Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade celebrated his 30th birthday last night at the Setai Hotel on Miami Beach. See pics of the bash with Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland and T.I. Deets inside...
He doesn't turn the big 3-0 until tomorrow. But last night, Dwyane Wade celebrated his 30th birthday--hosted by his boo Gabby and sister Arlesha--in Miami with a celebrity-studded event and over 400 invited guests. And if that wasn't enough, he also had performances from his homies T.I., Common and Rick Ross.
Gabby Union, fresh off her BET Honors hosting duties, rocked a gorgeous purple gown with a high slit and deep gold pumps.
T.I. and wife Tiny made their way inside. Mad about someting Tameka?
"X Factor: UK" host Kelly Rowland wore a bow-covered white blouse and jeans. All set off with tangerine suede pumps.
Inside the party, she kicked it with Gabby who changed up her look into a sexy little navy dress.
Rapper Ricky Rozay came out to show love to D-Wade.
Chris and Adrienne Bosh came out to support Dwyane.
And teammate LeBron James also made an appearance.

"Love & Hip Hop" star and rapper Jim Jones' mom--Mama Jones--did an interview for New Orleans' radio station Q93 where she talked about her recent twitter beefs with Yandy and Olivia, as well as her relationship with Chrissy. Deets inside.... Mama Jones recently called down to New Orleans to discuss what's going on in her life and her beefs with her "Love & Hip Hop" co-stars. Here are the highlights... On her "brand" Says she enjoys working on her clothing/t-shirt line and other projects because it gives her something to do. She says she can't be home in a rocking chair, "I'm not built for that." On her daughter-in-law-to-be Chrissy "We are good now." She adds that she was raised to believe in "family" and hopes she and Chrissy will grow closer. On Olivia "I think she is rude....and maybe she thinks because she doesn't have a relationship wtih her own mother that she can take it out on other people's mothers. But I'm not the one." She added, "She called me nasty...we are not the same age. She needs to call me Miss Nasty or Miss Jones....And when I see her.....it's a bad bad day." On Yandy She says she was offended by Chrissy and Yandy's fight. She says Yandy does "too much" and oversteps her boundaries as a manager. As she put it, "Sit your ass down." But she says there is a chance they could "make up" in the future. On how the show depicts Black women Surprisingly, she AGREES that the show depicts negative images of Black women! She also added that if she REALLY had a problem with someone she would meet them off camera because she would not allow herself to fight on national tv. Oh....

We adore these rare and vintage pics and video of a happy, loving and smiling Dr. King with his wife, Coretta, and good friend and fellow civil rights activist, Harry Belafonte....
We came across the above 1956 photo...coincidentally just the day before we observe Dr. King's Born Day...and it captured our hearts. So often the masses focus on solely the iconic social and political influences he brought to the world. But it's also important to see the human side of someone so great. Because it makes their greatness seem that much more attainable for our own selves. And inspires us to do our part in carrying on the legacy.
Check out this rare video of Martin Luther King, Jr. on a talk show cracking a joke--not the way he's usually perceived in tv/media at that time--and breaking his always serious image while talking about his turbulent flight from Washington, DC the day before:

Rihanna jetted over to Hawaii this weekend for a little vacation. And she decided to partake in a little kush action. Pics of Rih smoking a blunt inside... LaLa Anthony brought her 4-year-old son, Kiyan, to Tastebuds in NYC for a playdate with singer Christian Milian's daughter Violet, who turns 2 next month. Tastebuds is where kids go to cook, learn, and play via a creative culinary playground.
La looked cute in her pink suede Louboutin pumps and fur jacket and black Balenciaga bag. And the duo met up with Christina Milian and Violet Nash:
Cute. LaLa tweeted a pic as they made their pizza and cupcakes and said: "Cooking classes w/@CMilianOfficial, Kiyan, and Violet..soo fun!! And MESSY!"

