DATE NIGHT!? Jordin Sparks Joins Jason Derulo For His Intimate 21st Birthday Dinner

Are Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo making sweet music together?  Out of the sudio? The pair were spotted having a cozy dinner last night as part of Jason's 21st birthday festivities.  See the pics inside....

 

Though we last saw Jason Derulo out with Tika Sumpter, last night, he and Jordin Sparks shared a private dinner together with a few friends at Philippe Chow Restaurant West Hollywood, CA.  ordin is lookingdamn good these days and this dress is HOT.

And yes, they were even spotted leaving together.  Maybe the two singles are just getting to know each other for now....

Jason later tweeted his excitement about the evening saying,

It's my b-day all over again! Celebrating big with my Warner fam @ Philippe's Melrose!

They went in to the event with Jordin's hair down.  Must have gotten hot inside.

I'm sure they also toasted his new album, Future History, which drops tomorrow.

DADDY & ME: Will Smith & Willow Are Bookworms In L.A.

Will Smith spent his birthday weekend grabbing up reading material with his daughter Willow.  Pics inside of the daddy-daughter duo hitting up Barnes & Noble inside...

Looks like the two bookworms were having a good ol time chatting up fans in Barnes & Noble in L.A.  Can't tell if it's hot or old out seeing that daddy Willy rocked a t-shirt and basketball shorts.  And Willow had on a denim jacket with an oversized grey coat over that.

We love seeing daddy-daughter time though.  Cute!

 

Mariah Carey Channels Vintage 90's Flavor In The Studio With JD

Hot mama Mariah Carey is back in the studio working on new music, and if her return to her original curly locks and off-the-shoulder lace shirts she used to constantly rock is any indication, we could see Mimi bringing back that vintage 90s R&B!  See pics of she and Jermaine Dupri inside...

 

Jermaine Dupri recently posted pics of himself and Mariah Carey in the studio, and Mariah looked like a vision of herself from the 90s! 

I'm sure the two are going to bring back the magic they created on the Fantasy album.

About their session, Mariah tweeted,

so happy to be back in the studio with the one & only aka Jermash!

And Jermaine co-signed saying,

“We are back together.”

 

It'll be interesting to hear what they come up with.....

Lauryn Hill Gets SUED Over Alleged Fashion Theft!

Lauryn Hill just got slapped by the fashion police.  Not because her outfits lately call for it.  But because she allegedly has been STEALING the ish she's been wearing.

 

Deets inside...

A fashion consultant by the name of Via Davia Vintage filed a lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court saying that Lauryn jacked her for her clothes back in 2007 during L Boogie's Euro tour.  Instead of keeping the clothes for the agreed upon time--L Boogie kept those eye-catching threads for months.  And some she didn't return at all.  TMZ reports:

According to a lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Via Davia Vintage provided Hill "with an entire wardrobe of high fashion items." The company claims Hill agreed to pay a fixed weekly fee for 4 weeks.

But according to the lawsuit, Hill hung on to the clothes for three months, paying only a fraction of what she owed.. And to top it off ... the consultant claims Hill only returned about 30% of the items, keeping the expensive stuff.

Don't know what I'm more mad about--that Lauryn is willing to get a bad name over not returning some clothes on time...or the fact she actually paid serious money for these fashion choices we side-eye...often.

It's hard to believe but Christina Milian turns 30-years-old today.  An actress, fab mother, and singer, she's been turning heads on the red carpet for years. Celebrate with Christina inside......

 

Despite some highly public spats with her ex-husband The Dream about her divorce settlement, Christina Milian has continued to please her fans on both the big-screen and off.

As a devoted mother to little Violet, Christina isn't giving up on her music and is already working on her next project.  Or her gorgeous looks.

SPOTTED: Beyonce & Jay-Z Get Photoshoot Fresh

Looks like The Carters are still busy at work.  Jay-Z & Beyonce were spotted outdoors on the set of a new photoshoot (or possible video shoot for that matter) today.  And the pair were engaging in a little downtime with Bey looking subdued in a grey tank top and Jay in his usual grey t-shirt.

