Alexis Bledel, most recently known for playing Beth Dawes on the TV series Mad Men, decided to show off her vintage-glam engagement ring for the first time EVER at the premiere of Remembering Sunday. We're glad she did, because it's a sight to behold!!! The stone is a large octagonal diamond, complete with an almost dizzying sparkle!! This can only mean that Vincent Kartheiser, aka Pete Campbell from Mad Men, has great taste--both in women AND in jewelry. Alexis is one lucky gal! Suddenly all the practice Vincent put into his proposal makes sense! WE wouldn't want to screw up proposing with a ring like THAT, either!! LOLz! Okay so it might not be as prestigious as the Oscars, but it's a helluva lot more entertaining! That's for sure! The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will air on NBC on January 12, 2014 so mark those calendars now, and you might as well start thinking of which wine you wanna drink now too. But who shall host??? It's gonna be really hard to beat Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but we think we've come up with some solutions. We just need U to decide... [poll=60180] |
| Ann Curry Teased By The TODAY Show Staff! Last Months Were 'Torture!' Posted: 18 Apr 2013 01:38 PM PDT Ann Curry didn't have an easy few months leading up to her TODAY Show departure. Reporter Brian Stelter revealed in an excerpt from his upcoming book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV that Matt Lauer's co-anchor was the butt of quite a few staffroom jokes, much to Ann's chagrin. A staffer revealed to Stelter:
Apparently, some of the employees even compared Ann's bright yellow dress (above) to Big Bird in a "Who Wore It Best?" vote. YIKES! Stelter added that a "blooper reel of Curry's worst on-air mistakes" was even "commissioned" by the show's executive producer, Jim Bell -- though he's denied these allegations. Additionally, some of Ann's personal belongings, prior to her departure, "ended up in a coat closet, as if she had already been booted off the premises." Stelter wrote that the former co-anchor still feels "profoundly hurt and humiliated" by the "final months" of "professional torture" and her exit from the show. But, Ann, don't let any of this get you down! Chin up! No one should EVER feel antagonized in the workplace. This is just SO CRUEL. We're glad Ann is free from these ca-ray-zay antics! Tilda Swinton took a break from being an ethereal cover girl to lend her ENTIRE body for the sake of art once more. The eccentric actress was caught sleeping in a glass box yesterday for the second time at NYC's MoMA museum for her performance piece, The Maybe. And this isn't the last time Tilda's Z's will be put on display! The actress is scheduled to snuggle up for all to see at least four more times before the end of 2013 in various parts of the museum. Posted: 18 Apr 2013 12:52 PM PDT Apparently pregnant Kim Kardashian is not enough of a reason for her babydaddy Kanye West to return to the US. Instead, the always-outspoken artist will fly back for a musical guest appearance on SNL May 18th. Kanye has been in Paris, working on his new album with VERY impressive collaborators -- ahem, Daft Punk -- but, while we understand this is a business trip, work isn't everything. It seems the farther along Kim's pregnancy gets and the more public criticism she receives, the longer Kanye stays away. And with the recent rumors of a permanent move to France? It's just.. Recently, country music star Brad Paisley has been under fire for his controversial collaboration with LL Cool J on Accidental Racist, so naturally the comedian had to throw in his two cents! After dissecting the lyrics for analysis, Stephen concluded that the tune had done its job by getting people of all races to agree on one thing:
He sure has a way with words! And the jokes didn't end there, as he decided to do his own version of the song. But instead of singing about racism, he took on the issue of homophobia instead! Ch-ch-check out the hilarious tune (above)! With a little help from Alan Cumming filling in for LL, Stephen throws on his cowboy hat and serenades us in the super funny spoof, Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe! The silly song is FULL of golden lyrics like "I'm just a straight man, a certified titty fan" and "I'm proud of my hetero cred, but not everything Rush Limbaugh said," and it's definitely worth a listen!
