Posted: 06 Apr 2013 09:34 AM PDT Rihanna is known for taking good care of her friends and fam in her life...and that includes Mama Fenty.  Check out how the rude gal spent her mom's b-day in Beverly Hills yesterday inside...   During a quick break from her Diamonds World Tour, Rih Rih was home in L.A. with her mom, Monica, for Mom Dukes' birthday.  The Bajan gals hit up Miu Miu in Beverly Hills to buy out the store, and Rih--rocking double denim and a clear Chanel cuff--snapped pics of them having some fun & cutesy QT inside: The "Pour It Up" chick tweeted: "Getting comfy! I always feel so safe and at home laying just like this on her lap!.... The way she looks at me is as epic as the way Dolly looked at me! Love u mommy #AriesLife...Me and Mama Fenty doing some bday damage! She's radical man! #phuckyobirthday" Well isn't that sweet. Last year, Rihanna bought her mom a gorgeous home in Barbados that she surprised her with on "OWN: Next Chapter." PARTY FAB: Kandi Burruss HOSTS "The Kandi Factory" VIEWING PARTY With Monyetta Shaw, LaTavia Roberson (And Her Baby Bump!) & Rasheeda Posted: 06 Apr 2013 08:51 AM PDT Kandi Burruss was joined by her fiance Todd Tucker, daughter Riley and a slew of friends and family to watch her new Bravo spinoff show "The Kandi Factory" and celebrate her UPSCALE cover.  See Rasheeda, Latavia Roberson and more inside.... Last night, "RHOA" star Kandi Burruss celebrated her expanding empire with a private viewing party of her new show "The Kandi Factory+ at Aurum in Atlanta.  And she looked fab in this white leather dress trimmed in studs paired with red metallic shoes.  Finally, chick doesn't have that hint of a "homely & country" vibe in her look I always get. Several of Kandi's closest friends came out to celebrate with her, including Rasheeda, who recently revealed her pregnancy on "LAHH ATL".  At least she did in the trailer, we all know how these reality show chicks end up having alleged false alarms.  And by false alarms we mean storyline creations. And Kandi's other pregnant friend, LaTavia Roberson came out to celebrate as well.  How cute is this bump in that dress! Kandi tweeted, "It must be something in the water! @iamlatavia is having a baby too! I have like 5 friends that are preggers at the same time." Hmmm Kandi may be next at this rate... LaTavia also posed with "Let's Stay Together" actress Nadine Ellis and Demetria McKinney from "The Rickey Smiley Show." Ne-Yo's fiancee Monyetta Shaw and former reality star Chanita Foster also celebrated with Kandi. Ex-"R&B Divas" star Nicci Gilbert was there.  Hope she was wearing Curvato... Celeb photographer Derek Blanks stepped in front of the camera lens for a few photos.     Kandi's mom and dad posed for a few flicks with her and Riley.  Riley's growing into a gorgeous gal by the way. SPEAK ON IT: Some Folks Are Pissed....Was It INSENSITIVE For Jay-Z & Beyonce To VACAY In CUBA? Posted: 06 Apr 2013 07:40 AM PDT Jay-Z and Beyonce have infuriated Cuban-American civil rights activists after photos of them--along with their mothers--in Havana, Cuba went viral.  But is it Jay and Bey's (or any celeb's) responsibility to make a stand for human rights in other countries?  Speak on it.....   Though Jay-Z and Beyonce (who just changed her Instagram name from BaddieBey to her government 'Beyonce") are beloved all over the world, their choice of locale to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary has put fans and critics in an awkward position.  Whether Jay and Bey are aware of it or not, Cuba--which Americans for the most part are not allowed to visit legally--has a reputation for being "brutal" to citizens who dare challenge the government.  And it could be argued that being a celebrity comes with a certain level of responsibility of what you promote. Mauricio Claver-Carone, the D.C. director for the US-Cuba Democracy PAC, a group which fights for democracy in Cuba, was particularly vocal about the trip telling TMZ,  "There are women getting beaten on a daily basis, women who are being jailed for no reason ... people are fighting for their freedom. It’s extremely insensitive." And on his Capitol Hill Cubans blog, Mauricio is even more pointed is his criticism nothing that the Cuban government happily released pics of Jay and Bey's stroll through Havana to foreign media outlets as it takes attention away from the alleged atrocities and civil rights violations that he says are common place. Plenty of comments on this blog and others also criticized the couple for visiting the communist country.  But from Jay and Bey's perspective, why can't they just enjoy some good arroz con pollo in peace? Should they be held accountable for the Cuban government using them and their wedding anniversary trip as propaganda?  