SPEAK ON IT: Chrissy & Kimbella's SUCKER PUNCH BRAWL On "Love & Hip Hop 2"

Posted: 15 Nov 2011 08:15 AM PST

And so it begins.  On last night's Season 2 premiere of "Love & Hip Hop," the "ladies" kicked off things with a bang.  And a punch or three.

Was Kimbella wrong for the way she revealed to the whole room that she used to cheat with Fabolous?  Was Chrissy wrong for sucker punching her on behalf of her homie Emily B.?  Speak on it....

So here's a little background.  Last night, video chick and Juelz Santana's baby's mother (or as she delusionally introduced herself...."The woman of Juelz Santana, a "model," an actress, a diva, and everything else") Kimbella met Jim Jones' girlfriend and narrator of the show Chrissy for the first time.  Their men are both a part of the Dipset clique and have been besties for years....but Juelz's baby mama apparently wasn't on Chrissy's radar.

Shortly after those two met for the first time, Kim and Yandy (Jimmy's now ex-manager) met all the rest of the girls at a suite for Emily's "Independence from Fabolous" party.  (Anybody else find it ironic she was on this woman's empowerment tip the entire time talking about how wrong Fab does her...but they're currently back together now?)  Anywho...the party went left when Kimbella came out of the woodwork telling Emily (and the entire room) that she used to "date" Fab 3 years ago.  When Emily put her math skills to use--she realized 3 years ago, she was pregnant with their son Johan.  So once again, Fab was cheating.  Kimbella put on the "Yeah...sorry about that" face...and Chrissy lost it.

Peep the videos of the beat down.  Was Chrissy wrong for taking up for her girl who couldn't speak up for herself?  Or did Kimbella deserve to catch some hell for not only cheating with Fab (she claims she didn't know anything about Emily despite it being well known the two were a couple and their baby shower was all over the net), but also for not pulling Emily to the side to tell her privately instead?  Was Kim just being messy and trying to play that ever-transparent victim role?

Video of the pre-fight drama (and Mama Jones' foolywang behavior with this damn rap diss about Chrissy):

Video of the actual fight:

Speak on it...

BONUS: Kimbella and Yandy hit Power 105's The Breakfast Club this morning.  And Kim says Juelz is fine with the fact she was Fab's jumpoff.  And she says revealing last night that she sexed Fab was done for tv.  Shocker.

Heavy D's Family Says He Was a Great Father, Will Miss His "Bear Hugs"

Posted: 15 Nov 2011 06:27 AM PST

Heavy D's family has released a statement about the rapper's life saying he was an unselfish man known for giving great bear hugs and being a wonderful dad. Read their statement inside.....

The family of Heavy D has released a heartfelt statement that offers a look into the rapper's life as a family man, friend and artist.  Read it here:

"Hev had great love for his family and friends; he was a kind and giving spirit who extended and shared himself with everyone who crossed his path.

He had a heart of gold, was approachable, very personable and gave of himself willingly and unconditionally.

Though Hev will most notably be remembered for his work both behind-the-scenes and in the forefront, he will always be remembered by us as a generous soul who remained humble and unselfish till his final days.

Out of all Hev’s successes and accomplishments, in his eyes, his most important triumph was that of becoming a father. Hev’s love for his daughter Xea was profound–she was the center of his life, his heart, his soul.

He often said “I cannot live without her and that she embodied every phenomenal attribute that he brought to this world.” The name and the success of Heavy D will always be synonymous with music forever. He never compromised his values and artistry, and encouraged his peers to do the same. To us, Hev was the one who made us laugh, cry, sing, dance and turn a frown upside down.

As a family, we are devastated by Hev’s passing but through our faith in God and support from family, friends and fans-we are comforted, blessed and will remain strong.

His “bear hugs” are going to be deeply missed."

Heavy's memorial services will take place later this week in New York.  Our prayers are with the family.

Occupy Wall Street Protestors EVICTED, Can Only Return WITHOUT Camping Out

Posted: 15 Nov 2011 05:48 AM PST

The owners of Zuccotti Park (Brookfield Properties) and Mayor Bloomberg fully evicted the Occupy Wall Street protestors from the area just after midnight last night.  But despite the sh*tstorm it's causing right now, it's only temporary.  And the protestors can only return with tight restrictions. Will they return at all?

Details inside...

Over 1000 riot police officers from NYPD hit Zuccotti park around 1am, a time Bloomberg said was chosen to lessen chances of the possible injuries and rioting.  The Mayor of New York City says he made the final decision to evict in order to guarantee public health and safety after Brookfield Properties made it known they wanted the protestors to leave.

The Mayor's office said it became next to impossible for the rest of the public to navigate the park as the protestors were breaking the park rules of No Camping and No Sleeping.  And health concerns and fire hazards became extreme concerns.

"The first amendment gives the right to speak out," stated Bloomberg this morning at the press conference.  "But it does not give the right to take over.  The protestors have had 2 months to occupy with tents and sleeping bags.  Now, they will have to occupy the space with the power of their arguments."

