| The Amazing Spider-Man Frozen Out Of The Box Office By An Ice Age! Posted: 15 Jul 2012 12:40 PM PDT Once again, the children are DOMINATING the box office! Or at least their movies are! While The Amazing Spider-Man has hit the $200 million domestic mark - as well as way past $500 million worldwide - the action flick could not maintain its number one spot in the box office, and was bumped to two in its second week released by none other than the latest Ice Age movie, Continental Drift! That's right! The fourth installment kicked off with a whopping $46 million! Impressive! Guess Drake and Nicki's voices went on to Make Me Proud! Ha! | The Man Of Steel Is HERE! First Poster…And When To Expect The Trailer! Posted: 15 Jul 2012 12:20 PM PDT We'll give you a pretty RAD hint: it's coming a HELLUVA lot sooner than you think! Although Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman adaptation, Man of Steel, will not be hitting theaters until June of 2013, the director apparently brought ALL KINDS of incredible promotional fun to the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International film festival over the weekend, as well as the flick's first official teaser poster! Ch-ch-check it out (above)! He explains:

And while EVERYONE is buzzing about the EXTREMELY well-received footage that debuted there, fans who weren't able to be present at the panel won't have to wait too long to see it for themselves! | J. Lo And Steven Tyler Were FIRED From American Idol! And What Does Randy Jackson Have To Say? Posted: 15 Jul 2012 11:40 AM PDT WELL. This certainly must have been AWKWARD! Although it had been initially presumed that both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler turned down offers to return for another season of American Idol this fall, new reports have surfaced that reveal quite the opposite, in fact: they were FIRED! According to sources close to production, who are pretty much confirming what we all already knew to be true - while J. Lo was attempting to re-negotiate her contract for a pay bump from $15 to $17 million for a third year on the reality competition, she was FLOORED when the network did not make a counter-offer and instead chose to let her go! And poor Steven didn't even get that far - his just didn't have his option picked up for another season! Meanwhile, the sole judge standing (for now, anyway) Randy Jackson says:
Aww! Well, they might be continuing those friendships off-stage sooner than he anticipates, because at least TWO of Fox's execs are ready to cut him loose, with only host Ryan Seacrest being the last man standing! Yeesh! Between all of this and the news of the budget cuts, we think it's going to be a very TENSE few weeks for producers as they attempt to salvage the show before it returns this fall! | What Happened To Sage Stallone? Posted: 15 Jul 2012 11:20 AM PDT We wonder if we'll ever know exactly what was going on with this young man before this awful tragedy occurred. Sylvester Stallone's son, Sage, was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home this past Friday, and while many reports have detailed that the 36-year-old was surrounded by pill bottles and liquor in his bedroom, where his body may have been untouched for over three days, a variety of sources have come forward, maintaining very DIFFERENT accounts of what could have happened. Stallone's lawyer, George Braunstein, has claimed that despite allegations that his client's body being possibly dead for several days before discovery, he had posted photos of himself at home only 17 hours before being found! Furthermore, he maintains that Sage wasn't even a drinker, let alone interested in pills! He says:
However, Robert Rhine, the editor-in-chief of Girls and Corpses and who photographed Sage back in May for the publication, tells an entirely different, much darker story. According to him, the young man took 45 minutes to answer his door, and when he did, he was clearly on something, and acting "very similar to Ozzy Osbourne." The house was a mess, and apparently, he even tried taking photos with the lens cap still on. Rhine concludes:
Inneresting...because sources with law enforcement claimed that his neighbors held the exact same sentiment when they found out what happened. So incredibly sad. We suppose at this point the only thing anyone can do is wait until the coroner has concluded the autopsy, which just began today, to determine the cause of death. So incredibly sad. | Posted: 15 Jul 2012 10:20 AM PDT Good lord! Get ready for your MINDS to be BLOWN, Marvel fans! Because your expanded universe is about to get a whole lot BIGGER! During yesterday's Marvel Studios panel at Comic Con in San Diego, President Kevin Feige announced that the upcoming, Alan Taylor-directed sequel to Thor shall be following the previously announced Iron Man 3 (May 3rd, 2013) with a November 8th, 2013 release date...and be titled Thor: The Dark World! Why is the world so dark, you ask? The film will reportedly involve "a major, major new antagonist" And that's not even CLOSE to all the gossip goodness! Because after that, Captain America 2, now with the subtitle The Winter Soldier and described as "most closely associated with Avengers," will be released a few months later on April 4th, 2014! Ch-ch-check out the just-released logos for the sequels (above)! Speaking of Avengers... One would assume after all that excitement, we'd be getting news about the much-anticipated sequel to the super-friends-fest, but no no no! Marvel Studios is STILL EXPANDING, as two more projects were announced in the pipeline: ANOTHER super-hero ensemble film based on the comic series Guardians of the Galaxy, which is expected August 1st, 2014, AND Edgar Wright's Ant-Man, which he's currently co-writing with Joe Cornish! AH-MAZING! We can't get over how intricate and massive this entire franchise is becoming! But with the amount of talent and commitment to the source material being put into it, we just know it's only going to get better as it grows! | Uh-Oh! American Idol Is Looking To DOWNSIZE For Its New Season! Posted: 15 Jul 2012 09:40 AM PDT Well, this certainly doesn't calm any nerves that folks may have now that Jennifer Lopez AND Steven Tyler have called it quits! Remember how we reported that American Idol producers have been looking to 'revamp' the series for its upcoming 12th season? Well, apparently, that means massive cuts to budget, staff, AND salaries when the reality competition returns this fall! According to reports, the weak ratings from last year are the cause of the need to reduce costs, as its ad revenue will no doubt be affected by the 25% drop! Furthermore, sources reveal that now that two-thirds of their judges panel is now gone - AND Randy Jackson most likely on his way out - producers are scrambling to replace them...but that certainly can't be easy now that they're trying to cut back on spending! Can't snag big name stars - and BIG ratings - if you can't afford to pay their salary! Yeesh! This sounds like a MESS! But hey! Perez is STILL available! Just saying! Ha! What do U think?? | Bruce Springsteen And Paul McCartney Perform Together At London's Hard Rock Calling…And Get Cut Off! Posted: 15 Jul 2012 09:20 AM PDT It doesn't matter if this was a once in lifetime occasion! In London, a curfew MEANS a curfew! And unfortunately for Bruce Springsteen, who was joined on stage by none other than Sir Paul McCartney during his headlining performance at London's Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park last night, he learned that the hard way! The duo, who are living legends in their own rights respectively, managed to ROCK OUT two INCREDIBLE renditiions of I Saw Her Standing There and Twist and Shout together before concert organizers pulled the plug...which meant they weren't even allowed to thank the crowd! LAME! Ch-ch-ch-check it all go down (above)! Although the Boss nor the former Beatle have spoken out about it all, the E Street Band's Steven Van Zandt took to Twitter afterwards to blow off some steam:
We certainly can't blame him! ESPECIALLY since they were willing to do one more number! And now, we'll sadly never know what that was! Gah! But hey! Obviously, it was still an AH-MAZING show that will definitely be one for the history books, and we're just glad that they got to at least perform together for a little bit! The former Spy Kids actress has officially filed for divorce from her 36-year-old husband of 650 days, Sean Covel! According to legal documents, the union is dunzo due to irreconcilable differences, and they've been separated since March 5th, 2012! Sad! We wonder what went sour?? Hang in there, gurl!
