Miguel Set To Make "SNL" Debut + The OMG Girlz Make WAT-AAH WATER Cool For The Kids Posted: 12 Mar 2013 05:28 PM PDT Miguel just nabbed his best gig of the year--performing on "SNL."  Deets inside, plus how the OMG Girlz are doing some good for their young fans.... "Do You" singer Miguel was announced today as the musical guest for the April 13th episode of "SNL."  He'll be popping his SNL cherry alongside host Vince Vaughn. But the real question is....will be be belting out Chris Brown's fave song "Pu**y Is Mine"?  We shall see....   And in case you've been wondering what Tameka "Tiny" Cottle's girl group the OMG Girlz have been up to...the teen trio just signed on to do some good with First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign.  And they're doing it with the trendy branded water WAT-AAH!, a line of premium functional water for kids and teens, known for it's "cool + health" messaging. The OMG Girlz, (Officially Miss Guided), are the first of several teen celebrity brand ambassadors planned by WAT-AAH! for a multi-faceted, national TV, retail, print and digital campaign in 2013. And the girls are letting their fans know the skin and energy benefit of drinking water. You just gotta go with it.” On being a non-conformist: “I take risks, but I don’t think of it that way.” On his mother's influence on his attraction to clothes: “That’s where it all started...She used to shop for us growing up. But then it got to a point where I was so picky about my clothes that she stopped shopping for me. I had a sense of the style I was gravitating to. I worked for stuff I couldn’t afford.” On fashion's finer things: “Some people may be scared to wear something. I obviously don’t care.” On wearing glases with no lense: “No lenses at all. It’s my own flair, man. I know what looks right and what looks crazy.” On having an "eye" for what looks right: “It’s natural for me now. Trend-setting rappar A$AP Rocky posed for a shoot with "L'Uomo Vogue" shot by Francesco Carrozzini, where he talked to the magazine about growing up in Harlem and its influence on his style.  “I’ve always been interested in fashion, since when I was a kid and used to shop on 5th Avenue. But the real leap in quality occurred when I was 16 years old. I immediately loved Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci. Nevertheless, my approach has always been spontaneous, based on a sort of fashion sense that lets me blend haute couture with streetwear." He also commented on the changing scope of the hip hop industry and how it is influenced by fashion. "I want this period to be remembered as the ‘Platinum Age’ or ‘Diamond Age’. Currently, there’s a new artist movement that’s rewriting the rules of hip hop and I’m their leader, king, and emperor, that’s for sure. I’m the future of this genre”.   Despite his love of garments, A$AP said he won't be launching his own clothing line anytime soon.  “In the future I could cooperate with a brand. Beyond that, since I’m not a designer I prefer leaving that task to professionals and to focus on music...this is the dawn of a new movement."   And in the March 2013 issue of British GQ...... Is THIS Trinidad James' Son & Baby's Mama? Posted: 12 Mar 2013 12:48 PM PDT An interesting pic popped up on rapper Trinidad James' Instagram recently.  And it has folks thinking this is his son and baby moms that no one knew about.... He may look like Jerome reincarnated....but apparently, there's at least one chick out there who possibly had sex with him and procreated. The "All Gold Everything" rapper Instagrammed the above pic a little while after Valentine's Day saying, "Shout out to my homie and son my Patna !!! @kimpossible_7 x Junior!!! Thanks for being great friends" He calls the little boy in the pic his son, and @'s the woman in the pic as well.  He may call them "friends," but it may be way more than that as chick deleted her Instagram already.  Sounds like someone doesn't want certain things on blast more than they are. Micheal Jordan Paternity Case Heats Up -- Alleged Baby's Mama CHALLENGES Jordan's Request For Dismissal Posted: 12 Mar 2013 11:47 AM PDT And the drama continues with the woman claiming her teenaged son's father is Michael Jordan.  Pamela Smith, the mother of Michael Jordan’s alleged 16 year old son and Micheal (or his reps) just showed up at court today to pursue the paternity case.   Deets inside...   Both Pamela and Michael/his reps were due at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta at 2p ET today to pursue the paternity case Pamela has brought in regards to her 16-year-old son. Pamela has retained famed family attorney, Randy Kessler, whose name is synonymous with several high profile cases of divorce, paternity, custody, and domestic disputes.  