Here is the first, officially released photo of Watts as The People's Princess (above)!

Oliver Hirschbiegel's Caught In Flight biopic focuses on Lady Di's last years before her tragic, untimely death, and also stars Lost's Naveen Andrews as Diana's lover Dr. Hasnat Khan.

Goodness, her hair, that thoughtful, kind expression... the resemblance is spot-on!

Tom Cruise DENIED! Deets On Crazy Court Chaos With Katie Holmes!

Katie Holmes won a gold medal in clever divorce when she filed the papers in no-non-fault state New York!

But seeing the state as an "inappropriate venue" for a judge to weigh in on the dissolution of their marriage, Tom Cruise reportedly wanted to check into filing in California.

But with much dismay, that idea has been REJECTED! Why? Well... ya can't really file for the same divorce in two places at once. That's why.

According to a source:

"He will have to adhere to the New York divorce petition that Katie filed. He won't be able to file in California until he presents evidence to the courts in New York that they weren't residents. The judge in New York will ultimately decide if the Big Apple is the proper venue for the divorce to proceed. So for the time Tom won't be able to file in California. This is an obvious setback, and Tom is livid that Katie is calling all the shots."

Meanwhile, new sources can confirm there was NO emergency hearing over Suri's custody.

Katie will be going face-to-face with the judge on July 17, however, as it's required to show cause hearing. This way, she can rest easy with a temporary order.

Who knew divorce could be so fun??

Since making her separation from Tom Cruise offish last week, Katie Holmes has been treating her daughter to the finer funner things in life!

Thursday the independent women took Suri, a couple pals and six security guards to a children's museum in NYC.

Perhaps the newly single mom is hoping to show her 6-year-old some solid facts, before she's forced to hand Suri over to her father and Lord Xenu for visitation.

All week the ladies have been having fun!

On the 4th, the gals grabbed some ice cream to celebrate Tom's birthday, AND residents say Tom's 3rd wife and 5th child frequent the kid's playroom in their new apartment building.

Sounds like Katie is making it hard for lil' Suri to want to leave.

We don't blame her!

Star Jones Said What!?! Her Controversial Statement On Anderson Cooper's Coming Out!

Oh, Star! Oh... STAR!!!

Thursday, on national television, Star Jones made a statement regarding Anderson Cooper's recent coming out.

And it is shocking!

According to Star, Anderson probably came out just to get a ratings' boost... kinda like when Oprah admitted to smoking crack!

Or if you want it verbatim, she said:

"He's a daytime talk show host and when the rating slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them. I remember Oprah said she smoked crack, Oprah said she was pregnant at 14 and considered suicide. There [are] times when you generate information for ratings."

Of course, right after she said that, she realized the error of her candor and said, "Whoa! I shouldn't have said that! [To Anderson] I say bravo! Bravo!"

Still... the damage had been done.

And now we all know Star's real feelings. Sure, a lot of celebrities do a lot of things for ratings or publicity. But when we're talking about something so personal, impact, a lil' extra consideration for national television would be nice.

Howie Mandel: Sex In The Champagne Bath Room!

What a dirrrrty way to celebrate our nation's independence!

Howie Mandel threw a Fourth of July rager at his Calabasas home Wednesday evening, and awoke Thursday morn to lustful sounds coming from his latrine...

And believing it to be some kind of sexual assault, Howie called the cops!

But fortunately, the coppers only found some super-celebratory 21 year-olds who had gotten carried away with their patriotic festivites!

Ha!!!

Poor Howie... although why he didn't just knock on the door instead of getting authorities involved is a mystery to us!

We hope there was no residual, um, confetti to clean up! HA!

Katie Holmes' Divorce Strategy Uncovered!

As we've been reporting, Katie Holmes' decision to divorce Tom Cruise was no spur of the moment thing -- gurl had this shiz PLANNED!

And when we say she planned the divorce -- which shocked and surprised many -- we're talking numbers changed, apartment switched...the works!

Katie clearly kept her strategizing on the DL, because Tom was caught completely off guard once the papers were filed!

A source revealed:

"She was talking to Tom on the phone up until last week saying, 'I love you.' Her inner circle has been planning this and switching out cell phones since she was in China [in mid-June]."

Two-faced or just protecting herself??

Well supposedly, not only could Tom not reach her, but it's been virtually impossible for ANYONE to get a hold of Holmes!

As for the new apartment she rented in June?

A source stated:

"[Tom] knew that she moved there, but [he thought it was] for different reasons. She said she moved there to drive into the underground garage. There are fewer paparazzi and it's less intrusive for her. It was the first phase of getting everything out of the house, and that's why she was able to say she's moving without giving an indication that she was going to divorce him."

Ooh...very interesting! Once again, smart girl!

Last week, Katie's dad even dropped by to help her fire the staff Tom had hired for her and clean house!

According to a source, Vanessa Paradis is so upset with Amber, she's resorted to nasty name-calling!

The insider reveals:

"Vanessa's devastated that Johnny's dumped her. She blames Amber and calls her a man-stealing, two-bit nobody and has vowed to not let her anywhere near their children."

Ouuuch!!!

If our memory serves us though, didn't Johnny wait to begin showing his Amber affections after he and Nessa became estranged?

Musical, microscopic mice are running all OVER our goose-pimpled skin after watching English cinnamon spice Ed Sheeran and the glorious Julian Perretta duet Ed's sweet melancholy tune, Lego House!!

Ed surprised his Parisian audience with a completely impromptu guest appearance by Julian, and the pair preceded to construct the most ear-pleasing rendition of Lego House to ever enter our ears!

Stick some plastic bricks together with Ed and Julian (above).

We love love LOVE when musicians add an extra special something into the melodious mix!

Our fave firecracker was spotted enjoying a laaaate night with some friends last night!

Lindsay Lohan, celebrated America's Birthday at SHOREbar in Santa Monica with her The Canyons co-star James Deen (not in the pic) and a few other pals.

To recap, James Deen ... is a porn star. So, there's that.

It appears the recently back-to-red head is really getting to know Deen.

The XXX star claims he and LiLo aren't hooking up, but we all know co-stars can't be trusted to always tell the truth! LOL!

Naturally, LL wasn't the only celeb at the joint. Katy Perry was also seen getting her drink and fireworks watching on at the hot spot.

Wonder if she and Lindso are buds??