Jay just performed and partied it up in Vegas Friday night, but the couple was likely back in NYC today...seeing that the two kids in the pic above (named Chance & Summer) belong to Jay's long time stylist June Ambrose.  And June, whose reality show kicks off February 2012 on VH1, spent Saturday in NYC celebrating her son Chance's 10th birthday at Bowlmor Lanes.

No word yet on what (or who) the shoot is for exactly.  But we're sure the final product will come out soon.  Awwww look at that side profile of the baby bump....

All hail the Chief!  President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama made a stunning appearance at Saturday night's Phoenix Awards at the Washongton, D.C. Convention Center to finish out the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference. 

 

Pics of the celebs and politicians who came out to be seen, plus video of the President's stirring speech, inside....

The Obamas hit the stage Saturday night to an elite room of over 3,800 politicians, celebs, lobbyists, businessmen, and more.  The president himself was one of the 2011 recipients of the Phoenix Award-an award, according to the CBCF President & CEO Dr. Elsie Scott, that is presented to those whom have made significant contribution to society and symbolizes the immortality of the human spirit.

FLOTUS donned a gorgeous long black sequin skirt with a wide black sash to cinch the waist and a 3/4 sleeve black top.  Fabulous.

Mr. President, looking dapper in his black suit, gave his speech mainly about the jobs bill and its importance:

 

Gabby Union was spotted at the dinner with boyfriend Dwyane Wade rocking a long white Rachel Roy dress:

J. Cole COVERS "ROLLING OUT" & Releases "Daddy's Little Girl" Video

As he prepares for his disc, Cole World:  The Sideline Story to hit music shelves on Tuesday, J. Cole sat for an interview with "ROLLING OUT" Magazine and dropped the video for "Daddy's Little Girl."  See highlights from the interview and watch the video inside.....

 

As he prepares to take the music industry by storm, Fayetteville native, J. Cole, recently sat for an interview with "ROLLING OUT" Magazine where he dished about gossip blogs, his rap style and bouncing back from rejection in the industry.  Here are some highlights:

Talk about your first encounter with Jay-Z. What led to that moment?
I graduated from St. John’s University. At the time, all of my friends got nine-to-five jobs and were making $30,000 to 40,000 per year. I was working at a newspaper in Queens making $8 per hour at a part-time job so that I could still do music at night. I heard that Jay-Z was recording the American Gangster album. That same night, I made two beats and I thought it would be perfect for Jay-Z. I went to the studio where Jay-Z was recording and I waited outside for three hours. His Phantom finally pulled up. I was super timid and shy. I had the CD in my hand and I tried to hand it to Jay-Z. He looked at it and said, ‘What is this? I don’t want that. Give it to one of those other guys.’ It was crushing. That was another moment.

But I snapped back to reality. I knew after that, I had to go harder. That type of rejection fuels me. I believe that greatness is fueled by rejection. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team; Jay-Z had trouble getting a record deal before Reasonable Doubt; and no one wanted to sign Kanye West as a rapper.

How did the second meeting with Jay-Z come about?
One year later, Jay-Z heard a song through Mark Pitts. Jay called me for a meeting. It was a three-hour meeting and I played my music [for] him. We talked about President Obama and other things. Five weeks later, he offered me a record deal.

Beyond music, your name was mentioned by gossip bloggers who reported that you and Rihanna had a sex tape. How did you react when you heard about it?
Gossip is foreign to me. By nature, I don’t like gossip. I never was on the gossip sites. Now being on the other side, it’s annoying. A lot of people don’t know the difference between gossip and reality. They may think that you have a sex tape with Rihanna, or [that] you’re having sex with Solange because of what someone made up. But I guess it’s just something that comes with the territory.

How does Cole World: The Sideline Story reflect who you are as a person?
This album speaks to the type of artist I want to be. I think the album will provide thought provoking lyrics, and heartfelt stories. I want to take listeners on a ride. It shows the type of balance that I want to have as an artist. I want to be at the top of the list when it comes to rap. I want the respect of the hip-hop fans and connoisseurs. I want to be on everybody’s list.

J. Cole has dropped a video for his song "Daddy's Little Girl."  The track is about a young woman who dreams of becoming a ballerina, spending most of her youth in dance classes.   But along the way, she gets sidetracked and ends up using those dancing skills at the strip club. 

The song appears on his album Cole World:  The Sideline Story.
