Beyonce & Tina Knowles DESIGN President Barack Obama's Re-Election T-Shirt + B.I.C. Cops $1.5M In Baby Gifts?

Posted: 13 Jan 2012 09:49 AM PST

Beyonce Knowles and her stylish mom Tina are doing their part to keep President Obama in The White House as the pair are two of the celebs who have designed a fundraising re-election t-shirt for his 2012 campaign.  It's all a part of the Runway to Win campaign, which is a follow up to the Runway To Change 2008 campaign.  See the tee inside and find out which celebs sent Baby Blue Ivy Carter gifts......

Beyonce and Tina Knowles have launched a t-shirt for the fashion-inspired campaign Runway to Win, a part of President Barack Obama re-election bid.  The t-shirt has inspirational writings on it along with an American flag.

It's all part of a fundraising effort with several designers--including Tracey Reese, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Rachel Roy, Jason Wu, Sean Combs, Thakoon, and plenty more.

It will retail for $45 (other designers' items are going for as much as $95) and every penny goes to Obama’s re-election campaign. The sale will kick off on the President's official site on February 7.  Will you support?

Also......

Though she's only a few days old, Baby Blue Ivy Carter has already had a better birthday than you and I can imagine.  The New York Post is reporting that she's received gifts totaling $1.5 million! This includes a handmade solid gold horse from Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka ($600,000) price tag, a coach-like crib from Posh Tots ($20,000) and a $15,000 Swarovski crystal covered highchair. Oh, and a Cartier diamond dummy (likely to keep all her jewelry on) from an unnamed celeb.  Also, Oprah Winfrey sent over a load of books.   Reportedly, The Carters will be donating several of the items they received to a charity for young mothers.  Check the video above.

Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland reportedly gave Blue a Bob Marley onesie and a $5,200 Swarovski crystal baby bathtub.

Must be nice!

BOOK IT: Jennifer Hudson Flaunts Her Gams In A Little Orange Dress

Posted: 13 Jan 2012 08:50 AM PST

Jennifer Hudson is all about showing off her new bod these days. And we don't blame her.  The "I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down" author signed copies of her new book at Barnes & Nobles at The Grove in L.A. yesterday.

Pics of her getting leggy inside...

30-year-old Jennifer Hudson rocked an eye catching orange mini dress (great color for her!), along with tan wedges, oversized gold and lavender earrings, and cute blue nail polish to accessorize.

She autographed books for her fans and looked happier than ever.

This past Sunday in an interview with Dateline, Jenny revealed that she was shocked when she was digitally slimmed down for her self-titled 2008 album cover:

'It’s like "Where’s the rest of me?" They Photoshopped me probably to the size I am now on that cover, when we all know I was nowhere near that.

'To me, it did not send out a good message. And it did not represent me well. Did I not just prove that talent is enough if I made it this far? Being who I am, being the size that I am?'

And she also denies the rumors that she turned down the leading role in Precious--which ended up being played by Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe.  She told TMZ this week:

"I did NOT turn down the role because of the weight thing ... I turned it down because I felt it was just too graphic for me at that time."

But folks believe she contradicted herself since on Sunday's Dateline interview, she answered the same question with: "I would have had to be the big girl again.  I don't like the idea of being boxed into anything."

Taraji P. Henson COVERS "UPSCALE" Magazine's February 2011 Issue And DISHES On Being SNUBBED By "TV Guide" And PLAYING A Bad Girl

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 05:10 PM PST

Fab actress Taraji P. Henson posed for the February 2011 issue of "UPSCALE" Magazine where she dishes on motherhood, playing a bad girl acting in Think Like A Man, and the challenges she faces as a Black actress. Deets inside.....

Think Like A Man star Taraji P. Henson covers "UPSCALE" and dishes in the magazine about the VERY public snub she received from TV Guide last year, playing a bad girl on film, and the challenges she faces as a mom and actress.  Here are the highlights....

On being a mom first, actress second:

“This Hollywood thing? It’s my job. That’s it. I love it and I worked hard for it. But it by no means defines who I am. When I go home, my family and friends say, ‘I liked your movie. Now can you go was your dishes please?”

