Celebs Hit Fall New Yorker's For Children Gala + Pharrell's Qream Party In ATL

Celebs hit Cipriani 42nd St. for the 2011 New Yorkers For Children Fall Gala last night.  Pics of Serena, Rachel Roy, Selita Ebanks, and more inside.  Plus, celebs who hit Pharrell's Qream liquor party in Atlanta inside....

 

Serena rocked this long deep plum gown for the occassion last night:

With a bit of pink highlights added to her hair.  Pretty look.

Selita Ebanks rocked this floor length white and silver strapless gown:

Gorge.

Designer Rachel Roy rocked her black and cream sweater over a deep silver dress.

Kevin Liles hit the event with Trey Songz's mom April.

And Carmelo hit the carpet in his brown pinstripe suit.

Pharrell hosted a private launch party in Atlanta last night for his Qream liquor.

MUSIC FAB: "Watch The Throne" Goes Platinum + Bow Wow Added To Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. Tour

It took them a month, but The Throne's disc Watch The Throne has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Get the deets inside and find out which one of Chris Brown's besties will be going on tour with him next month.

 

The days are long gone when Jay-Z or Kanye West could drop a disc and go platinum in a week. However, it's better to reach platinum over time....than to never see it at all.

Although it took them a month, Jay-Z and Kanye's Watch The Throne collab has been certified platinum by the RIAA.  And I'm sure the sales will increase once the tour starts rolling through various US cities.   Could double or triple platinum be in their future?

 

 

Also in music....

Bow Wow has been added to Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. tour and will hit the road with the "Kiss Kiss" singer next month on October 7 in Tampa, FL.

When asked about the tour Bow Wow said,

“It’s gon’ be fun. Me and Breezy are brothers, man. Our fans know that.  It’s just a different energy when we are on the same bill together or in the same arena. The fans know what to expect, and that’s a hell of a show.”

Bow Wow is set to release his 8th album, Underrated, on December 6, which will be followed by a tour in Japan later this year.  Hmm....wonder if he has any song's about his "ex" Angela Simmons on there?

FIGHT NIGHT: Footage Of Ray J and Fabolous' Altercation Released (VIDEO) + 50 Cents Gives His Re-Play

Video footage of the actual confrontation between Ray J and Fabolous at The Palms Casino has been obtained and we have it for you inside.  Watch Ray J "go off" after the jump......

 

Watching his friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. win a fight this weekend in Las Vegas wasn't enough for rapper 50 Cent.  In a video obtained by TMZ, it looks as though he helped instigate the confrontation between Ray J and Fabolous.  

In the short clip, you'll see Ray J, wearing a red hoodie, confronting Fabolous (who's off-camera) while 50 Cent stands in the middle of them with a big grin on his face.  All you see are his teeth!

We told you earlier that Ray J said he smacked Fab, while Fab said no hits were exchanged....and the video clears it up little.  You will hear a "smack" but no on-camera punches were exchanged.

50 Cent called into FunkMaster Flex's show to give his replay.  He says he didn't instigate it......um......see the video above.  50 Cent also said no hits were landed.

Seems like 50 Cent knew this confrontation was coming all along.  Did he man-up and squash this black-on-black beef.  No!

BIKINI BABES: Rihanna Hits Beaches Of Brazil+Angela Simmons Hits Miami Beach

Rihanna was spotted waving to her fans from her luxe hotel balcony and hitting the Brazilian Beaches today.  We've got pics of her, plus Angela Simmons still spending her days on Miami Beach, inside...

Rih Rih hit the balcony of her hotel to wave HELLO to her fans waiting to catch a glimpse.  She hit the terrace in her cute grey nightie and shorts at the same hotel Beyonce was spotted chillin' at last year.

Then she hit the beaches of Sao Paulo to build sand castles with the kiddies:

Cute.  By the way, Rih will be appearing on tonight's premiere of "Extreme Home Makeover: Home Edition."

LAURA GOVAN ON GETTING BACK WITH GILBERT: We Got That Black, Ghetto, Crazy, Dangerous Love

Seems like "Basketball Wives: L.A." star Laura Govan is extra ready to talk about getting back with fiance' Gilbert Arenas. After she and their 4 kids split from the Orlando Magic baller last year--well, when he picked up and left VA and moved down to Orlando--things seemed real bleak.

 

But now, after revealing to YBF recently that the twosome have reunited, she's speaking out again about their love, Gilbert wanting MORE kids, his money, and more....

