Kim Kardashian busted filming scene in Dec she claims is from Oct, where she bitches about Kris H. Posted: 16 Jan 2012 10:00 AM PST
I feel like this story may have gotten lost and eclipsed by Golden Globe coverage and I wanted to give it some play. Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris, were very clearly busted filming a segment for “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” in which they claimed to be in Dubai but were in New York. It’s common knowledge that these people fake scenes and entire plotlines for their show, so that may sound like it’s not a big deal. The faked scene was filmed in December, though, as evidenced by photo agencies showing Kim and Kris leaving a TV studio wearing and carrying the outfits they wore in it. They claim that the scene took place in a car Dubai in October, before Kim filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after a whopping 72 days. In the segment, Kim goes on to her mom about how she has a bad feeling about her marriage and how it’s not working out. She says she doesn’t want to return home from “Dubai,” to her new man and that “there’s something in my relationship that I feel like it’s right.” Then they very obviously use a voice over in which Kim’s nasty nasally voice is softened. She insinuates that there’s something going on behind the scenes that she’s not telling us about Kris H. She says in the voice over “I’m just like learning a lot of things about him that I didn’t really know before and I don’t know married life isn’t just what I thought it would be with him.” Kris counsels her that it’s not normal not to want to go home to your husband. Kim was in Dubai in mid October. She filed for divorce from Kris H. on October 31st. By December the Kardashians were really feeling the fallout, so they filmed this crap to make it seem like Kim thought about it for more than two seconds before she made the decision to divorce Kris. Here’s more, from Reality Tea:
[From Reality Tea, original story credit: Kardashapointed] Meanwhile Radar is reporting that Kim dictated to Kris Humphries exactly how to propose to her so that it could be captured for his show. She had it down to the lighting in the room for filming purposes. Kris made some suggestions “because he wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all of his ideas were shot down by production officials and Kim.” I’m not team anyone because I think Kris is an idiot too, he would have to be to get with Kim and marry her. On some level he’s probably hugely relieved to no longer have to deal with her family and that reality show. There are actual fans of the Kardashians who believe the timelines and scenarios they present on their shows. I’m sure the fans are few and far between as of late, but there are real people who are going to be disappointed with this news. The rest of us will just gloat and wait. Here’s Kim wearing some super high waisted jeans and looking very orange on 1-12-12. She’s outside Barney’s here. Credit: Revolutionpix/FameFlynet Pictures |
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt at the Globes: a bad night for the Brangelina Brand? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:33 AM PST Ah, lets' just go ahead and analyze (and over-analyze) everything Brangelina. Brad and Angie made it to at the Golden Globes red carpet with plenty of time to schmooze the media outlets. Brad wore a three-piece Ferragamo tuxedo which… no one paid attention to. People only looked at Brad's cane and his hair. He looked scruffy, but I was just happy that he wasn't wearing sunglasses like a jackass. As for Angelina, she was in this cream and red Atelier Versace. Okay, Brangeloonies, it's time for some hard truths: I really didn't like this gown. Seriously. It washed her out, even with the red streak. It looked padded in the bust and butt, and the cut was really weird throughout the bodice and shoulders. Now, I didn't loathe the look, and I'm aware that there are mixed opinions. My mom loved the whole thing, and CB thought her lipstick was the biggest problem. So, go ahead and fight about it. I'm just saying, I think she could have looked so much better. And hey, at least it wasn't a motherchucking sack. Shall we talk about the Ryan Seacrest interview? I was laughing my ass off. You know Ryan and Angelina pretty much hate each other, right? And it goes back to the 2007 Golden Globes – go here for a minor review. Anyway, last night, Angelina wore a stunningly direct bit face while talking to Ryan, and I was totally rooting for her to smack the hell out of him. Does it even matter what they said to each other? Nope. The subtext was clear. Ryan was all, "This bitch." And Angelina was all, "Come at me, a–hole. I'll kneecap your ass too." As for Brangelina at the actual show – they were front and center, and there were some gratuitous cut-aways to them, but not as many as in years past. Angelina lost Best Foreign Film (while Madonna was presenting!) and Brad lost Best Actor, but both got to present. During the ceremony, Angelina wrapped herself up in a matching shawl or jacket which was not cute. And thankfully, the cameras didn't pan to Angelina when Ricky Gervais made ANOTHER crack about The Tourist. All in all, a disappointing night for the Brangelina Brand. |
