Heidi Klum & Seal haven’t split yet, they’re trying to work through their issues Posted: 22 Jan 2012 08:15 AM PST As CB discussed yesterday, Heidi Klum and Seal might be close to divorce, according to a report on TMZ. Since TMZ released the shocking news – that Heidi WILL file for divorce shortly – other media outlets have been playing catch-up, trying to get a statement from either Heidi or Seal. So far, "unnamed sources" are the only ones talking. First up, Us Weekly: On Saturday, TMZ reported that Heidi Klum and Seal were heading for a divorce, and that Klum would be filing the papers citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. But Us Weekly has learned, exclusively, that the supermodel, 38, and her husband of six years, 48, are still together — for now. “Nothing is finalized or for sure. Seal flew back from the UK yesterday and he and Heidi are in the house together now,” friend close to the couple tells Us. “They’ve had a very rough road lately. They’re either madly in love or having crazy fights.” The friend goes on to say that the couple’s recent trip to Aspen was full of tension, adding “they fought a lot. It was a very hard trip.” Seal, who’s famous for his 1994 single “Kiss from a Rose” is set to spend the next month in Australia, where he will serve as a coach on the Aussie leg of the vocal competition show The Voice, alongside Joel Madden. “It’s been very hard. but there is a lot of love there, and any decision that will be made is a tough one because they have beautiful children who they both love very deeply,” the friend says. The couple has three biological children, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2, plus Klum’s 7-year-old daughter from her previous marriage, Leni, whom Seal adopted in 2009. [From Us Weekly] People Magazine's source has the same idea – the source says: “They’ve been fighting a lot lately, but they have no plans to announce a split right now. They’re not divorcing.” While Seal has been away from LA, their relationship struggled, but now that he's back at their Brentwood house, the source says “they seem to be doing a lot better… They’re both wearing their wedding bands.” So what could have caused all of the rumors and reports of a split? The Mail claims that Heidi wasn't pleased with Seal's recent partying ways: New claims have emerged that Heidi Klum is divorcing her husband Seal because of his hard partying. Hollywood’s golden couple and their management are still yet to comment on yesterday’s reports of a split, but a source has said their relationship was in trouble because the singer was ‘off the rails’. The tension is believed to have started when the pair holidayed with their three children, and Heidi’s daughter from a previous relationship, in Ibiza in August. A source told the Sunday Mirror: ‘They were always the couple everybody strived to be but lately it all started to change. Seal seems to have been partying a lot more often than usual. When they had their holiday in Ibiza last summer, Seal hit it hard, was out at clubs and with his friends a lot and Heidi was left with their kids trying to enjoy herself. The cracks were appearing and everybody was talking during that trip. He seemed off the rails.’ The insider added: ‘They’ve spent a lot of time apart too on work assignments and that hasn’t helped matters. Then when Seal came back to the UK to do promotional work for his next album, he seemed sleepy and not with it on shows like Loose Women, when he was very late for his appearance.’ German-born Heidi, 38, is reportedly expected to file papers at Los Angeles' County Superior Court this week citing irreconcilable differences between the pair who married at Seal's beachfront home in Mexico in 2005. A spokesman for the former Victoria's Secret model yesterday said a statement was being prepared which would be released imminently. A spokesman for Seal, 48 – real name Seal Henry Samuel – did not return calls but a cryptic message posted on the singer's Twitter page on Friday read: 'The End.' The message was attached to a picture that appeared to show the star's forearm bearing an imprint of a set of wings – a possible reference to Miss Klum's role as a Victoria's Secret winged 'Angel' model. The split paves the way for a multi-million-pound divorce battle between the golden couple. They have three children together – Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two – as well as Miss Klum's daughter Leni, seven, from a previous relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. Heidi, one of the world's most in-demand models, is reported to have earned more than £12 million in the past year alone. Seal, who is best known for his Kiss From A Rose single, has sold more than 20 million albums and won three Brit Awards and three Grammys in a career spanning 20 years. The couple own a home in Mexico and an £8.4 million mansion in Los Angeles. [From The Mail] Here's what I think happened/is happening: I think Heidi, for whatever reason, had enough and was speaking to lawyers and she gave Seal an ultimatum. The ultimatum was probably something like, "Stop partying so much, stop traveling so much, spend more time with the family." And it looks like Seal is trying to meet her ultimatum, I think. Out of all celebrity couples who claim that they're "working things out," I actually believe it with Seal and Heidi. Angelina Jolie in black lace Michael Kors at the PGAs: gorgeous or budget? Posted: 22 Jan 2012 07:47 AM PST Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were in attendance at last night's Producers Guild Awards, held in Beverly Hills. Jolie wore this black wool crepe and lace Michael Kors pre-Fall 2012 collection gown which… I have mixed feelings about. The positives: it fits her, it's not a sack, and there's sexiness to it. The negatives: the lace looks kind of cheap to me, the cut and the design of the bodice is odd, and the overall effect is not all that gorgeous. That being said, I love her hair and makeup