A big sneak peek into the film Red Tails, about the Tuskegee Airmen, has been released. Watch 7 minutes of the movie inside and find out what director George Lucas had to say about why Hollywood wants nothing to do with a film made up of an all-black cast. We told you earlier about the Tuskegee Airmen film Red Tails, which stars so many of Hollywood's finest including Method Man, Ne-Yo, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrance Howard; but you might not know how hard it was to get the film made. Which is why George Lucas came out his own pocket for the project. During revealing "The Daily Show" and USA Today interviews with director and writer George Lucas, the inner dealings of Hollywood and its racist tendencies were discussed. Apparently, big budget movie companies think films with large Black casts (or films aimed at Black America) are risky business. Shocker. Because of this, it's very difficult for films with a Black slant to get financing. So what does this mean? It means that Hollywood will be paying close attention to the box office of Red Tails (debuting January 20) and its success/failure may dictate the future of Black films. Luckily, the film has a great director, a strong cast and looks fabulous (as you will see in the sneak peek). Check out what Mr. Lucas said below and watch the sneak peek and interview: On the difficulty getting funding: This has been held up for release since 1942 since it was shot, I've been trying to get released ever since ... because it's an all-black movie. There's no major white roles in it at all ... I showed it to all of them and they said no. We don't know how to market a movie like this. On the movie's impact on black filmmakers: I realize that by accident I've now put the black film community at risk [with Red Tails, whose $58 million budget far exceeds typical all-black productions]. I'm saying, if this doesn't work, there's a good chance you'll stay where you are for quite a while. It'll be harder for you guys to break out of that [lower-budget] mold. But if I can break through with this movie, then hopefully there will be someone else out there saying let's make a prequel and sequel, and soon you have more Tyler Perrys out there.

Last night, Chris Paul was spotted out with his fab wife Jada (Crawley) Paul last night celebrating the LA Clippers' victory. See the pics inside and Chris' teammate Blake Griffin out on what looks like it could have been be a "date." LA Clippers star Chris Paul battled his bestie LeBron James and the Miami Heat last night. And Chris and teammate Blake Griffin led the Clippers to a 95-89 victory in overtime. So why not celebrate:
He and Jada were spotte at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood post-game.
Blake Griffin was there too...and looked like he might have been on a date.... BONUS:
Chris Paul stopped by Jimmy Kimmel last week where the two chatted it up and Chris revealed the Jimmy was the first to welcome him to LA. Jimmy then joked that Chris would probably prefer to be on the Lakers...but the Clippers sealed the deal. For his part, Chris took the joke in stride and confidently talked about the Clippers organization and how happy he is to be there. Looks like Chris is ready to take them to the finals!

| COURTSIDE FAB: Rihanna Skips Out On People's Choice Awards & Hits Up The Clippers Game Posted: 12 Jan 2012 07:37 AM PST Rihanna nabbed the Favorite R&B Artist Award at last night's 2012 People's Choice Awards at Nokia Theater, but she decided to hit up the L.A. Clippers game next door at the Staples Center instead.
Pics of the singer kickin' it courtside inside.... The "We Found Love" singer was spotted checking out the cheerleaders at the Staples Center as the Clippers beat the Miami Heat 95-89 last night. Rih chilled out with her friend Jen, a beer, and some popcorn and had some fun:

In the latest issue of "JET" Magazine, reality TV stars Vincent Herbert and Tamar Braxton open up about their strong marriage and friendship, their upcoming reality show and their plans to start a family. Deets inside..... As fans will tell you, Tamar Braxtion and Vincent Herbert make for an interesting reality TV couple. While she is loud and animated, he is quiet and calm. And though she LOVES to be the center of attention, he likes to play the background (as evidenced by his super successful career as a low-key music exectutive.). And in the latest issue of JET, the odd-couple discuss their love, their plans for Tamar's album and if kids are in their future. About their relationship, Vince says,
But how does quiet Vince deal with Tamar's over-the-top-attitude? She says,
And though he is very private, Vincent revealed that he started writing songs at the age of 13 and he strongly believes in marriage because his parents were together for 25 years (both are now deceased).
And Vincent surely adores Tamar and snaps at folks claiming she's a golddigger. “I love my wife. This girl is so far from being a gold digger. I wouldn’t be with someone like that for nine years. Tamar says: “When I met Vince I had my own house. I had my own car. I was independent.” But the couple has had setbacks, most recently Vince's health scare. Tamar revelaed,
Talking about Tamar's upcoming album, they revealed that she is signed to her husband's label and Interscope. Tamar says (in third person), “I have to do this. I wake up in the morning and want to go to the studio, because if I don’t go, ‘her’ is going to be upset.” Fans will also see the couple on their own show this season and they say it's won't impair their marriage.
Thankfully, that won't happen to Vince and Tamar.
So what's next for the couple? They shared with the magazine their top-three must haves: The Couple’s Must-Have List: 1. A Havanese dog. Vince wants the pet for walks. 2. Two kids. Tamar is planning for twins (which she calls the Mariah Carey syndrome after her good friend). 3. Making moves. The couple just scooped up a $6.9 million mansion— now it’s time to settle in.

