In a strange but amazing turn of events, it turns out the delights of Betty Crocker and the delight that is Betty White both turned 90 years young. It seem then only fitting that company grace everyone's favorite Golden Girl with a cake befitting a true icon. We're told the cake is a Triple Chocolate Celebration Cake, designed with Betty White in mind. It was presented to her during the taping of her new special, "Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl" airing Monday, January 16. Yummy! Wish we were invited to that bash! Nothing we love more than a slice of cake and few choice moments with the smartest, funniest, most vibrant woman in the industry! Here's to you, Betty! 90 years? Let's shoot for 100! Posted: 09 Jan 2012 01:10 PM PST The plans for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new Kensington Palace home have been revealed to the public (after much scrutiny), and it has been revealed that a speck of dust won't be able to make its way through the front doors without a member of the royal security staff being on it. The newlyweds will have every luxury at their fingertips, but also every precaution to keep them safe. The blueprints for their modest home call for an "air lock" double-door system (take not of that, "dirty" bombers) an advanced CCTV system, special pop-up bollards and spiked railings. That all sounds great. They're own personal Fort Knox. But, um, wouldn't part of keeping these two safe be keeping this kind of intel -- this kind of specific, security information -- out of the hands of the general public? Don't people, like say, terrorists, like to know this information so they can work AROUND this obstacles to do harm? Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe, who guarded William's mother Princess Diana, agrees and expressed his own concerns for the young couple to the press, saying:
Good question! The answer, according to a palace spokesperson, is that their people are only following guidance issued by the central U.K. government. They also point out that while the blueprints have had public viewing, no copies have been made and the plans are not obtainable online. So... we guess there is that? [Image via WENN.] |
| Tim Burton And Robert Downey, Jr. May Be Teaming Up For Pinocchio! Posted: 09 Jan 2012 12:50 PM PST This HAS to happen!!!!!!! Waaaay back in September '10, we heard that Warner Bros was in the early stages of producing a new live-action version of Pinocchio. Now, we're hearing that Tim Burton is VERY interested in directing the film, and he wants Robert Downey Jr. to play Geppetto, the "woodcarver who creates the puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy." We're also THRILLED to hear that RDJ has reportedly "expressed serious interest in the project." Hopefully they'll get all this solidified very soon! We are SO intrigued! Posted: 09 Jan 2012 12:40 PM PST They may have already been over, but it looks like Kelsey Grammer technically cheated on Camille Grammer before the official split! Six months before!! Kelsey was flying Virgin Atlantic when he met Kayte Walsh. And apparently, brace yourself for any vomiting, it was love at first sight:
But ya see, in December 2009 we all thought he was still happily married to Camille! Of course, we totally found out later they had been at it like misbehaving dogs. Kelsey went so far as to say he stayed with her long enough for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a parting gift. She always wanted to be famous, he said, so he stuck it through. ...in the snow with Kayte. | E!'s Gonna See Some Changes In 2012! Posted: 09 Jan 2012 12:20 PM PST Nooo, Keeping up with the Kardashians isn't getting canceled... But there are some definite changes in store for Fashion Police and Chelsea Lately!! When it comes to Fashion Police, it's a GOOD change. They've been bumped up from a half hour slot to a one hour slot. The show is set to air brand new features like The Slut Cut where they call red carpet victims out for slicing up a runway dress. As far as Chelsea Lately goes, they're losing their host... but only for a week!! When Chelsea Handler takes her vacation up in New York, roundtable regular Ross Matthews is gonna host the show for a FULL week! Obviously he's just giddy about it, saying it's his favorite work to do. But back to Fashion Police... Joan promises full-frontal nudity this go around!! ...but that's totally a joke.... right? Check out the SNL sketch (above) in which Barkley hosts a new Discovery ID show called White People Problems. Probably one of the more offensive Saturday Night Live sketches that's been aired in a while...but also a funny one for anybody who can take a joke! Do U think this SNL sketch was HIGHlarious? Posted: 09 Jan 2012 12:00 PM PST Sure, you made a sextape with her brother that has subsequently become one of the most famous celeb dirty videos of all time, but who cares! That is water under the bridge baby! Brandy was on Wendy Williams' show this week and being the hostess with the mostess to say, Wendy insisted that Brandy clear up some of the pesky rumors about concerning B's working relationship with Kim Kardashian. See, it was rumored that Brandy wanted NOTHING to do with Kim K while working on Tyler Perry's new movie The Marriage Counselor. Source were saying that Brandy wanted her brother's ex kept far away from her while shooting. But it turns out, according to Brandy, none of that is true. While it worked out that the pair never worked together (their character's paths never crossed,) Brandy told Wendy that she actually misses her friendship with Kim a lot and hopes that perhaps they can reconnect at the premiere of the movie or something. | Body Left On The Queen's Lawn ID'd Posted: 09 Jan 2012 11:50 AM PST Sad. She was so young. The body found on Queen Elizabeth's estate was ID'd as beloning to 17 year old Alisa Dmitrijeva. Dmitrijeva had been missing since August 2011 before she was found New Year's Day on the Queen's Sandringham estate. She was last seen with two male friends on August 31st and her grandmother reported her missing six days later. English police are currently searching for people around the estate for a two month period. Her discovery launched a murder investigation. We are sad to see a young woman's life taken. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were ALL over each other during their lil romantic stroll along the streets of Chelsea. Besides swapping spit, the two did some shopping at Parke and Ronen, and then they grabbed some food at Tipsy Parson. Yum!! We're so glad they're not trying to hide it anymore! | Charlie Sheen: "I'm Not Crazy Anymore!!!" Posted: 09 Jan 2012 11:20 AM PST Yeah...we'll see about that... The Ma-Sheen recently said that he's not crazy anymore and chalks up this past year as an "episode" in his life. During his spiral/resurgence, Charlie had many catchphrases, including "tigerblood," "warlock," and of course "WINNING!" Now, he can't seem to understand people yell these things at him, saying:
Ya think?! This is coming for the guy who said "I'm high on Charlie Sheen." His upcoming project, Anger Management, has The Ma-Sheen starring as a therapist which he says is close to heart, due to being in anger management himself for a year. We're interested to see if this "mellower" Charlie Sheen lasts. Frankly, it will be less entertaining if it does. Do U think a sane Charlie Sheen will stick? |
