With ten years under her belt, Fantasia is ready to take her music in a new direction. Find out about her upcoming project inside and hear Raheem Devaughn cover Chris Brown's "Please Don't Judge Me."
Hip Hollywood caught up with Fantasia recently on the STA 2012 red carpet where the singer revealed that after ten years in the music business, she feel's that now is the time to go in a different direction. She said, "I'm doing something different called rock soul." While listening her music influences like Elton John, Aerosmith and Billie Holiday, she said she doesn't want to feel boxed in with only R&B. But don't expect her rock music to push her too far away from her roots. She added, "I'm a soul singer. I sing what I go through." She says the new music should arrive in March 2013, but she doesn't want to rush it. And since she still seems to be "involved" with her married baby's father Antwaun Cook, she'll have a lot of emotional situations to sing about. Watch Fantasia's interview here: Also......

And she dishes on all things chocolate, how her pro-wrestler man is more strict on diet than she is, and more. Here are the highlights: On her fave indulgences ‘You have what you’re craving. ATL rapper Diamond recently rocked a smoking photoshoot where she burns through some of the negativity spewed her way. See the photos inside...
Former Crime Mob rapper Diamond recently posed for a few flicks in Atlanta where she "burns" through many of the negative comments that have been attached to her during her career....including "Homewrecker." Apparently that was a reference to the drama amongst her, Lil Scrappy and Erica Dixon back when Scrappy & Diamond were a couple. And according to Uptown Magazine, Soulja Boy and the rapstress are new additions to the "LAHH ATL" second season cast--even though Diamond denied being a cast member of the first season. So apparently we will get to hear her side of the story in the whole Lil' Scrappy/Erica drama.
Also, Ms. 32 Flavors recently signed on to become the face of Secret Kisses Lipstick where she'll put her good looks to use pushing the company's colors. She said, “I love make-up, every kind of make-up especially lipstick and lip gloss. Mariah Carey got into the Christmas spirit with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots yesterday. The crew rolled to an elementary school to borrow their instruments. Check out what happened when MiMi and kid instruments collide... Jimmy, his house band The Roots and Mariah Carey (in all red) all came together yesterday for a cute musical short involving school kids' instruments. Check out the crew making music with xylophones, recorders, chalk board dusters and more while MiMi does a fab performance of "All I Want For Christmas." With back up from some kiddies of course. Only Jimmy. Loves it! |

The official confirmation of the new cast has just been made for "Love & Hip Hop" NYC. And it's plenty of new folks and odd couples. Get the deets inside... Olivia is still trying to make a new album. She's also all about her basketball playing boyfriend Tarence Kinsey. And we'll see her working that out as well as trying to keep the peace with her long time manager Rich Dollaz while he simultaneously manages his new girlfriend...Erica Mena. Yep, Erica & Rich are now confirmed as a couple according to VH1. Which explains their shopping outing this week. So that ought to be interesting.
Two new faces will be rapper Consequence and his baby moms, radio personality Jen The Pen (pictured above with Exec. Producer Mona Scott Young). Yep, the same Jen The Pen that was ixnayed from Dame Dash's "Ultimate Hustler" reality show. The twosome will show their trials and tribulations as a couple as they co-parent their son Caiden. Fun fact: Consequence is Q-Tip's first cousin.
Yandy will be returning as she now has a baby boy, whose name is Omere. She and her live-in boyfriend/baby's daddy, Mandeecees, will be showing how they keep their romance going. All while balancing career and family.
Rapper Joe Budden has joined the cast with a Stevie J. like love triangle--his ex, video vixen Tahiry (pictured above), is on the show and so is Raqi Thunda, a DJ folks think he's getting down with on the side. They insist they're just long time friends, but Raqi and Tahiry are at each other's throats. By the way, Raqi, pictured below, is good friends with Joe's current girlfriend Kaylin Garcia.
Meanwhile, Fabolous' ex-assistant (who we saw having mad convos with Emily B. last season), Winter, will also be on the show. Apparently she's writing a tell-all about all her famous ex-boyfriends. Sigh. There was no mention of Kimbella returning in the press release, but here's a recent pic of her newest baby girl with Juelz Santana:

There were a whole lot of "Who" and "WTF" questions flying from our mouths as we wrote this, but whatevs. We'll be watching. The new season begins Monday, January 7th at 8PM on VH1. |

The Dream has revealed that Beyonce will release new music before her Super Bowl performance in Feburary. Meanwhile, her husband Jay-Z has released a short documentary about the concerts he performed to open the Barclays Center. Get more infomation inside....
When Beyonce (shown above in a new Tumblr photo) posted a few photo on her website referring to "Febuary 2013", fans couldn't decide if her "Countdown To Touchdown" referred to new music or her Super Bowl performance. And now...we know it's a little bit of both. Famed producer The Dream recently confirmed to Billboard that Beyonce started recording new music over the summer of 2012 and is gearing up to releasing some new music before her performance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2012. The Dream said he's been involved in every aspect of Bey's fifth studio album and, "She's already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out. I'm sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here." And with new music, a Super Bowl performance and an HBO documentary coming out, 2013 already the year of Beyonce! We're sure her fans can't wait. And in Jay-Z news..... Earlier today, JAY Z's Life+Times posted an unprecedented behind the scenes look at the creation of his Barclays Center opening concerts. Watch the film above. |

