Model Jourdan Dunn REVEALS Her Son's STRUGGLES With Sickle-Cell Anemia

Model Jourdan Dunn recently opened about the difficulties her 3-year-old son Riley faces with sickle-cell anemia.  Deets inside...

Model Jourdan Dunn, the mother of 3-year-old son Riley (shown above), faced a bit of controversy when she revealed she was pregnant at the young age of 18, and her son's father getting arrested for cocaine after she gave birth at 19. And even walked a few runways with her baby bump.

Now, she's recently opened up about the very serious blood disease, sickle-cell anemia that Riley struggles with. 

Although Jourdan doesn't have the disease herself, she and the father of her son are among the 250,000 people in England estimated to carry the genetic mutation that causes it.

She tells the Sunday Times Style,

'I found out I carried it when I was pregnant, which was a huge shock.  The first time Riley had a crisis, I was working in New York and due to travel to Puerto Rico. [My] Mum was amazing and reassured me he was in the best hands and that I should keep working.'

She added, 'It's something people don't really know about, due to the fact it's genetic, so it doesn't have the high profile of HIV or malaria.  'Riley looks just like a normal boy, but I can't get away from the fact he has a serious disease.'

Riley now takes penicillin and folic acid daily as to help his symptoms.  Going forward, Jourdan says she plans to use her platform for support and awareness of the Sickle Cell Society, which she strongly supports.

Vanessa Bryant Pops Up In London, Despite Kobe's Shirtless Pics With Random Blondes

As daddy Kobe continues his Olympic basketball tournament with TEAM USA in London, his wife--who recently decided to not file those divorce papers--Vanessa Bryant showed up to support.  And she says she still there to support Kobe, despite those awkward shirtless pics of him and some blondes in Barcelona last week leaking on the net...

What do you do when your hubby is spotted partying with some blondes--even though the pics are explainable--you shop it up with his money.

Vanessa Bryant--clad in red pants, a black blazer and a red Chanel bag--was spotted making her way to Bond Street in Central London yesterday for some shopping.  She had daughters Natalia & Gianna with her, who rocked their own British style with Wellington boots.

And after pics surfaced of a shirtless Kobe Bryant at a party surrounded by a few chicks, an explanation followed.  Since Kobe has been in hot water--more than once--with his wife for cheating, he made sure to have a good excuse this time.

TMZ posted this pic and said Kobe was shirtless because someone spilled a drink on his shirt.  So he sent for a new clean one and sat idle--and shirtless--while waiting on a new one.  Oh, and the girls pictured with him, are reportedly married/in a relationship.  Vanessa's reported response?  She's disappointed that he put himself in the situation that pics like that would be taken out of context.

And while she shops it up in London for the next two weeks, Kobe and TEAM USA will be playing Tunisia tonight after their win Sunday afternoon.

And getting hugs from Mrs. O.

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Head Back To Broadway + 'Ye SHOOTS "Birthday Song" VIDEO With 2 Chainz

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were spotted leaving a Broadway play last night.  See their candids inside as pics of Kanye on the set of 2 Chainz "Birthday Song" video.

 

Not sure why but this whole relationship is starting to give me Diddy/J.Lo vibes back when they first started kickin' it and she all of a sudden started dressing lke she just stepped off the set of a hip hop video.

Anywho, last night, Kanye West and Kim K. were seen leaving the Al Hirshfeld Theatre in NYC where they took in the Broadway musical Fela!

While Kim wore a fitted green dress and booties, Kanye rocked his video set look with chainz, his fave keather pants,a nd a black tank.

Kanye even took the time to sign a few autographs.  Nice.

 

Earlier in the day.......

Kanye (decked out with his own Air Yeezys) was in Yonkers,NY where he filmed the "Birthday Song" video with 2 Chainz.

After shooting, 2 Chainz headed over to 40/40 for the official listening session for his Based On A T.R.U. Story album.  Lots of music dropping this summer...