Mayor Bloomberg said at his press conference just minutes ago that the intention was always to reopen the park at 8am today and allow people to express their First Amendment rights.  But occupyers will not be allowed to return with sleeping bags, tarps, and tents.

As of 8:45am EST, the park has not re-opened due to a restraining order issue the city is handling. Protestors have been trying to re-enter this morning but are being kicked out. Russell Simmons, Kanye West, and many high profile celebs have stopped by the movement to offer support.

DRAKE Covers Complex's December/January 2012 Issue, REVEALS His Biggest Fear

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 05:21 PM PST

Drake covers the December 2011 / January 2012 issue of "Complex" Magazine where he sits for an in-depth interview that covers why so many rappers diss him, what he tries to bring to the game and what his biggest fear in life is.  See highlights inside.....

Promoting his name album Take Care, Drake sat down with Complex Magazine to discuss why he is so polarizing in the rap game.  He talks about the haters, folks making fun of his sweaters and reveal his one fear.  Here are the highlights....

On his haters -

“They nitpick at everything,” he says, shaking his head. “I can’t do anything. All they want me to do is dress so they can make fun of me. Otherwise, it’s hard for them. I don’t give people many reasons to dislike me. They have to find shit. They’re like, ‘Aw man, sweaters! He wears sweaters too much.’ Like, what?”

On his ONE fear -

“Dying, before I accomplish all this. That’s it. My father taught me: ‘Don’t fear any man. Don’t ever fear another person.’ I don’t get myself mixed up with stupid shit. I get a lot of love. I don’t feel tension. I stand 6'2". By no means am I the most threatening guy in the rap game, but there are very few people who will come up and say that shit to me in person. It’s always all smiles. That’s one thing I do not fear, anyone in this game. Nobody. Especially none of these guys that are paid to talk shit.”

On beefs and confrontation -

“If somebody wants to bring a problem to me, it’s strictly based off of their immense amount of hate for me,” he says. “It’s never because I’ve sparked that using my voice, my image, or my outlet. I never use my outlet for confrontation or negativity, ever. I always try and give people music to ride to and music to enjoy. All I ever ask in return is that it’s mutual love.”

On making music -

“Any musical sound is real to me,” Drake says as another round of drinks hits the table. “It doesn’t matter if it’s from like Lana Del Ray all the way to Future from Atlanta or ASAP Rocky. Sonically, you can do whatever you want. That’s the beautiful thing about music: you get to make a choice. The more you can start pinpointing pieces of your actual life and start pulling it into your music, people will be like, ‘Damn, that’s something I’ve only thought about, but this guy put it into a song.’

On dissing other rappers in songs -

“Rapping is about being young and doing your thing and being fly,” he says—the implication being that if older rappers catch feelings, so be it. “I’m sure people took it that way and that’s good, man. That’s great. Wake the fuck up. I hope it makes you go harder. I hope it makes you get mad at me and write a song with me in mind. I hope Kanye’s verse on ‘Otis’ was with that in mind. Everyone tried to tell me ‘Oh Jay is going at you.’ I don’t hear it, but I hope it was man, that song is fucking incredible. Making each other go harder, that's what this shit is about.”

NBA Players Reject The Leagues' Latest Offer, Ballers React

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 02:17 PM PST

Earlier today, The NBA and the players’ union were unable to reach an agreement and the union dissolved, likely ending any chance of a 2011-2012 season. Get reactions from players inside......

With NBA ballers unable to reach an agreement with the league, it effectively ends the likelyhood of a 2011-2012 basketball season....and the players are not happy.  Many of them took to twitter to express outrage.

"This is the best decision for the players. I want to reiterate that point, that a lot of individual players have a lot of things personally at stake in terms of their careers and where they stand. And right now they feel it's important — we all feel it's important to all our players, not just the ones in this room, but our entire group — that we not only try to get a deal done for today but for the body of NBA players that will come into this league over the next decade and beyond." — NBPA president Derek Fisher

Keyshia Cole's husband, Cleveland Cavaliers star Daniel Gibson said,

Charlotte Bobcats star Kemba Walker said,

Phoenix Suns player Hakim Warrick said,

FRESH MEAT: Meet "The Black Russian" Model Ronnie Cash

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 12:40 PM PST

Because we love featuring up-and-coming YBF folks, feast you eyes on newbie model Ronnie Cash, who his model counterparts call "The Black Russian."  The 27-year old California native with the icy blue eyes is new to the modeling scene....but definitely set to make an impact.  See more pics inside.....

Though fresh-on-the-scene model Ronnie Cash gives off the illusion of picture-perfect beauty, his childhood was far from picture perfect.  Raised in a rough area of Inglewood, California, young Ronnie fell in with a bad crowd and spent time in jail following the death of his stepmother.

