Tamia's New "Give Me You" Track, She DISHES On Being UNDERRATED & Her R&B Faves

"Still" singer Tamia recently opened up about her personal life with hubby Grant Hill, the state of R&B music and and her favorite vocalists while promoting the release of her latest disc Beautiful Surprise (on shelves today).  Listen inside and check out her new "Give Me You" single.....

 

 

As her 5th album Beautiful Surprise lands in stores today, gorgeous songstress Tamia spoke to KEMPIRE RADIO recently where she dished on where R&B music is headed, if she feels underrated and living a normal life with Grant Hill. Here are the highlights:

On the state of R&B:

"Well, I think we all need to support R&B.  I do think a good song, good lyrics and good melody never die.  It's timeless.  That's always what I set out to do." She added that some of her own favorite vocalists are Tank, Miguel, and Anita Baker.

On being underrated:

"I really do feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be at the moment.  Life has its ups and downs of course, but I am maintaining.  I'm still here and I'm very proud in that.  I focus on putting my heart and soul in the project and I love the connection I make with strangers through music."

On normalcy with Grant Hill:

"We just live a normal lifestyle.  Our everyday life is really Mom and Dad.  Everything centers around our kids and that's a busy life.  It's just who we are.  We live to be drama free and live a normal life."  She added that being on a reality would not be her idea of a "normal life."

Stevie J's "prowess" in bed has been the topic of conversation on "L&HH ATL" (and beyond) on many occasions, and now the reality star may be getting ready to show fans what all the hype is about.  Get deets on Stevie J's love-making guide inside......

During a candid interview with Bootleg Kev’s radio show, Stevie J addressed the art of lovemaking (since Joseline keeps bragging about how good he is in bed). He hinted that he and Joseline may be making an explicit video guide for young couples. Would this be the first "legitimate" celebrity sex tape?

He said, “Yeah we might be doing the lovemaking guide, we got the book coming, the t-shirts coming.” But before the guide comes out, he's also writing a book.  He added, “Just the way players play. A manual for the ladies and a manual for the gentlemen with my perspective on how to handle things.”

But it's not all sex talk with the producer, he's in the studio working with several artists including his son Gavin.

“We got the music coming, we got Taryn Grant, Eddie Rap Life, the Stevie J project, BBOD, and Young Gavin — we just working.”

So this is really just an excuse to make and sell a sex tape it seems.  Will you be buying?

CANDIDS: Drake The Babysitter? + Angela Simmons Gets Primped & Colorful

Drake was spotted out with a youngin' yesterday in Calabassas.  He was on babysitting/spend time duty with a mystery kid.  Pics of Drake taking her for a spin in the Bentley, plus Angela Simmons looking laid back and colorful for the nail salon.

 

Looks like Drake was spending time with fam or a friend's daughter and another woman yesterday in Calabassas.  The trio was spotted leaving Toscana Restaurant.  He's been performing in DC & Maryland this past weekend with his homies Meek Mill & Wale.  And he's gearing up for this weekend's Made In America festival.  The rapper is set to perform for the Jay-Z curated 1st annual event.  You going?

Angela Simmons threw on her floral leggings and distressed OMG shirt to hit up the nail shop in Beverly Hills.  And she rocked her Chanel Calfskin Silver Plated Biker Boots and her hair in a bun (sans the weave) for the occasion.  She tweeted:

STILL IN THE GAME: Tisha Campbell Martin & Rosie Perez Make Promo Rounds

Today marked the 20th anniversary of the tv show we all (well, most of us) grew up watching..."Martin."  And the co-star, Tisha Campbell-Martin made an appearance on "Good Afternoon America" today to celebrate!  Pics inside, plus what Rosie Perez has been up to...

Ok Gina!  Still holding it down.  Tisha was a guest on "GAA" today as she talked about funny hot topics with Lara Spencer....like Shaq's sperm.  Yeah.

And she's looking back to her normal self these days.  The actress, who is married to actor Duane Martin, opened a restaurant in L.A. earlier this month, named after their son Xen, called Xen Lounge.  Nice!

 

Also spotted making her promo rounds today:

Everybody's fave original chick from the block...Rosie Perez.  She also hit up "Good Afternoon America" today to promote her new flick, Won't Back Down about the educational system.

