Kim Kardashian reshot scenes to make herself look religious & impress Tebow Posted: 08 Feb 2012 09:25 AM PST You know, I’m really starting to feel sorry for Tim Tebow. Not only has the guy dealt with Katy Perry’s parents trying to set him up with their daughter, but he’s had to suffer through Perry dedicating lewd song lyrics to him about his “Peacock.” In addition, Tebow has been fending off the advances of Kim Kardashian, which he politely declined, but she hasn’t gotten the message. Everyone knows that Kim — with her sex tape, Playboy spread, and two divorces — has no business trying to get into Tebow’s pants; well, everyone knows except for Kim herself. Even though she reportedly has sworn off football players, Kim hasn’t given up on bagging Tim, and his resistance has seemingly only stoked her desire to get in his good graces. Now she’s walking around wearing cross necklaces, Tweeting about starting a bible study group, and doing the church-buddy thing with LeAnn Rimes. It’s so transparent, but she really believes that Tim (and the rest of us) are stupid enough to believe her act. Now this week’s issue of OK! is all about Kim “pray[ing] for a chance” with Tebow, whom she’s been targeting for months, and she even went so far as to reshoot some later episodes of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” to highlight her (fake ass) religious values and pious nature. Really.
[From OK!, print edition, February 20, 2012] This story is completely believable. Kim’s already been busted reshooting scenes of “Kourtney & Kim” to make herself look more sympathetic while pretending to agonize over the decision to divorce Kris Humphries. Also, that unnamed source who insists that Kim and her family are incredibly spiritual and devout Catholic? To state the obvious, that sounds a lot like a source named “Kris Jenner.” We all know how Kris dreams of controlling the tabloids, right? The really funny thing about Kim’s obvious maneuver is that she assumes that Tim would even watch her show in the first place. Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet and WENN |
OK!: Sandra Bullock has a new producer boyfriend, he’s Ryan Reynolds’ best friend Posted: 08 Feb 2012 09:12 AM PST
[Details from OK!, writeup by Hollywood Life] I so want this to happen for Sandy, but it sounds like all they’ve got is the detail that this guy attended a party with her and was by her side, which was explained away in detail by the rep. Who knows what’s true or if OK! is only going by the paparazzi photos and doesn’t have any other source. I like that she’s got her private life on lockdown, and I like that she hasn’t jumped into another relationship and is focusing on being a mom. I don’t think there’s much to this story, but I would be happy if I’m wrong. Sandy deserves some good lovin’ and I still find her awesome. JJ didn’t taint her in my eyes. Jonathon Komack Martin and Sandra Bullock are shown on 8-1-11 at the premiere of The Change Up. She’s also shown at the same premiere with Ryan Reynolds. Sandra and her son Louis are shown today in LA, where she was taking him to school. Credit: WENN.com |
Scarlett Johansson, Democrat, worries about Rick Santorum’s sweater vests Posted: 08 Feb 2012 08:49 AM PST These are some new photos of Scarlett Johansson out in NYC last night with her brother Hunter. Hunter was her date for Runway To Win Launch fundraiser for Pres. Obama. Lots of fashion designers and Vogue people were at the event, but ScarJo was one of the few actresses. So she ended up getting a lot of face time with the media outlets covering the event, and she ended up sounding extremely vapid. Like, I understand that she was at a political fundraiser, and I'm not hating on her because she's a staunch Democrat – those are my politics too! But I'm so wary of celebrities pontificating out of their ass about anything political, and I don't think ScarJo is the brightest or the most eloquent of the Democrat celebrities, you know? So, first off, Us Weekly had a story about Scarlett getting on her high horse about how she's NOT going to go to fashion shows this year. She told Us Weekly, "You won’t see me at any fashion shows, I prefer to be much more low key. I just remembered it was that time of the year, I’ll need to stay away from Lincoln Center." Girl, you're at a fundraiser thrown by VOGUE. You're also a "model" more than an actress, with several high-profile endorsement deals, several of them with fashion houses. Stop acting like you're so "above" fashion. The next fumble – Scarlett was asked about Pres. Obama and Michelle Obama's style, and she said, "They’re both so stylish and they both have this casual, cool style that’s personal to them. They’re a really fashionable couple.” When asked about the Republicans fighting it out for their party's nomination, Scarlett chose to discuss Rick Santorum… and his sweater vests. She said: “Oh gosh, so sad. My dad wore them and I mean they’re charming for family photos I guess and dinner with the grandparents. I think there’s an ironic way to wear a sweater vest but other than that I’m not sure.” So, Scarlett Johansson, self-appointed political advocate, can only discuss the president's style, and the style of one of the Republicans. Because Santorum's sweater vests are what's disturbing, right? Not his agenda. It's all about the vests. And remember, Scarlett's so ABOVE fashion too. And finally, when she was told that Republicans were criticizing the Vogue fundraiser as "elitist," ScarJo replied, "Why would they say that? They are all so unfashionable. Let them say what they want!” She brought it back around to fashion. How vapid is this girl? |
Gisele “Yoko” Bundchen is also hated by the Patriots’ WAGs Posted: 08 Feb 2012 08:21 AM PST I am not a sports person. I am a celebrity-gossip person. I will sit with you and talk about C-list celebrity famewhores for literally HOURS. If you try to talk to me about sports, my eyes will glaze over and I'll start daydreaming about kittens. I'm just putting that out there, because I think my anti-sports bias is affecting the way I'm reacting to the ongoing Gisele Bundchen controversy. To recap, shortly after the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl, Gisele was walking with friends and she got heckled by a Giants fan. Gisele lost her temper, and she said to her friend,"You have to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball… My husband can not f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times." She was caught on camera making this aside to a friend, and it's debatable as to whether Gisele cared that the camera caught her words. What's clear is that in Gisele's mind, her husband's teammates were the ones who screwed up, not Tom. It was a bitchy thing for Gis to say, but in the grand scheme of dumb, sanctimonious, Goop-tastic crap that has come out of Gisele's mouth, her Super Bowl comments didn't even make my top ten. Now, hours after Gisele made those comments, someone Patriots-related leaked to TMZ that Tom's teammates "felt betrayed" by Gisele. And more people are starting to line up to complain about Gis.
