Did you miss LL Cool J's interview with Oprah last night? We've got you covered. Check it inside... LL Cool J appeared on "Oprah's Next Chapter" last night where he talked about how he learned the power of forgiveness from his family (his father shot both his mother and grandfather), why he turned his back on the street life (he says he knew there was something better out there than drugs), and the abuse he suffered from his step-father (he says he never let him get in his head). He also talked about that groupie life.
He talked about battling a home intruder saying, "There’s no telling what could have happened. He had bad intentions." And when joined by wife, Simone, they both said they had an "awesome" marriage. Next up for LL, he'll host host the Grammy Awards on February 10 and his Authentic Hip Hop, is due later this year. |

Well that's one way to kick off your 37th birthday. Rapper Rick Ross was involved in a major shoot out just hours ago. While riding in the passenger seat of his Rolls Royce, he was a victim of a drive by shooting and a subsequent crash into a building. Deets inside....
Somebody has it OUT for Ricky Rozay! Around 5am this morning, while leaving his own birthday party at LIV, Miami rapper Rick Ross was riding in the passenger seat of his silver Rolls Royce in Ft. Lauderdale when someone opened fire on the vehicle, the Huffington Post confirmed via Ft. Lauderdale Police. As his vehicle was getting sprayed with bullets, the Rolls crashed into a nearby apartment building around the busy Los Olas Avenue. According to Ft. Lauderdale's 7 News station, who were on the scene at 4th St. and 15th Ave., police are still on the scene investigating. The manager of the nearby Floridian restaurant confirmed the car was shot at, and so was his restaurant. Witnesses say there were up to 15 shots fired. Ricky is believed to be inside said restaurant at this moment still speaking to police. No word on if he suffered any injuries. NBC Miami confirms that the shots indeed came from another vehicle, which signals this was a drive by. No suspects have been named. Story developing... |

Check the pics, plus her giving her pixie cut a night out at the club.... RIh Ri is back to the short cropped 'do as she removed the longer blonde weave last night. The singing diva snapped some almost naked pics for her Instagram followers, and then headed out to the club. And while her sometimes lover Chris Brown was fighting at Westlake studio, she was across town partying it up at MyStudio:

Apparently there's no parking at the studio as a big misunderstanding in an LA parking lot put both Chris Brown and Frank Ocean in the middle of a six-man fight. Deets inside... Chris Brown might have been one of the few artists to speak nicely & publicly about Frank Ocean's "coming out" a few months ago, but no kind words were spoken yesterday in LA as the two men and their crews engaged in a nasty battle at the studio. Though sources from both sides insist the "other" group started the fight, TMZ reports that Chris and his crew were leaving (or trying to leave) Westlake Studio when they were "blocked" by Frank and his friends. Allegedly, Frank (who's performing at the 2013 Grammys) said, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot." What is this? You Got Served, the studio version? One report says Chris tried to shake Frank's hand as a peace offering but someone from Frank's crew hit Chris. From there, one of Chris' friends hit the guy that attacked Chris and a fight between all of the men jumped off. During the brawl, Frank allegedly came at Chris and Chris responded by pushing him away. And then they started brawling. At least that's one way the story has been told.... Though we're sure Chris will say Frank started it and vice versa, LAPD is calling Frank "the victim" because he's the one who stayed around to talk to the cops (Chris left the scene). Sigh. As of now, no charges have been filed and there were no arrests...but the cops would like to talk to Chris. SMH....And you might recall what happened the last time cops "talked" to Chris before the 2009 Grammys.... Though both artists are infamous for their Twitter rants, only Frank has spoken up about the fight where he says it will impact his Grammy performance.
By the way, Chris has a verbally violent history with Frank & Odd Future. Guess this is what happens when people take Twitter to the streets.
*UPDATE* Chris was in the studio with his new artist Sevyn Streeter and Timbaland and several others around the time of the brawl. He posted a pic of himself, Sevyn, singer Eric Bellinger, Mario, singer/producer RoccStar, and artist Sabrina Antoinette. He posted the pic post-fight just 3 hours ago saying, "Working on my album. Not working on negativity. Focus on feeding ya family. Bullshit will forever be in the shadows." |

