| Warner Bros. Canceling Dark Knight Screenings? Posted: 20 Jul 2012 12:50 PM PDT Oh no! In light of the horrific shooting that occurred at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado early Friday morning, execs over at Warner Bros. are considering canceling The Dark Knight Rises screenings all across the United States. Apparently, a decision will be made either today or this weekend by the entertainment juggernaut as to whether action is needed. It seems WB execs have been holed up in their Burbank offices since early Friday, closely monitoring the disturbing situation, and they have already decided to cancel the film's highly anticipated Paris premiere. While the mass-killing is an isolated incident, we're sure there are some feeling a little wary about going to see the epic third installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, so we guess it would be smart to cut showings, simply for piece of mind. So tragic. So senseless. |

American Idol may be gearing up for its twelfth season, but that doesn't mean the show's very FIRST winner doesn't have some input to give on the show's judging panel fiasco! Kelly Clarkson just wrapped up her first season as a mentor on ABC's Duets and has since expressed NO interest in filling the seats Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler left behind! Kelly recently confessed:
We definitely agree...and Kelly makes SUCH a great mentor! So just who WOULD she want to see as an Idol judge?? None other than season four winner, Carrie Underwood, of course! When Carrie was suggested, Clarkson responded:
Underwood graduated from Northeastern State University in her homestate of Oklahoma back in 2006, with a degree in mass communications, with a journalism emphasis! Although the two may be battling it out for the Idol singer with the best-selling single, it's nice to know that they still remain supportive of their Idol fam! Following the tremendously devastating acts of violence committed by James Holmes in Colorado last night, both President Obama and Mitt Romney paused their political campaigns to shared their condolences with the victims and their loved ones. There are no earthly words to describe the pain everyone involved is going through. We're just so thankful the police in Aurora acted as quickly as they did. | Colorado Shooting: New Details Revealed Posted: 20 Jul 2012 11:50 AM PDT The first official press conference concerning Dark Knight Rises shooter James Holmes just concluded, providing new information on the devastating, fatal occurrence in an Aurora, CO movie theatre Thursday evening. Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates revealed that James Eagan Holmes, dressed in full ballistic gear, appeared in theater #9 at the Century 16 movie theatres and set off two devices that spewed some kind of irritant or smoke into the crowd. The first 911 calls flooded local stations at 12:39am MST, with police responding within a minute to a minute of a half, where they encountered Holmes near his white Hyundai in the Theatre's back parking lot. 71 people were shot. 10 victims died on-scene, while 2 died in area hospitals. Many patients are still in critical condition. Police found four weapons in total, three inside the movie theater: an AR 15 Assault Rifle, a Remington 12 gauge shotgun, and 40 cal glock handgun. Another 40 cal glock handgun was found in the James' Hyundai. When questioned, James Holmes alluded to explosives in his North Aurora apartment, located at 1690 paris street, and upon further investigation authorities discovered the apt was "booby-trapped" with various incendiary and chemical devices connected by apparent trip wires. It could take hours or days to safely handle the situation, as the 'sophisticated' setup is something unfamiliar. 5 buildings, including the apartment complex in question, have been evacuated. As far as motive goes, or theories as to how James entered the theater are currently NOT being discussed by officials. We are still reeling from this deplorable act. It all came down to J Rome and John Glosson of Team Jennifer Nettles and Jason Farol from Team Kelly Clarkson, with J Rome taking home the crown! A frontrunner from the get-go, J Rome stole America's hearts with his silky smooth voice and the stage presence of a star!! Check out J Rome's winning moment and his celebratory performance of Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered (above)!! We really loved the feel-good element of the show and think it proved to be a GREAT first season! Congratz to J Rome and Jennifer!!! |
| Colorado Gunman James Holmes Was NOT Dressed As The Joker Posted: 20 Jul 2012 11:25 AM PDT Even more information is coming out about Colorado Dark Knight shooter, James Holmes, who officials are reporting as "deranged." Earlier, ABC News reported that New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly had stated that Holmes told police that he was The Joker and had his hair painted red. In a press conference this afternoon, Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates would NOT comment on the Joker claims, but said Holmes WAS clad in FULL bulletproof clothing. Holmes went as far as protecting himself with a ballistic helmet, vest, throat protector, gas mask and black tactical gloves, before shooting 71 people and killing 12. Mass-murderer James Holmes who opened fire on movie-theater goers at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado is currently in police custody, but his apartment is supposedly riddled with potentially explosive devices! A Fireman on-scene at the North Aurora, CO apartment complex has divulged that photographs from within Homes' third-floor apartment portray various bottles filled with mysterious liquid connected by wires and other volatile items throughout the home. Police have already made sweeps throughout the complex, but the explosive experts at the location are preparing to send in a bomb-squad robot very soon. Scary scary stuff.