And despite Michael seeking to dismiss all charges last week, and accusing Pamela of lying, Kessler is confident that today’s proceedings will not result in the dismissal that Jordan is seeking. Kessler tells us that Jordan simply needs to take the paternity test to resolve the dispute.  And he said in a statement on Monday: “We are honored to have been asked to represent Ms. Smith who has been unable to resolve this matter herself. The vicious statements made in Mr. Jordan's legal documents will be responded to in her own forthcoming pleadings, but at this time Ms. Smith wants to be clear. Her former husband Mr. Reynolds has not been involved in her child's life since the divorce in 2005, has never paid support for the child and has shown no interest in the child. And Pam's lawyer also struck back at Jordan's team for accusing her of keeping the child from her ex-husband: "The claims by Respondent's counsel that ‘It is troubling that Smith now inflicts measurable harm upon her son while seeking to deprive her son's father Reynolds, of the rights and privileges of joint legal custody’ are completely unfounded and meant only to disparage her. Our client feels that Mr. Jordan had numerous opportunities to resolve this matter by having a simple conversation with her. If he claims he is not the father, a simple $300 saliva test could likely resolve the issue instead of further court or public involvement.” Hopefully Maury shows up today too....

Sean Kingston has dropped a new track called "Beat It" featuring his best friend Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa.  The song will appear on Sean's Back 2 Life disc.  He tweeted about the track saying, “Much love to all my fans!! CELEBRITY HACK JOB UPDATE: More Details Released On "Doxxing" & Celebrity Financial Info Leak Posted: 12 Mar 2013 09:45 AM PDT When reports hit the net yesterday that A list celebs and politicians had their financial info leaked online, more deets have come out about why and how. Check it inside... Jay-Z, Beyonce, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Donald Trump and more are currently dealing with a MAJOR security leak.  Yesterday, their social security numbers, credit reports, bank reports and more were all leaked on a website yesterday, and the FBI says they are taking it VERY seriously. But some type of way, a day later, the site is STILL up and running. Some weren't sure about the validity of all the info released, but it seems LAPD has gotten to the bottom of it.  But unfortunately, it also sounds like the info is valid---and is STILL public. Today, the LA Police chief, the FBI director, Michelle Obama and a few others were also exposed on the site.  And the authorities say this is all a result of a new prank called "Doxxing." OMG Yahoo reports: The FBI also explained that this latest hoax is called "doxxing," which means "the process of obtaining or deducing information about a person based on a limited set of initial information," and that the bureau has had experience dealing with it before. The LAPD issued the following statement Monday evening: "LAPD detectives are investigating the recent disclosure of Chief Beck's personal information. Apparently this is not necessarily a hacking incident. It is called 'Doxxing' ... This has happened to the Chief on two other occasions prior to this in a similar nature post Occupy LA. We are not at liberty to discuss the others mentioned in the web post. There will be no further comments or press conference on this matter." Now, TMZ reports the hackers are doing this to USE their financial info in some way. The hackers who obtained Michelle Obama's financial records -- along with some of the biggest celebs in the world -- aren't just seeking recognition ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ they have been "using" the credit information. Our sources would not be specific on how the information has been used, but it could involve access and withdrawal of money. As we previously reported, the hackers have obtained personal banking information as well as social security numbers and that could be enough to obtain withdrawals of cash. The FBI has also issue severe warnings to all hack victims to lock down their bank accounts NOW before any money is stolen.  And if you're wondering why entertainment sites are refusing to give the name of the website, it's mainly because no one wants to be charged for aiding in a federal crime.   The downside of celeb life...

