| Kat Von D & Deadmau5 Are Getting Married The Little Mermaid Way! Posted: 16 Apr 2013 01:22 PM PDT This couple's wedding ceremony will definitely be "the furthest thing from traditional." Tattoo artist Kat Von D and musician Deadmau5 are planning a 200 person, "underwater-themed" ceremony to take place on August 10th in Los Angeles. And they're not kidding around, folks. It's all thanks to H.P. Lovecraft's short story The Call of Cthulhu about a human-octopus hybrid. Yikes! Complete with performers in mermaid costumes and blue and green-colored food, the wedding sounds like it'll be resembling The Little Mermaid more than anything else. Even Kat's wedding dress, which Deadmau5 is helping design, "will have a sleek silhouette and include hints of iridescent teals, blues and deep violet ombré gradients." But the Gods at Universal Pictures have answered our pleas with a confirmed 2015 release date for the HIGHlarious film's sequel Pitch Perfect 2!!! Yep, that's right. Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick will -- presumably -- be returning to the musical big screen and make sweet, sweet music with the rest of the cast! Head of Universal Pictures Adam Fogelson made the announcement today at CinemaCon, and we have to admit he couldn't have timed it better -- post Rebel's stellar MTV hosting gig! WE. ARE. STOKED. Now, someone hand us a cup. We have a routine to learn. |

Who DARE criticize the MILLIONS of dollars One Direction EARNED by seducing the young ladies (and gay boys) of the world with their vanilla tunes and cheeky attitudes?! LOLz! Well, there IS one who dares... U.K. Business Secretary Vince Cable is reportedly backpedalling on earlier not-so-nice statements regarding the boyband's $38 million 2012 paycheck! Cable apparently said that 1D's excessive 2012 earnings were "grossly immoral" and that:
And yes... he DID refer to the band as New Direction. Hmmmm could this particular member of the U.K. government be a fan of Glee?! LOLzz! Anyway, Mr. Cable later retracted his comments, stating:
Oh dear, was someone chastised for seemingly not supporting an English (and Irish) National Treasure?! A treasure that we're sure brings in LOTS of revenue for the country?! We're not entirely sure how we feel about those Adidas wedge boots or the knee-length harem pants, but something about this ensemble feels more like a costume than a usual daily getup. How fitting! | Lisa Kudrow & Matt LeBlanc Reunite For Web Therapy! Another Mini Friends Reunion! Posted: 16 Apr 2013 11:52 AM PDT This cast is clearly itching for a Friends movie just as much as we are! Matt LeBlanc will be joining Lisa Kudrow as a guest star on the third season of her show Web Therapy, making this the second mini Friends reunion announcement in the last two months! Web Therapy creator Dan Bucatinsky revealed that Matt will "[play] a gambler," which is all fine and good until Lisa's character "becomes one, too." He said:
Matt is the third Friend to guest on Lisa's HBO show -- Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer have also made appearances. But this marks the first time in NINE years that our beloved Joey and Phoebe will be seen on-screen together! Dan also teased that we'd be getting glimpses of Steve Carrell, Chelsea Handler, and Meg Ryan. But that's besides the point. Get with it, you guyzz! | Wisconsin College Placed On Lockdown Following Gun Sighting; Suspect Now In Custody Posted: 16 Apr 2013 11:40 AM PDT Thanks to a couple of savvy students, a situation that could have possibly become a terrifying nightmare for one Wisconsin college was immediately halted Tuesday morning. According to University public relations director Claire Beglinger, two students spotted what they described as a white male in his 50s near the tennis courts of Waukesha's Carroll University with a "long gun." They immediately called public safety officers to report the situation. Soon after that, the University was placed on lockdown while students received the following alert from campus officials on their cell phones at 10:39 AM:
At 11:25 AM, police officers with their guns drawn had closed off Maple Street near the campus. Fortunately, the bearded man was soon captured and taken into custody, though no further details concerning his intention have been revealed. Just after noon, the lockdown was lifted "per instructions from the Waukesha Police Department and the Carroll Campus Safety Department." This all happened on the sixth anniversary of the Virginia Tech shooting. Though it isn't clear yet if this situation would have resulted in another tragedy, we're sincerely impressed with the speed and performance of the police response. [Image via AP Images.] |