VMA TIME: Rihanna & Drake LEAD The PACK With FIVE 2012 VMA Nods, Beyonce & Frank Ocean Nab Three

Pop star Rihanna and rapper Drake are the top nominated artists for the 2012 VMAs with five apiece. Get the deets on their noms inside and find out how Beyonce and Frank Ocean did......

Rihanna and Drake may both get tons of camera time at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards as they are the most nominated artists.

Both walked away with Video of the Year nods (“We Found Love” and "Take Care) while Drake's  “HYFR” video got him a nomination for Best Hip-Hop Video. 

Also, “Take Care” (which featured Rihanna) picked up Best Male Video, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography nods.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean and M.I.A. all landed three nominations.  WHile Chris Brown & Nicki Minaj landed two.

The 2012 MTV VMAs will air September 6 at 8 p.m. from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  So far, Alicia Keys has been booked to perform.

Iggy Azalea, the rapstress from down under, has teamed up with Pusha T on her new EP Glory. He pops up on a track called “Runway”. Speaking about the newly released EP, she said, 

“I was in this weird place where it felt like everyone was shitting on me, like, ‘She didn’t get that deal with Interscope. She got dropped! She won’t get another project!’ making it so much worse then any of it really was.  I felt like they wanted me to fail and I thought, I’m not going to go anywhere. I’m going to get my glory.”

As LaLa Anthony continues filming for "Full Court Life", she's seen chillin' with her girls more.  This weekend it was Kelly Rowland, now Ciara has hopped on camera to go to the spa with Mrs. Anthony.

Spotted walking toward a spa in L.A., Ciara spent Sunday afternoon with the cameras rolling behind her and her bestie LaLa Anthony.

Ci rocked her black and white sneakers while La kept it cutesy in her grey, purple & green "Easter" Air Jordan Retro 1's.

And while her hubby Carmelo is in London getting hugs from the First Lady after TEAM USA basketball won their pool in the Olympics Sunday morning...

We told you earlier about Tiffany Evans revealing that she's married and pregnant, and now she has shared photos of her baby bump with fans.

She looks so beautiful and glowing.  She tweeted post-pregnancy plans saying, "So I just booked my workout classes for after my delivery. To get my body back and better I'm doing Pole classes. Thats gonna be fun... ;)'

HOLLYWOOD COUPLES OUT & ABOUT: Michael Strahan & Nicole Murphy + Don Cheadle & Brigid + Ron Artest & Shin Shin

It was a weekend for couples as plenty of them were spotted out and about in L.A.  We've got "Hollywood Exes" star Nicole Murphy out with ehr boo Michael Strahan, actor Don Cheadle on a night out with his long time girlfriend of 20 years, and Ron Artest still parading around his chick Shin Shin...

Now that Nicole Murphy is raking in her own dough, she's more than happy to ride around and spend it.  With her retired football player boyfriend Michael Strahan.  The two were spotted shopping and chillin' around Malibu this weekend.

Nicole always looks great.

Also in L.A., Laker baller Ron Artest was spotted for the second time in one weekend with his artist turned girlfriend Shin Shin:

The two went out to Mr. Chow for some grub.  Dude looks like her daddy.

Also at Mr. Chow last night, Don Cheadle took his longtime girlfriend and mom of his two kids, Brigid Coulter, to dinner after his TCA event for his provocative show "House of Lies":

Don recently explained on "Chelsea Lately" why the twosome have chosen not to take the plunge and get married...after 20 years and 2 kids.  He also explained why he tends to call her his wife anyway:

"I say 'wife' because it's just easier.  We have 2 daughters --17 and 15--and my daughter just went on a college tour.  I fee like if we've done this for 20 years and it aint broke, we're not going to change anything."

He says Brigid is an actress and also designs homes.  As for how they managed to stay together so long, he said they've "been through some pretty major stuff."