On speaking up and not apologetic about the TV Guide incident that snubbed her from the “Person Of Interest” cover story:

“I just stated a fact. And the people spoke. And then CBS pulled the whole cover. I get that all the time. Sometimes I admit I feel like, ‘Can I catch a break?’ That wasn’t the first time it’s happened and it won’t be the last. This was just one time I chose to speak on it.”

On facing fully forward and looking for new challenges:

“Hollywood keeps trying to tell me that black women can’t open a film. I will absolutely prove them wrong before my career is done. I want to stretch my acting muscle and do something completely different. I’d love to play a man. Sounds weird, but I want to do something that make me work hard. Call me kooky, but I always want to go outside my comfort zone.”

On playing a bad girl for the first time in the upcoming ‘Think Like A Man’ film:

“You’ve never seen me play this girl. She’s a bitch. And she’s the pretty girl in the film. I wanted this role so bad. I told the casting folks,’if you don’t let me get that role, I don’t need to be in this movie at all.’ They were thinking about casting a white girl for the role and I said, ‘No. I can do this.’ And then of course, when it’s time to start filming, I freaked out. I said, wait’ Maybe I should play the baby-momma instead….[LOL] I was scared because it’s so different than anything I’ve ever done.”

Looking good Taraji!

Evelyn Lozada: I'm STILL Not Friends With Jennifer!

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 03:21 PM PST

TheYBF.com caught up with "Basketball Wife" Evelyn Lozada at Tuesday night's book release party for Big Boy.  Apparently she and "Basketball Wife" co-star Jennifer Williams STILL haven't kissed and made up.  And she gave us the status (of the moment) of her and fiance Chad Johnson's wedding plans.  Check it inside...

At the Sayers Club in Hollywood Tuesday night, Evelyn revealed her beef with frenemy Jen is still going strong.  She dished to us:

"We're currently filming so I can't say but so much.  But I think it's out there that we're not speaking.  I will confirm that.  And she actually confirmed it in another interview.  It's stemming from last season, but you'll see. You guys have to give me your opinion on that after--if you were in my positon how would you feel?"

The Dolce shoe boutique owner (who also has her own book coming out on the same Cash Money Content label as Big) said the two of them actually spoke off camera, but nothing came of it:

"I honestly thought [we were going to make it]. We actually had a conversation outside of filming, and I was like, things happen--you get caught up in interviews and whatever.  But..it wasn't over.

After last week's back and forth about whether the wedding with fiance Chad Johnson was still on--she confirms they are indeed still in planning mode.  And VH1 is still figuring out production of the couple's new show together.

And about making babies--she says she's trying to make the most out of "this."  (And by "this" we guess she's talking about her newfound fame.)  And she's not trying to be pregnant during it all.

SAD AMBER! Amber Rose Breaks Down Crying, Says Kanye Fans Throw Things At Her On The Street

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 01:06 PM PST

Amber Rose is sad y'all.  While taping an appearance for MTV's RapFix, she broke down crying because of all the haters she encounters.  Check out the video inside...

While out pubbing her new single "Fame," Amber stopped by MTV's RapFix to remind us about her love for Wiz Khalifa, and tell the world how Kanye and his fans treat her.

"Wiz knows that I've never loved a man the way I love him. He knows that, he's very secure with that.  He knows that know matter what I would never go back to that. and he also knows that I haven't talked in so long--so nobody really knows my side of the story. No-one knows what I've been through. The things that I've had to deal with when Kanye made his album. And he talked reckless about me on his album. And them I have people throwing things at me in the street because they're fans of Kanye's."

And after host Sway tried to change the subject, she cried:

"I'm just crying because I don't deserve to bullied like that.  I'm a nice girl, I don't bother anybody. And I keep my mouth shut because I don't want any trouble. But to be bullied through music and through stuff like that it's not fair to me. I don't deserve that."

