This is a question for the Twihards and the non-Twihards: what would you do if you saw Kristen Stewart and/or Robert Pattinson just hanging out at a music festival? Like, you're sitting there, chilling out, watching Hologram Tupac or whatever, and suddenly you notice that Kristen is biting her lip just a few yards away. What would do? Respect their privacy and simply feel puffed up that you and Sparkles are sharing the same Hologram Tupac experience? Or would you go over and make a scene? I'm asking because in these photos of K-Stew and Sparkles at Coachella over the weekend, there is a distinct lack of crazy Twihards making their lives miserable. How did that happen? Did Kristen's Daisy Dukes throw everyone off the scent? Anyway, against impossible odds, it seems like Kristen and Rob got to do Coachella in true hipster fashion. They weren't swarmed. They weren't torn limb from limb by rabid fan-girls. According to Celebuzz's sources, they spent Sunday hanging out at the beer garden, with Kristen "looking happy and relaxed" as she and Rob hung out with friends – they were seen “laughing and looking like they were having a fun time." Later in the day, at the Radiohead concert, a source says, "They were kissing and holding hands during Radiohead, swaying and singing along to parts [of the songs.]" Aw. That's kind of cute.

Katy Perry was at Coachella again for the second weekend in a row, and she had a new “boyfriend” in tow. I put that word in quotes because it seems far too soon for Katy to actually have a boyfriend. Not that she shouldn’t move on after her divorce — Russell Brand certainly has done so with several women already — but this dude wasn’t even around with Katy during last weekend’s Coachella jaunt. Also, one would think that Katy would be reluctant to hook up with anyone after Baptiste Giabiconi tried to get with her for her musical connections, right? Now it seems that Katy is already dating another relative unknown, and they were photographed holding hands and embracing all over during the weekend’s festivities. This guy’s name is Robert Ackroyd (no relation to Dan), and he functions as the guitarist and backing vocalist for the London-based Florence + the Machine. So Katy’s getting with another English dude, and he’s very … tall:
[From Life & Style] So what should we make of Katy’s new man? He’s very bland looking but has a decent body. He’s also an up-and-coming musician, which sends out warning flags that he could be interested in Katy for reasons other than mere romance. Hopefully, she’s aware of this potential (since she considers fame to be so disgusting) and will keep this guy in line. Of course, I’ve described Robert as a “relative unknown,” but that only applies on this side of the pond. In the UK, Florence + the Machine has enjoyed much Top 40 success with their two albums. Maybe this guy really digs her and isn’t just looking for stateside publicity. It must suck for Katy to have to worry about being used like that when moving on from a divorce, but maybe I’m mistaking her for the type to dwell upon that sort of thing. What really bugs me though is that this guy doesn’t wear socks with his Nike sneakers.
Let’s talk about Katy’s outfit for a moment, not that it really matters. This midriff-baring number is okay, and Katy certainly has the figure to pull it off. She also looked slightly classier than while wearing last weekend’s see-thru dress and granny panties. That hair is icky though, and Katy should get rid of those extensions because they weigh down her locks. She’s cuter with a shorter, peppier ‘do.

Is this Jennifer Aniston's one-two punch, her real reaction to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's engagemen announcement? First Jennifer's haggard BFF Chelsea Handler gets sent out to rile up the Pity Party, and then TMZ gets a suspicious report about Aniston's planned wedding to Justin Theroux? Is it on? Or is this just knee-jerk reactionary stuff that comes in the wake of Brangelina's engagement? Should Brad and Angelina's names even be mentioned in this post because, obviously, Jennifer and Justin's love is the real thing and they don't CARE about anyone else who is getting engaged or anything?
[From TMZ] Well, if Jennifer and Justin are engaged right now, I don't think this is how we'd hear about it in an official capacity. Jennifer would totally get the cover of People Magazine – "Jennifer Aniston: ENGAGED… Seven Years After Brad!" But this TMZ report certainly adds to the buzz. It actually sort of reminds me of something… remember when Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson announced their engagement back in November of 2010? They announced their engagement a week after Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo announced theirs. It was a pretty obvious move, an attempt to steal focus, to steal your ex's thunder. Or it could have absolutely been true love. You decide.

These are some photos of LeAnn Rimes at the Malibu Beach Inn Hotel yesterday. As we discussed, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian celebrated their one-year anniversary yesterday, and of course, LeAnn spent the whole weekend on Twitter to celebrate. She was tweeting photos of her "presents" and such, which I'll get to in a moment. First, this tweet made me LMAO: "Sitting w/ Eddie reading Kahlil Gibran. Amazing quote…. 'Is there a greater fault than being conscious of the other person’s faults?'" OMG. That just happened. LeAnn and Eddie spent their anniversary sitting around, while Eddie read Khalil Gibran and LeAnn thought about how everyone judged her, and she decided to tweet about it to sound smart and she misspelled the famous writer’s name. Amazing. This is a photo she tweeted, which makes me think that LeAnn was giving Eddie a beej as he was reading. Ah, first anniversaries!
Anyway, LeAnn got presents! Nevermind that she had to give Eddie her credit card and explain to him exactly what kind of jewelry she wanted. She tweeted, "Angels gave me a gift…so pretty! What a great day already!” She probably means that her step-sons gave her this necklace… which I actually kind of like (I would like it more in white gold).
And before that, she tweeted this photo of the ring Eddie gave her. She wrote, "I have a very thoughtful husband with GREAT taste!!!!” Seriously? It's a pretty tacky-looking cocktail ring.
What kind of stone is that? I'm trying to figure it out. I think it's semi-precious. Like, a quartz or jade or maybe green tourmaline. Here's a site with a list of green semi-precious stones: what does it look like to you?

