Watch R. Kelly SING For Security To Remove Fighting Fan Posted: 06 Nov 2012 12:53 PM PST There's nothing like being personally serenaded by one of your favorite artists at a concert -- unless he's singing for security! LOLz! That's exactly what R. Kelly did this weekend when he spotted two female fans fighting next to the stage. He was performing at the Nokia Live Theater in Downtown El Lay on Saturday when the conflict erupted and it must have been pretty serious too. He stopped himself in the middle of the song (above) and kept perfect pitch tune while belting out, "SECURITY! SE-CUR-I-TY!" This truly is priceless. We almost want to track down the obnoxious fan that got the boot and hug her for sparking something that will go down in history as one of greatest R. Kelly moments ever.

No Doubt's Racially Offensive Video Inspires Letter From UCLA's American Indian Studies Center Posted: 06 Nov 2012 12:43 PM PST Amidst the still-brewing controversy of No Doubt's Looking Hot music video, the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA has posted an open letter to the reunited band. Commending them for immediately taking the video off of YouTube once they became aware of its offensive nature, the Center makes it very clear why the community is in fact so offended. Opening their argument with the obvious issues, the Center addresses the stereotypes depicted in the video and why it hurts the community, saying: "The music video demonstrates the height of cultural misappropriation and a complete indifference towards and ignorance about contemporary Indian people. The video at once employs Native imagery and symbols, many of which still hold deep spiritual and ceremonial significance for Native Americans while at the same time situating such imagery in a (largely inaccurate) set of depictions of Indians at the turn of the century as primitive peoples fighting cowboys (and losing) in the Wild West. In this sense, the video diminishes Native people and Native cultures while, simultaneously, co-opting Indians and indigeneity for exploitative gain. In essence, it represents the grossest kind of cultural misappropriation." But then they reveal the even deeper harm done, addressing the sexual crime issues their community faces. Making it a point to note Gwen Stefani's "writhing" as a stereotypically-dressed character during a scene of "white men" aggression, the Center elaborates further on the cultural wound inflicted, saying: "Most importantly, however, the video is rife with imagery that glorifies aggression against Indian people, and, most disturbingly, denigrates and objectifies Native women through scenes of sexualized violence. Much like the 19th century paintings advancing the ethos of manifest destiny – the belief that the United States was destined by God to expand across the continent, bringing civilization and light to a primitive people – the video draws on familiar tropes of the conquest of the continent and, concomitantly, the ravage of the Native female. As lead singer Gwen Stefani writhes, partially dressed (as an Indian) and shackled in ropes while overseen by domineering white men brandishing pistols, today real Native American women in the United States are in a state of crisis." The Center then explains how "one in three American Indian and Alaskan Native women will be raped in their lifetimes." They also address their suspicion in the band's apology. While they applaud most of it, they note: "While No Doubt's apology claimed to have consulted "Native American studies experts at the University of California," to our knowledge, no such person from UCLA was consulted about the video prior to its release." But they're also still very open to forgiveness, offering: "Nevertheless, in furtherance of our educational and collaborative mission, we extend to you an invitation to engage with the American Indian Studies Center and the Los Angeles Indian community, as we see this unfortunate incident as presenting an opportunity for growth and mutual understanding." We would love to see that. As we've said before, we applaud the band for taking full responsibility, but we understand that harm has still been done. So, that being said, we'd think it would do wonders if the band took this opportunity to spread awareness on the issue at hand through their platform. They can totally turn this thing around with the right tools if they wanted to. Instead of letting it be, they could use their fame to help fight the problems the community faces. And in that sense, maybe the end-result will become something ultimately greater had no video been posted at all. What do U think about that? Any ideas from your point of view? The Situation Is 'Really Trying' To Make Things Work With His Girlfriend Posted: 06 Nov 2012 12:22 PM PST MTV Shows He probably wasn't looking for it, but The Situation found love in a hopeless place at the Jersey Shore last summer. Since sobering up, the reality star has settled down with Paula Pickard, whom he met while filming the sixth and final season of Jersey Shore. In Thursday's episode, it looks like their connection is already showing signs of weakening because he confides in Deena's boyfriend, Chris, that he's getting a little tired of her behavior. This girl must be special though. While Mike would normally "pull the shoot immediately," he admits (above) that he's "really trying here." On November 15, he'll also be trying to raise enough money to rebuild Seaside Heights after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the coastal town. Along with the rest of the gang, The Situation will be appearing on MTV's Restore the Shore to ask viewers for donations.

