Trina DISHES On Rap Beefs, Kenyon Martin & A POSSIBLE Upcoming "Love & Hip Hop: Miami"?!

Posted: 17 Nov 2011 08:28 AM PST

Trina stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to talk about possibly starring in "Love & Hip Hop: Miami," (really?) her status with NBA baller Kenyon Martin, and what she likes in the bedroom. Get the deets inside.....

One of our fave female rappers Trina (yeah we said it--don't judge) stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to talk about working with Rick Ross, looking for love and if she likes a good tongue in her butt. (Thanks Charlamagne Tha God!)  Here are the highlights:

On music and the Maybach Music Group

She's working on her sixth album and Rick Ross has played a large role in this album.  She did not say she was signing to MMG, but it seems like Rick Ross is a big part of her career now.

On Nisha Rockstarr

She said she's happy to have signed Nisha Rockstarr as her artist because she admires her hunger believes in her talent.

On a possible spinoff called "Love & Hip Hop: Miami"

She didn't deny that a show "might" be in the works but she said she would have to make a decision about whether she would do it or not.  Also, she said, "Won't nobody be throwing drinks in Trina's face." I know that's right...

On Kenyon Martin

She said you can still love someone after you have broken up, but she is moving on with her life.

On "tongue in butts"

A comment was made about putting "tongues in butts" and Trina added that she liked that.

On female rappers

She said she doesn't have beef with anyone (not even Khia?) and has worked with most of the female rappers in the game.  Although she thinks that women aren't always supportive of each other, she remains postive and above the "negative stuff."

HOUSE HUNTING TWOSOME: The Carters Get Ready To Cop A Miami Home

Posted: 17 Nov 2011 07:13 AM PST

Beyonce and Jay-Z are house hunting in Miami.  The expectant twosome used their time down south wisely this week while Jay & Kanye made their Watch The Throne tour stop.

Pics inside of the bright and house hunting twosome...

Bey rocked her bright yellow, purple, & salmon caftan and flip flops for the house hunting occasion.  The husband/wife team were spotted hopping out their car before touring a luxe estate.  Beyonce reportedly owned a home in Miami years ago, so it looks like she's ready for another home in addition to their Tribeca, NY home.  And it's likely a plus Kelly Rowland lives there as well.

Looks like she didn't want to be bothered yesterday.  Can't even be mad at that....

Ne-Yo and his girl Monyetta Shaw may have just dropped their second baby, Mason, in under two years last month, but they're already back on the party scene.

Pics of the twosome--plus Keri Hilson and more--hitting Common's listening party last night in the ATL...

Common celebrated the release of his ninth album "The Dreamer, The Believer" at Jermaine Dupri's studio in Atlanta last night.  And his celeb friends like Ne-Yo, Keri Hilson, and Jeezy came out to celebrate.

Ne-Yo's baby moms Monyetta was there.  She looks good post-baby.

And Ne-Yo looked nice.

So....nobody wanted to just go in and add their own "i" to "Believer" on the cake so Common could have his ish correct?

Cute look for Keri as she posed it up with Jeezy.  Common's album hits shelves December 20th, just in time for Christmas.

Check out video of Common last night talking about the inspiration for his album and how he went back to his roots for it:

Tyler Perry Swoops To The Defense Of His "Marriage Counselor" Star Kim Kardashian, Says She Is A ROLE MODEL

Posted: 16 Nov 2011 10:20 PM PST

While Kim Kardashian is catching all types of criticism from fans, former fans, and those who never drank the Kardashian Kool-Aid, about her 72-day marriage and her seemingly fraudulent persona...she's finding solace in her boss, Tyler Perry.

Check out what the writer, director & producer of The Marriage Counselor had to say inside about folks protesting Kim's appearance in the film....

Tyler sent out this personal message late Wednesday night to respond to the folks who are boycotting him and starting & signing petitions against Kim K.'s appearance in The Marriage Counselor.  Petitions have circulated this week with thousands of signatures asking E! to remove the Kardashian family.  And similar petitions were created concerning her appearance in Tyler's upcoming movie.

Folks have also started a grassroots boycott of Tyler if he continues on with her in the movie.  Even respected actresses like Holly Robinson Peete have chimed in that "blacktresses" are upset about Tyler's main role casting decision, regardless of the transparent decision to do so for publicity and money making purposes.

Kim's co-star Vanessa Williams also came to her defense Wednesday as they exchanged tweets:

@KimKardashian ..met her..worked with her..Always be willing to have an open ear & heart. Never judge, people!

