Hottie Laz Alonso Rocks XEX Fashion Magazine Posted: 22 Mar 2013 09:05 AM PDT "Deception" star Laz Alonso is flexing his sexiness for the cover and pages of fashion, art, design, bizarre publication XEX Magazine's first Men's Edition.  Check out his newest spread inside... A second season of "Deception" may be a bit iffy, thanks to low ratings in its premiere season on NBC, but Laz remains hot and not bothered.  The Cuban-American actor rocks Yves St. Laurent, Edwing D'Angelo, & Christian Dior in this espionage themed editorial shot by photographer Sailey Williams, in Vietnamese restaurant Ah Nhau. For his cover story, Laz discussed his role as FBI Agent Moreno in "Deception," working with Megan Good, his acting philosophy and why he would rather "inspire" than set trends. Toya Wright and her friend Shaneka Adams partied with The Gidewon Group and Jacob York Presents at the one night only event last night.     Buckeey broke away from trying to land another spot on the new season of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" long enough to attend. T.I. performed for the crowd and introduced new music.  He also performed an exclusive remix to Drake’s single “Started From the Bottom”. Jennifer Hudson performed at the first annual Amy Winehouse Foundation Inspiration Awards and Gala at The Waldorf Astoria in New York last night and rocked a body hugging white dress which accentuated her ample bosom and tiny waist line.  The Weight Watchers spokeswoman paired her look with tricky white pumps--one of the trendy colors of spring.   The "Smash" star, who's all set to play a dramatic role in Lifetime's upcoming movie about mental illness Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, made a bold white statement during her performance and presentation. SPEAKING OUT: Lil' Wayne Releases Video Saying, "I'm More Than Good" + Promotes Upcoming Tour With T.I. Posted: 22 Mar 2013 06:10 AM PDT Lil' Wayne taped a message for concerned fans to let them know he is doing well and appreciates the love.  And he only sent it to the site he's been beefing with.  Watch what he said inside and see rapper T.I. drop in to show some support AND promote their upcoming tour....   In a video made for TMZ, and directed by DJ Scoob Doo, Lil' Wayne shot a taped message for his fans (taped Wednesday night at 11:30pmPT) in response to all the rumors about his hospitalization and alleged drug overdose. Lil' Tunechi starts off the clip with some Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation-realness where he counts down "5-4-3-2-1" and thanks his fans for all of the love and support they showed while he was in the hospital.  "I just want to say thank you to all ya'll for ya'll prayers and your concerns and all that. I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that mother----in' hospital bed. I want all ya'll to know that I'm good ... more than good."  Then he announced that his album, I Am Not A Human Being II, will still drop on March 26. He was then joined by T.I. and the fellas used the moment to promote their upcoming tour, which will kick off on July 5, saying, "Get you some barbecue on the 4th and holla at us on the 5th." Then before he got up to leave, Weezy looked at the camera and said.  "Kiss my fist."  And in his most vulnerable moment on tape, he said, "I'm more than good. But thank you for real. Thank you to all ya'll out there for your prayers. I'm more than good. I swear to God, thank you." And whatever was going on in the hotel room (prior to shooting the video) had both of their Southern drawls dialed up to level 10!  The last part of the video will be hard to understand for folks who grew up above the Mason Dixon line.  But for what it's worth, Lil' Tunechi is back! Malcolm Jamal Warner SPLITS With "Heartbroken" Regina King + Rick Ross, Tyga & Allen Iverson Cover XXL/SLAM’s ‘Kings of the Game’ Issue Posted: 21 Mar 2013 04:44 PM PDT One of Hollywood's most fab & under the radar couples, Malcolm Jamal Warner and Regina King, have split. More details inside and see Rick Ross, Tyga and Allen Iverson cover both XXL and SLAM’s ‘Kings of the Game’ Issue.....   Actors Malcolm Jamal Warner and "Southland" star Regina King are on the outs...and it seems like it was Malcolm's decision.  A source close to the couple confirmed the split to US Weekly saying, "He said he wasn't feeling it anymore."  Damn. The two celebs have been friends since their early days in Hollywood as child actors (Malcolm was on "The Cosby Show" and Regina starred on "227"), but now things have gone south.  Though it took the couple a long time to confirm their relationship, often avoiding paparazzi pics together, the relationship seems to have soured rather abruptly.  Malcolm has allegedly asked Regina and her young son (from her marriage to Ian Alexander Jr.) to move out of the home they shared. The source added, "She's still very brokenhearted."   And in magazines.......  XXL and SLAM have joined forces for their first collaborative issue which puts hip hop and basketball (as well as corporate sponsor Reebok) front and center. It's called the "Kings of the Game" issue and features Rick Ross, Tyga and Allen Iverson on the cover.  All three are spokesmen and creators for Reebok.  