Kerry Washington made a rare appearance makeup free and extra laid back as she was spotted leaving he NYC hotel Friday afternoon. Pics of our fave "Scandal" chick inside... After coming back to her hometown of New York City to give the commencement speech at The Nightingale-Bamford School for girls on the Upper East Side, Kerry was headed out to get glammed up for another big occasion yesterday. First, she tweeted, "I had the privilege of giving today's commencement address at #Nightingale [sic] such an honor! CONGRATS LADIES." Then the do-gooder was spotted heading out Friday night host an evening of charity at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in Bronx, in the neighborhood she was born and raised.
Everyone can't be Olivia Pope fabulous every single day.
But Kerry's always a YBF chick in our book for not being scared to keep it real and constantly give back to higher causes than herself. Werk!

Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter and her singing group Nae & Lo have released a tribute single in honor of Father's Day called "Daddy's Little Girl." Listen to the song inside... Reginae Carter, the youngin' of rapper Lil' Wayne, has released a new single with her group Nae & Lo called "Daddy's Little Girl". On the single, Reginae is joined by her BFF Lourdes “Lolo” Rodriguez. Reginae, who recently penned the novel Paparazzi Princesses with Bria Williams, the daughter of Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams, released the song earlier today as a tribute to Father's Day. But after watching Weezy forget the name of Reginae's book during his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier this week, we just hope he'll remember the name of the song. Eddie Murphy's latest girlfriend got the "Murphy" stamp of approval as she soaked up the sun with his daughters Shayne and Bria Murphy in Maui. At the same exact location he brought Rocsi Diaz last year. See the ladies bonding inside...
Austrailian-born model Paige Butcher, the 33-year-old blonde girlfriend of funnyman Eddie Murphy, was spotted in Maui soaking up the sun with Eddie's stunning daughters Bria (above) and Shayne Murphy. After being spotted on the same balcony that Eddie & Rocsi were spotted on a while ago, the fam trekked it to the beach for some fun in the sun.
Paige joined the Murphy girls in the ocean where they swam and spent the day sunbathing.
Loving Bria's swimsuit! And she's kept her toned bod in tip top shape as the spokeswoman for Dark & Lovely by L'Oreal and her modeling gigs.
Looks like the girls' other sis is there as well.
Bria, who's hinted as higher aspirations in the modeling world, enjoyed a mojito after taking a dip in the ocean with friends. Very cute.

OWN has taken up the "Dark Girls" documentary to air on the network next Sunday. Check out the preview of the must-see tv premiere of the documentary that may finally change the conversation about the hardships of dark skinned women across the globe. The OWN network is gearing up to premiere Dark Girls. Here's the synopsis: Dark Girls is a fascinating and controversial documentary film that goes underneath the surface to explore the prejudices that dark-skinned women face throughout the world. It explores the roots of classism, racism and the lack of self-esteem within a segment of cultures that span from America to the most remote corners of the globe. Women share their personal stories, touching on deeply ingrained beliefs and attitudes of society, while allowing generations to heal as they learn to love themselves for who they are.
In the above preview, we see a little girl talking about how she doesn't like to be called "black" and how she gets treated differently by her friends and classmates. And then we see the heartbreak of her mother who has to witness her child feeling less-than. Heartbreaking, but a definite must-see as this is indeed a common scenario for many dark skinned women. The documentary airs Sunday, June 23rd on OWN. Will you be watching? |

A few behind the scenes photos of "The Voice" correspondent Christina Milian posing for ROLLING OUT magazine have been revealed. In the sneak peek photos, Christina shows off a mix of beachwear and evening attire. She tweeted, "#RollingOut cover shoot coming soon.."
In addition to her day gig, Christina, who recently bought her mother a Jaguar for Mother's Day, is working on her debut album for Cash Money.

Ciara covers the latest issue of FADER Magazine when she promotes the upcoming release of the Ciara disc. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Future is speaking out about her feud with Rihanna and if it's affecting the release of their "Loveeeeeee Song" single. Get the deets inside... "Body Party" singer Ciara covers the June/July Summer issue of FADER magazine where she touts her long-delayed album Ciara (July 9th). Inside, the singer, who was recently served with court documents during an LA Pride Event, opens up about her romance with rapper Future, who recently landed the cover of The Source.
While Ciara's feud with Rihanna has been well-documented, Future was asked by MTV News if it's had an impact on his relationship with the bad gyal, whom he worked with on "Loveeeeeee Song". He said, "We never shot a video, we never performed it. I don't know whether it was because of that situation or if just the time hasn't come up." Hmmm...considering the shade Riri throws at Ciara, we're pretty sure THAT "relationship" has been discussed by team Rihanna. And with quotables galore. The rapper also said he's cautious about talking about Ciara too much because he doesn't want their love to overshadow his music.
