Unfortunately, for NBA stars like Miami Heat baller Dwyane Wade, the NBA lockout has already led to cancellation of all November games and there seems to be no resolution in sight.  But he and girlfriend Gabby Union aren't letting it get them down.

The pair have been all over the Miami social scene where Dwyane Wade hosted the grand opening of the Hublot Bal Harbour Boutique at Club 50 at the Viceroy in Miami.

Gabby looked hot in a one-shouldered black mini-dress with white and black pumps.

And they also hit another event this week after recently returning from their trip to Sydney, Australia.

Gabby posed with SRC Records CEO Steve Rifkind on the red carpet.

DJ Khaled was also there.

Inside, Dwyane changed outifts and sat for an interview.  Looking good Dwyane!

Drake Shares Thoughts On His Racial Identity, Kicks Off Tour At Penn State

Posted: 11 Nov 2011 07:28 AM PST

During a recent interview with The Village Voice, rapper Drake revealed his thoughts on racial indentity--particularly his own--here in America....and it's pretty interesting.  Find out what 25-year-old Mr. Graham said inside and video from his Penn State performance last night...

With his latest disc, Take Care, making its way onto everyones' iPod or iPad via leak (officially drops 11/15), Drake sat down with the Village Voice to discuss Stevie Wonder and racial politics....from his Canadian perspective.  It's interesting to hear what the rapper thinks about race in America coming in as a bi-racial outsider.  Here are the highlights....

You and I have similar backgrounds, a black dad and a white, Jewish mom. Do those issues of race and identity play out differently in Canada compared to the US?

Well, Canada's like a cultural melting pot, especially Toronto. America, I come here sometimes and I witness, like, real segregation. Like when you go to LA and it's like, "This area's Mexican, and this area's white." That's crazy to me because in Toronto we have cultural areas—"OK, this is Little India, this is Chinatown, this is where there the Greek people are"—but it's not segregated. It's not like you can't go there and participate in the culture. So it's a bit different. I think Canada's very accepting. But at the same time I get a lot of love everywhere in the world for just being diverse, instead of just being straight out [one thing]. I'm all mixed up and people embrace that.

When you identify yourself this way do you ever get questioned on it, like, "Why do you call yourself 'mixed'?" or, "What's wrong with just being black?"

I mean, I'm so light that people are like "you're white." That's what I get more than anything, people saying "you're white, you're not black." But I mean those are whatever, those are just silly jokes. That's like "the light-skinned complex." That's a very American thing as well, light skin and dark skin, like I don't even notice that. Girls will be like "oh I've seen you talk to dark-skinned girls, that's so good." And I'm like "why? I talk to any girl!" I talk to anybody, you know?

Tell me about working with Stevie Wonder.

We had met and exchanged numbers a while ago so I called him when I was in LA, and he came to the studio I was working at, named Marvin's Room. So he came and I had this song looped up named "Doing It Wrong," and it was just playing and Stevie said "40 [Drake's producing partner], turn the music up," and he was just vibing, being Stevie Wonder, sort of got quiet. And then he just went in the booth and brought life to this record, added all these musical pieces. He's just, likem a dear friend of mine and a great person. I love working with him, and we'll definitely work more in the future.

Has he given you any particular advice?

Well Stevie is less of, like, I always feel like individuals who give advice... Stevie Wonder is such a human. He's such a, like, human being, he's such a great, funny, real person, that he just makes me laugh and make me feel comfortable. Tells me great stories, ones that I really can't tell [laughing], but he tells me good stories and leads me in the right direction. He doesn't preach to me or try to make me feel like I'm some young'un that he needs to advise, he just treats me like an equal, like a human being. And I love people that do that, I respect that.

Also in Drake news.....

While Penn State deals with the fallout from an epic and disgusting sex-abuse scandal involving several football coaches, Drake hit the stage there to kick off the “Club Paradise” tour at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park last night. He even rocked a cutoff Penn State hoodie and leopard-print jeans. He told them,

“I want to truly thank you for being able to come together and have a great evening. Like I said, despite everything that’s going on around you, this is one of the greatest schools in the motherfu**in’ world. I love you.

“I’d love to come back some time, maybe with some of my family like Nicki Minaj. So while I work on making that happen, you work on being the beautiful people that you are. And until next time I see you, take care.”

Willow Smith ROCKS OUT "X-Factor"+Mathew Knowles Readies Girl Group Reality Show

Posted: 11 Nov 2011 04:58 AM PST

Willow Smith rocked the "X Factor" stage last night for her first live performance of her new single "Fireball."  Sans her new bestie Nicki Minaj who's featured on the song.

Check out video of her performance, plus Mathew Knowles' new reality show project inside....

On last night's live X Factor show, Willow rocked the stage with fireballs all over the place.  Check out her performance above.

Mathew Knowles is trying to stay in the mix.  He's got a brand new reality show called "Breaking From Above" that he's executive producing that puts his company, Music World, in the forefront.  He's bringing over 5 girls from the UK to plant them in Houston so they can compete to become a member of a new girl group called From Above.  All by following Mathew Kowles' girl group bootcamp blueprint.  Sound familiar?

Eurweb reports:

Ashley, Daisy, Seyi, Chelsey and Monique are all in their early 20s and have had various roles in the entertainment business, as singer/songwriter to featured dancer on the Kanye West tour, to lead vocalist in a UK girl band to dancer on a UK dance reality show.