I know that some of you have grown weary of Demi Lovato always talking about her ongoing rehab and recovery issues, and some people have hinted that she’s less than sincere while answering interview questions. Yet I maintain that no matter what, she’s a valuable role model to her young fans, many of whom are undoubtedly facing the same issues as Demi while growing up. To that end, I don’t mind at least another few rounds of this discussion. However, this interview with Fabulous Magazine is a bit different than Demi’s other recent discussions about her troubles. When she first entered rehab in 2010, the official line was that she entered for emotional and eating disorder issues, and that’s continued to be the official word during her most recent publicity outings as well. Now things are turning in a different direction with some confirmation of those old rumors that Demi used to do lines of coke like a pro. In this interview, Demi admits that she did cocaine and engaged in underage drinking as well:
[From Fabulous Mag] So are these new admissions part of calculated new PR move? Maybe her team just realizes that Demi’s been saying the same stuff for about a year now and figures that since the coke rumors are out there, she might as well admit to them and change up the routine. Still, I find it interesting that she’s specifically calling out the club promoters and “yes” people that surround the rich and famous. It sounds like Demi really has figured out how to cut through the Hollywood crap in that regard, and I can also appreciate that she’s indulging in Kit Kats. Obviously, everyone deserves the occasional Kit Kat.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy Giuliana and Bill Rancic have been open about their fertility treatments and struggle to conceive, documenting Giuliana’s two rounds of IVF on their Style Network reality show, Giuliana and Bill. Things took a very serious turn for them last summer when Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer (she had lumps in both of her breasts) and ultimately had a double mastectomy and reconstruction following an initial unsuccessful lumpectomy. Bill and Giuliana put their baby plans on hold temporarily following Giuliana’s cancer diagnosis, and they just announced that they’re expecting a baby via gestational carrier! They wouldn’t reveal the baby’s gender, and said he/she is due in late summer. Congratulations to them:
[From The Today Show] In terms of the difference between a “gestational carrier” and a “surrogate,” a gestational carrier is pregnant with the baby for the couple, which is biologically theirs. They used one of two embryos which was leftover from Bill and Giuliana’s IVF process, prior to her cancer diagnosis. Maybe I’m just PMSing today but this really got me choked up. I’m not even a big fan of theirs. Giuliana still bugs me, but you can tell they’re a solid couple with a lot of love to give a child. I’m actually excited to see their baby.

Several years ago, Vanity Fair published excerpts from a book called Girls Like Us. You can read the VF excerpt here, and go here to read more about the book. The gist of the VF piece (and the book) was the intertwined careers, romances and trajectories of singers Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. I always remembered the VF article because it was so good, and because I learned a lot about whom those ladies romanced in their early days. I think Warren Beatty managed to sleep with all of them…? James Taylor managed at least two of them as well. Anyway, Hollywood has come callin' and now they're going to make the book into a movie. So who should play the young Carly? The young Carole? The young Joni? Variety claims that Taylor Swift is in talks to play Joni!
[From Variety] As far as looks and general vibes go, I kind of don't hate Swifty for Joni. I have qualms about whether Swifty can ACT, but on looks alone, I could see it. The wide mouth, the ethereal, folksy vibe. I'm just saying… don’t yell about it. Yet. It will be interesting to see who gets cast as young Carole King and young Carly Simon, because I can't even imagine who they would or could get. Wait… Emma Stone for Carly? Think about Emma in a really good Carly wig – couldn't you see it? And please – Jessica Biel WISHES. I actually think Biel looks a lot like a young Carly, but don't even offer her the role, producers. Carole King needs… young, pre-nose job Jennifer Grey. NO, I've got it! Mamie Gummer – Meryl Streep's daughter. She could totally play Carole King. You know what the real problem with this project is, though? Hollywood is so homogenized these days. None of the girls today will ever LET themselves look so odd and unconventionally beautiful like Joni, or Carly or Carole.