[From The Chicago Sun-Times] I’ve referred to Gisele as “The Brazilian Gwyneth” before, but Goop’s bad press is never THIS bad. Usually when peasants line up to tell stories about Gwyneth, it’s surprisingly nice. Why is Gisele so hated? Is it because she’s really not a nice person? Is it jealousy? I don’t know. It's gotten so bad that reporters are now asking GIANTS what they think about Gis's comments. Osi Umenyiora told reporters, "I mean, that is her husband. She is supposed to stay out of things like that but at the end of the day, that is their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.” When Osi was asked if a teammate should have to apologize for a mouthy wife, he said, “Nah, she shouldn't. Listen man, we just won the Super Bowl. We are not saying nothing about no one, whatever her name is.” Whatever her name is! Take that, Gis. However, Giant Brandon Jacobs told reporters, “She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up." Ugh. That quote makes me Team Gis. Oh, and people are starting to refer to Gisele as Yoko – I mean, I guess that just started recently? Gisele is the "Yoko" of the Pats? That one might fit, actually. And even though the video of Gis's dis got played on a loop, there's also video of her telling Tom after the game, "You played the best game of your life … you were amazing." Is it wrong that I still think this a tempest in a teapot? Yeah, it sucks for Tom and his relationship with his teammates, but why is everyone else getting so upset about it? |
Connor Cruise apologizes for his homophobic rant post-Patriots loss Posted: 08 Feb 2012 08:20 AM PST One of the Tom Cruise stories that has always stuck with me is Bronson Pinchot's assessment of Cruise as a young man, when they worked together on Risky Business. In a 2009 tell-all interview with The AV Club, Pinchot described a 20-year-old Tom Cruise this way:
[Via previous Celebitchy story] I was reminded of that story this morning because Page Six has a very interesting piece about Tom's son Connor. Connor is 17 years old, and I have mixed feeling about Connor being the subject of this gossip piece, but in my defense, Connor seems to want to be a public figure – he's using his Hollywood connections to launch himself as a DJ. Anyway, Connor is a Patriots fan, and his rep, Todd Krim, is not. When the Pats lost, Krim sent his client a playfully gloating text. And Connor responded with a homophobic hissy fit.
[From Page Six] It sounds like the Cruise camp has mixed feelings about how to handle this – Connor apologized through his reps, and yet this line is still included: "Krim says the Twitter tantrum ended their professional relations, while sources close to Cruise say they'd parted ways weeks ago." That's a classic "this dude has an axe to grind, that's why he's making up this story" tactic. With Connor's apology, it looks like Krim's account is likely pretty accurate. So that means Connor is a chip off the old block, right? |
Madonna is pissed off at M.I.A. for stealing focus during the half-time show Posted: 08 Feb 2012 07:21 AM PST I still don't know why people are so upset about M.I.A.'s bird-flipping at the Super Bowl Half-Time show. It was JUST a middle finger. Yes, it revealed to the world that M.I.A. is an immature person, but I don't get the hand-wringing. One of the unfortunate side effects of the M.I.A. controversy is that it became the "topic" when discussing Madonna's performance. People were no longer talking about how well or how badly Madge did, they were only talking about MIA's middle finger. And Madonna won't stand for that! She will not be ignored.