here. I really like it when Angelina does bigger, teased up hair. It suits her. As for Brad, he was without his cane! And if it just me, or is Brad looking a little bit "refreshed"? He actually made the effort to groom his scraggily facial hair, and he looks so shiny, maybe it's throwing me off and making me think he looks Botoxed when he's just clean, for once. Anyhoodle, Angelina was at the PGAs because she was receiving The Stanley Kramer Award for In the Land of Blood and Honey. Prince William will join Kate on vacation in Mustique, but there are still image problems Posted: 22 Jan 2012 07:47 AM PST On Friday, we discussed the Duchess of Cambridge's decision to fly to Mustique with her family for one of her dozen yearly vacations. I noted how oddly tone-deaf it was for Kate to go on a family vacation without her husband of less than a year, given that the palace was trying to play Kate as the sympathetic military wife who was devastated at the prospect of being without Prince William for six weeks. As it turns out, Prince William will be joining Kate and the Middletons in Mustique, although that information was only reported two days after Kate flew to Mustique. Kate left on Wednesday (first class!), and it's thought that William flew to meet her yesterday, or he's flying today. Still, she left him in Wales so she could spend a few extra days on vacation. Wills is headed on vacation! Kate Middleton may have gotten a head start with some fun in the sun on the island of Mustique, but as it turns out, her hubby Prince William isn’t far behind! “He’s leaving tomorrow morning,” a source tells Us Weekly. “It wasn’t set in stone because William needed to clear the week of work first.” On Wednesday, the 30-year-old Duchess flew first class to St. Lucia with her parents, Mike and Carole Middleton and her siblings, Pippa and James Middleton. After arriving in the Caribbean, the family made their way to the ultra-private island of Mustique, where they will celebrate Carole’s 57th birthday (her actual birthday is January 31). This isn’t the first time the Middletons took Mustique. The family, sans Kate, vacationed there last August. This vacation may be the last bit of R&R that the Duke of Cambridge, 29, sees for awhile. The Prince, who is a search-and-rescue co-pilot for the Royal Air Force, is scheduled to be deployed to the Falkland Islands, which is the center of fresh tension between Great Britain and Argentina, next month. [From Us Weekly] Well, I'll take back what I said about Kate's tone-deaf PR image – she and Will are just enjoying one last vacation before he leaves for the Falklands. I can understand that, although I still think it says something about Kate's laziness – her whole life is a series of vacations. And would it have been such an imposition to wait until William had gotten the time off so they could leave together? I’m just sayin’. Meanwhile, The Mail reports that Kate's presence on the island of Mustique is causing a lot of consternation. Security has been heightened, but Mustique is the kind of place where pretty much everybody is really, really wealthy. So, basically, millionaires and billionaires are being treated like crap because security guards think everybody will be taking photos of Kate lounging around in a bikini. One dude complained: "This isn't exactly the way one expects to be treated when you pay very good money to visit the most exclusive island in the Caribbean." A security guard on the island – who is reportedly working with Kate's team of bodyguards – tells The Mail, "The concern isn't crime. It is that visitors might try to take photos of the VIPs who are here on their phones." Yes, because God knows what the British public would think if they saw more photos of Kate sitting around, doing nothing. IMAGE CONTROL!!! Must control Kate’s image!!! When Kate returns to the UK and William goes to the Falklands, how will Kate spend her time? The Mail reports that Kate is "dreading" William's absence, and that she's not even going to stay at their Anglesey house while he's gone. She's going to be staying at Kensington Palace, and she's going to begin doing some charitable work at long last. And yes, she's also going to take some much needed "breaks" to spend more time with her family in Bucklebury, and Camilla Parker-Bowles has invited Kate to spend some time at Clarence House. I'm sure Kate will manage to fit in another vacation, don't you? It will be difficult, but she's made it clear that vacations are her top priority. Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds return to New Orleans: is that where their affair began? Posted: 22 Jan 2012 07:09 AM PST Back when Ryan Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson, Ryan spent the spring and summer of 2010 down in New Orleans filming The Green Lantern. Blake Lively was the "love interest" in that film, and there were rumors (vague rumors) that Blake and Ryan might have gotten very close during filming. As I said, Ryan was with ScarJo then, and Blake was with Penn Badgley. Both Penn and ScarJo were often in New Orleans to see their significant others, and while there were rumors that Blake was "baking cupcakes" for Ryan, most people thought that Ryan didn't screw around on Scarlett. Months passed, and Ryan and Scarlett split up and Blake ended up spending time as Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, only to dump him (?!) and run full speed to Ryan. Here's the question, though: given the fact that Ryan and Blake seem so loved up so quickly, does it make you feel differently about the first round of rumors when both were attached to other people? Is it possible that Ryan and Blake's love affair actually began in the summer of 2010? Well, whatever happened, it seems like New Orleans might be a special place for them, because People Mag is reporting that Blake and Ryan spent a long weekend in NOLA. Getting ice cream and sex-filled doughnuts. After being seen all cozy together last year in New York and