Amber is a sweet girl.  And getting negativity even when you're nice isn't a foreign concept in celebrityville.  There's a difference between being a celebrity and being a musician. So if Amber has always wanted to make music like she says, but supposedly hates the negativity and attention from the public, maybe making the music without going on voluntary promo rounds or accepting "celebrity" appearances is a better idea.  Just a thought...

TWITTER BEEF! Nancy "Mama Jones" GOES IN ON Yandy And Olivia, Says You Can S*CK My **IT!

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 12:50 PM PST

"Love & Hip Hop" star Nancy "Mama Jones" isn't known for holding her tongue but she REALLY went all the way in on Twitter earlier with a raunchy set of tweets aimed at co-stars Yandy and Olivia that are barely printable.....BUT we have them for you inside!

On this week's "Love & Hip Hop" episode, Olivia made fun of Nancy's husky voice, which you would think is pretty innocent right? WRONG!

Nancy went off. She took to her Twitter account and lived up to her mantra, "I'm a Psychotic B*tch!" calling both Yandy and Olivia a series of dirty names and alluding to Olivia being passed around G Unit!

Here are her tweets (which have been deleted):

But it didn't stop there......

Whoa.

Olivia got wind of the tweets and said,

For her part, Yandy has not responded.  And she shouldn't.

I know Nancy is disrespectful but I couldn't see seriously arguing with a woman her age.  Hot ass mess.

Solange Talks New Sexually Charged Music+Lil Wayne Readies His Memoir--Based On His Jail Diaries

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 12:24 PM PST

Solange Knowles and her envious natural curls are being featured in the upcoming annual Music Issue of V magazine.  Check out her pretty pics inside and what she had to say about her upcomign sexy music, plus news on Lil Wayne's upcoming memoir....

Solange has been putting her unique looks to good use--first as the Rimmel spokeswoman, then Carol's Daughter, now signing to Next Models.  And the 25-year-old singer is being featured as a part of V's Fearless Females coverage in the upcoming issue.  She rocked a white Jil Sander blouse and green Bess NYC by Doug Abraham jacket.

When asked about why she has chosen to release her music on her own, versus going with a major label, she says:

I'm lucky enough to have been in this business for so long that I know how it works.  It's not rocket science.

More pics below:

Solange, who is featured alongside fellow Carol's Daughter spokeswoman Cassie, also revealed that her upcoming album will be very sexually charged.  Here's some highlights:

On her new album:
There are a lot of songs about sex. It’s the kind of record you put on when your man is coming over, when you’re with your girls. There are songs that make you wanna dance because we were kind of partying our way through the record, but it’s very chill. My references for the record were all Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, not just their typical Janet and Prince stuff, but SOS Band and their b-sides with Chaka Khan. At first the songs were really dark because I had a premonition before the record that I was going to die. I was having panic attacks and wiling out. [But] I don’t need anyone telling me ‘this isn’t cool enough’ or anyone from the opposite end saying ‘this seems kind of weird.’

On maintaining her independence by releasing her music herself:

“I don’t need anyone telling me ‘this isn’t cool enough’ or anyone from the opposite end saying ‘this seems kind of weird.’ I’m lucky enough to have been in this business for so long that I know how it works. It’s not that hard. It’s not rocket science.”

On her new domestic role:
Now being in a stable situation, sometimes that feels f**ked up within itself. I’ve been on the road my entire life since I was 13, even when I had my son he came on the road with me. Now that he’s in school where there is a real structure, we have to be home during those times. Being that grounded feels really foreign to me.

I wonder if her long time boyfriend Alan has anything to do with that new album direction.

And if you ever wanted to know what was going through Lil Wayne's mind while he was in lockup this last go-round, he's letting you know in his upcoming memoir.

Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, announced today that it will publish GONE TILL NOVEMBER, a book by Lil Wayne, on November 28, 2012. The fine literary work wil be based on diaries he kept during his eight months on Rikers Island.  And it's the first opprutunity for fans to get inside the unique and enigmatic mind of one of the biggest names in hip hop.

GCP's Executive Editor Ben Greenberg explained today:

“We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir. He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.”

The memoir will showcase his journals he kept while incarcerated in the form of an internal monologue, detailing his thoughts and feelings, the strange people he met, his plans, his family, and his children.  Will you be copping this?