[From E! Online] Which version of Halle’s hair is your favorite? I think she looks best with the mid-level curls, in the beach photos. Maybe I’m getting confused because the wind is blowing it back, and/or humidity is making her hair curl up tighter. She possibly has the same hair in both of those photosets, but I doubt it. I like her with the short spiky hair too, it really highlights her face. She’s looking a little Botoxy lately, so perhaps a softer longer style is a better choice. Her hair reminds me of Rihanna’s two-tone curly hair, the style she had during her raucous Hawaiian vacation. If all I saw in those photos of Halle picking up Nahla were her hair and outfit I would have assumed she was Rihanna. Check out this picture in particular:
This is one way to get attention after her big admission that she’s engaged. It’s not a bad strategy, actually. At least she didn’t dip dye it. Halle before extensions:

Pippa Middleton fell to earth last week. After enjoying a befuddling and relentless favoritism in the British and American press, Pippa Middleton made the kind of wrong move that couldn't be explained away. Pippa traveled to Paris, where she was seen in the company of several skeevy and rich French dudes, she went to a costume party (in a really busted looking costume) and then she went joy-riding with several of the dudes, and one of them pulled a (fake?) gun. Pippa was photographed smirking and laughing as her friend pointed the (fake?) gun at a paparazzo. There were stories about Pippa possibly being arrested – although later reports indicate that nothing will happen to her legally. So Pippa is no longer a hot commodity – she's still getting a lot of attention, but now that attention has turned overwhelmingly negative. Before her sister married Prince William, Pippa got some negative attention too – mostly for being the kind of pushy, upwardly-mobile social climber who would do anything and anyone to marry someone rich and titled. But pre-wedding, barely anyone outside of the UK had heard anything about Pippa. Now that she's internationally known, it's going to be interesting to see how she and her family try to combat the negative attention. And for those of you think the Middletons don't have their own press machine – who are you kidding? So one of Pippa's French friends, Romain Rabillard, was sent out to publicly apologize and "re-imagine" the gun controversy. Romain issued a statement, saying: "Last Saturday I was in a car with Philippa Middleton, and we were being followed by paparazzi. The car was being driven by a friend of mine, whom Pippa had only met a few hours before. As a joke, my friend brandished a toy pistol in their direction. Obviously Philippa had no idea that he was going to do that and told him to stop immediately. She did not find it funny. I regret enormously that this incident happened, and especially that Pippa has been subject to the subsequent attention through no fault of her own. I have apologized to her for this.” Wait, what? "She did not find it funny." O RLY? Because Pippa was clearly photographed smiling and laughing at her toy-gun-waving companion. Us Weekly claims that the Middleton family is very "embarrassed" about the whole incident, and Pippa's wild behavior has "put Kate in a very difficult position.” Meanwhile, the Mail is going so far as to claim that Pippa has been put on notice by her family:
[From The Mail] Pippa is 28 years old – why do the Middletons (and the press) consistently treat Pippa and Kate like they're dewy innocents, untouched by the world? I'm just saying – 30 years old is too old to have to fall back on the "Kate isn’t used to keeping this kind of crazy schedule of two events a week, she's working her fingers to the bone!" excuse. And 28 years old is too old to fall back on the "Pippa is worried about her reputation because some big mean guys were playing with a toy gun" argument. These are adult women who have been out in the big, bad adult world for a decade or longer. Stop coddling them. Stop infantilizing them. It’s offensive. (Incidentally, Pippa already had a "bad reputation" before her sister's wedding, as I said. Her "bad reputation" was just whitewashed in a post-wedding haze of butt-lust. This is what Pippa has always been like, that's what I'm saying.)

| Robert Pattinson gets dirty & surreal in the ‘Cosmopolis’ trailer: awesome? Posted: 23 Apr 2012 04:14 AM PDT
The new trailer for David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis has been released, and it reveals a very exciting glimpse of what some might call a triumphant return to Cronenberg’s surrealistic roots of the 1980s and ’90s. This movie, of course, stars Robert Pattinson, is based upon the Don DeLillo novel of the same name, and has been accepted into competition for the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Honestly, this film looks to be the best damn thing that could possibly happen in Rob’s (almost) post-Twilight career. Sure, he did fine in Water for Elephants and Remember Me, but those films did very little to shift audience perception away from broody, vampire-with-a-conscience Edward Cullen. Pattinson’s hopes in proving his acting range seemed almost laughable with the Bel Ami trailer that features him gnawing upon his own fist in frenzied (hilarious) anger. With this Cronenberg project, however, things seem quite different, and Robert will be taken quite seriously as an actor if he succeeds in this role. Here’s the trailer, and we’ll regroup afterwards:
This movie looks compelling and trippy as hell, right? Rob stars as callous billionaire trader Eric Packer (who does not seem entirely unlike Patrick Bateman of American Psycho fame), who experiences quite the surreal day of sex, drugs, and violence while crossing Manhattan in his limousine. This film is pure Cronenberg madness (fraught with all sorts of symbolism), and Rob couldn’t be further from a sparkly vampire while brandishing a gun (at one point, into his own hand), losing control of his empire, and eventually realizing that someone means to kill him. His co-stars include Juliette Binoche (who looks sexy as hell here), and I’m so glad Paul Giamatti has a decent project like this in his near future (the better to wash away the taint of Tom Cruise in Rock of Ages). Samantha Morton is in this movie too! I love her so much.
The one moment of this trailer that gives me pause is Rob making this face. This particular expression does not bode well.
The blonde with the most lines is Sarah Gadon. She’s cute, but her voice bugs.