in Boston, followed by the couple’s holiday visit with his family in Vancouver, it seemed some distance could have possibly developed between Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Had the romance Gone South? Sure enough – to the Big Easy, where the Reynolds, 35, and Lively, 24, were spotted this weekend all over New Orleans, the very city where they had shot The Green Lantern. On Friday, an eyewitness saw the two at the Creole Creamery, a cute, Uptown ice cream parlor. “Ryan comes in here sometimes when he’s in town,” said the observer, adding: “They seemed to want their privacy and sat close together in a corner of the store while they were eating and talking. They did leave the store holding hands, though – super sweet!” According to another sighting on Twitter, Friday included the couple’s visit to the Café du Monde, a French market stand famous for its coffee with chicory and its donut-like beignets. When the stars were promoting Green Lantern last summer, both spoke of their love of New Orleans, which Reynolds called “one of the most exciting, incredible communities in the world. … You’re going to hear some of the best jazz music, eat some of the best food and see some of the best entertainment in the world.” Added Lively, “You could spend your life trying to uncover all the treasures in New Orleans and not even scratch the surface.” [From People Magazine] So have they returned to the city where their love initially blossomed, or did they just decide to take a little vacation to a city that they both love? Sofia Vergara & Jessica Chastain in black at the PGAs: lovely, sexy or busted? Posted: 22 Jan 2012 06:43 AM PST I like how almost everybody wears black to the "lesser" awards shows. Not that the Producers Guild Awards aren't important – I think all of the guild awards are probably better harbingers for the Oscars than the critics' awards and the Golden Globes. But no one is racing to televise the Producers Guild Awards or the Writers Guild Awards, and there isn't some huge red carpet walk, so when stars show up for the guild awards, they're usually low-key in some simple black ensemble. But! Some ladies did sex it up. Like Sofia Vergara, who could honestly make a burlap sack look obscene. Sofia's black (and burgundy?) sequined dress is by Monique Lhuillier. It's pretty, and it's a great design for Sofia's curves, but I would have liked it more if it was all burgundy or all black. Here's Evan Rachel Wood in a fantastic black double-breasted suit. I can't find the designer ID – I'll guess Ralph Lauren? I like that Evan is confident enough to cover up in a black suit! Jessica Chastain's style surprised me – her look over the past year has been inconsistent, and she's given me the impression that she really doesn't care too much about fashion and styling. But I think someone might have gotten a hold of her this week, after her disaster of a look at the Golden Globes. Jessica looks great (and sexy) in this Balenciaga gown, and I love the pop of the green earrings and red nails. Her hair is improving too. And here's Viola Davis, one of the few ladies in color, in a lovely green Hervé L. Leroux dress. It's a nice dress for a less-prominent awards ceremony. And her hair has improved a lot. TMZ is reporting that Heidi Klum, 38, is about to file divorce from Seal, 48, after nearly seven years of marriage and four children together. (Three of whom are Seal’s, he adopted Heidi’s daughter from a previous relationship.) I’ve sometimes thought that Heidi and Seal aren’t as solid as they’ve seemed, as I get suspicious when couples seem to constantly tout how great their relationship is. Still, this is surprising and sad news. These two really did seem like they would be together until very late in life. Here’s TMZ’s report: Heidi Klum will file for divorce from Seal … TMZ has learned. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Heidi will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. We’re told Heidi will cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce. The couple married May 10, 2005. They have 3 biological kids. Seal adopted Heidi’s eldest girl from a prior relationship. The couple is famous for renewing their vows every year on their anniversary … in a lavish ceremony. As for splitting up the goodies, there’s a lot on the line. According to Forbes, in the last year alone, Klum raked in $20 million. It’s unclear how much Seal made. Heidi attended last Sunday’s Golden Globes without Seal. The last photo she tweeted with him was back on December 26. [From TMZ] Radar reports that Seal was last seen with Heidi on January 7, and that he “was spotted alone Friday at L.A.X.” People reached out to their reps and have not heard back yet. Seal was touring with his band throughout 2011 and will be touring in February and again in December of this year. He has a new album coming out at the end of this month. Was it the distance and the professional commitments that ate away at their relationship, or are we about to hear about one of them finding another partner while the other was away? Kaiser reminded me that Heidi has been pregnant almost throughout her entire marriage. She met Seal when she was pregnant with her daughter Leni, now 7, and then they had Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. In November, 2009, Seal adopted Leni, and then Heidi took Seal’s last name, Samuel, in December, 2009. (She still goes by Klum professionally.) Maybe the stress of having young kids got to them like so many other couples. I’ve seen photos of the family out with one nanny per each child, and Heidi has admitted that they have three nannies “two on at a time,” so it’s not like they’re dealing with the same reality as other families. Heidi kind of hinted at issues taking care of all their children. She told US in August that “it’s a huge responsibility to have four kids.” It must have been even harder for her with Seal away on tour. This is very sad news, especially for their children.