Lindsay Lohan crashes pre- and post-Globes parties like a crackhead loser Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:27 AM PST As I began to look through the photos from last night's Golden Globes, these are the photos that caught my eye. For real. LL crashed the Weinstein post-Globes party – and the pre-party too, apparently. HuffPo reports that several days ago, The Weinstein Company hosted a Globes celebration at the Chateau Marmont, and Linnocent "snuck in through the hotel's back entrance." She made a beeline for the A-listers (including Michelle Williams and Jean Dujardin) and she took photos with them. A source told Fox News that LL is back to living at the Marmont too – "She came because she had a room at the Chateau.” If that wasn't enough, Lindsay has caught the eye of another sketchball – Jeremy Piven:
[From Page Six] Who sounds more pathetic, the crackhead or the crackhead enabler? In any case, LL is due back in court for her monthly progress report tomorrow. Apparently, she's in compliance, but just barely:
[From TMZ] Can't you feel the old crack itch coming back? As if the itch ever left! It's always there, she can just contain for a month or so. And then it pops up and crashes a party and then shows up to a big industry party, looking like the raging crack urge it is. |
Reese Witherspoon in red Zac Posen at the Globes: amazing or try-hard? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:20 AM PST I have such mixed feelings about Reese Witherspoon's appearance at the Golden Globes last night. She was there as a presenter, and her film This Means War comes out in a few weeks, so Reese is trying to promote the film in a big way. I respect that – Reese hustles like everyone else. More power to her. But… but… but… is this working? I noticed it in Reese's recent Elle Magazine profile – she's really trying to change up her image from "Type A, anal retentive good girl" to "beachy, sexy, ditzy bombshell." There's a disconnect, at least for me. But let's talk about the fashion and styling. Reese's dress is Zac Posen, and although it looks okay in still photos, in motion, you could tell that Reese had poured herself into something that was much too tight. She was basically hopping down the carpet and taking little baby steps on the stage. The dress is interesting though – love a blonde in fire-engine red, and I don't hate the detailing on her hips. The dress makes her look like a shiny red Corvette, right? So, on some level, I really like this and I think Reese looks beautiful in a new way. And her body looks AMAZING. As for the hair – CB claimed that Reese was just doing "big, Southern hair." NO SHE WASN'T!!! This is not Southern hair. This is big, teased up "beach hair". It looks scraggily and overworked, like she was trying too hard to look bedheady. You know what this whole thing reminds me of? Reese is trying to become the next Jennifer Aniston. She's trying to adopt that kind of image – more low-key, more fun, more beaches and smiles and girl-next-door sex appeal. The problem? Reese Witherspoon is an Oscar-winner with two kids. I don't buy that she spends her spare time in Cabo drinking Mojitos. Reese isn't that woman. But someone convinced her that the kind of woman she really is wasn't selling. And that bothers me. |
George Clooney let Stacy Keibler speak on the Globes red carpet: good idea? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:19 AM PST As I mentioned in yesterday's Open Post, last night was all about George Clooney. I don't get why he's so desperate for validation this year, of all years. Why is he pushing himself in our faces so hard? Why was he, like, one of the first people on the red carpet? He arrived before Lea Michele, right? WTF is happening? And most importantly, WHY DID HE LET HER SPEAK?!?!? So Clooney and Stacy Keibler were one of the first people to arrive on the Globes red carpet, and they did a longer interview with Ryan Seacrest. George let Stacy speak! And dear God, this girl has nothing to say. She didn't even pick out her dress – George chose it. Probably because he doesn't want another tit tape disaster, right? My favorite part – the part that made me laugh hysterically – was when Stacy fronted like she and George have ALWAYS done the Globes red carpet together. She said something about how glad they were to be there because "this is always such a fun night!" Like she's been so many times. Like she and Dame Helen Mirren are always up for awards together. Anyway, Stacy's dress was Valentino – I actually like it, and it flatters her figure and it's a nice color. I don't even mind the bow at the back. My only problem was with the scraggily hair. What is her hair problem? She does "rat's nest" hairstyles too often. So… Clooney won Best Actor over Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender, but he managed to give both men a shout-out in his acceptance speech. I did like what he said about the Fassdong and how… ENDOWED my Fassy is. It was nice of George to notice, and to comment about the Fassdong publicly. Bless his heart. |