The stars were out at The Beverly Hilton tonight to see who took home a prestigious Golden Globe award. And congrats are in order for actors Idris Elba & Octavia Spencer who took home top awards of the night! Deets inside...
Earlier tonight, the ridiculously sexy Idris Elba won one of the top honors--the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television award for "Luther." The British actor thanked his daughter, Isan, who he said was having a Golden Globes party at home. Sweet! More pics of Idris posing with his award in the press room and photoshoot room:

And actress Octavia Spencer also won one of the top awards tonight: Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture award for "The Help." She was shocked by the win, but pulled it together enough during her acceptance speech to thank everyone, including Martin Luther King, Jr., whose birthday we observe tomorrow. She commented, "Martin Luther King Jr. said it best: All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance!"
Congrats to Octavia!
Actor Morgan Freeman received the distinguished Cecil B. DeMille award. And as he thanked the iconic Sidney Poitier, who also received this award, for presenting him with the accomplishment, Morgan said he would rename the award in his house to the Sidney Poitier award. Nice! And congrats to YBF actor David Harewood, whose "Homeland" cast won the much deserved award for Best Television Series - Drama.

The 69th Annual Golden Globes red carpet was indeed a fabulous one tonight. Pics of the YBF celebs who graced the carpet with their presence inside...
Before the Hollywood celebs sat down for dinner and host Ricky Gervais' jokes tonight at the Beverly Hilton, they showed off their glam looks on the 2012 Golden Globes red carpet.
Mission Impossible star and presenter for the night Paula Patton made a bold statement in this extremely bright yellow Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 strapless gown. The fitted and ruched bodice with mermaid hem works for her body:
Loved the hair, makeup, and minimal jewelry--diamond earrings by Kwiat. Bold color, but she pulled it off nicely. One of the most sophisticated looks we've seen her in lately.
Viola Davis, nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for The Help, showed up in a sexy cranberry one shoulder Emilio Pucci gown which showed off her uber toned arms:
And showed off her gams too. She kept to the rich tones of her look and rocked gold Fred Leighton jewels and a gold box clutch.
And she's getting this makeup game down to a tee. Fab.
Mary J. Blige was nominated for Best Original Song in aMotion Picture for her track, "The Living Proof," she wrote and performed for The Help.
And she rocked her usual earth tone glittering and fitted halter style dress by Michael Kors. The feathers on the bottom of the dress are a bit different than the norm for her, but it just feels like we always see her in a dress such as this.
TV Correspondent Shaun Robinson departed from her usual pageant-girl look and did a more simple black jersey material dress by Impero Couture with a one-sleeved flowing white bodice. She rocked black ankle strap sandals by Adrienne Maloof, a Swarovski clutch and jewelry by Dena Kemp.
And Octavia Spencer, nominated for Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for The Help, went the trendy spring route as well on the carpet tonight:
She rocked a lavender chiffon cap sleeved Tadashi Shoji gown with crystal embellishments gathering the middle of the bodice. And had matching lavender Christian Louboutin pumps to match. Very pretty color for her. But I wish she smiled more. Good luck to all the nominees! |

Multiple fights broke out inside the club which caused Trina's security to pull her from the stage. But Lil Kim was unfazed...of course...and jumped on stage and performed.
Friday night, rapper besties Lil' Kim and Trina hosted a party together in Tampa at the Channelside IMAX Theater. Lil' Kim rapped along to a couple of her tracks for the crowd and surprisingly got it poppin' to Drake's song feat. Lil' Wayne 'Motto'. So much for that beef those two had a while back... | Halle & Nahla Have Some Fun At Disneyland For Olivier's Birthday! Posted: 15 Jan 2012 09:45 AM PST You're never too old to go to the Happiest Place On Earth. So Halle Berry and daughter Nahla did just that to wrap up Halle's beau, Olivier's, 46th birthday weekend yesterday. Pics of the trio having a good ol' time inside....
Halle and her 3-year-old daughter Nahla enjoyed a big day at Disneyland yesterday afternoon. They were spotted taking in the parade with Halle's boyfriend and birthday boy (his actual b-day was on Thursday) Olivier Martinez. Olivier had fun riding Space Mountain while Nahla drove bumper cars with mommy at Utopia. Nahla can barely see over the steering wheel--how cute! Looks like Mr. Martinez brought back his own gift of balloons for little Nahla.