And from the other perspective, shouldn't they choose a place that is not known for creating an unapologetic environment of violence and poverty...seeing that they will be photographed like crazy while there? You'll recall that Beyonce has been in this position before.  In 2009, she performed a concert for a Libyan dictator.  Although she donated the money to charity, she was still called out for not knowing who she was performing for.  But...is that her responsibility? Should entertainers check the political climate of a country before they get their passports stamped? Or should there by a line drawn between entertainment and politics? Ray-J Reminds Kanye (In A Song) He Smashed Kim K. First (Lyrics) + Cassie's "Paradise" Video Trailer Posted: 06 Apr 2013 01:19 AM PDT Oh Ray-J.  This dude is still reminding the world what he gave us.  Nope, not an STD.  But Kim K. Superstar.  Check out lyrics and the cover of Ray's new track "I Hit It First" inside, plus Cassie's new "Paradise" trailer... Looks like Brandy's brother is up to his old tricks again.  He revealed that he's releasing a new song called "I Hit It First."  It hits iTunes April 9th.  And yes, it's his ode to Kanye West about who smashed his baby moms first and made her famous. Ray dropped the single's cover art Friday, which is a pic of Kim K. on a beach back in 2008, all blurred out.  And after folks called Ray lame for pulling a thirty move...especially because we ALL know Ray-J wasn't really her first, he tweeted this: "Lol have some fun! It's not that serious!! #LIVE!!" Now, a few lyrics have leaked via TMZ.  And Ray apparently felt the need to act like it's a privilege to have smashed Kim K. on camera, making her famous: She might move on to rappers and ballplayers But we all know I hit it first. I had her head going North and her ass going South But now baby chose to go West No matter where she goes or who she knows She still belongs in my bed.   Note to Ray--you were far from the first boo.  But if it helps you sleep at night... Meanwhile, Ray is the new host of the upcoming season of "Bad Girls Club All Stars" airing on Oxygen this May.  His list of "accomplishments" grow.     Cassie's still trying y'all.  The model babe dropped the trailer for her upcoming video for "Paradise" ft. Wiz Khalifa.  Lots of her celeb friends make cameos for the fun L.A. vid showing a side of Cassie where she's simply chilliln' with her crew. Wesley Snipes RELEASED From PRISON + Trayvon Martin's Parent SETTLE Wrongful Suit For $1 Million Posted: 05 Apr 2013 02:05 PM PDT Actor Wesley Snipes has been released from prison after serving nearly two-years for tax evasion.  Find out about his release inside and get information about Trayvon Martin's parents ending their wrongful death suit.   Mr. Nino Brown aka Wesley Snipes was released from the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania this week, where he served nearly two-years for failing to file federal income tax returns. Wesley, who checked into prison in December 2010, was release on April 2nd and transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, which will oversee his home arrest.   After July 19th, the Blade star will be released from home arrest and free to jump start his career again.  Apparently, Hollywood is welcoming the Sugar Hill kingpin back with open arms as he's already rumored to have a role in The Expendable 3 (set for a 2014 release). Welcome back Mr. Snipes.  And don't forget about April 15th this time around!   In other news... The parents of Trayvon Martin, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, have settled their wrongful death claim against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where Trayvon was murdered, for a reported $1 Million. A portion of the settlement read,  "It is understood and agreed that the payment made herein is not to be construed as an admission of any liability by or on behalf of the releasing parties; but instead the monies being paid hereunder is consideration for avoiding litigation, the uncertainties stemming from litigation as well as to protect and secure the good name and good will of the released parties." Under the terms of the agreement, Trayvon's parents, will not take further action against the homeowner's association regarding Trayvon's death; however, but settlement specifically states that George Zimmerman is not included in agreement.  That clause will allow the parents to to take legal action against George in the future.   Though the actual settlement amount was marked out, it is believe to be in the $1 Million range because that figure was first offered, and rejected, by the parents back in February.

