Lindsay Lohan To Tom Cruise: 'I Had NO Part In The Vanity Fair Story'

The Church of Scientology wanted Lindsay Lohan to mate with Tom Cruise!?

It's news to us, but someone close to her is telling sources that the Mean Girls star was in the running along with Scarlett Johansson!

Rumors flew around Hollywood way back in 2005 that David Miscavige and his followers were interviewing high-profile actresses to play the role of Cruise's wife and a brand new Vanity Fair exposé that hit the stands today says those rumors were TRUE!

LiLo, however, is adamant that she "had no part" in the magazine's controversial story and took to Twitter to write:

That's not the full truth and nothing but the truth according to an unnamed source who said:

"Lindsay met with Tom before he met Katie. At first, she was super excited to work with Tom and thought it was about a role in Mission: Impossible. It soon became clear that he wasn't looking for an actress but something very different."

It's hard to separate fact from fiction since Scientology is so dang strange, but at least she had the good sense not to even consider the Church's proposal!

Can U imagine Suri Cruise...if she popped out of Lindsay Lohan!?

More importantly...can anyone imagine Lindsay Lohan as a PARENT!? LOLz!

At least Scientology's alleged efforts produced one of the most adorable celebrity children of all time, but we're attributing most of that to Katie Holmes' good genes.

Drew Peterson GUILTY Of First Degree Murder!

Drew Peterson, a former police sergeant, has been found GUILTY of first degree murder in the horrific death of his ex-wife, Kathleen Savio.

A jury of seven men and five women came to this conclusion after two days of deliberation.

Kathy had been found dead in her bathtub on March 1, 2004. The tub was dry and clean...

Though Peterson plead not guilty, the prosecution was determined to prove he murdered her on February 29, 2004.

Peterson now faces up to 60 years in prison. His sentencing will take place in November. May justice be served!

Katie Holmes Feels Fortunate After Tom Cruise Divorce Case Has Been Done & Dusted!

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's divorce might have rocked Hollywood back in June, but it seems the scandal's leading lady has kept her head on straight!

After recently signing a deal with Bobbi Brown cosmetics and making her first public appearance post-split, things seem to be going pretty smoothly for Mz. Holmes!

In a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, Katie confessed:

"I have a lot of feelings about the press. There are a lot of people with much bigger problems and who are less fortunate. I try to keep it all in perspective."

Sounds like a good plan to us, Katie! Good to hear she's not dealing with the divorce like it's the end of the world!

As for Holmes' big Broadway return in Dead Accountants this November, to take her mind off things?

"It's a medium I really enjoy. I think both film and stage are so challenging, but in different ways. With film, yeah, you have another take, but a lot of the time you're losing the light, so you better nail it on that take. I haven't found any part of acting to be easy."

Seems like she's really keeping busy and separating herself from any Tom-centric dramz!

Holmes' NEW life motto? Not "being afraid to fail" because "at least you tried."

The besties for life discussed X Factor, Demi's frenemy relationship with Simon Cowell, her upcoming pre-show VMA performance (today!) AND Jimmy congratulated Dems on Give Your Heart A Break's steady climb to #1!

British ball of musical sunshine Cheryl Cole and her new boo, professional dancer Tre Holloway, were spotted Tuesday evening leaving London restaurant Sumosan after wining and dining for three luxurious hours (above)!

The pair look super comfy together, and Tre seems to emit the same level of positive energy that our Lady Chezza radiates on the reg... we wholeheartedly approve!

And we're glad to see Cheryl is no longer rockin' a sling from that scurry car crash she experienced with Will.I.Am!

Did Jason Trawick Make The First Move On Britney Spears? And How Does Mel Gibson Factor Into Their Romance?!

Well then!

We assumed there was more to this story than they were telling, but we still didn't expect for Mel Gibson to be thrown into the mix with it all!

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick recently opened up in an interview about how their romance began, and despite claims that the pop star made the first move, sources close to the pair have revealed that it was actually her fiance that got the love wheels turning...and all while they vacationed at the sometimes-volatile actor's house in Costa Rica!