@vwofficial You are so sweet Vanessa! love u for this! Game night for sure!

@KimKardashian thanks for following! Hope your event was great yesterday! My Greek christening was delicious & joyous. See you at gamenight!

So Tyler has now answered the critics and attempted to clear up what's really up with Kim's role, which he says is not a lead one.  Essentially she's playing herself--a chick who likes to play stylist to her friends. He also asks his fans the question of why it's so wrong to cast her when the film is about forgiveness and recognizing mistakes.  And he pushes that Kim is a great role model for our youth.  *eyebrows raised*  Here's his letter in full:

I think many of you know that this is a very difficult time of year for me, so what I try to do is make sure that I’m working during this time. All I wanted to do was shoot a great film and try to keep my mind off the holiday grief that I have been experiencing for the past two years. I could not have imagined I’d be getting all these emails about Kim Kardashian. I HAVE SEEN THEM!! YOU HAVE BEEN HEARD!! …LOL. Now, may I say something? Can a brother get a word in?….LOL. Y’all gave me a new movie title, Tyler Perry’s “Diary of a Mad Black Woman Cause You Hired Kim Kardashian, Don’t Make Me Take Off My Earrings and Boycott Yo A**.”…LOL. Some of my ladies are upset. Ok, all jokes aside, can I have my say? Will you at least here me out?

I was in a Mexican restaurant and the cutest little old woman stopped me and said, “I want to talk to you about KAR-DAT- CHA-NEM.” I said, “Ma’am?” She said, “What is wrong with you putting her in the lead role of your movie?” By the time I explained to her that she was not in the lead role and why I thought she should be in “The Marriage Counselor”, she said, “Oh, I see your point and I can’t wait to see the movie.” So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to share with you what I said to her then maybe you’ll see why I wanted her in the film.

This movie is about a young lady named Judith (Jurnee Smolett), who grew up in the countryside of Virginia in a trailer park. She was raised in the church by her mother Sarah (Ella Joyce). Judith married her childhood sweetheart Brice (Lance Gross) and had the perfect life until she graduated college and went to work in the big city. After college, all she wanted to do was be a marriage counselor, but the only job she could find was working for a matchmaker named Janice (Vanessa Williams). Janice has several employees that work for her, including a woman named Ava (Kim Kardashian). Ava is constantly trying to influence Judith on everything from her shoes to her hair. Judith meets a man at work named Harley (Robbie Jones). Harley challenges everything in her life from her marriage to her husband to her faith. Meanwhile, Brice (Lance Gross), Judith’s husband works at a pharmacy owned by Mrs. Waco (Renee Taylor). Brice has just hired a coworker named Melinda (Brandy), who has some major demons that she is running from. In the end, the choices that both of these young women have made come crashing down on them and their lives will never be the same. I wish I could tell you more, but I don’t want to ruin it for you.

After I finished writing this movie, I sat back and re-read it. Half way through my read, the gravity of what I had written hit me. I knew that this message was not only for my age group, but for all audiences, especially the youth. ESPECIALLY THE YOUTH!! YOUNG FOLKS NEED TO SEE THIS!!! And not just the young people that follow me, but the young people that are following other young people, as well. I wanted a younger cast, that’s why I put Jurnee in the lead and invited Lance Gross, Robbie Jones and Brandy. About two months ago, long before I even heard about Kim’s marriage or divorce, I was trying to finish up the casting. I said to one of my producers, “who else is out there that young people are looking up to?” One of my producers showed me pictures that his daughter had taken of several hundred kids lined up around the corner to get into a Kardashian store. They wanted to meet Kim. I thought, what better person! She literally has millions of young people following her. I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film. To have the young people that look up to her, see her in a film that is about, what happens in life when you make the wrong choices. Whether you’re aware of it or not, to be honest with you I wasn’t, millions of young people adore her and are following her every move. If one of those young people see this film and find the strength to live a better life and not go through what these characters went through in this movie, then we have all done what I feel I’m being led to do here. I hope you understand. I really do!

And lastly, because I believe that my films speak from the inside out, why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about Faith, Forgiveness and the healing power of God? What is wrong with that??

Making mockery of the serious concerns his fans have--whether they are wrong or right--by jokingly saying basic ish like Don’t Make Me Take Off My Earrings and Boycott Yo A** speaks volumes.  And the undertone (which actually undermines the valid points he does have) that we should be thankful to have a "role model" like Kim Kardashian for our young girls is irking me to no end, and is preventing me from making the effort to analyze the rest of this ish.