Rapper Tyga & Stripper Girlfriend Blac Chyna Hit The Clippers Game, Will Star In Strip Club Reality Show?

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 11:07 AM PST

If you thought strippers and ho*s were winning in 2011...peep what's about to pop off in 2012.  Fresh off his Vegas arrest last weekend, Young Money rapper Tyga hit up last night's Clippers game with his new boo, popular King of Diamonds stripper Blac Chyna.  And now, we hear the twosome may appear on an upcoming reality show based on the Miami stripclub.

Pics and deets inside...

Tyga was spotted arriving to the Staples Center last night kiki'ing with his boo Blac Chyna.  She's a well known stripper at the popular Miami strip club King of Diamonds.

Word has it a new reality show called "Queen of Strip" will be airing on--you guessed it, VH1--very soon.  And though the network hasn't confirmed, reports say the show will focus on strippers like Blac Chyna and all her friends at the King of Diamonds strip club.  By the way, the club is owned by Trick Daddy's father.  Check out the foolywang "announcement" from the club owners here.

Tyga and Chyna were spotted taking in the Clippers vs. Heat next to D-Wade's boo Gabby Union and comedian Aziz Ansari:

The twosome also spent the Holidays and NYE together, and Chyna posted this pic on her site around that time:

And, of course, Ms. Chyna is Tyga's lead video girl in his new "Rack City" video:

I guess we should have been in the Gifted & Talented stripper program instead of afterschool extra curriculars and AP classes.  Because we clearly see what's winning around these parts....

WHOA: Odd Future's Syd the Kyd Talks Being A Lesbian, Says Alicia Keys & Queen Latifah Should COME OUT OF THE CLOSET

Posted: 12 Jan 2012 10:04 AM PST

Odd Future isn't known for holding their toungue.  The talented musical group made up of umpteen members who sing, rap, dance, produce--notably Frank Ocean and Tyler The Creator--has gotten into plenty of trouble for saying whatever they want.

Now another member, Syd the Kyd, says she would have wanted Queen Latifah and Alicia Keys as her role models while she navigated growing up a lesbian.  Her words inside...

The lone female of Odd Future, singer/DJ Syd the Kid, is about to set it off.  For one, she's creating a duo called The Internet with another member of the group--Matt Martians.

And in a new interview with LA Weekly, she is opening up about her lesbianism. She also says she wishes Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah, and Alicia Keys would have come out of the closet to be a role model for her.

On the lack of out-of-the-closet gay urban artists:
Syd: "There's Alicia Keys, who's married to Swizz Beats - we know that shit ain't real. You got Queen Latifah kissing Common in movies. Missy Elliott saying she don't wanna hang with bitches. You know she loves her some bitches."

On coming out via The Internet's "Cocaine" video:
Syd: "I decided to do it because I wish I had someone like that [an openly gay female artist] while I was coming up. People write on my Tumblr just thanking me for making the video, saying that I really inspire them, and they want to be like me. But I wasn't always this way, this comfortable with myself, and I remember what that was like. So I figure, fuck it. Everyday people aren't given this opportunity and I realize that. And I didn't at first. I thought I was just lucky to be along for the ride."

On homosexuality in the media:
Syd: "We didn't make the video to make a statement about Odd Future and homophobia. It was to showcase a song by the Internet. But over the years I've come across so many dyke singers, dyke rappers, people with real heart and passion, and it's a shame that not one of them has made it. And I get it, the world is just now starting to become open about homosexuality. I can't really say I've contributed to that, and I'm grateful to the people who have set a path for me to be who I am today. And I guess in that sense I want to return the favor."

On getting asked that question:
Syd: "I put myself out there because I'm sick of people asking. I've been asked it so many times. It's annoying, it's like, you can't answer that yourself? And awkward because it's not like they're going up to the other guys in the group and asking if they're straight. Now I don't have to answer that question outright. Because I don't want to. It's not that I'm not proud of who I am.  Do I look straight to you? Shit, you got your answer -- go watch 'Cocaine.'"

Oh....