Angela Bassett, June Ambrose, Rachel Roy & More Hit The "Olympus Has Falling" NYC Screening Posted: 12 Mar 2013 08:00 AM PDT Angela Bassett, June Ambrose and more rolled to the screening and afterparty for Angela's brand new movie, "Olympus Has Fallen," in NYC.  We've got the pics of the YBF folks who came out to support inside.... The Cinema Society with Roger Dubuis and Grey Goose hosted last night's screening of FilmDistrict's Olympus Has Fallen flick.   The stars hit up the Tribeca Grand Hotel for the screening, then headed over to The Darby for the official afterparty. Director Antoine Fuqua, actor Courtney B. Vance, actor Gerard Butler, actress Angela Bassett, and filmmaker Oren Moverman all posed it up at the afterparty.   Angela's looking so fab lately.  Motherhood and a hot career are doing wonders for her. She snapped pics with co-star Gerald Butler and her director Antoine Fuqua. And, of source, her huby Courtney B. Vance. Stylist June Ambrose rocked a super cute black and white striped frock straight off the Black Halo Fall 2013 Runway.  And paired her look with sexy strappy Tom Ford shoes.   Angela and June snapped pics with brand strategist Marvet Britto. Antoine Fuqua brought his actress wife (of 14 years!) Lela Rochon out to the event with their 3 kids: Cute!      Fashion designer Rachel Roy kept it simple yet cute in grey slacks and sparkling peach shoes. Shot in Savannah, GA, her love interested is played by Guitar Slayer. She told Rap-Up, “The video is set in all white and I just think the fashion is beautiful and the story line is beautiful and sweet. I’m wearing mostly white this year just because I feel I’m in the best space I’ve ever been. And I think white exemplifies that pure feeling.”   Also in music videos..... Trey Songz is still dropping singles off his successful disc, Chapter V. The latest, "Fumble" is a song he described to Billboard as "...a song about having the one person that’ll do whatever for you, the one person that’ll go to the end of the world and back, and you not realizing it until it’s damn near too late. SXSW FAB: Solange Knowles PERFORMS Live At Arlyn Studios + The Roots HIT THE STAGE For Samsung Galaxy Posted: 11 Mar 2013 01:26 PM PDT Solange Knowles and The Roots both took their acts on the road to perform down in Austin, Texas as part of the techie and indie SXSW conference and festival. Watch her performance inside and see pics of The Roots hitting the stage too...  Solange Knowles was spotted in Austin yesterday where she hit the press line and helped Nokia Music and Verizon launch the Late Night at Arlyn Studios Concert Series.  Chick loves her colors and polka dots.  This look was from one of her fave designers, Marni. Solange hit the stage at Raptor House for a 45-min set which incuding the hit "Losing You" and other tracks from her TRUE ep. Nokia will also present the Roc Nation at Raptor House Concert Series in Austin, Texas from March 11th - March 14th.  Meanwhile, Solange is currently on tour with TRUE. Watch Solange's set here:   In other SXSW news.... ' The Roots were also in Austin for SXSW where they performed at an event for Samsung Galaxy with Band of Horses. In a beautiful pair of black and white photos shot by Bradford Rogne, Ciara looks stunning on the double cover of Annex magazine’s 2013 "Diane" issue. Inside the mag, she talked about the release of her buzz-worthy track, "Body Party," (dropping on iTunes March 12),  her boo Future and how her upcoming album, One Woman Army, reveals her vulnerable side. Here are some highlights: About One Woman Army “I am approaching this record in a different way than I have any other project before. While recording “One Woman Army” I have been running towards my fears and allowing myself to be vulnerable in many ways; for the first time I allowed myself to be completely open in the music making process. I can honestly say this is the most fun that I’ve ever had making an album.” Ciara’s inspirations “I really love listening to artists like Lana Del Ray, Kendrick Lamar, Drake just to name a few.