Pop star Chris Brown posted pics of himself smoking out with his friends during stop through Amsterdam. See the flicks inside and get deets on the River Island campaign Rihanna directed.
As his "Carpe Diem" tour treks through Europe, Chris Brown tooka break from dancing and smoked out with a few friends in Amsterdam.
Chris posted pics on Instagram of himself at a "coffee shop" in Amsterdam.
He and his crew seemed to enjoy the variety of "legal" herbs offered.
While smoking, Chris showed off his kicks.....
And the rest of the crew showed off their expensive bling. Also......
Chris' mother, Joyce Hawkins, was greeting by fans outside of the Conrad Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The fan were waiting for Chris to return following his show yesterday. The next stop for Chris is Antwerp, Belgium.
And.....
Chris' "friend" Rihanna spent yesterday directing and starring in her spring/summer campaign for retailer River Island (whose line she helped design). The shoot, held in LA, starred Jourdan Dunn along with Rihanna herself. She tweeted,
Though the "friends" aren't together now (due to work commitments) a source close to Rihanna says the singer compares their friendship to that of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. The source told Hollywood Life,

So...Walter Jackson, the man Kenya Moore has moved to the ATL for on "Real Housewives of Atlanta to get him to marry her, has been spotted with another chick lately. And the two are clearly more than just friends. We've learned the identity of the mystery chick. So is Walter playing two-timing games? Deets inside...
We did a little digging, and it turns out Mr. Walter Jackson has a rep in Atlanta for being a playboy. So when a pic surfaced a few weeks ago of him boo'd up at an Atlanta Hawks game with a chick who wasn't "RHOA" star Kenya Moore, tongues got to waggin'. Now, we've learned the identity of the chick in question, and she's aspiring singer/songwriter Christon Ingram. Christon showed folks that basketball game pic wasn't just a fluke by posting another pic of her and a Gucci hat wearing Walter sharing some kisses (above). Isn't that interesting? Whee asked about Walter stepping out with other women--like she was asked on "The Wendy SHow" last week--Kenya just says e have to watch to see what happens. I'm sure...
Meanwhile, Christin showed off her curves in her Instagram pics--since we all know, thanks to Kenya who made it known on this season's premiere, that he's a sucker for a big booty. Guess this works for him.

More shocking details have emerged in the Jovan Belcher murder/suicide including what will happen to his three-month-old daughter and what an allegedly drunken Jovan was doing the night before he murdered his girlfriend. Get more infomation inside.....
Though family members previously said that Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins had a happy relationship, more details have emerged, painting a very different picture of the couple's rocky times. As police are still trying to determine a motive for the murder-suicide, it's been revealed by sources close tot he couple that the couple had been arguing for months, and the Kansas City Chiefs team had been “bending over backward” to assist the couple with counseling. Kasandra's cousin, Angela Perkins, said Jovan's constant training and time away from home put a strain on the relationship. "There was just a lot going on. She was stressed. He was stressed. It just started to go bad, but they had the child, and they were trying to make it work." But as the case unfolds, it's now been revealed that Jovan spent the night before the murder dining with another woman. The NY Post reports that the professional footballer had a "boozy" dinner in downtown Kansas City with a woman named Brittni Glass. As far as what went on during dinner, Brittni told the NY Post, “I was with him that night, that’s it.” After the dinner, Jovan apparently returned home and had an argument with Kasandra around 1am (we told you earlier that Kasandra had spent the evening at a Trey Songz concert and Jovan was upset about her late arrival). An angered Jovan left the house following the argument and drove to Brittni's apartment where he seems to have fallen asleep in his car. Around 2:30am, he was awakened by the police (who received a phone about a man sleeping in a parked car) and he told them he was waiting on a friend. The police had him call Brittny and "someone" let him into the building. Later, two neighbors saw him knocking on Brittny's door (which oddly went unanswered) and they offered him the opportunity to sleep on one of their couches because he was in no condition to drive. He asked to be awakened at 6:30am because he had a team meeting to get to.
Jovan left Brittni's building around 6:45am and made the 10-minute drive home where he later shot Kasandra during an argument that happened around 7am. From there, he made the short drive to Arrowhead Stadium. Jovan reportedly told the Chief's General Manager Scott Piolo: "I did it. I killed her. I got to go. I can't be here." And before killing himself, he told Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel, "I have to do this." He then knelt behind a vehicle, made the sign of the cross and shot himself in the head. The Kansas City Star reports that Jovan's mother, Cheryl Shepherd, who witnessed her son shoot Kasandra, has temporary custody of the couple's 3-month-old Zoey Michelle Belcher. Both family's released statements about the tragic events. The Perkins family said,
And the Belcher family said, "As a family, no words can express the sorrow we feel over the loss of Jovan and Kasandra." |

Troubled comedian Katt Williams has announced that he's walking away from stand-up comedy. Well, according to an interview he did with a tv news station. See video of his tearful announcement inside.... With tears streaming down his face, Katt Williams announced on Seattle's KOMO News 4 that he is retiring from stand-up comedy. The statement comes on the heels of his arrest in Seattle after a string of fights with random people and an entire year of embarassing and violent outbursts. Looking worn and weary and barely like himself during the street interview, Katt says he's already discussed his decision with his kids before explaning, "I'm kinda done."

And the "Love & Hip Hop" cameras are rolling in NYC. Model Erica Mena (who came on board last season with a vengance by fighting Kimbella) was spotted shopping in the meatpacking distirct with her rumored booty buddy Rich Dollaz this week.
Check the pics of the twosome inside... They claim to only be "professional friends" and Rich is rumored to be working as Erica's manager/agent/whatever you want to call it. But the two seemed to be in deep convo about something more than business this week when both were spotted out shopping together this week in NYC..."Love & Hip Hop" cameras in tow:
