So You Think You Can Dance Canada Has Been Cancelled!

Hopefully the US version doesn't suffer the same fate...

Despite a solid fourth season, we've just learned that Canada's version of So You Think You Can Dance has been officially cancelled.

Here's what Bell Media's vice-president of communications Scott Henderson had to say about it:

"I can confirm that So You Think You Can Dance Canada has not been renewed for a fifth season."

And here's a statement that Bell Media released shortly thereafter:

"The producers of So You Think You Can Dance Canada created four seasons of groundbreaking, high-quality television, delivering on a creative level everything you could ask for as broadcaster, and ending on a creative high note."

"After four seasons and 92 episodes, CTV has decided to pursue other program strategies. This decision was made after careful consideration, including viewership and economic factors. We remain extremely proud of the legacy of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, including raising the profile of dance in this country."

Between this cancellation and the loss of Canadian Idol back in '08, our neighbors to the north have NOT been having phenomenal long-term luck with their reality shows over the past few years!

Ah well! Hopefully some new shows will come out soon to fill the void for all those hardcore dance fans in Canada!

Not that she had to do much explaining, but Mileybird sat down in an interview and opened up.

She expressed how great of a listener Liam Hemsworth is, and how that's all that really matters. He doesn't try to fix her.

She elaborates:

I think [love is] someone that's always there to listen. I think that's the thing people make mistake about is that they always want to have the answers and they're fixers, and I don't like people trying to fix me.

True, girl. Truuuue that!

Dr. Phil Does NOT Want To Interview Casey Anthony!

We're glad to hear you're on board, Dr. Phil!

While he MAY have decided to bring in Casey Anthony's parents for an interview, Dr. Phil has made it clear that he does NOT want to interview Casey herself!

Here's what he had to say about it during a recent interview:

"I think its unlikely she's going to tell what she knows....her actions have spoken louder than any words."

Smart move, Doc! We would be pretty appalled/disappointed/disgusted if you actually brought her in to speak. The idea that she could financially benefit from little Caylee Anthony's death makes us sick.

What do U think? Would Casey Anthony reveal more of the truth if she was given a paid interview???

Charlie Sheen: I'm Totally Sober Now!

Charlie Sheen is ready to face the music.

In an interview with Matt Lauer, the actor insists he's more chill these days.

Regretting nothing but maybe the tiger blood, he explains:

I don't really know what happened. It was one of those things where the planets were aligned, perfectly or imperfectly. I said some stuff and then it caught such traction globally and instantly that I couldn't really put out the fire. From one moment to the next, I didn't know what was going to happen. It was pretty exciting.

Looking back on it, I don't think I would trade it, but there are portions of it I would have amended a little bit. I don't know, the tiger blood, it was so silly and people took it so seriously and I figured, alright, I'll continue to give the people what they want, you know?

I'm seeing my kids a lot more, mending fences with Denise and Brooke, just trying to move forward and prioritize what matters.

I think that's where the life is, you know, it's in those quiet moments. It's not the giant TV deal or the big party or the award or whatever, it's the memory of your child's smile at the end of the day that sort of brings that one lonesome tear, you know?

Wow, wise words from the winning! We're very glad to see him sober and on the right track!

All right, all right, so it's not Peacock (too controversial unfortunately) or Hummingbird Heartbeat, BUT...

It is the best slower song on the album aside from Teenage Dream.

The theme is so universal yet somehow there hasn't been a hit about this kind of thing til Katy Perry came along!

So we're glad this is her sixth single off her sophomore album.

Redmond O'Neal Has Tested Positive For Drug Use In Rehab.

We were afraid that this would happen.

Redmond O'Neal, who was sentenced to a year in a West Los Angeles rehab facility after pleading no contest to felony heroin possession several weeks ago, has tested positive for drugs, and the dirty test is being reported to the court, which could land him in serious, serious trouble.

According to an insider:

"Someone snuck drugs into the rehab facility on Saturday for Redmond. He was given a drug test after he started acting suspiciously, and it came back positive for drugs."

Such a shame. Especially because Judge Keith Schwartz basically told him that this was his last chance, and if he effs up again he will be sent to state prison.

Well, whatever it takes from him to realize that this is a matter of life and death for him at this point, and that he needs to stop - even if that means serving a prison sentence.

He's blown enough chances.

Family & Friends Remember Amy Winehouse With The Release Of Tony Bennett Duet

Today is a somber occasion.

If she were still with us, Amy Winehouse would be celebrating her 28th birthday today with her adoring family and her legions of fans. Still, though Amy is no longer with us, her family has made it possible for all of us to celebrate her life and her music with a special release.

To commemorate the day, her family is releasing her duet with Tony Bennett, Body and Soul, via her website. All the proceeds from the sale of the single will go to her foundation, which her father explains will "support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction."

A beautiful gesture to make in the name of someone truly beautiful and talented.

Mark Ballas is like the resident Mack Daddy of Dancing With The Stars. Every year, whoever he gets partnered with, he always hooks up with them! The dude gets around ... but so far, we haven't heard one complaint from any of his ladies, so he must be worth it!

Adding her name to the ever-growing list is his latest conquest dancing partner, Kristin Cavallari. According to reports, the two have been spending looooooong hours rehearsing their moves (wink, nudge) and when they're not no the dance floor, they are out in West Hollywood putting on a different show. Sources spotted the couple having dinner with fellow Dancing stud Derek Hough, though it sounds like Derek spent most of the evening by himself. The source explains to Star Magazine:

"She was sitting on his lap while he was nuzzling her neck. They were having dinner with Derek Hough but didn't pay him any attention. They were consumed with each other. You can tell she is really into him. Kristin was having a great time! They definitely look like more than friends!"

How predictable sweet!

Well, we're sure their passion will make for better dancing, at least in the beginning. Somewhere towards the end though, they should break up and do a paso doble. Think of all the anger in her kicks and his twirls! Woo!