The five girls will be hopping the Pond to Houston, Texas for a much anticipated date with the Music World Entertainment founder and president — a man who knows a thing or two about turning girl groups into gold.

He’ll put the group through his trademark Star Power™ Boot Camp of hardcore physical, vocal, media and choreography training to emphasize the philosophy that made global superstars of his protégés Destiny’s Child: work, work and more hard work.

But there’s a twist – when the girls get to Houston, they quickly learn that there are two new girls, Jasmine and Brandy, living in the house with them and they are now ALL in competition for a spot in “From Above.”

The pressure mounts over the course of their artist development camp, as the girls are put through their paces by famed choreographers Danielle Polanco and Frank Gaston, as well as musical director Tom McKinney and fitness instructor Rozelle Jones of Camp Gladiator. And as Knowles remains very hands-on, especially when it comes to team-building and trust exercises, the studio beckons as the group start to develop their “sound.”

The show won't be aired in the US, but will be on MTV UK and other MTV stations in 160 other countries starting November 13th.

YBF INTERVIEW: The Braxtons DISH On Having Classier Fights Than Other Reality Chicks

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 11:57 AM PST

The Braxtons (sans Tamar who was called away to the hospital to check on hubby Vince) recently chatted it up with TheYBF.com.  They dished on the rumors of jealousy amongst them and how to have a classy catfight.

Check out our convo inside....

The fabulous Braxton sisters chopped it up with TheYBF.com recently about Mama Evelyn hitting the dating scene, jealousy among the sisters, how their reality show has impacted the family, and why you won't ever see them tossing a drink.

Being thrust into the public eye wouldn't be easy for most families.  Especially when the world knows all your drama--like the fact Toni makes a point to do her own promo separately.  Hmm....

"Braxton Family Values" made us look at our issues," Towanda revealed to us.  Before the tv show, we used to sweep things under the rug. But now we are forced to address the pink elephant in the room.  We have to talk about what is bothering us and at the end of the day, it’s about love and mending what we have."

On often fussing and fighting as sisters:

Traci: We are going to argue, we are going to bicker and we are going to not speak to each other for a few minutes. But tv forces people to ask themselves what would you do? Would you hold a grudge or still love?

Trina: As sisters, we know everything about each other. We know what makes each other tick and how to push each other’s buttons. But we also know how to pick each other up. I think social networking is sometimes bad because people make bad comments and try to stir up negativity between us. Like, they will ask are we jealous of each other. Stop that! We are proud of each and shame on you!

On why the sister's are classier and different than other drink tossing hair pulling reality chicks:

Traci:I think it's silly for grown folks to fight and throw drinks. What kind of role model are you setting when you do that? You should not need Bengay after an argument. You must be an example.

Towanda: We don’t fight. We don’t throw drinks or pull hair. Our parents taught us to use our words.  It’s too much when grown women fist fight! You are grown! What happens after you scuffle? Your hair is messed up, your makeup is smeared and you’re not cute anymore.

Trina: I think reality tv goes to far when people discuss bedroom activities. Bedrooms and bathrooms are off limits!

Traci on seeming displaced last season

Traci: I felt a little out of place. This season you will see why I didn’t sing with my sisters and my other career goals. I was a beauty school drop out twice. But you have to live your own life…can’t focus on other people.

On their parent’s divorce

Trina: It’s really difficult to not have that family home. But we have the love of both of our parents and we look forward to spending time with them over the holidaysBut my mom is dating now. She still got her “hey hey what what. I want her to get with someone who takes her out on trips and will spoil her.

On how their show is different than other reality shows

Towanda: I don’t feel like it’s a competition. Our show is different because it's based on family and values. We don’t fight. We don’t throw drinks or pull hair. Our parents taught us to use our words.

Towanda: Sometimes we may need a moment when harsh words are used. Like, I don’t always agree with what Tamar says, but it’s about her delivery. Words hurt. For us, it’s about taking that moment and then coming back and saying, 'I didn’t appreciate what you said and how you said it'."

On what they want out of life for each other:

Trina: For my mom, I hope she finds a sugar daddy.  For Toni, I hope she finds peace within a judgmental media. Traci, I hope “The Braxtons” album happens for her.  I hope Towanda gets back with (husband) Andre.  Tamar, I hope that she closes her mouth!

TraciI want my mom to stay young and beautiful.  I want Toni to stay successful and prosper in everything in life.  For myself, I want to stay young, beautiful and sexy.  I hope Towanda has happiness.  I hope Trina becomes a 12-time Grammy winner.  I want Tamar to have silence!  Love you!

Towanda: For my mom, I hope she wins the $350 Mega Millions.  Toni, I want her to be as successful as she ever was. Traci, I hope she opens her own beauty salon.  For me, I hope to receive an Oscar!  Trina, I want Trina to be successful as a singer.  And I hope Tamar has a daughter just like herself!

Tamar would probably love a smart-mouthed mini-me!  Tune in tomorrow for our exclusive with Tamar Braxton as she dishes up relationship advice for her sisters and her take on what really went down on tonight's premiere.

Season 2 of "Braxton Family Values" airs tonight (Thursday) at 9ET on WeTV.