So instead of me popping off at the mouth...hard...I'll let y'all speak on it....

Nicole Ari Parker Gets FAB For The Holidays, Talks Love At First Sight With Hubby Boris

Posted: 16 Nov 2011 09:07 PM PST

Nicole Ari Parker is looking Holiday-hot for the December 2011 issue of DENIM Magazine.  Check out her looks for the season...and how she says she and her hubby Boris Kodjoe fell in love at first sight....

This second picture just screams sexy and modelicious.  The 41-year-old actress and mom of Sophie & Nicolas rocked a cute conservative chic white button down and flower inspired folded skirt with a tuxedo bowtie for the cover.  And a long sleeved off-the-shoulder white gown and killer heels for an inside shot.

She gushed about falling instantly for her husband Boris Kodjoe when they met on the set of "Soul Food" years ago...or how he fell for her rather:

DENIM: Speaking of built relationships…what was your first reaction to meeting Boris Kodjoe?! Was it on set of Soul Food or before?!

NICOLE: When Boris walked into our first rehearsal i thought of him as the really hot guy that got to play my boyfriend in the first couple of episodes. But for some reason we connected and found it easy to talk to each other and laugh and be comfortable...and then i married him. Vanessa called it from the beginning, just like a real sister would, "you know he's feeling you right?' instigating.."nuh-uh" I said. "Yuh-huh, watch.. that's your man right there." and the rest is history.

Sweet!  Here's some behind-the-scenes footage:

Janet Jackson Spills Tea On Her Man, Her Weight And Her Brother Michael In HARPER'S BAZAAR ARABIA

Hmm...does that mean she may walk down the aisle again? Janet did say, "We have a bond, a deep connection." And it was cute that Wissam revealed a little something in the interview too saying, "I'm fortunate enough to be dating my dream woman."

She also talk about her weight struggles detailed in her True You book saying,

"It was very difficult for me at the beginning - it was so raw.  But now, I'm able to listen to Michael's music and watch his videos."

Janet looked fab in a green Tom Ford gown.

And simply stunning in this Zuhair Murad gown. Fabulous!

Kelly Rowland TALKS Catfights, JEALOUS Chicks, And Success As A Solo Artist

Posted: 16 Nov 2011 04:30 PM PST

Kelly Rowland recently sat for a photoshoot with STYLIST Magazine where she dishes on catfights, getting her money right and her rise to fame. See photos and highlights inside....

Kelly Rowland is a press darling in the UK and recently she rocked a hot photoshoot and interesting interview for STYLIST Magazine.  Here are the highlights:

You seem unusually well adjusted for such a global star. How have you bypassed the negative impact that fame sometimes brings?

Great friends and great surroundings. Growing up with my mom, Doris, Bey [Beyoncé], and Bey’s mother, Tina. If I came home with a big head, they’d tell me to get out the house – which has happened by the way. That’s what is so beautiful about the friendship of Destiny’s Child; honesty. To this day, I could wake up one morning and there’s this long text message from Bey or Michelle.

As a group, you’ve managed to sidestep any rumours of catfights…

Listen, you can’t preach about having female power, supporting each other and being a unit, if you’re not one. I remember one of the first solo projects Bey did, I was sitting there the whole video shoot supporting her. I was happy for my sister. Some of the public would love for me to hate her, but what’s the purpose? What’s to gain out of it? One of the things I’m most proud of in my life is the fact that we have maintained a sisterly bond.

Rather than being manufactured, it seemed you were always very much in control of everything from your music to your money...

Oh, yeah. I remember the first time we toured, I was like, “Wow, where did all these lights and the backdrop come from?” I was told, “Well, they came from your pocket. You’re paying for all of this.” So I started asking, “How many people are part of the tour crew? How many people do this or that? Do we actually need this?” I want to be smart. I’ve had a lot of money and I’ve had a little. I know what that feels like. I remember my mom struggling and I don’t want to be in that situation. I’m thankful to her job [live-in nanny] for showing me a different way. She worked for doctors, lawyers, people who worked in finance. I was like, “That’s a nice car. Woo, this is a great house. Wow, that woman smells good.” My mom had perfume but it came from the drug store, not Neiman Marcus. But I also saw how hard her bosses worked to have those nice things. I saw the time they spent away from their children. I saw that when they came home, they were still working. I understood what kind of work ethic it took to be a success.

