Yesterday at the Project Trade Show in Las Vegas, basketball legends Allen Iverson and Dominique Wilkins hit the media flashes with Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross and Tyga for an exclusive press conference at the Reebok Classics booth. Pics and deets on the fellas inside...
A.I.'s sexy self is still in the basketball world...via his shoe game. He joined the rest of the REEBOK boys to talk about everything upcoming for Reebok Classics this year, specifically the various retro re-releases (like the Iverson shoe) that the company has been coming out with this year.
Designer Swizz Beatz moderated this discussion, followed by Dominique Wilkins who talked about his favorite moments for his signature shoe, the Pump Twilight Zone (originally released in 1990, now re-releasing this Friday, August 24th) and Allen talked about the Question and Answer IV releases that happened earlier this year along with the upcoming Question release (white/navy) in October and the additional Answer IV releases in November.
For you sneakerheads, they also talked about the re-release of Emmitt Smith’s ES22 that he wore in 1997 – this style has never been re-released and this is the first time the shoe will be available at retailers (this Holiday season) in the past 15 years. Rounding out the talk was Rick Ross and Tyga talking about their new partnership with Reebok Classics. More pics:

Though they've worked together in the past, sources say Mariah Carey was not thrilled by the news of Nicki Minaj maybe heading to "American Idol." In fact.....Mariah is sad to have hung up the phone when told of the news! What's Mariah's beef with Nicki? Folks say it isn't personal but Mariah wants to be the ONLY female on the panel and she's not too interested in competing with a chick who's younger than her. And then there's the elephant in the room....THREE Black judges! Will folks in middle American be ready? Hmmmm.....

Nicki has revealed the bottle for her upcoming fragrance, and it's perfect for her Barbie-loving fans. The scent will drop the end of September.

Rapper Diggy Simmons will be heading to BET, according to Deadline Hollywood. This time, for his own show...sans the rest of his fam. The network has picked up an "Untitled Diggy Simmons Project" headed up by the fire-hot writing/directing/production team of Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil. The Diggy Simmons scripted project is described as a fresh and edgy look at 17-year-old Diggy Simmons, his life as a blogger, and the close group of loyal friends he has. He'll play the main character Blake and Teyana Taylor will play his ex. Of course. Bria Murphy has also been cast on the show as the girlfriend (Nia) of one of the characters. It is being set up as an initial 2-hour mini movie that has the possibility of going to series. Kevin Liles is co-executive producing. Diggy is such a cutie! |

In a video all about scoring with chicks, Trey Songz decides to score on the football field instead of the bedroom in his new "Hail Mary" video with a team of football playing chicks. Jeezy & Weezy lend their verses and faces. Check out the vid inside... It's Team Songz vs. Team Hart in Trey's new video. Trey's team of lingerie football is taking on Kevin Hart's...and things get a little crazy. Trey directed the vid himself and the track appears on his new Chapter V album, in stores today. It turns out that Lauryn Hill not only owes the IRS, but also owes the state of New Jersey for back taxes to the tune of over $440K. Deets inside........
Lauryn Hill and her legal team are facing more bad news today as it was revealed that she also owes a serious amount of taxes to the State of New Jersey. A civil judgment was entered against her on June 14th claiming that she is on the hook for $446,386 in unpaid state taxes. Lauryn is facing 3 years in jail for her fed case and is scheduled for sentencing in November. We guess she was "away" from society when these were due too. By the way, she's not doing interviews about this mess (sorry Oprah!).

Mariah Carey was spotted down in New Orleans today where she's filming Lee Daniels' The Butler with Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker and Cuba Gooding, Jr. It's her first day on the set as well. The "Triumphant" singer has also been announced as one of the musical acts for the NFL's first game of the season.
And on tv..........
Jennifer Hudson was spotted again on the set of the hit sitcom "Smash."
She also had her little one David Jr. on the set. Gotta love the hard working moms.

