Tia Mowry Gets BOLD In BANGS For VIBE VIXEN's June/July 2012 Issue

We're loving Tia Mowry these days!  She's no longer just the cutesy girl next door.  She's full fledged grown and sexy.  The 33-year-old actress, wife & new mom has been upping her hot factor on BET's "The Game" for the last few years.  And now that she's parting ways with the show, it's clear she has come into her own.

Tia Mowry--rocking an insane gold necklace, an electric blue skirt and stark white blazer with colorful accessories--dished to VIBE VIXEN magazine what she thinks about critics of the new seasons of "The Game"...and she actually agrees!  Kinda.  The now former star says the show has changed--but the new feeling of a "mini movie" could be a good one. 

The "Oh Baby!" author (who is currently on a promo run) also says that while she hasn't watched "Basketball Wives," she IS a huge fan of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta."  But don't expect her and her pregnant sister Tamera Mowry-Housley to turn their reality series, "Tia & Tamera," into that kind of show:

It’s so funny you asked me that because Tamera just told me, ‘Your style has really changed.’ My whole thing with being a mom is that you don’t want to lose your identity; you don’t want to lose who you were before. You can still be that hot, sexy mom. If anything, I like to think I’m wearing heels even more. I didn’t wear them that much until the end [of the pregnancy], so I’m now all about wearing heels. I wear a lot of vibrant, flowy, colorful clothes, before it was edgy. I’m a mom now, but when I go out, I don’t forget who I was before.

On Basketball Wives and RHOA
I haven’t seen "Basketball Wives," but I heard about it. I am a huge fan of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," but I just think that Tamera and I have a different take on these reality shows. I remember when we were pitching our show to different networks, many of them didn’t want to pick it up because they felt like we didn’t have enough conflict. My sister and I were like, ‘We aren’t those type of people,’ so it’s all about us being positive role models. People always say it’s nice to see fresh, vibrant, funny women on television, and that’s my sister and I. That’s how our career has always been and we knew we weren’t going to change who we are for the show business, so it’s kind of something that has been accepted.

On Reactions to "The Game" this season and the show changes
I basically agree with them. I do think the show is different and it’s taken a new turn, but it’s not a new show. It is more from a drama perspective now and these last few episodes have been amazing. It’s almost like you are watching a mini-movie, and for the fans that watched it from the beginning, they can’t adjust well to the difference, but new fans love it because it’s a real show. I have to appreciate that these characters are real and they come from a realistic perspective. We talk about topics that a lot of people don’t want to talk about.

Couples who drink together...get paid together.  And we aint mad at that.  Mission Impossible 4 actress Paula Patton and her singer hubby & "Duets" star Robin Thicke are starring in RÉMY MARTIN® V.S.O.P cognac's first U.S. television ad.   We've got the sex exuding couple getting their romance on...inside a bottle...

Launching on June 4, 2012, Rémy Martin will show viewers how 'Things Are Getting Interesting'. For the first time, the sexy power couple are collaborating on an ad campaign together.  And it's the perfect fit for the V.S.O.P company as they tapped the seductive twosome for this particular cognac's first ever television campaign in the United States.

The commercial was shot in three locations around downtown Los Angeles--the LA Theatre, the Belasco Club and ended at the Bradbury Building.

The clip begins as Robin, with two glasses of Rémy Martin V.S.O.P in hand, spots the beautiful Paula. She proceeds to evade his advances as he follows her through unexpected scenarios within a fantastical, ornate mansion, chasing her from floor to floor. Robin finally catches up with Paula on the rooftop and hands her a glass. As the camera pans out, the story is revealed to have occurred within a Rémy Martin V.S.O.P bottle in the middle of a moonlit city night.

About the campaign, both Robin & Paula stated in a press release:

“Rémy Martin is the epitome of glamour and luxury to me,” said Patton. “I’m honored to tell this elegant and seductive story for Rémy Martin and spend time collaborating with my husband, while celebrating a brand I’ve always admired.”

“To be a part of the first ever Rémy Martin TV campaign is an extremely unique and humbling opportunity,” said Thicke. “I feel especially lucky to have the chance to work together with Paula and express the connection and love that we have for each other on set. We are excited to work with such an iconic brand, and look forward to more interesting moments with Rémy Martin this year.”

Drake & Rihanna PARTY At Club LIV In Miami, Hit The SET OF French Montana's "Pop That" Video With Weezy & Rick Ross

Drake and Rihanna were spotted at Club LIV in Miami last night.  See pics of the duo inside and see folks like Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross and French Montana on the set of his "Pop That" video.  

It looks like Drake and RiRi kept the drinks flowing all night and got a little tipsy.

Drake also kicked it with a few fans and friends.

 

 

 But partying at Club LIV wasn't all Drake and RiRi did together......

She was also spotted on the set of Moroccan born/Bronx bred MMG rapper French Montana's "Pop That" video watch her friends work.

Drake and Rick Ross were amongst the rappers who teamed up for the shoot.  "Pop That" is the first single off French's upcoming debut Excuse My French, due July 17. 

Fat Joe also showed up.

The shoot was held at a lavish mansion in Miami and Lil' Wayne also rolled through...of course.

Ashanti PARTIES IT UP For LIQUID SUNDAYS At Foxwoods Resort Casino

This weekend, Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas hosted the Liquid Sundays pool party for Memorial Day at Foxwood Resort and Casino in Connecticut.  See the interesting pics inside....