Helen Mirren, Glenn Close & Meryl Streep: who looked the best at the Globes? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:01 AM PST First racism and now ageism. I'm having a terrible morning!! Anyway, we decided to put all of the old(er) broads in one post, because… well, you know. As much as I love Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren and Glenn Close, they're never going to be the most talked-about fashionistas. I was surprised when Meryl won Best Actress – I really thought Viola Davis had this whole thing in the bag, but every now and then, people just like to give Meryl an award, and God bless them. Meryl is pure joy, even when she's cussing up a storm about her glasses. Though I love Meryl, and I think she's a fierce bitch in almost all areas, I hated her Alessandra Rich shirtdress. Dear Meryl: do not wear shirtdresses to the Golden Globes. PS… I love you. Meryl beat out Glenn Close for Best Actress, and the silver lining is that Glenn didn't have to get on stage in this hideousness. Look, I think Glenn is beautiful. I'm undecided as to whether she's had work done, but I like that she looks her age, and she looks beautiful for her age, and her talent is extraordinary. But the best thing I can say about this gown was that it was a pretty color and it was age-appropriate. Maybe a little too appropriate, because Glenn looks older than she should. Dame Helen Mirren was one of my best-dressed of the night, which you probably suspected because you know I'm a whore for jewel tones. Helen wore this stunning Badgley Mischka, which managed to be age-appropriate, yet made her look sexy and young. Yay for Helen! She's so adorable. |
The Glee Girls at the Globes, Lea Michele & Dianna Agron in fussy gowns: who worked it? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 09:00 AM PST
Lea was in this intricately beaded Marchesa gown which looked more like a figure skater’s getup than a real dress. She’s got a great figure and she’s going to dress it up, grind it out and enthuse about it while pulling the stupidest faces you’ve ever seen. This is Lea, taking herself way too seriously. She’s ambition and false pride wrapped up in bacon and served from inside a Boston cream donut. Compare Lea to her co-star, the usually demure and often poorly styled Dianna Agron. Agron looks a little ashamed to be on a red carpet, like she thinks she doesn’t belong there and is trying her best to fit in. She’s sweet as an apple and seems as pure. So this Giles dress seem somewhat wrong for her in that the tiered ruffle skirt and cutout bodice are too adult, but maybe it’s perfect. The skirt is mismatched and out of place with the top, kind of like Agron. She’s slightly awkward and is almost apologizing for how pretty she is. I don’t like the skirt at all but from the top half she’s stunning. Jenna Ushkowitz attended a Golden Globe after party in a sleeveless Norman Ambrose gown that looked like a prom dress reworked with some beading. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t a unique or standout dress apart from the bead work. I shouldn’t nitpick, I would wear that gorgeous dress in a heartbeat. This may sound rude (not that it’s ever stopped me before) but I’m kind of over Jane Lynch. She’s using her coach Sue schtick to shill all kinds of products, from Healthy Choice dinners to Barnes and Noble. It feels like I’m seeing her commercials constantly. She wore this blue v-neck chiffon gown with looks very pretty when you examine it closely in photos. On screen it was too one-note though and looked plain. Unlike past years, Glee was only up for one award, for best TV comedy and it didn’t win anything. It feels like Glee’s time is heading to an end, but I could be wrong. Hope not. Update: Amber Riley was at the Globes but our agencies didn’t carry photos of her there for some reason. Here she is at an after party. She was in a lovely bright red Badgley Mischka gathered dress with a ruffle detail along the bodice. I love this elegant look and especially like her hair and styling. Rooney Mara in black Nina Ricci at the Globes: pretentious, bored & budget? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 08:30 AM PST I was on the phone with my mom during the first part of E! Red Carpet coverage (what? It's our thing) and when Rooney Mara came on to talk to Ryan Seacrest, within seconds, my mom and I both had competing Rooney Mara impressions. I have to admit, my mom's is better. I don't know if it was just hearing Rooney's actual voice for the first time, or the fact that she seemed so patronizing, so "over it" already, but it made for great comedy. Rooney's voice is not unlike Megan Fox's – it's nasal and bored and entitled and kind of Valley Girl. Like, everything gets higher at the end of the sentence so it sounds like a question? And bored. You have to sound bored. And like it's such an imposition to be speaking to Ryan Seacrest. Like, you're so above this, doesn't anyone understand? Doesn't everyone know that she's only speaking to Ryan, like, ironically? Anyway, Rooney's dress is Nina Ricci. It kind of awful, right? I was going to make a point about Rooney's endless supply of black dresses and how they all blend together and maybe that's the problem, but that's not even it. This is just a terrible dress with a dust ruffle. It's unflattering, it looks cheap, and Rooney looks like hell in it. *so bored* Did you enjoy the cut-aways to Rooney during the ceremony? SO BORED. Jesus, why didn't everyone at the ceremony just realize that she's, like, the only TRUE artist? God, it's so boring when other people, like, WIN things. I'm also including some photos of Salma Hayek, who is not bored or boring. I hated her Gucci dress, but compared to Rooney, aren't you overwhelmed by Salma's professionalism and her ability to actually entertain and engage? |
Sofia Vergara versus Frieda Pinto: who looked better in teal at the Globes? Posted: 16 Jan 2012 07:58 AM PST First off, please don't yell at me and call me a racist for putting two attractive "women of color" in one "separate but equal" post. I only wanted to put Sofia Vergara and Freida Pinto together because they were wearing similar colors (this beautiful blue-green-teal). I swear! I promise! But seriously, how gorgeous are these two women of color? As a woman of similar coloring, I could only dream of looking this beautiful. Sofia was one of my picks for Best Dressed at the Golden Globes. Her dress is Vera Wang, an ID that I didn't expect. Usually, I tend to dislike Wang's red carpet gowns, but this is absolutely stunning. It's a gorgeous color on Sofia, it fits her like a dream, and she manages to look sophisticated and sexy without having the girls in our faces, you know? My only (small) complaint was that Sofia's hair should be different. I don't like it down and poker-straight with this beautiful dress. Also: how funny was Sofia's speech when Modern Family won best comedy? She was so cute! I like her even more when she speaks in her native tongue. As for Freida, she went for this strapless Prada in a similar hue as Sofia. This is one of those rare dresses that looks different (and better) in still photos than it does in motion (and I suspect, in person). When E! News got in close on the fabric of the dress, it looked really cheap. But from a distance, the effect is gorgeous. Plus, that face! God, she's beautiful. Oh, and that necklace was amazing too! I find it hard to wear yellow gold with similar coloring to Freida, so I found it enchanting that she made it work. |
The ladies of comedy: Zooey Deschanel, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Posted: 16 Jan 2012 07:58 AM PST
Last night McCarthy wore this emerald Badgley Mischka which is doing something strange to her boobs. From some angles it looks like they’re sitting on a shelf. The dress looked a lot prettier on screen, though, and I’m so glad she opted for something with a jeweled neckline instead of going for sequins as she’s done so often this season. Zooey Deschanel killed it in this gorgeous custom made Prada. I loved this dress so much and thought it was so striking. Zooey’s makeup was way overdone and her hair looked so fake and like it was hanging in her eyes. I wish she would have gone for simpler styling. Look at how cute she is posing with her sister Emily! I think Emily’s dress is a little fussy and I’m not liking the black shoes paired with the cobalt blue dress. She just had a baby less than four months ago. Zooey was up for best actress in a comedy TV series for “New Girl,” which went to Laura Dern. Also up for best actress in a comedy was Tina Fey for “30 Rock.” Fey was characteristically cute and I love that she opted for a bright jewel tone instead of going for black as usual. She was in a tight Oscar de la Renta gown with a flared feather hemline. The dress wasn’t amazing, but Tina looked great. Tina’s BFF Amy Poehler, nominated in the same category, looked a little washed out. She was wearing one of the more popular gown colors last night, a pale champagne shadPoehler was in Naeem Khan and I find the dress so pretty apart from the color. The subtle beading with clean lines is just so striking. I love Poehler’s cute hair and makeup too. That’s how you curl shorter hair. Like Amy Poehler, Julie Bowen also suffered from too-light dress syndrome. She had on chiffon Reem Acra gown with a flowing gown and sequin cap sleeves. The sleeves were a little bizarre for me, and I thought her hair was matronly with those stiff curls. She looked lovely despite those minor issues. Her makeup is gorgeous. Maya Rudolph looked a little underdone, in my opinion, in a v-neck sleeveless matte black gown with a full skirt. Still, I love the pattern on that dress, which is almost snake-like. Her stacked bracelets seem too informal and she could have dressed it up with some jewels. I would love to wear a million dollars worth of diamonds just for one night.