Actress Tichina Arnold is now a married woman. The 43-year-old fab chick got hitched to college basketball coach Rico Hines over the wekeend. Pics and deets inside... The "Happily Divorced" actress is anything but anymore. Tichina was happily wed at Honolulu's Oasis Oceanfront Estate, with 70 guests in attendance. DJ D-Nice flew in for one day to deejay the event. We told you earlier about Rasheeda calling K. Michelle out for being a hypocrite, and on Friday, "L&HH ATL" star K Michelle stopped by 106 KMEL in San Francisco where she chatted it up with Sana G, Miss Kimmie & Big Von of KMEL-FM about hwat's been going on. When asked about the rumors that she got into a physical altercation with Rasheeda at the "L&HH ATL" reunion, she said, "I didn't hit that girl." K. said she thinks Rasheeda needs a storyline so she can come back for season 2, so that explains the drama. She also said Rasheeda had initially been supportive of her but after the show began airing, she couldn't take the heat from her friends. She also cleared up her beef with Tamar and said their Twitter spat was due to petty things like the "Muppet" comment and her saying she likes Toni better. And is her booty real? Yes. Despite Memphitz's claims he bought her teeth, boobs and booty himself. She said, "I have a real butt but my titties are not real." Nas posted the above pic and a trailer to his upcoming video for "Bye Baby" today. We've got both inside, plus a new track from Ciara that just popped up online today.... Nas' life is still good as he drops the trailer for his next video off his Life Is Good album, "Bye Baby." He copped his ex-wife's green wedding dress, cleaned out her closet, and worked out those papers with his divorce lawyers. All to say, 'Bye baby" at the end. Eve indeed rocked the stage at last night's Rock The Bells concert kickoff in San Bernardino, CA. She reunited with her Ruff Ryders crew member DMX, spoke praises of the new female rappers, while J.Cole, Nas & more took the stage.

Eve broke out some of her new music as one of the very few ladies on the Rock The Bells line up. And reunited with her homie DMX on stage as he brought her out for a Ruff Ryders throwback during his set. YES.
She performed both nights (Saturday and Sunday) and made the formal announcement that she's on the comeback tip. Hopefully she finally gets tot release that next album soon that she's been trying to do for years.
Next up for one of our fave fab rapstresses? She's got some acting gigs lined up: A cameo on NBC's comedy "Whitney" and a kick ass role in the upcoming independent film Bouncy Killer. Check out what she told FUSE TV during the festival about her fave current female rap chicks. Faith Evans has released a new single called "Tears of Joy" and has announced an upcoming album called R&B Divas. The same name as her upcoming TV One reality show. Get the deets inside and watch the latest "R&B Divas" promo.
As her reality show "R&B Divas" is set to premiere on TV One tonight, Faith Evans has announced that she's releasing a companion album to the show called R&B Divas on October 2. The first single off the album is “Tears of Joy,” which was written by songwriter and producer (respectively), Claude Kelly & Chuck Harmony. The album also features “Dumb,” a retro-soul uptempo track written by Faith and produced by the group 1500 OR NOTHIN’. Also, the LP features the show's theme song, “Lovin Me,” which was co-written by fellow R&B Diva, Nichole “Nicci” Gilbert-Daniels, Belle Johnson and Gharah “PK” Degeddungseze. The album will benefit the WHITNEY E. HOUSTON ACADEMY OF CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS. Faith spoke about the project saying,

Nicki Minaj could seriously be joining "American Idol" as a judge next season. Get the deets inside....
Though Nicki Minaj joked about joining the panel a few month ago, "American Idol" execs must have taken her seriously as sources are buzzing that she's set to join Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson on the upcoming season. Two sources confirmed the scoop to US Weekly with one saying, "I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening." Another said, "Nicki is "100% confirmed to judge American Idol." So far, Nicki and the folks at FOX have kept a confirmation under wraps. However, a source tells TheYBF.com that a deal is 3-4 days away from being final!