 

"The Woman You Love" singer Ashanti kept the party going Sunday afternoon at the Foxwoods Resort Casino for their Liquid Sundays pool party in a custom Dominique Auxilly dress.  Yes, we know it's a pool party.  But there is MUCH going on with this "outfit."  Is it a swimsuit?  Is it a cover up?  Is it an actual sheer and rope dress?  Any way it goes, we're not feeling it.

The 31-year-old tweeted, Channeling my inner "princess jasmine" from Aladdin lmao!! #liquidsundays @foxwoodsct!!  By the way, Ashanti is currently preparing to drop her Braveheart album (August 28).

BEACH BUNNIES: Gabrielle Union & Savannah Brinson SOAK UP THE SUN In Miami

Gabrielle Union kept it sexy on the beach this Memorial Day Holiday weekend with her sister-in-basketball Savannah Brinson.  The two ladies were spotted soaking up the sun in their bikinis before cheering on their men at last night's Heat vs. Celtics playoff game.

The seemingly flawless 39-year-old actress Gabby Union threw on her straw hat and teeny bikini to hit Miami Beach yesterday in all her tight and toned glory.  She often tweets about her hard core workouts. And clearly they're paying off.

She and LeBron James' fiancee, Savannah, and another friend were spotted hitting the ocean and the sand on Memorial Day or some girly relaxation time.

Savannah's also been tweeting about her pre-wedding workouts as she donned a cute straw hat from Aldo.

Gabby, who is filming her new BET show "Being Mary Jane" with writer Mara Brock Akil, is a spokesperson for Neutrogena's skin disease awareness campaign.  She recently said about why people should pay attention to discolorations and moles:

'I don’t tan on purpose, but I do a lot of beach workouts. But I go SPF 110.

'As an African-American woman, culturally we have been told that we have natural protection against the sun, but we’re absolutely part of the one in five.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve seen relatives’ moles change shape, and they think, "That’s cute — it’s like Janet Jackson!"

'But it’s not cute — it’s called melanoma.'

She's looking fantastic these days.

Then the Think Like a Man actress was spotted playing supportive girlfriend to Dwyane Wade later yesterday at Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals at American Airlines Arena.  Heat won 93-79.

WHAT'S BEEF: Did Chris Brown GET PISSY With Meek Mill OVER Rihanna? + Was Chris LASHING Out At Raz B For "ALLEGEDLY" Saying He's Gay?

Chris Brown is involved in a few beefs with other industry artists right now.  Get the deets on what's going on between him and Meek Mill and Raz B!

The word on the street is that Meek Mill got his verse on Chris Brown's "Don't Judge Me" dropped from the Fortune disc because Chris got pissy that Meek was hanging with Rihanna at a strip club. 

Chris wasn't too pleased that Rihanna stopped by Meek Mill's party at Club Perfections last month so he bumped Meek off the disc.  Over the weekend, Meek tweeted,

 

We shall see how this one play's out.  But you know how pissy Chris can be......

 

And in other Chris beefs..........

Former B2K member Raz B has allegedly written a book called This Boy's Life.  We say allegedly because we have not been able to verify the existence of the book with the publishing company or Raz B's reps.  But rumor has it that the alleged book features explosive allegations about former B2K members (Omarion, Lil' Fizz, J Boog), Bow Wow, Ray J, Chris Stokes and Chris Brown all being gay.

On Chris the book says,

“They say you never know who knows who. Chris Brown didn’t think about that when he attacked me online. I have a friend that’s very close to Chris’ camp who told me that Chris was involved with an up and coming songwriter Andre Merritt. So when Chris started going in calling people ‘gay’ and ‘fags’ I just dropped Andre Merritt’s name. I knew it was true when he decided to shut up.”

Chris allegedly responded (his tweets were later deleted but some say they never saw this tweet) to the alleged book saying,

 

Chris DID indeed tweet that his lawyers are handling Raz.  If this book ever hits shelves, the fallout could be very interesting.  We'll keep you posted.

 

Andre 3000 FILMS Jimi Hendrix Biopic + Ne-Yo & Jamie Foxx PARTY In Las Vegas

Andre 3000 is over in Dublin filming the Jimi Hendrix biopic.  Get deets on the film and see Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx hosting a pool party in Las Vegas.  

Andre Benjamin aka Andre 3000 (who celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday) began filming All Is by My Side, a Jimi Hendrix biopic, today in Dublin, Ireland.

Andre 3000 wants fans to be surprised by the film so he avoided photos so everything will be fresh when it hits the screen.

But when it hits the screen, don't expect to hear Jimi's original music.  Apparently, the estate is not on board with the biopic.  The estate released a statement saying,

 "Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi Hendrix, and the EH board have not ruled out a 'biopic' in the future though producing partners would, out of necessity, have to involve the company from the inception of any such film project if it is to include original Jimi Hendrix music or composition."

 

Andre 3000 will likely have to record covers of all Jimi songs used in the film.  But hey.....isn't that what we wanted anyway?

 

And in Las Vegas...........

Yesterday, Ne-Yo hosted Beach Life's Rehab Pool in the Hard Rock Hotel.

He tweeted, Chill day in my hometown Vegas, sipping @Malibu_Red at Rehab Pool. Life is good! #Compound - R.E.D 9/18/12

He also paraded around with a bevy of beauties and got the crowd hyped.

Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx was the party's other host and he also hyped the crowd.