TheYBF.com attended a private viewing of "Braxton Family Values" with Tamar Braxton last night at the offices of Epic Records in NYC.  During our exclusive chat, the expectant diva dished about her pregnancy, her career and what she's learned about herself from watching "BFV". With her song "Love & War" still high on the charts, Tamar says she's ready to juggle motherhood and an exciting recording career.  "This is something I want to do.  My career is really taking off and I've been waiting for this opportunity all my life. And I don't want to miss one second of it.  I want to have my baby with me.  But I don't have to be at home." Last season, "BFV" viewers watched as she struggled with fertility issues, but she jokingly revealed to us that she actually conceived her baby one "drunken" night. WOMP. Though she wouldn't confirm if her good friend Tiny was correct when she blurted out that Tamar was expecting a baby boy on "Tiny Tonight", she did say that she would have a celebrity play date with T.I. and Tiny because she trusts Tiny with her baby. And when it comes to the Braxton sisters, she thinks Towanda would be the best babysitter because she's the most responsible. We also talked about how she's grown personally over the past few years. Since filming "BFV" and "Tamar & Vince", she told us that she realized everything doesn't need a "comment."  And now that she watches her "comments", she's in a better place with her sisters. She also talked about husband and manager Vince Herbert whom her sisters call her "velcro" because they're always together. She says they are celebrating their 10th anniversary this month. Tamar was glowing in a short maternity dress which she paired with a black blazer and black Christian Louboutins.   She says she's been craving Apple Fritters from Dunkin Donuts since the pregnancy. We also talked to producer LaShawn Daniels, the writer of "Love & War". He revealed that he's committed to Tamar's project because she's like family to him.   And for all the die-hard Tarmartians, Vince told us that Tamar's next single will be released in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Halle Berry AND Olivier Martinez PREGNANCY RUMORS (CONFIRMED) Posted: 05 Apr 2013 10:43 AM PDT Sources close to Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez says the couple are expecting their first child together and they already know if it's a girl or a boy!. Get the deets inside...   46-year-old Halle Berry and her 47-year-old fiance Olivier Martinez are pregnant, according to sources close to the couple.  TMZ reports that Halle is 3 months into her pregnancy and the couple are expecting a baby boy! You'll recall that the couple recently returned from vacation in Hawaii and got into a nasty scuffle with the paparazzi at LAX.  Now we know why Olivier was so protective over Nahla (age 5) and his expectant fiancee!   So far, there hasn't been an official confirmation from either Halle or Olivier's representatives. *UPDATE* Halle Berry's rep recently confirmed the good news to PEOPLE,  “I can confirm that Halle and Olivier are expecting a child. Halle is feeling great. It’s a very exciting time. This happened naturally — everyone is really happy. She always talks about being a mom and she definitely wanted this for a long time." Nelly REVEALS Why He Won't RUSH Into MARRIAGE & Why INDUSTRY Relationships FAIL + Jada Pinkett Smith EXPLAINS The "Open Marriage" RUMOR Posted: 05 Apr 2013 09:01 AM PDT Rapper Nelly sat for a candid interview where he revealed if he ever plans to marry and why industry relationships often fail.  Watch the clip inside and see Jada Pinkett Smith clear up the rumors of an "open marriage."   Now that we've watched his longterm relationship with Ashanti fizzle out, and seen him spark up something new with actress Tae Heckard, rapper Nelly gave a surprisingly candid interview about his thoughts on marriage and relationship (which might explain the backstory to of the Ashanti breakup). He says he does want to get married one day, but no one will pressure him into it.  Also,  he gave an interesting perspective on industry relationships saying you can't compare them to "normal" couples.  He says you can't compare a relationship between to non-celebrities who've been dating for seven years, to that of a celebrity couple who's been dating for the same amount of time.  He explained that if you factor in all the travel and time spent away from home, the celebrity couple might have only spent three years together.  It's a different kind of math. Here are the highlights:  On industry relationships: I think people see the relationships that industry folk have and they see the time, but there're not doing the math.  If you do the math on that time, you'll see that it equals out to something totally different. On public perception of his relationships: I shy away from public perceptions about my relationships.  You can't tell me what I should be doing in my relationship.  I'm not home everyday.  I haven't seen her in two weeks. You see so many celebrities get married and then they're divorced in a year.  You know why?  It's because when they get finally get together....the -ish that you thought was cute, becomes annoying.   On if he will ever get married: Yea I think so.  But nobody is going to force me.  Nobody is going to rush me into anything.  Marriage is something you should do when you are ready to do it and you know this is everything.  I take marriage very seriously.  And I only know two ways of marriage.  My parents' marriage didn't last at all and my grandparents' marriage lasted 60 years.  I'm either gonna go all the way to 60, or I'm not gonna do it.   On being faithful: I know me.  If I have any questions, I'm going to play on that and eventually that may weigh in on the situation. On if he's ever been close to marriage: I don't think you've been close until you've been engaged. (He's never been engaged).   Watch the interview here:   And in other "marriage" talks.... Jada Pinkett Smith, one of the producers of Free Angela (in theaters today) chatted with the HuffPost about rumors of an "open" marriage to Will Smith, that have followed the couple for years. She explained that she's never given Will a pass to go outside of their marriage saying, "I've always told Will, 'You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK,'" She continued, "Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I'm here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that's not for me to do for him. Or vice versa." So how have they managed to remain together for so long?  She said, "I think that you have to go into a relationship knowing — especially when you're dedicating yourself to someone for the rest of your life — this is a life partnership.  He's (Will) been by my side through some of the most difficult parts of my life. And so that's something you can never take away." It certainly doesn't sound like she ever said he can go out and sleep around on her, but it does show that she and Will realize that love and partnerships have ebbs and flows and they're both willing to roll with the punches.
