Brandy Celebrates Her Birthday On An Unfortunate Night Posted: 12 Feb 2012 01:00 PM PST This will certainly be one birthday that Brandy will never forget. The singer celebrated her birthday at Ne-Yo's 4th Annual Midnight Brunch at the Supper Club in West Hollywood, which just happened to be the same night Whitney Houston died. She and her brother Ray J had the small celebration after attending the Clive Davis pre-Grammy event and yes, it was a melancholy event for everybody. Just a few hours before Whitney's death, Ray J had tweeted out: Happy BirthDay to my beautiful Sister Brandy! I love you 4Life And I'm alwayz here 4 you! #happybirthdayBrandy 2/11 During the evening, Ne-Yo said: "The wonderful thing about Whitney Houston was she was the kind of person that you could not keep down. She went through bumps and bruises in her career, in her life, whatever the case may be. That's human, everybody goes through it, but it's not about the fall -- it's about the get back up. That's what Whitney Houston was about, the get-back-up. So even in this situation she wouldn't want us to be sad right now, she would want us to celebrate the great thing that her life was as well, as opposed to mourning her death." More Details On Whitney's Death, Autopsy Scheduled For Today Posted: 12 Feb 2012 12:40 PM PST Hopefully, this will bring us some answers. An autopsy on the body of Whitney Houston is scheduled for today. A cause of death will not be confirmed until a toxicology report is completed, but as more details come out about the singer's death, it looks like Whitney may have drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton. In a shocking sight, Whitney was found with her face underwater by her hairdresser. Her stylist, hairdresser, and two bodyguards were in the room waiting for Whitney to come out to start getting ready for Clive Davis' party. They had become worried because she had been in the bathroom for over an hour and that's when the hairdresser discovered her body. One of the bodyguards came running in when they heard the hairdresser scream and helped pull Whitney out of the tub. Paramedics arrived shortly after, and as we mentioned, they performed CPR, but Whitney remained unresponsive. She was declared dead at 3:55 PM PST. After a search of the room, law enforcements found many pills including: "a plethora of sedatives including Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication that was found in her hotel room." The pills were taken into custody by Beverly Hills PD and will be included into the investigation of her death. Bobby Brown Speaks, Breaks Down In Tears At Concert Posted: 12 Feb 2012 12:13 PM PST Last night, Bobby Brown performed with New Edition at the Landers Center in Southaven, Miss. just hours after hearing that his ex-wife Whitney Houston had passed away. Crying on stage at several moments during the show, Bobby had to stop to compose himself during a heartfelt performance of his hit Tenderoni. He told the crowd: "First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all. Second, I would like to say, I love you, Whitney. The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage." A concertgoer said: "Bobby asked us to pray for his daughter and to pray for him. When he cried, I could feel the pain he was suffering, because he could not be with his daughter tonight, the time she needs him the most. I cried just watching Bobby speak." Meanwhile, Bobby, who is said to be "beside himself with grief," has finally released a touching statement: "I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time." Whitney Houston's Daughter Rushed To The Hospital On Stretcher!!! Posted: 12 Feb 2012 11:31 AM PST Oh no!!! Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles!!! Police responded to a medical emergency call, and Bobbi was taken away on a stretcher, but so far, there's been no confirmation as to why or when she was transported. As we told you earlier, Bobbi Kristina tried to see her mother's body at the Beverly Hilton, but was visibly upset when she was turned away by police officers. The awards show has chosen Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan to perform a "respectful musical tribute" to the singer at tonight's broadcast. Grammy Executive Producer Ken Erhlich said: "It's too fresh in everyone's memory to do more at this time, but we would be remiss if we didn't recognize Whitney's remarkable contribution to music fans in general, and, in particular, her close ties with the Grammy telecast and her Grammy wins and nominations over the years." Bobbi Kristina Was Denied Access To See Whitney's Body Posted: 12 Feb 2012 10:20 AM PST So disheartening. Whitney Houston's 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina was turned away by Beverly Hills police when she arrived at the Beverly Hilton to see her mother's body. When Bobbi Kristina showed up on the 4th floor of the hotel, officers informed her that no one was allowed to see the body, which, as you can imagine, made Bobbi extremely upset. She apparently got into a shouting match with police, as she screamed, curse, and demanded to see her mother. She was still denied access to the room and eventually left. And that's not all - Dionne Warwick had also showed up to the hotel, but was also turned away. Poor Bobbi Kristina. Our hearts really go out to her. Dionne Warwick And Cissy Houston Talked To Whitney Just Before She Died Posted: 12 Feb 2012 09:40 AM PST Everything seemed fine according to Whitney Houston's mother Cissy Houston and cousin Dionne Warwick. Cissy spoke with her daughter just 25-30 minutes before Whitney died and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The two apparently chatted about attending Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party later that night. Dionne, who always remained close with Whitney, had also spoken to her just a few hours before to make sure that they were sitting at the same table at Clive's event. There were no signs of any trouble. The two (seen above) performed a lovely duet together at Clive's pre-Grammy party last year. Back in 2011, we posted a video of their performance and noted that this may have possibly been a new start for Whitney. Since hearing the tragic news, Dionne's people say that she is inconsolable and is an "absolute mess." Her mother Cissy is said to be "hysterical." As we can imagine, the news of Whitney's death is not only devastating to her fans and to the music industry, but this must be gut-wrenching for her family. Whitney was only 48 when she died.