Insiders explain:

"Jason absolutely made the first move on Britney and it happened when they were on vacation at Mel Gibson's Costa Rican vacation home. Britney's conservatorship had just been put in place, and Jason was one of the few people who was allowed to be with her at that very precarious time. Jason had feelings for Britney for a very, very long time and Costa Rica seemed like the perfect place to launch the romance. Things progressed very slowly, and over time and Britney eventually developed very strong feelings for him. Britney and Jason won't be getting married this year as there is just way too much going on in her life to plan a wedding. The wedding will be a small intimate affair."

Very inneresting, indeed!

And it would certainly make sense, as we DO recall Brit spending quite a bit of time down there as she recovered from all of the, ahem, 'stress' in her life around 2008!

Well, regardless of who made the first move and where and when, it's more than clear that these two are not only in love, but very good influences in each other's lives, so we're just happy that things have worked out so well!

Here's hoping that even if it's not this year, wedding bells will be ringing for Brit and Jason SOON!

American Idol Runner-Up Jessica Sanchez WOWS Crowd During DNC Performance!

Jessica Sanchez may have lost the American Idol crown to Phillip Phillips last season, but she won BIG at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night!

Her soulful cover of Marvin Gaye's You're All I Need to Get By (above) brought the entire audience to their feet as everyone grooved along with the young singer and the God's Appointed People Choir, all of whom did an amazing job backing Sanchez's incredible vocals up!

Isn't it crazy that voice is only 17 years old!? It's SO powerful and is DEFINITELY going places in the music industry!

Kristen Stewart Is Gonna Get Ripped A New One During Kevin Hart's VMA Monologue!

Guess who isn't "off limits" from VMA jokes after all!

If you read the headline you probably know it's.... Kristen Stewart!

A couple weeks ago we were told that VMA host Kevin Hart was instructed to "refrain from mentioning" her cheating on Robert Pattinson.

But it appears Kevin has thrown his instructions away! The comic put the ugly rumor to rest at a press conference Tuesday, when he told reporters:

"The beauty of me being the host is you don't know what to expect. NOBODY is off limits. I think it's my job to put the room in a place where people can relax and have a good time. And the best way to do that is to show people they can poke fun at themselves."

We know what that means! KStew roasting time!

Since R-Partz WILL be in the audience, we're sure hoping Hart doesn't go too hard on her.

But like he says -- we don't know what to expect!!

It's War! More Details On What Caused Beyoncé And Kim Kardashian Feud At Made In America!

Well, guess THIS explains her frosty attitude!

We reported earlier that Beyoncé was apparently cold as ice to Kim Kardashian while both were in attendance at the Budeweiser Made In America music festival last weekend, which the diva's husband Jay-Z curated. Now, new details have emerged that explain what exactly went down between the ladies!

And it ain't pretty!

According to sources, Beyoncé became livid when she realized Kim was using her time at the event to weasel her way into a documentary being filmed by Ron Howard about the Empire State of Mind rapper, and wasted no time sitting the reality starlet down and setting her straight!

Insiders explain further, saying:

"Kim was desperate for attention in the VIP area and was getting in the way of cameras that were supposed to be filming Jay-Z. She kept saying she was a huge fan of Ron Howard and would do anything to be cast in one of his films, so Kim was using this as an opportunity to impress the movie maverick. However, Beyonce wasn't amused that Kim was using her husband's documentary to audition for Ron. So, she took Kim to one side and told her that the day wasn't about her, it was about Jay-Z, his work in organizing the event and there were other celebrities and musicians there that needed coverage too. Kim was fuming that the spotlight wasn't on her – but Ron was there for Jay-Z, not her, and he really didn't care if she was or wasn't taking part in any of the filming. Step forward Jay-Z, as gracious as he is, to act as peacemaker. He said to Beyonce that she needs to play nice with Kim because he is pals with Kanye. But the damage was done. Later that night, Kim phoned her mom Kris to complain about the harsh treatment she thought she got at the festival. She just isn't used to not getting what she wants."

OUCH!

Can't imagine THAT could have been too comfy a conversation!

But can't say we blame her for speaking up! She was just protecting her man, after all!

Here's hoping they can both forgive and move forward, though!

It's either that or a whole lot of awkward double date nights with their men in the future!