She is just announcing all sorts of crazy shiz left and right these days! Kirstie Alley is busy promoting her new book, The Art Of Men, and apparently, using it as an excuse to re-live all of her past, very famous - and very MARRIED - love interests! And even though she only JUST revealed that if she had it her way, she would have run off with John Travolta, to whom she refers as the love of her life, during a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, she ALSO was head over heels for Patrick Swayze when the pair shot the miniseries North and South in 1985...and the two almost cheated on their respective spouses! She explains: "We did not have an affair. But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It's doubly bad. Barack Obama Writes Inspirational Letter To Bullied Young Girl With Two Dads! Posted: 06 Nov 2012 11:51 AM PST Awww!! This story is heartwarming enough to defrost a frozen turkey! Ten-year-old Sophia Bailey Klugh is an inspiration to us all! She's blessed to have two very loving fathers, but some of her classmates tease her about being raised in of a non-traditional family! Brave Sophia did what few 10 year-olds might think to do, she wrote a letter to her President, asking him for help. She said: "[Mr. President,] I am so glad that you agree two men can love each other because I have two dads and they love each other, but at school kids think that it's gross and weird, but it really hurts my heart and feelings.... If you were me and you had two dads that loved each other and kids at school teased you about it, what would you do? It's absolutely tragic that we live in a society where parents pass hateful thoughts down to their children. Thankfully, there are compassionate young girls like Sophia who find the courage to ask for help!! Admirably, President Barack Obama made the time to respond to the young girl's inquiry. Amidst an extremely busy schedule brought about by running both a country and a re-election campaign, the Prez wrote Sophia back and asked her to stay brave. He said: "Dear Sophia, Thank you for writing me such a thoughtful letter about your family. Reading it made me proud to be your president and even more hopeful about the future of our nation. In America, no two families look the same. We celebrate this diversity. And we recognize that whether you have two dads or one mom what matters above all is the love we show one another. You are very fortunate to have two parents who care deeply for you. They are lucky to have such an exceptional daughter in you." What an excellent response! Diversity should be cherished and families should be applauded for loving one another above all else. After seeing what a sweet, thoughtful young girl these two fathers raised, we wonder how anyone could believe same-sex couples are unfit for parenting! Lindsay Lohan Facing "Significant Jail Time" For Lying To Cops!! Posted: 06 Nov 2012 10:50 AM PST OH sh*t!! Lindsay Lohan really might get put in the slammer for REALZ!!! Earlier today, we heard that Santa Monica authorities are thisclose to filing charges against the controversial starlet concerning her car accident in June. The charges claim Lindsay LIED to police -- which is a misdemeanor crime -- when she said she was not driving the vehicle, when, in fact, multiple sources reveal she WAS. Now it seems, not only will the charges get filed, but the LA city attorney's office is hoping Linds will serve the MAX amount of jail time for violating her jewelry theft probation by telling untruths! Sources close to the attorney state: "Once Lindsay is formally charged with lying to cops, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office will ask for a formal probation violation hearing. At the conclusion of the probation hearing prosecutors will ask the judge to sentence Lindsay to significant time in jail, up to one year. Prosecutors and cops think there is more than enough evidence for the judge to find Lindsay in violation of probation and are hopeful that this time, she will face the maximum penalty for lying to cops. Remember, the burden is much lower for a probation violation, just the fact that Lindsay will be charged with a crime is enough for her probation to be revoked and sent to jail."
