Nicki Minaj On Copycat Rumors: That Designer Is LYING! I Don't Even Know Her!

Nicki Minaj and her styling team are striking back at rumors that Nicki & her stylists stole one of her colorful Fashion Week designs from a designer.  Find out what Team Nicki told TheYBF.com about the alleged copycat situation inside...

Designer Jessica Rodgers accused Nicki Minaj of jacking a design Jessica showed her, and having her own top made in a very similar way for NY Fashion Week 2011.

But now, Nicki's styling and image consultant, Joel Dash, tells TheYBF.com Jessica is full of fashion sh*t.  And they have, in fact, never even met this Jessica person. 

He says, "That whole story about Nicki Minaj supposedly 'stealing ideas' or her styling team being in contact with that unknown designer is a complete fabrication. It is false! This is just a designer who wants attention. We have never been in contact with this particular designer on behalf of Nicki or any other clients we currently work with."

Joel revealed that the designer of Nicki's top in question is actually a Japanese brand.

Nicki's top which is in question was created by a Japanese brand called DOG, please contact them to verify that we did not ask them to create this pieces specifically but rather saw it in their lookbook and we simply requested this look for Nicki," Joel tells TheYBF.com.

Joel went on to say, "We are not sure who created the piece first, for all we know, she copied DOG?"

OH MY! Angela Simmons' Bikini Bod Hits The Beaches Of Miami

After strutting her stuff around Lincoln Center for fashion week, Angela Simmons hopped a plane and flew to Miami to hit the beach and kick it with friends.  See Angie having some beachtime fun during her birthday weekend inside.....

 

Donning a pink and yellow monokini with lots of petls on the boobies, Angela Simmons hit the beach in Miami yesterday. 

Chick has some serious abs!

At one point, one of her girls was buried in the sand.

Cassie Hits "106 & Park" For Day 2, Talks Vocal Coach & New Music

Cassie spent the last couple of days filling in for Rocsi on "106 & Park."  On Friday, she got into her B-Girl stance (in honor of Freestyle Friday) and tended to her hosting duties.  She also dished on her upcoming singles and her vocal coach (Thank You Jesus).

With a ponytail and shaven sides, Cassie threw on her sweats and crop top and gold jewery to host "106 & Park" Friday.

Oh ok Terrence.  Somebody's been getting beefed up in the gym with a extra crisp lining.  Let me find out....

Cassie's model self revealed on Thursday during her first day of hosting that her new single, "King od Hearts" off her album Electro Love, will drop in October.   She also has mixtape singles with Jadakiss, Mobb Deep, and Fabolous.

"I don't want to call it dance 'cause it's not dance, but it has a dance vibe if you want to say that. If we were in this room playin' it right now, everybody would just be hanging from the lights."

"[I've been] working with vocal coaches, working really, really, really hard 'cause this is really important to me and I have a lot of great records that I'm excited for everyone to hear," she said.

Miss Universe Leila Lopes Makes Her Pretty Press Rounds

The brand new Miss Universe 2011, Angolan Leila Lopes, made her press rounds recently for her new role.  We've got pics of the gorge beauty queen inside...

Miss Lopes made her way to NYC yesterday just days after getting crowned in Brazil, to make press rounds after stopping by the US Embassy to cop a visa:

She also posed with her family right after getting crowned.  And her recent ride on American Airlines to NYC:


 

 

And Ms. Lopes isn't taking her crown without getting shade thrown at her from other contestants.  Miss Fance says the other contestants don't understand how Leila won:

Miss France, Laury Thilleman, talked to Premiere.fr about Miss Angola’s unpleasant behavior, her lack of personality and her questionable fashion taste. Her declaration started with the complaint that Lopes was not sociable. “She was the only girl I didn’t know very well. We didn’t see her much.” Then she criticized her looks. “She was often in jeans and not wearing makeup. We were all surprised by her win”. Thilleman explains that many other contestants worked more and were not rewarded as they should have been. “I don’t know, something is missing in her temperament”, the 20-year-old French beauty added.

Miss France believes that the main reason Lopes won is that the contest was held in Brazil. “The fact that the competition was held in Brazil surely played a role.”

Doesn't making public statements like these actually speak to why Miss France DIDN'T win?  Just askin'....

MUSIC FAB: Monica's "Until It's Gone"

Monica may be happily married but she still knows how to belt out a song about heartache,  Listen to "Until It's Gone" off her New Life disc inside....

On her upcoming album New Life (in stores Oct. 4) Monica sings about motherhood, her career and her husband Shannon Brown, all of which contribute to her new life. 

But that doesn't mean she is afraid to delve into past relationships and reflect on lessons learned either.  On a new track, that she leaked to fans earlier today on her website, Monica revists and old relationship.