Celebs turned up for Power 106 radio host Big Boy's "An XL Life" book release party at the Sayers Club in Hollywood. Pics of Toya Wright, Evelyn Lozada, Tyrese, Baby, and more inside. Big Boy celebrated his new "An XL Life: Staying Big At Half Your Size" book release last night and his celeb friends came out to support. The book is being released through the Cash Money Content literary division, and apparently, head honchos Brian "Baby" Williams and Slim, read more than we think they do. "Love That Girl" actress Tatyana Ali first hit the red carpet of the Tribeca Flm Institute event in April of last year in this strapless multicolored Nicole Miller cocktail dress. She paired it with nude open toed pumps and a pouf-style ponytail. And last night, on the "Red Tails" movie premiere red carpet in New York, "The Game" actress Tika Sumpter rocked the exact same bold colored dress with her deep purple platform pumps, ponytail, and long earrings. So... WHO ROCKED IT BEST?!

Check out all three working it out inside, plus video outtakes of NeNe Leakes as 'Coach Roz Washington' on "Glee".... Check out Erykah, Mos Def (Yasmiin Bey), and Mark Ronson jamming out in New Orleans in the video above to a song called "A La Modeliste." The vid shows them in the studio creating the track and performing for the crowd. Nice.

| EXCLUSIVE: "The Game" Star Coby Bell Speaks On How Brandy Measures Up To His On Screen Ex-Wife Posted: 11 Jan 2012 11:36 AM PST
After last night's huge Season 5 premiere of BET's "The Game" (5.3 million viewers to be exact), it's clear newcomer Brandy is locking in her place as the new love of "Jason Pitts." Check out what actor Coby Bell (Jason Pitts) told TheYBF.com about just how well Brandy did in her new role... Coby Bell, who plays the overly frugal hater of black women Jason Pitts on "The Game," couldn't be more unlike his tv character. He's been married for 10 years to a normal loving woman with whom he shares 4 kids with. And since he's biracial, he says he's got no problems with the interracial dating controversy the show brings. On the premiere, Jason met bartender Chardonnay, played by Brandy, and not only got her fired from her job, but ended up marrying her on a drunken trip to Tijuana. And he finally revealed why he's hated black women all these years. So we got the low down on just how well Coby and his new co-star hit it off on-set. (He had nothing but rave reviews for Brandy.) Especially since his on-screen ex wife, played by Brittany Daniel, will not be on this season. And what we can expect to see when "Kelly Pitts" returns.
On how well Brandy fit in with the cast and performed her role as Chardonnay I think people are really REALLY going to love Brandy. She's really going there. I was just so impressed. I didn't even know she was going to play the part of 'Chardonnay' until the day before I started working with her. I was shooting my other show "Burn Notice" [on the USA network] and Mara [Brock Akil] texted me that Brandy would be my new co-star....and I got all excited. The next day we got together and started working and it was, like, instant. We just understood each other. We come from a similar place of how we work, so we just click right away. This whole season we just had so much fun working together. On Brandy getting way too into her role There was one time in the script where Chardonnay had to slap Jason on the back of the head--and she let me HAVE it (Laughs). I was like, 'Okay okay, you're really hitting me TOO hard!' And then it she just made it Chardonnay's thing--she's always going to slap me on the back of the head at different times.
On Brittany Daniel not returning this season for the original Jason-Kelly-Chardonnay love triangle Brittany ("Kelly Pitts") couldn't do the show this season. We miss her so much though. There were personal things she had to take care of and the show got in the way of more important things. The Chardonnay character was always going to be part of the show, and it was actually going to be a love triangle between Brittany, Jason, and Kelly. But when Brittany couldn't do the show, the writers had to quickly figure something else out. Maybe next year when she returns, everyone will get to see how that plays out. On how he feels about dating a black woman on the show vs. having a white (ex) wife on the show The interracial relationship was originally included because it was a reality of the world. It was definitely a reality in professional sports. I'm not one to trip about it because my dad is black and my mom is white. So it's normal to me. There are some people that trip about the relationship [with Brittany/Kelly] and there's some people who just love Kelly. I love the way the writers didn't bring much attention to the interracial factor while those two characters were married. It was just a marriage--two people trying to figure it out. And now having the Chardonnay angle is just going to cause an even more interesting story.

The cast of the George Lucas created film Red Tails put on their dapperific best for last night's premiere in NYC. We chatted up the fellas in the cast, plus we've got red carpet pics of everyone who came out to support.

Method Man's sexiness almost took over the interview, Tika Sumpter dished on her gorgeous look, Terrence Howard hijacked an interview, and we witnessed a mushy "Girlfriends" reunion go down between Keesha Sharp & Khalil Kain. Star of the movie Mr. Slickback Terrence Howard hit the carpet in a blue suit alongside his 3 beautiful kids: son Hunter, 15, and daughters Aubrey, 17, and Heavenly, 13. Why is this Tristan Wilds such a cutie?! The "90210" actor and RED TAILS co-star looked hot in his 1 button suit and bow tie.
James Earl Jones and his wife hit the carpet. All we could say was 'OH....'
"Are We There Yet?" actress Keesha Sharp posed on the carpet with one of the Red Tails writers (and "Boondocks" writer), Aaron McGruder. Co-star Andre Royo doesn't seem to age much.
Nate Parker rocked his skinny black satin tie for his big premiere night.
Brandy's on-screen little brother from "Moesha" is definitely all grown up. Marcus T. Polk co-stars as David "Deke" Watkins. Kimberly Locke hit the carpet looking good. The look is a bit mature for her though even at 34.
Al Roker and wife Deborah Roberts hit the carpet.
Cuba Gooding Jr. kept it classic in an all grey suit with matching vest and scarf. Spike Lee and wife Tonya Lee came out to support.
And the man behind the film--blockbuster director and writer George Lucas--hit the carpet with his long time partner Mellody Hobson, who was looking fab.