"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington stood out on a red carpet full of black gowns at tonight's 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. We've got her stunning look and who else hit the carpet inside...
Kerry described her look as "Olivia Pope white" while talking to E! on tonight's 2013 SAG Awards red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. She rocked a two-piece Rodarte gown complete with a split V quilted top and flowing white bottom with a lace hem. She accessorized with a silver box Judith Leiber clutch and Fred Leighton diamond earrings for the occasion. And we love the formality of the look.
About when she nabbed her SAG card, she revealed it was years ago saying, "The ABC after school special "Magical Makeover" is what earned me my SAG card and I'm back here at ABC still. I think I was a cheerleader in it. I'm like 80% sure."
"Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Rocsi Diaz looked modelesque in her strapless ivory and black lace Mandalay dress and XIV Karats jewels:

A solo Jordin Sparks whipped out a curve hugging, Grecian inspired royal blue Nicole Miller Atelier gown for the big red carpet:

"Access Hollywood" corespondent Shaun Robinson kept it colorful in this one shoulder blue and pink chiffon gown.
"Mad Men" actress Teyonah Parris rocked her natural look and looked gorgeous in a one shoulder lilac ML Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2012 Collection gown.
She recently starred in Lifetime's remake of "Steel Magnolias" (which she's nominated for tonight) and is set to star in the upcoming film with Brad Pitt, Twelve Years A Slave. Atlanta saw a star studded red carpet at last night's 2013 Trumpet Awards. YBF celebs like Fantasia, Eva Marcille, Tika Sumpter and more put on their Saturday best to impress the masses. And they didn't disappoint (well, not everyone did). We've got the pics inside....
Photographer Paras Griffin caught celebs making their red carpet appearance at last night's Trumpet Awards at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. And we're pleasantly surprised to see Fantasia looking amazing in this Ralph Lauren stark white knee high slit column gown with a subtle neck cut out. And she paired it with white Giuseppe jeweled pumps. White is definitely her color as the singer accessorized with silver sparkling jewels on her wrist and on her earrings. Great look for her.
And while Fanny showed off her fresh curves, "R&B Divas" star Nicci Gilbert also showed up in a blue longsleeved satin-like gown for the ocassion.
Model and reality starlet Eva Marcille worked the carpet in a slinky black long sleeved gown:
Simple always works for her.
Tika Sumpter looked like a doll in her black gown with a leather bustier.
The rest of the R&B Divas were also in tow:
KeKe Wyatt and her husband Michael hit the carpet with Charlie Wilson.
Syleena Johnson and her husband Kiwane Garris looked nice.
And Monifa kept it colorful in her yellow satin dress and blue heels as she hit the carpet with girlfriend Terez.
Chaka Khan is still looking slim and trim as she matched the carpet in this red lace concoction.
"Big Rich Atlanta" star Sharlinda Parker kept it simple in a chocolate pleated dress. This wig though....
"The Game" actor Carl Payne hit the carpet on his preppy tip.
Former Xscape member Latocha Scott hit the carpet with her son's father, who is also her manager, Rocky Bivens.
Not sure why Anthony Hamilton felt the need to rock this humungous man bag on the carpet. But yeah...
AJ Johnson was on the carpet showing off her tight bod.
And she posed it up with the host of the evening, The Haunted House star Essence Atkins. Essence's co-host was Rickey Smiley.

Oh, to be a fly on THAT billion dollar wall. Nasty Nas may be making some serious social media moves after pics surfaced from a random yet intriguing dinner last night with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg & MAJOR investor Ben Horowitz.
Check out what the trio was up to inside...
39-year-old "The Don" rapper Nas broke bread last night with a couple of the most powerful men in the tech game--28-year-old billionaire CEO Mark Zuckerberg (with his wife Priscilla) and 46-year-old hi-tech entrepreneur/billionaire venture capitalist Ben Horowitz. And if you're wining and dining with billionaires, we can only assume (at least we HOPE) that at least one person was talking money at that table. Pics surfaced on Instagram from a private dinner that took place last night with the interesting trio. Details of their convo have yet to be released, but we do conclude it has something to do with Nas' involvement in Facebook, which Mark owns and Ben has invested in via his filthy rich firm Andreessen Horowitz. Another random fact we've noticed, Ben has often referenced on his Twitter account his recent investment in the hip hop lyric decoder site Rap Genius. He posted an article about how the sensemaking of internet information--i.e. rap lyrics (like the Rap Genius site)--is one of his firm's investment focuses. Interestingly, Ben posted a pic with Nas at a Rap Genius function last July. So the two are not total strangers. Also, Ben already has a close relationship with Jay-Z & Steve Stoute. So he's not a complete stranger to the hip hop world. Will Nas be investing some dollars of his own into Facebook, Inc? Is he cutting some type of major money making social media deal with the head honchos? Or both? Time will tell, but we're guessing Mr. Jones is gearing up to cash out on a deal either way....
