Dark Knight Shooter James Holmes' Will Face The Death Penalty

This certainly looks to be a sad ending to a very sad story.

James Holmes will most likely face the death penalty after his shooting spree at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater murders late last July left several dead and many others injured.

Last week, his legal team entered a "guilty" plea in hopes of spending life in prison with no parole as an alternative, but after lawyers consulted the families of the victims, the deal was rejected.

As the hearing kicked off earlier this morning, Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler said he would not be accepting the proposed plea bargain and told the court "justice is death."

As you know, James is responsible for the death of 12 moviegoers at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012 and is facing 166 total charges that include 24 counts of first degree murder, 116 counts of attempted murder, and 26 other crimes on his horrific killing spree.

The American Idol host and producer rushed off to Cabo, Mexico for Easter weekend, and was joined by friends -- including some very beautiful ladies!!!

Photogs saw them having a GOOD OLE time, while Ryan's former flame of two years Julianne Hough spent her holiday with family.

It seems these two can still have a good time without each other! Which is a good thing, since, well... they're totally SPLITSVILLE!

Girls' Lena Dunham Dances The Night Away With Music Idol Taylor Swift!

We're beginning to think Lena Dunham has an obsession with teen queens!!!!

The Girls star already spilled her love for Selena Gomez and NOW we've learned that she is such a fan of Taylor Swift that she went to her concert!

Lena tweeted:

And this isn't even the first time she has publicly declared her love for the country princess!

When Red first came out, Lena tweeted that Tay's newest album was "triumphant"

She's also described the chart topper as "super-creative, an amazing role model, [and] beautiful."

Gurl is just speaking the truth.

Can't blame her for that!!!

Maybe after her guest stint on New Girl, Lena will invite her to appear on her hit show?? We can dream, can't we??!

But we'll happily settle for the day we see Lena, Tay Tay, and Selener getting mani-pedis together!!

And to make matters even hotter, the actor was seen caring for his children on their family vacation.

If only that pesky wife wasn't in our way!!!

Glee Creator Ryan Murphy Supports Cory Monteith For Entering Rehab!!!

Following girlfriend Lea Michele's statement, Ryan Murphy has now stepped up to publicly announce that he stands by Cory Monteith after the Glee star entered rehab yesterday.

Ryan tweeted:

With that said, it is pretty clear that Ryan doesn't really care that Cory won't be able to finish up the season.

It is very admirable and strong that Cory voluntarily admitted himself, especially considering there wasn't a HINT of drug-addled antics that forced the decision.

With so many wonderful people for him to lean on, we're VERY hopeful this will be a successful recovery.

We're rooting for you, Cory!!!!

MTV's Buckwild Star Shain Gandee Mysteriously Found Dead! Only 21!

This is heartbreaking!

Buckwild star Shain Gandee's lifeless body was discovered early this morning in a car in West Virginia.

The 21-year-old, lovingly nicknamed "Gandee Candy," was found dead — along with two other undisclosed bodies — after being reported missing just 31 hours before.

The reality star disappeared yesterday after he and his uncle David Gandee told others that they wanted to go 4-wheeling.

Kanawha County Commissioner Kent Carper said:

"This is a very sad and tragic event. We live in a very small community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gandee family."

Though details are minimal right now, our hearts go out to his family after this SHOCKING loss.

Rest in peace, Shain...

Barbara Walters Talks About Leaving The View, But Skirts Around The Subject!

Well that's a relief!

Last week we heard terribly tragic rumors that Barbara Walters was retiring from The View!

As it turns out, all those whispers are premature! The 83-year-old Queen of broadcast journalism isn't itching to get off her throne anytime soon!

Furthermore, she's pissed anyone might even suggest it!

On this morning's episode, Babs revealed:

"There were many reports last week saying that I was retiring from ABC, and there was an assumption that I would be making an announcement today, However, here I am, and I have no announcements to make... I do want to say this, that if and when I might have an announcement to make, I would do it on this program, I promise, and the paparazzi guys, you will be the last to know."

Ahh, the old non-announcement announcement! The oldest trick in the book!

While the gracious TV host was perturbed her fans bought into the rumors, Barbara still never denied them!!

Hmmm, if it were up to us she'd host her own network until she were 116!

Harry Styles' Solo Career: One Direction Rep Reveals The Truth!

When is it happening!? WHEN is it happening!?!

Following this weekend's news of Harry Styles flying solo in the studio, Directioners have been wondering if his 'priority' with One Direction will dry up sooner than later.

Because as much as we love 'em all, Harry really seems like the one with the most potential to pursue a solo career and come out silly successful!

And even though sources promised he wouldn't leave 1D just yet, the rumors kept piling, making us all CRAVE some clarification from the band's rep!

So amidst all the drama, a rep from the band DID take a moment to explain Harry's solo sessions by revealing:

"The boys are all working on the new 1D album together and sometimes sessions are recorded separately."

AHA! So he wasn't working on a future project after all! Though other sources do make it sound like he will eventually...

To be honest, we're relieved. He'll be an AH-MAZING break-out star, but these boys have only just begun! Harry has plenty of time to get out and do his own thing later.