But after some soul-searching, at age 17, he returned to his birth mother, pulling his life together.  And just last year, decided he wanted to become a model. Ronnie tells us how he's not into the typical model behavior:

"I'm like every other guy on my block, he tells TheYBF.com. I'm just super blessed to be able to travel the world doing what I love to do.  I'm a really fun and humble guy underneath all the flashy clothes. I was always taught that authenticity can never go out of style. "

So far, he's made tv appearances on Cedric The Entertainer's past reality show, commercials, and there is more to come.  He was discovered by Model/Activist, Marvin Bienaime, who is the founder of the SMILE 4 HAITI organization and CEO at the Bienaime Agency.

Ronnie says,

"Being African American and Russian has taught me to lead and always strive for greatness. I truly believe that a good model sets the tone for the moment, but a "great" model advances fashion for the future. Fashion is much more than a look. There is confidence and style behind it all."

We agree.  Feast on his modeliciousness--which even in the pics heavily photoshopped we still like the talent--below:

"Occupy All Streets" T-Shirts Are Back On The Market...And Going Fast!

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 12:09 PM PST

It turns out Jay-Z and Rocawear didn't pull those "Occupy All Streets" tees (according to them) from the Rocawear site afterall. In fact, the shirts are selling well and Rocawear has restocked them.  Get the deets inside...

While folks thought those "Occupy All Streets" t-shirts were MIA on the Rocawear website because of backlash, it turns out the item had simply sold out!

Now the shirt has reappeared on the company's site and is reportedly shaping up to be a big seller.

And about that OWS "spokesperson" who called Jay-Z a "scrotum"....turns out the OWS folks don't claim him.  A member of Occupy Wall Street tells us that "Grim" has no affiliation with them and an OWS merchandise site says they support Jay-Z.

So does that makes it ok for us to rock the shirts now?  Or does the fact Jay and co. still aren't saying they will donate any of the proceeds to the cause still make this a problem?

HE'S TAKEN: NFLer & Model Ray Edwards Brings "Dancer" Girlfriend Lastarya To Falcons Game

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 10:04 AM PST

Well this ought to get interesting.  News hit the rumor mill months ago that ATL Falcons baller Ray Edwards was set to wife up a stripper/booty model named Lastarya.  And after their Urban Ink spread preview pics that hit the net a couple months ago, it got real.

And if you're wondering what the baller, who is known for snapping nekkid pics in his mirror, likes on his women...

Ass.  To be blunt.  Lastarya is a stripper who has been making her name and booty a known name by taking the same path as Buffy The Body.  But she's reportedly a "very nice" girl though.

And after these new modeling pics of Ray's hit the net, folks were wondering about his status.  Well here it is:  According to the folks over at ATL Nightspots, he's got a girl he's turning into wifey--bit she's not rocking a ring just yet.  She brought her fam from Louisiana, where she's also from, to Sunday's HUGE Falcons vs. Saints rival game at the Georgia Dome.  Here's the pics, plus her posing with Ray (above):

Some of her (and Ray's) infamous bathroom booty pics and Urban Ink Magazine spread pics (we posted the more tamed ones):

She keeps the classiness going over at her Model Mayhem account.  And thanks to Ray's new $30 mill contract, she may never have to work a pole again.  Whatever works...

You can check out more of her "work" here and here.

GQ's 2011 "Man Of The Year" Jay-Z REVEALS The Scars Of Not Having A Father...And What HIS Fatherhood Will Be Like

Posted: 14 Nov 2011 09:54 AM PST

Hip-Hop icon Jay-Z covers the latest issue of GQ magazine as one of their 2011 "Man Of The Year" honorees. Get the deets on his honor and find out what he said about growing up fatherless inside....

Former "Occupy All Streets" designer Jay-Z shares the distiction of being GQ's "Man Of The Year" for 2011.

This month, Jay stars on one of four special covers (Mila Kunis, Michael Fassbender, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon are also featured), celebrating this year's honorees.

In the article, Jay opens up about what it's like working with a perfectionist like Kanye West.

“I think he just can’t help himself. He puts so much into everything, and he’s like, ‘You have to treat it like I treat it.’ It drives you crazy sometimes—like when you’ve put seventy-five versions of a snare on one song and he’s like, ‘No!’ and you’re like, ‘Come on, man.’ ”

When asked if he had any say in the MTV VMAs  plan to reveal he and his wife, Beyonce's baby news, he said: “It was actually Bey who wanted to [announce] it. You want to be in control of your life."  He also said he will "100%" be changing diapers.

And in one of the most revealing moments of the interview, Jay reveals the scar it left when his father walked out on their family.

“If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts—but it’s not like you had a connection with something that was real. Not to say it’s any better—but to have that connection and then have it ripped away was, like, the worst. My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero.”

“[I talked about] what it did to me, what it meant, asked him why. There was no real answer. There was nothing he could say, because there’s no excuse for that. There really isn’t. So there was nothing he could say to satisfy me, except to hear me out. And it was up to me to forgive and let it go.”

Sounds like Jay is really focusing on fatherhood now. Gotta love that grown swag...