Laura called in to Elite DC Radio to chat with Autumn Joi (formerly known as "Seezinz" from "Flavor of Love 3") about Laura and Gilbert being back together.  She addresses how crazy their love is, Gilbert wanting more babies, people's comments about the "small house" in L.A. Gilbert put her and all 4 kids in, and more.  Here are the highlights:

Don't get it twisted.  We were in a place just for a short period of time.  And at the time, that was the most and not to be elaborate.  Like--oh my God this where she livin'? Naw, don't get it twisted.  Come on y'all. I'm not sayin' I'm a gold digger, but I aint messin' with no broke ni**as.  We're good.

On how Gilbert is as a father and already sharing plenty of kids with him

I have 4 kids.  And it's funny because he asked me for some more!  And I was like listen--We'll wait for like 5 years then we'll get it back.  We have 4.  The oldest is 5.  The one thing about Gilbert, although  I met him almost 10 years ago, I knew 10 years ago he would be an amazing father.  That, I pride myself on. He's an amazing dad.  When people get angry, things happen.  But it is what it is.  At the end of the day, he's still an amazing father.  And he's grown and matured a lot.  And I respect him. So...everything is good right now.

Following the successful formula used to turn Bethenny Frankel into a star, BRAVO plans to launch a new reality series next year based on "RHOA" star Kim Zolciak.  Get the deets inside....

 

With its Atlanta-installment as one of the most popular of the "Housewives" franchise, it's only natural that execs would pluck one of the Georgia peaches from the tree and give her a spin-off.  But....it's not who you think.

Although NeNe Leakes made a huge media splash last year as one of the stars of "Celebrity Apprentice" (and has always been a fave of all the shows), and she hasn't been shy about letting folks know she wants her own show, Bravo execs have chosen to give "Housewife" Kim Zolciak a shot a super-stardom with her own series.

A source close to the situation told the HuffPost...

“Kim’s new show is going to follow the very successful Bethenny formula.  A new mom and her fiancé trying to make everything work. Juggling baby, boyfriend and career. But instead of all those trips to a therapist that Bethenny made, expect Kim to work out her problems at the nail salon with friends.”

A show about a mom of 3 who dated a married man for a decade and has a live-in football boyfriend who may or may not be her fiance'?  Wonder how that's gonna work out.

Kobe Bryant & LeBron James Ready To Hand Out Loans To NBA Ballers During The Lock Out?!

Well this is interesting.  In order for the NBA players to keep up their side of the lock-out standoff and not cave to what the billionaires want, the multi millionaires in the league like Kobe Bryant & LeBron James have offered up loans from their own pockets to players in need of money during the lockout.

 

Ballers needing "help" with their bank accounts already?  Some interesting info inside...

Looks like this NBA lock out is going togo on for longer than folks expected.  So the uber rich ballers are pitching in to make sure the NBA players stand their ground for their demands.  Seeing that they may be headed into winter with nan a paycheck, apparently there's a fear NBA players will give up the standoff in order to get their bills paid.  But don't many "ballers" spend their money on unnecessary ish and claim to have so much mula...enough millions that should get you through a few months? 

National Basketball Players Assn. Executive Director Billy Hunter told the L.A. Times yesterday what this standoff is all about:

What would you define as the biggest holdup to an agreement?

"The system. The players are insistent there be no hard salary cap. If they [owners] keep pushing for the type of salary cap they've indicated, we'll give up any percentage to share in the league's future growth. We've already said we won't accept that proposal they've given."

Several of your players are multimillionaires who aren't exposed to the physical rigors other athletes are. If the fans are going to start choosing sides, why should they support the players?

"We have some of the same issues now that so many individuals in this country experience. Of course, the difference is the pay scale. But the system we operate under is pay for performance. These players are the widgets. They're replaceable. They face competition for their jobs. They do endure injuries, their bodies take a toll. The back end of some of their lives will be difficult."

So, the players have saved money for a lockout fund?

"I haven't heard one guy yet say anything about their financial strain. They say they're prepared. Plus, we know the league has to return 8% of last year's salaries from an escrow fund for coming in lower than the [2010-11 salary] cap. That's another $26 million to the guys to help them if the paychecks don't start coming Nov. 16."

What role will NBA superstars like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James play as this moves forward?

"They've been deeply involved in the meetings we've had. I know Kobe is intimately involved in interfacing with colleagues and sharing in a pool of revenue to help the others get through this. Kobe has volunteered to do that in the event others need, he and others are prepared to loan money if necessary."

Now y'all know Vanessa Bryant is gonna have something to say about these "loans".  But kudos to the fellas for helping their colleagues stand in solidarity.
