Chaka Khan Speaks Out On The Death Of Whitney Houston Posted: 14 Feb 2012 01:10 PM PST The real tragedy here, like so many others that we've lost before her, is that it seems like this loss could have been prevented. At least, according to Chaka Khan. The icon, who herself is a recovering addict, spoke on Piers Morgan Tonight about the loss of whom she considered to be her "little sister," Whitney Houston, and she believes the troubled singer's death could have been prevented, if she had someone with her who could have kept her away from substance abuse. She explains:
Just awful to even think about. The poor thing. Hopefully, if there is any silver lining in this devastating loss, it's that this will serve as a reminder to those in the industry who are struggling with addiction - or close to those who are - that life can be lost in a split second, and that if they need help, now is the time to reach out for it. May Whitney R.I.P. Our thoughts continue to go out to Chaka, as well as all of Whitney's friends, family, loved ones, and fans during this impossibly difficult time. [Image via WENN.] |

Jon Stewart Slams CNN For Their Coverage Of Whitney Houston's Death Posted: 14 Feb 2012 12:40 PM PST The Daily Show with Jon Stewart He makes some valid points here. Check out the video (above) of Jon Stewart speaking out against CNN for the way in which they covered Whitney Houston's death - by breaking the news to random people on the street in search of reactions. We definitely agree that the network could have used more tact with their approach. What do U think? Do U agree with Jon's comments??? |

Magda Szubanski Makes An Important Valentine's Day Announcement: I'm Gay! Posted: 14 Feb 2012 12:10 PM PST Good for her! Embrace the person you were born to be! British-born Australian actress Magda Szubanski took a proud and inspiring stance on national television, standing up for legalizing gay marriage everyone and coming out as a proud gay woman herself! In an emotional and inspiring interview, Magda shared with the world her feelings about being gay and find ways to have the community more accepted worldwide. She shared:
Beautifully said! We couldn't agree more! Bill O'Reilly Thinks Whitney Houston Wanted To Die! Posted: 14 Feb 2012 11:50 AM PST Welp! The man never said he wasn't controversial! Mark Ballas' Girlfriend Causes Three-Car Accident - Driving HIS Audi! Posted: 14 Feb 2012 11:40 AM PST Oh no! Mark Ballas' Audi was involved in a three-car fender bender on the Sunset Strip that left the vehicle so damaged it couldn't be driven - and the Dancing With The Stars dancer wasn't even behind the wheel! Apparently, his girlfriend Tiffany Dunn was responsible for the crash when she drove into a Porsche, which in return, knocked that car into another! Luckily, no one was hurt and insurance can cover all of the damage, but eek! We imagine this means he'll be suspending Miz Dunn's driving privileges for quite some time! Glad everyone's safe, though! Smash Dips In The Ratings, The Voice Still Holding Strong Posted: 14 Feb 2012 11:20 AM PST Please. PLEASE. Don't let Smash be the next Studio 60. We don't know where all of you were last night, but we were watching the second episode of Smash on NBC. And let us just tell you -- it was GOOD! Bold moves were made, surprising twists, and Anjelica Huston threw a drink in someone's face. Di-va! But alas, the turn out wasn't as stellar for the second episode as the episode itself. Dropping down 29 and 25 percent from last week's debut, the show drew in 8.1 million total viewers while scoring a 2.8 rating among the coveted 18-49 crowd. The same couldn't be said of the show's lead in The Voice, however, which grabbed 16.1 million while doing a 5.9, dipping only slightly from the week before. Not bad, not bad. Bet it helped to have someone make a guest appearance on the show! HA! ;) |
Happy Valentines Day, Love Kristen Stewart! Posted: 14 Feb 2012 11:10 AM PST Aww! Here now is "Kristen Stewart" with the moving tale of how the day of love came to be! (above) Such a way with words this one has! All in good fun, of course! |
Watch Meryl Streep Have A Fairytale Moment With Colin Firth At The BAFTAs! Posted: 14 Feb 2012 10:50 AM PST Cinder-Meryl! Ha! We don't think you can be human and not adore Meryl Streep. You don't have to love her movies (although The Devil Wears Prada has to be at least in your collection), but you have to love Meryl. She is pure and educated and honest and above all, extraordinarily humble. Which is why when she won the BAFTA this weekend, tripped, lost her shoe and had to have Colin Firth go get it, it wasn't embarrassing -- it was charming! And you know what? She has the confidence and the grace to let the faux pas just roll right off of her! Amazing! Check out the video (above) to marvel at her class! Well deserved win and moment, Meryl! |