The issue hits magazine racks in New York this weekend and the rest of the country next week. ROLL THE TAPE: Too Short Literally RUNNING From The Cops, Plus He Says The Drugs "Weren't His" (VIDEO) Posted: 21 Mar 2013 04:28 PM PDT If you need to end your day with some sh*ts and giggles, check out Too Short caught on tape running from the cops inside... We reported yesterday that Too Short was arrested when he tried to run from the cops after getting popped for a DUI. Now, there's footage. Check it below: This dude thought this was a "Cops" audition. Meanwhile, Too Short says the drugs (which may be Meth laced with Ecstasy) found in the backseat of the police car he rose to jail in, are not his.  But cops are pinning a drug possession charge on him.  TMZ reports: Short's rep, David Weintraub, tells TMZ ... the rapper was clean in the drug department, adding, "Short was diligently searched and cuffed prior to being placed in the disgustingly filthy patrol car." And the rep goes on ... "It was 3 AM, the cop car smelled like vomit and was littered with remnants from prior arrests of the evening." Translation: A miscreant with a penchant for meth dropped his load in the backseat. But LAPD cops tell us ... the protocol is to thoroughly search the patrol car -- including the backseat -- after every arrest. As for why Too Short fled on foot after he was initially suspected of DUI, the rep tells us, "In the past, Short, like many others, has been mistreated by law enforcement and these unfortunate prior incidents led to the complications after the stop." His rep also said, "Any assertion that Short was carrying powder is ridiculous! Every rap fan knows Short's into weed."  Somebody give that man a raise...for the stupidest statement from a PR rep in 2013.   Extras: 1.  Real from VH1's "Real Chance of Love" has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.  His family has set up a fund to assist with medical bills.  LINK

PREGGERS WATCH: Monica Brown EXPECTING?! Posted: 21 Mar 2013 01:55 PM PDT Tamar Braxton, Kanye's baby mama, and LaTavia Roberson may not be the only ones welcoming new babies soon.  We've officially put Monica Brown on Preggers Watch.  Find out why inside...   We received a tip from a credible source close to Monica and husband Shannon Brown about a month ago, who revealed to TheYBF.com that Monica was expecting.  The singer wasn't showing at the time.  But fast forward to this past Sunday's Jazz In the Gardens weekend in Hollywood, FL:   After hitting the stage and giving a performance where she was obviously attempting to cover her belly, the "It All Belongs To Me" singer hit the press room.  And the fab chick did that instinctive mom-to-be move with her hand covering her belly almost the entire time. SPEAK ON IT: Black Model On Naomi Campbell's "The Face" Says She DOES NOT Identify As A Black Model Posted: 21 Mar 2013 12:00 PM PDT On Naomi Campbell's Oxygen reality show, "The Face" one model was asked if she identified as a "black" model, which made us wonder if the question of race should factor into how we view our jobs.  Speak on it inside.... On this week's episode of "The Face," Wendy Williams interviewed the remaining models.   She asked contestant Devyn about how her race played a factor in the modeling.  When the model seemingly dismissed race as a factor, and Naomi was heard going off in the background, it made us want to ask if we should view our careers through the scope of race.  On the show, their exchange went as follows: Wendy: Is it hard to be a black girl model? Devyn: I don't really consider myself to be a black girl model. I mean, I know what my ethnicity is, but I'm fair-skinned and I feel like I have an international look. Wendy: So you don't feel black. Devyn: No, that's not what I said, whatsoever. Naomi Campbell (in the wings): What the f*ck does she mean? That's a disgrace! She's a black girl.   Devyn's answer does raise an interesting question.  Does race play a part in the professional roles we play?  Is it offensive that Devyn just wants to be viewed as a "model" rather than a "black model"?  Or is it offensive that she's dismissing being black as if it will be a negative strike against her? Cassie Shoots "Paradise" Video With Wiz Khalifa, Karrueche & Diddy + Jennifer Lopez HITS THE STUDIO With Chris Brown Posted: 21 Mar 2013 09:36 AM PDT Cassie was spotted shooting the "Paradise" video yesterday with Diddy, Wiz Khalifa and Karrueche Tran in tow.  See pics from the set inside and find out what Jennifer Lopez and Chris Brown are working on.... Now that her "RockAByeBaby" trailer is out, Cassie is shooting the video for her upcoming "Paradise" single.  Yesterday, she was spotted doing a scene with her new BFF Karrueche Tran.      The clip will also feature Cassie chilling on the steps of an LA home with rapper Wiz Khalifa (who's featured on the track) and a few of her homies. And Bad Boy president and Cassie's boo, Diddy (shown above in his grey slacks), managed to stop by the shoot and offer his support.  Of course.  Other visitors to the set included Wiz's baby mama Amber Rose (who recently gave birth), Problem, Jeremih, and Da Internz. Cassie tweeted, “Just wrapped an amazing video with @wizkhalifa !! Dope shiiii #RockaByeBaby”   And in the studio..... Jennifer Lopez had a late-night recording session with Chris Brown and producer Cory Rooney tweeting, “#studiolife #makinghistory #Album10 #SAMEGIRL.”   You'll recall that Cory was behind the hit "Jenny From The Block" and was recently spotted in the studio with J Lo and rapper Future.  It seems like he will be overseeing several tracks from Jenny's upcoming 10th album.  He tweeted,  “Shit got real serious up in here tonight…”  We shall see....
