Last night, retired NFL star Shawne Merriman was rushed to the hospital for an alleged overdose; but, was spotted out partying with The Game a mere three hours later! Get the deets on the unknown "medical emergency" inside and find out what terms Kobe Bryant and his mom reached over his memorabilia.... We're not sure what's going on with retired NFL baller and PETA-sex symbol Shawne Merriman, but the LA Times reported that he'd been rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around 9:30 p.mCT last night, with what was described as a "medical emergency." Following an initial report about an "unspecified" medical emergency, LA Times reporter Andrew Blankstein later tweeted that Shawne was taken to the hospital for after he "...overdosed, ingested unspecified combo of alcohol-drug.” Following the tweet, things got a little "suspicious." Though Shawn's hospitalization was CONFIRMED by medical authorities to NFL.com, Shawne must have QUICKLY gotten over his ailment because TMZ spotted him OUT at Greystone (partying with The Game) just a few hours after his alleged medical condition. Shawne, who retired from the NFL in March, didn't saying anything about his "hospitalization" but he did mention that he ruined his "Lights Out Brand" shirt. By the way, Lights Out is the apparel company that he's founded and he spent most of the time of his Twitter timeline touting the brand....not the "overdose".
Talk about a recovery...... TMZ shot video of Shawne Merriman just THREE hours after law enforcement confirmed that had INDEED been hospitalized for a "medical emergency". What a comeback! Maybe this man of steel shouldn't have retired.
In other sports news.....
You'll recall that Kobe Bryant and his mom Pamela were fighting over Pamela's decision to sell off some of his old memorabilia a few weeks ago. Now...the issue has been resolved. According to ESPN, Pamela (along with Joe) will issue a letter of apology to Kobe, and in return, he's letting them sell off about 10% of the items. We're glad they worked that out....sorta. We wonder if Pam will still walk away with enough money to upgrade to a bigger mansion?

Diddy and Cassie had a cutesy dinner date this weekend....with Janice Combs in tow. And we all know Diddy only brings baby mamas and serious girlfriends around Mama Combs.

Diddy was back to wining and dining his artist/girlfriend Cassie, who looked cute & colorful as usual, Saturday night as they had dinner at Mr. Chow in Miami. And the twosome ran into Big Ang and Jennifer Graziano (Executive Producer and co-star Renee's sister) of VH-1's "Mob Wives":
And we can only guess THE OTHER WOMAN is Big Ang's sister...strictly off looks.
We bet Diddy's watches that show on DVR just like us. We can just feel it...

The 67th Annual Tony Awards were held in New York City last night and several Black actors (Cicely Tyson, Billy Porter, Patina Miller, Courtney B. Vance) walked away with Tony Awards. See red carpet pics and watch Neil Patrick Harris' controversial use of the "N-word" with Mike Tyson inside...
Last night, the 67th Annual Tony Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City with four African American actors walking away with Broadway's top honors during the three-hour CBS show.
Veteran actress Cicely Tyson proudly walked the red carpet in a gorgeous b. Michael gown to celebrate her triumphant return to Broadway after a 30-year absence. Ms. Tyson walked away with the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for 'The Trip to Bountiful'. And it's her first Tony ever.
After the ceremony, Cicely posed with actor Courtney B. Vance who also walked away with a "Tony" during the telecast for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in 'Lucky Guy'.
Courtney was congratulated by his wfe, Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett who's also had some fab roles on Broadway.
Angela, who wore a strapless amethyst chiffon gown with a silver sequin and crushed pearl bodice from THEIA's Fall 2012 Collection, just wrapped up filming Black Nativity with Forest Whitaker, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson.
Newly engaged actress Patina Miller (who also starred in Sister Act on Broadway) walked away with the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for 'Pippin'. Patina successfully reprised the role of "Leading Player" which was originated on Broadway by Ben Vereen. Nice!
Musical powerhouse Billy Porter won for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for 'Kinky Boots'. The hit show, which walked away with a total of six awards, featured original music written by Cyndi Lauper.
New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler and wife Kimberly proudly walked the red carpet together. The powerhouse duo were named producers of 'The Trip to Bountiful'.
Academy Award winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr., who co-starred in 'The Trip to Bountiful', was there to cheer on his castmates. "The Trip To Bountiful" star (and all around fab chick) Condola Rashad posed with her father, tv journalist Ahmad Rashad. After her successful run in "Bountiful", Condola was reportedly cast as Juliet in the new Broadway production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Meanwhile, we told you previously that Mr. Rashad is going through a nasty split with his wife, the "very rich" Sale Johnson.
And former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who starred in his own successful one-man show on Broadway, walked the red carpet with his wife Lakiha Spicer.
BONUS:
Despite the historic wins by several African Americans, the 2013 Tonys were not without a little racial controversy. During his big opening number, which featured a cameo by former heavyweight champ/Broadway star Mike Tyson, Neil Patrick Harris used the "n-word" at (3:27). And you can tell from Mike's facial expression, he wasn't aware of the lyric...but he carried on with the show. The song got us thinking, since it was in the "context" of a performance piece and clearly written into the song by the writers, should Neil and the writers get a "pass" for using the "n-word"?

Leave it to Rih Rih to take the fashion world by storm while chillin' in Paris in between her Diamonds World Tour shows. After parlaying with designer Azzedine Alaia himself, she headed over to Balmain. Since she's rocking plenty of Balmian fashion for her tour wardrobe, she just gave fans a peek into what went down when she visited the fashion house's offices. And the looks she modeled are drool worthy. About this sparkling yellow mini skirt and jacket, "fashion heaux" (as she called herself) Rih said:

Meanwhile, Rihanna became only the third black performer to rock the Stade de France yesterday. And the 25-year-old also made history as the youngest person to ever do so. She said about the sold out status of the biggest stadium in France:

This American University-bound 18-year-old (in the middle) has two good looking musical parents, and one is still very much in the biz. She and he three siblings celebrated graduation day on Sunday from a highschool in Maryland. Her celeb parents are....

Ginuwine & Sole! Gorgeous teen Cypress Soleil Lee, one of the older kids of the musical couple, dressed up in all white for graduation day yesterday Calverton High School, a private school in Huntingtown, MD. And the fab chick was part of the National Honors Society & The International Thespian Society. So her proud mom and dad were Instagramming away about their baby. The couples' other three kids, Story, Dream & Dejan were also all there to support. And even though Cypress (as well as Dejan) is Sole's daughter from a previous relationship, the cutie recently gushed about how much she loved her stepfather Ginuwine, whom she simply calls her daddy:

Plus, pics of Azealia Banks, Nas & Kendrick Lamar tearing down the Governor's Ball stage... Drizzy, Weezy & Ricky wanted to bring it back tot he 90's Cash Money days for the "No New Friends" video. It explains why Drake was dressed 90's style on the set of the video, which also lead to hilarious memes of Drake from the set going viral.
