclusive red carpet coverage from Black Girls Rock!
