Celebrate the birthday of the freshest of princes inside... Will Smith turns 44 today! And the I Am Legend star, rapper, producer & director is looking sexier than ever. With an equally sexy & talented wife, Jada, 3 star kids in their own right, Willow, Jaden & Trey, Will has led his family to the throne of Hollywood royalty. After heading up multiple sequels of Men In Black, Bad Boys, and I, Robot, Will's still taking over 2012 with more starring roles and producing from behind the scenes. 50 Cent is still not convinced the medical examiner's initial report, ruling his long time friend and manager Chris Lighty a suicide, was fully correct. Since Chris' brother and mother also feel further investigation should be done, 50 is paying for his own investigation into Chris' death.
Details inside and why the will is raising eyebrows... When Violator, Inc. founder Chris Lighty was found dead of an apparent suicide last month, people close to Chris and throughout the industry were shocked. While suicides are rarely predictable, this case appeared totally out of the ordinary for someone like the industry exec. After a second autopsy was ordered by Chris' family, it was performed by former NY Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Baden, and results were found to be "inconclusive". It is no question that a gun shot was the cause of death. But tests are still pending to determine if the shots were self-inflicted or not. Now, 50 Cent has hired a high powered private investigation firm, at the request of Chris' mother, to look further into the case.
What has raised even more eyebrows is what was in Chris' will. The final document was obtained by Fox 5 in NY. Chris willed his wife, Veronica Lighty, everything. Plus, he left a $1.6 mill trust to his kids. Interestingly, many believed Veronica and Chris were divorcing years ago when she filed papers. But just recently, she made it known that she retracted those papers a few weeks later. Except for a fund set aside for his children, the will says if he is survived by his wife, "I give my entire residuary estate, real and personal, to her." That's a lot of power and many in the industry are questioning a few things. The 52-year-old, who was close friends with Chris Lighty, ends his long time career with the company at the end of this month. The chief executive of the recorded music division said in a statement:

Frank Ocean dropped a brand new rap track on Tumblr last night called "Blue Whale." The sing hit the net while he simultaneously performed a concert in Manhattan. While rocking the stage at The Fader and Vitamin Water's final #Uncapped concert of the year in NYC last night, Frank Ocean posted some new audio to his Tumblr account. Mr. Ocean brings his chill demeanor to the rap track with a dope beat. No hook, just his constant thoughts. Check it.

Maybach Music Group recently announced their new 23-city tour, which will also feature Bad Boy's Machine Gun Kelly. Chris Brown has been on the up and up as his probation hearings with the judge continue. But after today's hearing, the "Don't Judge Me" singer was found to have marijuana in his system after a drug test.
Deets inside, plus Wiz Khalifa & The Weeknd's new track "Remember You".... After taking an ordered drug test in Virginia back in June, Judge Patricia Schnegg in L.A. revealed today that Chris Brown tested positive for marijuana. In order to keep with the terms of his 5-year-probationary period, illegal drugs like weed just aren't allowed. The Judge told a silent Chris in court today:
There was no repercussion given at the time of the hearing, but the Judge did order an additional hearing in November to review various probation records. According to the Chicago Tribune, Judge Schnegg stated that Chris produced a medical marijuana card after the positive test. As for his exact medical condition requiring marijuana doses--who knows. His ex, Rihanna, who was the victim of the night Chris received the assault charges for, tweeted words of support right before his hearing today saying:

In a sneak peek of her 3-part interview with Nancy O'Dell from "Entertainment Tonight," Tameka Raymond addresses the allegations that Usher cheated on her with one of her bridesmaids before their wedding. Tameka says she knows Usher made it known that he cheated with her bridesmaid, who was also a family friend who even took Tameka to the hospital for the birth of her first child. But Tameka revealed she actually feels more sympathy for the bridesmaid than Usher. Because he took advantage of her vulnerability and "we all know how charming he can be." Oh? New team...new arena...new dancers. There's a whole lot of newness over in Brooklyn. But are we feeling the Brooklynettes' (yes, that's the name of the squad who cheers on the ballers) new uniforms? Check 'em inside... Nope, this isn't merchandise up for sale for you to hit the club or the corner in. They're the new uniforms for the 20-person team of cheerleader/dancers for the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z, who is partial owner of the team, had the responsibility of designing the new Nets logo. And the black and white themed arena and team colors have, of course, extended to the Brooklynettes. Some folks think it's a glammed up refreshed look that will shake up NBA dance teams. But we don't know if that shake up is a good thing. The NY Post spoke to the designer, who says he loves a "pop star look", for an explanation:
All the looks feature the logos in black and white...with short skirts and pleather-like low cut material and multi-printed catsuits and all. And yes, the fingerless gloves, boots and latex are all a part of the look. Not sure how these chicks are about to dance in this, but I'm sure we'll see soon.
We have an eerie feeling HouseOfDamnIt'sWrong has something to do with this. But still... DO WE LOVE IT?! |

Diana Ross has a brand new granddaughter! Her daughter, Chudney, gave birth to her own baby girl, Callaway Lane, last Wednesday. And Chudney posted the first pic for the world to see her new bundle of joy.... She was 9 days past her delivery date when Chudney Ross welcomed her first baby, Callaway Lane. The daughter of the singing legend Diana Ross posted on Facebook the below pic of her cutie saying:
Awww. Baby Callaway's dad is Chudney's boyfriend, Joshua Faulkner. And she's got a fabulous aunt, Tracee, to catch some hot hand-me-downs from when she gets older. Congrats to the couple! |

Making her first appearance on "The View" today, "Starships" rapper Nicki Minaj brought her tight striped pants and military like hat & blazer on to the show to inform the co-hosts and audience about who she really is under that blonde wiggery. Nicki talked about where the word "Barbz" came from, how she was discovered by Lil Wayne from the underground scene, her new gig and perfume, why she takes no responsibility for her 5-6 year old fans because "parents need to parent their own kids" and more. Cynthia & Peter Bailey looked like heightened versions of their usual selves. But Cynthia was actually going as Mahogany with her Billy Dee Williams escort.

In what seems like an extension of his funny daddy role from the film The Backup Plan, Anthony Anderson's starring in a new comedy about dads. Anthony's holding down the household by trying to rule his kids...but we all know how that's going to end up. After kicking off the pilot last week, the official new episode premiere goes down this week. And as one of very few network shows by a YBF actor, we're offering up support.