[From The Sun] Ugh, it was JUST A MIDDLE FINGER. Calm down. Kids see worse crap all the time, and if I was a parent, I think I would have been more peeved with Madonna's grandma-hip-thrusts. In other M.I.A. news that possibly only interests me, she and her billionaire baby-daddy have split, according to the NYDN. MIA was with Benjamin Bronfman, son of Edgar Bronfman Jr., for years, and they're now living in separate cities – she’s in London and he’s in NYC. Apparently, Benjamin is pretty much raising their son Ikhyd on his own – sources claim MIA "sometimes goes six weeks without seeing" Ikhyd. |
Russell Brand refuses to take a cent of Katy Perry’s money in the divorce Posted: 08 Feb 2012 07:02 AM PST Finally, here are some photos of Katy Perry at that DirectTV party where she sang about wanting to rip off Tim Tebow’s pants and check out his “Peacock.” Then after the Super Bowl, Katy reportedly partied until 3 a.m. at the Giants bash. She’s always “partying.” I can’t really even identify with that word since these days, and I haven’t done so since my early 20s. It’s a strange word, for I remember shouting the words to Beastie Boys “Fight For Your Right” as a tween while my (mildly overprotective) dad grew worried. He said something along the lines of “Do you know what ‘partying’ even means? It means having sexual relations with complete strangers.” Yeah, I stopped singing the song aloud after that little discussion. Anyway, Katy’s been partying her ass off and leaving the finer (or possibly all of the) details of her divorce to estranged husband Russell Brand and his attorneys. While she certainly can’t be enjoying the dissolution of her marriage, it looks like she’s got nothing to worry about in the financial department. Russell doesn’t want a scrap of Katy’s money even though he’s entitled to plenty of it under California law:
[From TMZ] This is a smart move on Russell’s part, and I imagine that Russell did so for reasons that are threefold: (1) He has enough money of his own; (2) He just wants out of the marriage and won’t stick around arguing for a moment longer than necessary; (3) He’s thinking about his image. And even if his career hits the skids and he runs out of money, there’s always money to be made by selling out his marriage secrets in Booky Wook 3, right? Meanwhile, Russell’s been stalking the streets of Los Angeles alone. While various insiders claim that he’s shagging other chicks and wants to get with Zooey Deschanel, he’s putting forth the appearance of getting back to work. For all the public knows, his only downtime consists of playing a few games of pool with the guys. Oh, and wearing more scarves. Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet and WENN |
Adele: “I’ve never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines” Posted: 08 Feb 2012 06:48 AM PST I can't believe People Magazine finally put Adele on the cover! At long last. I wonder why it's happening now? Oh, derp – it just occurred to me, it's probably because of the Grammys this weekend, right? Adele is expected to sweep up, as she should, and she's going to perform too – it will be her first performance since her throat surgery. So People Mag wants to get in there first with a human-interest piece about Adele's health and her maybe-married boyfriend Simon. Here's what People Mag has released:
[From People] It's true that Adele never seems to shame-spiral about her weight, and she owns her body admirably (at least, in my opinion – I admire her). I wonder if she was even offended by Karl Lagerfeld's "she's a little too fat" comments? Hopefully she just laughed them off and poured herself another drink. God, I hope Adele wins big at the Grammys. I hope Beyonce and her horrible album get SHUT OUT. Archival photos of Adele, cover courtesy of People Magazine. |
Charlize Theron is Chelsea Handler’s latest drinking buddy, ugh Posted: 08 Feb 2012 05:50 AM PST This story upsets me. You know how little I think of Chelsea Handler, and how little I think of people who associate with Chelsea. She's a drunken vortex of Anti-Talent. In the past few years, Chelsea has gotten her vodka-soaked hooks in Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon – Chelsea and Reese actually worked together in This Means War, with Chelsea’s presence pretty much ruining the trailer (and I would imagine the film as well). So with Reese now infected with L'Handler, and Aniston fully committed to her new BFF/drinking buddy (where is Courteney Cox, by the way?), it seems like Chelsea is still looking to pull more A-listers to The Drunk Side. Her latest victim? Charlize Theron. Nooooooo.
[From Us Weekly] It sounds like this story is coming directly from Camp Handler – the reference to "Belvedere Vodka" is especially suspicious coming from an unnamed source. Isn't Chelsea's life pretty much sponsored by Belvedere Vodka? And Charlize just happened to pick up the same brand of vodka that Chelsea gets paid to endorse? Right. I believe that Charlize and Chelsea hung out, and I believe that Charlize is a good-time girl who likes to party. But I'd like to believe that Charlize is smart enough to realize that hanging out with Chelsea isn't helping her rep, you know? |
Jennifer Garner: “I found divorce a crushing experience” Posted: 08 Feb 2012 05:38 AM PST
[From The Sun.co.uk via OK! Magazine] There’s been a lot of gossip that Garner isn’t exactly the faithful type. We’ve heard that she cheated on Foley with actor Michael Vartan from Alias, whom she hooked up with in 2003 either before or after her divorce. Then there were rumors that she was unfaithful to Vartan with Affleck, as she started dating Affleck in 2004 seemingly right around the time she split with Vartan. Whatever went on, at the least she was relationship hopping. She seems like the type of woman who feels that they need to be in a relationship all the time. She has that in common with Ben’s ex, Jennifer Lopez. It is nice to hear Jennifer gush about Ben. They speak about each other sparingly but when they do you can tell that they have a lot of respect and love for each other. You do get the sense that they’ve weathered storms together like so many other couples, but that they’re in a good place now. Maybe she’s also telling us, in a roundabout way, that divorce is not an option for her again. Here’s Garner out yesterday with her daughter Violet, 7. That girl is so adorable! She’s also shown the day before with daughter Seraphina, 3, equally adorable and sassy. Photo of her with Ben is from 1-9-12. Credit: Pablo/FameFlynet Pictures |