The actress has made an appearance on the hit cable show "Nurse Jackie."  And is currently filming a new flick (based on Cormac McCarthy's book) called The Counselor starring hottie Brad Pitt.  Nice.  The thriller hits theaters November 2012.

Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander CONFIRMS SPLIT From Former NBA Baller Shaquille O’Neal!

Former reality tv star Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander confirmed to the Boston Globe that she's split from longtime boyfriend, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.  Get the deet on the split inside.........

 

Former reality tv star Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander has confirmed her split from former NBA baller Shaquille O'Neal.  So what caused the split?  Sources say a very public fight at the Orlando Metro Gymnastics facility was the final straw.

BlackSportsOnline reports an eyewitness saying,

“The gym doesn’t teach people over the age of 18 for insurance purposes and when Hoopz was told this she lost her mind. She started to curse out the staff and became belligerent. She got extremely loud, screaming at the top of her lungs how she needed to train for the 2016 Olympics.

Shaq was embarrassed, he dropped his head like he was ashamed of her. He didn’t say anything while they were in the gym, but once they got to their car a heated argument took place. You could hear and see them screaming at each other. I felt bad for him.”

I always wonder what people expect from serial reality show hot heads and thirstmongers.  And the Olympics?  Oh.  Although the breakup didn't happen THAT day, Hoopz's tantrum must have left a bad taste is Shaq's mouth because they aren't together anymore....

Atlanta Firefighters BATTLE FIRE At Tyler Perry Studios....AGAIN!

Atlanta firefighters responded to a fire at Tyler Perry Studios this morning.  And this is the second time ths year. Get the deets inside....

 

A few months ago, Atlanta firefighter had to put out a 4-alarm blaze at Tyler Perry Studios and this morning, another fire broke out at the complex. 

Police dispatchers reported, according to the AJC, that the roof of a building at the complex on Continental Colony Parkway in southeast Atlanta caught fire this AM.  Nearly two dozen firefighters were seen battling the blaze on the roof.  It was not immediately known whether it was the same building on fire a few months ago.

The cause of the fire back in May was undetermined, and this is the same ruling as of now.  100 firefighters were reportedly handling 6-story flames.  No injuries have been reported.  But it's indeed a blow to Tyler as he's busy filming movies and shows on his lot.

“RHOA” star Kandi Burruss celebrated the 10th birthday of her daughter Riley with a Nicki Minaj-themed birthday party which featured lots of pink wigs and a Nicki impersonator.  And thanks to Talking With Tami, we've got some pics

Riley’s wig was custom made by Nicki’s hairstylist Terrence Davidson. We can tell.

The party was planned by fellow “RHOA” castmate Phaedra Parks who had some fun with the Nicki lookalike.

NeNe Leakes recently hosted a launch party for her new “Nethia” shoe which she’s doing with Kim Kardashian’s styling service, Shoe Dazzle. Kim didn’t make it to the launch but she did tweet….

Kandi Burruss attended the launch.

WNBA Atlanta Dream player Yelena Leuchanka also came out.

The shoe costs $39.99 and proceeds go to a charity benefiting teen girls.  Many celebs like Kim K. and LaLa Anthony have lent their name to the company for them to sell a shoe under their name for charity.  We guess Kim's Operations Manual has been passed down the line to NeNe....

Cassie Cops Money, Jewelry & Parties From Diddy For Her Birthday Weekend!

Cassie celebrated her 26th birthday over the weekend with every girl's fave things: Her boo, parties, jewelry & dollar dollar bills. Check out the singer/model's big day and what her boo Diddy laced her with inside…

Jewelry? Check. Stacks of Cash? Check. A few parties? Check and check. Since Cassie's now Diddy's Official Girl (kinda), he offered the youngin (who is almost 20 years his junior) a 26th birthday to remember.  The "King Of Hearts" singer's fam, friends, even Diddy's son Justin were all in tow for one of her intimate parties:

She partied it up with a cutesy 3 tier cake with friends. And then hit the club at Greystone Manor with Diddy, Chris Brown, Tyga, Red Cafe, The Game and more:

The duo also just returned from a fabulous yacht vacay in Capri. Not a bad way to kick off a new year of life. Get it.
