In the words of legendary dance diva Janet Jackson, "When I was 17...." Gabrielle Douglas will have plenty to reflect on when she sits down one day to talk about the year 2012. As she celebrates her birthday today, Gabby has gone from being an underrated gymnast to one of the most celebrated atheletes in the world. With numerous endorsements, a best-selling autobiography and countless magazine covers under her belt, her lengendary performances at the 2012 Olympics in London made her the first African American to win the all-around gold medal in gymnastics. She's America's newest sweetheart and is the perfect example of what hard work and persistence in the face of adversity can result in. Congrats to Gabby on a stellar year and for making us all proud. A$AP Rocky is being sued by a man who claims the rapper bashed him in July 2012 after he got high on drugs. Get more deets inside....
Rapper A$AP Rocky may have settled with photographers he's accused of brawling with back in July 2012, but the man he's accused of starting the fight with is still looking for his day in court. Shenick Alcine says that in July 2012 he saw A$AP Rocky getting high in a NY clothing store and was viciously attacked by the rapper. The whole thing was allegedly filmed by two photographers, whom A$SAP also fought with (after he noticed them filming the brawl). TMZ reports that A$AP (who was arrested for the brawl) struck a plea deal with the photographers. The assault and robbery charges were dropped, but now Shenick is seeking damages. No word yet on what Shenick is seeking but we assume it's more than a few $$$ for his pain and suffering. For his part, A$AP hasn't addressed the lawsuit....yet.

Fantasia had something to say on Instagram...again. And this time she's going off about all the wrongs in the world--like gay marriage--and expressing her confusion as to why she gets judged when others do "wrong" things as well.
Check out Fanny's attempt at a literate opinion inside... While tweeting a pic of herself "rising above it all", as she said, Fantasia gave her readers a piece of her mind about all the "wrongs" in the world. She questioned why those who support/are involved in gay marriage, making weed legal, etc. are allowed to just go mad. But she, a person who got pregnant by a married man, is judged so harshly.
Needless to say, she caught a massive amount of backlash. And that explains why she deleted the post a little while later. Meanwhile, Fanny is going from city to city doing performances. Lil' Scrappy and Soulja Boy got into an apparent war of words on Twitter yesterday where names were called and threats were made all over some ish with Diamond that happened A LONG TIME AGO. Find out what drama the two seem to be bringing with them into 2013 inside..... While many folks are making resolutions about what to leave behind in 2012, rappers Lil' Scrappy and Soulja Boy seem to be bringing old drama and beefs with them into 2013.
Of all the things the two rappers could have been focusing on last night (like making hit records OR catering to their families) a war of words broke out about rapper Diamond (whom both had OR still have a relationship with). Though Soulja Boy's tweets have been deleted, you can tell from Lil' Scrappy's heated exhcange that it all boiled down to Soulja Boy talking about "f*cking" Lil' Scrappy's ex-girl (Diamond). And gay accusations were throw around as well. Smh.
So what does Diamond have to say about this? She retweeed some things....

When Kanye West (and Kim's family) confirmed late last night that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was expecting her first child with him, the news bolted through the media world at lightening speed. Now catch the very moment when a smiling Kanye told his Atlantic City audience he has a baby mama now, and the first pics of Kim & Kanye after the announcement... Last night at the final night of his Revel concerts, Kanye West stopped the music in the middle of Kim's favorite song, which he also said he wrote for her, "Lost In The World." And he looked toward the VIP section where she was sitting and told the audience, "Make some noise for my baby mama right there." He also sang during the song, "Now she's having my baby." How sweet.
The 12-weeks pregnant Kim was reportedly in tears, happy and surprised by the announcement. She was pictured right afterwards hugging her mom, Kris Jenner.
And the couple was spotted backstage right after the announcement. On a side note, plenty of people said it would only be a matter of time before Kim ends up 'with child' after her ex, Reggie Bush, announced his new girlfriend is expecting. And with Kanye's ex, Amber Rose, also expecting...the odds were stacked. And here we are. Congrats again to the couple. The twosome are making their way to Vegas today as Kim is set to host a big New Year's Eve party at 1Oak. And she's not cancelling on the 6-figure job. Happy baby-filled New Year! BONUS: Kanye went on another 5 minute rant during last night's concert as well. He talks about not being satisfied with his collective 18 Grammys because they're only in the "Black Categories" and wanting to be respected across the board. And a few other things.

Pick up your jaws and grab your sanity while you can. Because 2013 is about to be a DOOZY! That's right...Kim Kardashian is pregnant with Kanye West's baby. And it's been confirmed by multiple sources...including Kanye himself. Deets inside... Not one to be upstaged by any pregnant Duchesses, pregnant exes, or any other big news coming in 2013....Kim Kardashian is pregnant and Kanye West is the father. 35-year-old Kanye wrapped up his 3-night series of concerts at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City Sunday night....and that's where he decided to make the announcement to thousands of concert goers. Kim was in attendance as well. It's been confirmed by members of the Kardashian/Jenner family. 32-year-old Kim has gotten her wishes of having a baby before it's too late....and finding a man who worships her more than she worships herself. According to E! Online (non-coincidentally), the reality star is 12 weeks along. The mom to be tweeted pic of Kanye on stage yesterday and said, "Heaven." Now we know why. Her sis Khloe tweeted:

Kim and her legal team have reportedly been exhausting every option to get her divorce from Brooklyn Nets baller Kris Humphries finalized. And this baby on the way may just do the trick. And it doesn't hurt that she & 'Ye have solidified at least another couple of years in the spotlight by making a baby together. And solidified an eternal connection with each other.
After years of pregnancy rumors, it looks like both of the future parents' wishes have come true. Congrats to the couple. |