How important was it for you to achieve success as a solo artist?

I was very nervous to be honest. I think my nerves got the best of me for a long time. I’ve never really said that before. I released singles here and there, but it was never really anything that felt finished. I feel like I’ve only found my voice recently.

Your technical abilities as a singer are amazing. When you see other bands who have perhaps become famous purely because of looks or image, how do you feel?

I think there’s enough room for everybody. As long as everybody works hard and you have passion behind what you’re doing, then you can’t really knock anybody. What are you going to say? If you pay attention to what somebody else is doing then you could be missing out on something you could be doing yourself. To me, it’s like watching a sprinter. They’re looking straight ahead because if they look from side to side, they will fall and fail. It’s important to look straight ahead.

Have you ever encountered jealousy from other women?

I think you always experience it as a woman, but you kill it with kindness. I hate it. It’s just pathetic. As women, we have to realise what we bring to the table. What do you want to do for the world? How do you want to change it? And when you know that, you don’t have to compare yourself to anybody else. The world would be boring as hell if everybody looked alike, dressed alike, with the same body type.

Do you ever feel judged unfairly as a woman in business?

Well, no matter what I say or wear, if somebody wants to do business with me, great. If they don’t, I can’t be mad at them. I don’t take it personally. That’s quite a skill. I’m an emotional person but sometimes you’ve got to put that aside. Saying that, sometimes I am completely ridiculous. I’m a bit of a drama queen. I said to Louis [Walsh] the other day, “I have too much oestrogen. I wish I had just enough testosterone to help balance everything out.” He was like, “You’re crazy.” [Laughs]

And her girls Mashonda and Suzie Ketchum were there as well.

Nice.

Earlier today, Rihanna and Usher were added to the growing list of performers set to rock the stage for "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown To Music's Biggest Night." Get deets on the show inside and more of Rih's new promo pics...

Rihanna and Usher were recently announced as performers for "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown To Music's Biggest Night."

The show's producer, Ken Ehrlich, made the announcement earlier today saying,

“We are very excited to announce that Rihanna, Usher and The Band Perry have been added to our great line up for the Grammy nominations show."

Usher and RiRi will join previously announced acts, Jason Aldean, Lady Gaga Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, and Sugarland.

The show airs November 30th, with two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J as host.

And speaking of Usher, his little brother was busted for charges of domestic violence last week. SMH....

And in other Rihanna news, the pop star is trying to unload her water damaged mansion in Beverly Hills. Seems that the house is gorgeous on the outside, but due to construction defects, when it rains....it pours....literally.

She's wants to get rid of it so bad she's selling for $4.5M instead of waiting a bit...even though she paid $6.9M for the house!

In the meantime, check out more Talk That Talk promo pics here:

NeNe Leakes Says Her Rumored New Man--The Owner Of Famous Famiglia--Is Her Business Partner

Posted: 16 Nov 2011 10:29 AM PST

"RHOA" star NeNe Leakes stopped by "The Wendy Show" this morning.  And she semi-cleared up the rumors about her alleged new man John Kolaj, who conveniently is the CEO & co-founder of Famous Famiglia--the same restaurant chain she copped a franchise with this past September.

Plus inside Kim Z.'s $1 mill wedding and her 3 dresses.  Deets inside...

According to NeNe, she still in limbo about her divorce (despite the fact Gregg hasn't NOT been by her side everywhere he goes yet).  And her alleged new man, John, pictured above, is simply her business partner.  Interesting.

NeNe did her usual and went in about her "boring" castmates Sheree, Kandi, and Phaedra on "The Wendy Show" today.  She said they were obviously too boring to be on Wendy's show alone--that's why they appeared as a trio last week.

She also tried to clear up that proclamation of hers on the premiere about her riches.  She told Wendy:

"I've had a lot of success..I'm very rich"

"I'm rich in so many other ways...I'm rich in spirit, I'm rich in life, people always only go to money."

Right.  Meanwhile, she called her arch nemisis from "Celebrity Apprentice," Star Jones, a "very mean woman" right after asking if she was still alive.  And she said she didn't go to Kim Zolciak's wedding and wasn't invited.  Here's the clip of her appearance:

By the way, Kim Zolciak has officially kicked off her new spin-off reality show.  And is giving you the inside details to her $1 mill wedding over at Life & Style.  Alrighty then....
