Nick Cannon's Illness Has Brought He And Mariah 'Closer Than Ever'

At least some good has come of this situation!

Last we heard from Nick Cannon, he was recovering at home after suffering from minor kidney failure during the holidays.

Now, Nick's father James Cannon has opened up about his son's condition, and he says it's been having a positive effect on his relationship with wife Mariah Carey:

"Nick and Mariah have a very strong bond. If anything, this unexpected illness has made them closer than ever and appreciate one another even more."

"She would stay in the hospital overnight to support him. Nick and Mariah are really good for one another -- they have so much in common and can make the other one laugh. So they managed to cope even though Nick was pretty sick. But he is glad to be home now and his whole family is pleased about that also."

We're glad to hear all the positivity! We continue to wish Nick all the best as his recovery continues!

Reports from the UK are suggesting that Cher Lloyd from The X Factor is engaged to her boyfriend, Craig Monk. The pair have only been together for nine months, but their love has blossomed into something so beautiful and Cher is reportedly "so happy" that Craig had no problem putting a ring on it1

In fact, pictures have been popping up of the pair as early as last month with a little diamond spotted nestled on her ring finger.

When will we being hearing those wedding bells, hun! Share! Share!

The View Girls Hash Out The Pope's Gay Marriage Claims

As previously mentioned, the Pope is afraid gay marriage will destroy the future and the ladies from The View discuss what wrong with the proclamation.

The consensus between the ladies is that there is A LOT of contradiction between religion leaders.

They also discuss the definition of terms like "marriage," "family," and "natural." It is refreshing to see all five ladies take a stand against this denouncement.

Elisabeth Hasselback brought a good point that divorce has more impact on marriage that gay marriage. Sherri and Whoopi bring up procreation for infertile women.

Marc Cherry Will Walk Down Wistera Lane, But Won't Make A Desperate Movie

Are you watching the final season of Desperate Housewives? Good, because that is the last you are ever going to see of these ladies in one place again.

During the show's TCA panel this week, Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry two very important things for long-standing fans. First, he has decided to make good on his promise and make cameo in his show's series finale. He wouldn't reveal how or what character he would be playing, but he referenced the bit being very Hitchcock, so you might actually have to keep your eyes peeled to find him.

Secondly, he confirmed that after much consideration, he's decided that there won't be a Desperate Housewives movie in the near (or ever) future. He explained that after eight years, he feels "satisfied" with the way things have worked out and more so, his vision for the final scenes of the series have come to pass and he wouldn't want to screw with that. (Also, he said, "And I'm just never sending any of these gals to Dubai." LOL)

Everything has a beginning and an end. We're sure whatever closure Marc gives his ladies will be good enough for fans. He has enough reverence for the show that he wouldn't let those who have stuck with him down.

People keep asking me if it's bittersweet, and I go, "No. It's completely sweet," because I'm smart enough to know, when I started this ‑‑ this is my 23rd year as a professional writer ‑‑ there's no such thing as a job that goes on forever. All good things come to an end. And I was SO fucked. I was in ‑‑ like a $100,000 in debt to my mother. I went through years without an interview for a job. No one thought I was anything. I had friends that didn't even call for a while. And then, like, I write this script because it was my attempt to show people that I was a better writer than maybe they thought, and all hell broke loose. And right from the start, I knew it was going to be a roller coaster, but I'm smart enough, and the way my mom brought me up, I was humane enough to go, "It's all good. Even the bad stuff is good. Even those days when I'm exhausted" ‑‑ and for those of you who saw me, I'm, like, 50 pounds thinner than I was the first season because I was stuffing carbs into my face constantly to write because I was writing so much of that first season. That's why I was so thankful when folks like (exec producer) Bob (Daily) came along to take some of the burden off me ‑‑ that even during the bad times, it was fantastic. Even, like, when some other show comes along and it's the hot new show, I'm like, "Good for you. Go with it, babe." This is how this industry works. It's like life. To everything there is a season. Our seasons are coming to an end. And so I just ‑‑ for all of us, we're just so grateful for the ride we've had because not many people in this business get to experience what we have all collectively experienced. So that's how I feel, is just grateful and looking forward to the next chapter.

J. Lo Is Chasing Cocaine! Wants In On Mark Wahlberg's New Movie

Marky Mark continues to be an uber busy guy. When he isn't in a movie, he is making one. When he isn't making one, he's in one. Sometimes, he's in a movie that he is making, while also producing a hit TV show and raising a bunch of kids.

Yeah, he's busy ... so perhaps this news will ease his mind a bit.

One of the pet projects that has really piqued Mark's attention is Cocaine Cowboys, a feature film based on the 2006 documentary directed by Billy Corben. It's been on his radar for awhile, and on "Sway in the Morning" Sirius radio show this morning, he announced that plans are finally coming together to make it happen.

But do you know what takes a long time? Casting! Ugh! Finding people to play all those parts - EXHAUSTING! Who has time for all that?! Lucky for Mark, one part could be filled pretty quickly if he's down with the idea. Turns out, Jennifer Lopez is also really interested in the movie and she's been "chasing" Mark for awhile to play a pivital role - infamous "godmother" Griselda Blanco. Mark told Sway:

"It's one of those characters that will go down in history. Jennifer Lopez is chasing that [role] like crazy. It's the role — if I could play Griselda, I would. That's Academy Award [bait] right there."

Um, why can't you? What, is that not that kind of film? Will Eddie Murphy also not be in the film playing the rest of the crime family characters? No? Damn!

Look, we love J.Lo, and right now, she is hot as hell. Mark should give her a shot. Forget "Maid In Manhattan" Jen and focus on "Enough" Jennifer. She was pretty damn kick ass. She could handle this role!

During a recent interview, Robert Kardashian's former wife Ellen opened up about Bruce Jenner's cross-dressing habit.

Here's Ellen on how she learned about Bruce's habit during drinks with Bruce's ex Chrystie:

"Of course Bruce was every woman's heartthrob when he was that age, right? But Chrystie said, 'Yeah, until I went on a trip and I came back and he had gone through all my clothes. And I found my bras…He'd clip them together and wear them.' I couldn't live with that."

If Bruce wants to dress up in womens' clothing, that's his business BUT he shouldn't have gone through his ex's clothes without permission! Not cool AT ALL!

First Look At Coco On Her Hubby's Show, Law And Order: SVU! Wait Till You See Who She Is Kissing!

You know, because it is Coco, her episode is gonna be the talk of the season!

She's a goddess, people. Deal with it!

For her third appearance on Law And Order: SVU, Ice-T's beloved will play an actor at a theater staging a show in the vein of the popular live showSleep No More, where the audience becomes part of the show. As Venus, the goddess of love (see!), Coco at one point gets very personal with another actor in the play -- or more precisely, actress!
