Ludacris has announced that he's closing his Straits restaurant in Atlanta to focus on his new project, Chicken N Beer. Get the deets inside...... Ludacris is closing his 4-yr old Atlanta hotspot Straits to focus on a new venture, Chicken N Beer. Chicken N Beer will be located at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Concourse D, and its name was inspired by Luda's 2003 album of the same name. he tweeted about his new chicken joint last week, but just recently revealed that he's closing his current restaurant. Gene Elliott Thornton, Jr., aka Malice of the Clipse, has been out promoting his book Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked. And while doing so, he revealed that he's been married over 20 years! Get his advice on making a marriage last inside...... You wouldn't think a rapper would be the best person to offer marriage advice, however, Malice has been in a successful marriage for the past 2 decades and has a lot to say about making it work. The "Grindin" rapper, who turns 40 this year, did an interview with Naked With Socks On and offered this advice: On what's most important in a relationship: "Faith is the foundation. It’s the floor plan to my marriage. Faith and forgiveness lay the ground rules… It’s just a big part of it and I think that as… and I got to choose my words carefully, but I think, not just Black people, but in our culture and I do believe it’s culture in general… I’m just so focused on my culture that it’s just very relevant for us, but I think that many times we give up on those who we claim to love or we know we’re in relationships with.” On avoiding divorce: “I think the divorce rate, which I believe is 50/50 or somewhere around there… I think we give up too quick and I think we’re too quick to get rid of a person and I just think that we need to work with each other more. I think that we need to be more understanding, because I don’t think that you’re ever going to find that perfection; you know?" On putting in work to make the relationship last: "I think that relationships and marriage especially is about working with one another and loving each other so much that you know you’re able to forgive and be willing to compromise and work out some things and I just think that we give up too soon, so I think that faith definitely plays a part in building strong, lasting relationships and sometimes you just have to go through the fire to be purified.” On why getting married in his 20s was a good thing: "...A lot of people would tell me, ‘You got married too young,’ or a lot of people may say, ‘You got to go out and experience the world,’ and I don’t necessarily subscribe to that. I think the fact that you know I did get married at a young age definitely is a plus and you know is an asset to a marriage, not that everybody should run out and get married young or whatever, but I don’t think that’s it’s a bad thing to get married at a young age. At any age it’s going to take work, you know what I’m saying? It’s going to take work, but all this ‘go out, live your life, do this, do that…’ I mean, I don’t subscribe to that. I subscribe to you find that person who is special to you, you love each other, and you want to get married and have children and that’s what you do.” Who woulda thought? |

Now that we know the rumors of Jay-Z and Beyonce buying out the entire maternity floor of Lenox Hill Hospital for $1.3 mill are false--and that the hospital confirmed they have a standard executive suite--the new family also stayed the standard 3 days and is now headed home.
A pic and details inside... Beyonce's oversized limo-van was spotted leaving the upper east side hospital this morning with Mama Bey, Papa Jay, Baby Blue, and Protector Julius all in tow. Most families who have had normal deliveries stay in the maternity ward for 2-3 days after giving birth. And the Carters are no different. This morning, the new parents, who said they are "in heaven", were spotted bringing 3-day-old Baby Blue Ivy home from the hospital! The NY Daily News reports:
Witnesses outside the hospital said the exit seemed "precise and military like." Protecting B.I.C. by any means necessary....
By the way, rumors of MTV taping and airing a Beyonce & Jay-Z Baby Shower Special aren't true. Well, not totally. MTV News has confirmed they will be running a special, but is actually a fun faux baby shower and a look at what the couple's baby shower would be like. The Carters are not involved. It's set to air soon. |

Video vixen turned model turned rapper girlfriend Amber Rose just made her singing debut. Check out her brand new single "Fame" featuring her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa inside... She told y'all she was coming out with an album. And here's the first taste. Amber's single "Fame" is an auto-tuned, beat focused track where she talks about becoming an overnight sensation, the haters, and not being ready for the fame. She sang lines like: Can't buy some clothes/Or buy some cigs/without paparazzi waiting for a flick......This is a new situation/now you're an overnight sensation/You're not ready for the Fame.... Her boyfriend Wiz raps a few bars in the song, and also does a voice-over on the intro. I'm sure folks will focus on the fact they can keep up with the beat so, by industry standards, that makes this an ok song. As for her vocal ability, we can't really tell when there's autotune and producton masking it. Amber told MTV RapFix she's taking vocal lesons: “I have my own unique sound, I make music that I love and I hope that my fans and the people that embrace me will love it also! Frank Ski threw a big birthday bash for his wife Tanya at his Frank Ski Restaurant & Lounge in midtown Atlanta on Peachtree. The couple celebrated with Tanya's ATL friends Toya and Memphitz and more.
Trina and a solo Towanda Braxton also came to wish Tanya a happy bday.
Toya and Memphitz caught up with fellow reality stars Trina and Gabe in the VIP area.
Toya and Memphitz got their groove on.

Chrissy's post-engagement love bubble lasted all of 5 minutes after Jim Jones proposed to her. Because on last night's episode of "Love & Hip Hop 2," just as we exclusively reported back in October, Mrs. Jones-To-Be went at it with Yandy in Miami.
Speak on it inside... Things reached the boiling point last night between Chrissy and Yandy. Chrissy was partying with her girls in Miami to celebrate her engagement, and Yandy was being her usual self and bringing two enemies to the same club together--Kimbella and Erica. The perfect storm brewed, and a fight went down. Chrissy claims she saw a disrespectful email Yandy, who already threw deuces to her management job with Jim Jones, sent to Jimmy asking him why he's buying Chrissy bags, shoes, and jewelry. Chrissy felt this was stepping over the line--and she went in. Yandy kept asking what her issue was--and then said the magic words, "Why she mad I get money and she has to sleep with n*ggas for her money?" WOMP. See the aftermath below: Don't know about y'all, but I feel like there's way more to this story. No reason a woman should be THIS pissy with another woman--over her man--once she gets that man to lock it down officially. Is there deep rooted jealousy on one or both ends? Did Yandy and Jim have something MORE than a professional relationship going on, and Chrissy feels threatened by it? Or is Yandy threatened by Jimmy wifing up Chirssy because she knows Chrissy will always have one shoe up on her? Hmmmm.... |

Young Money's "Rack City" rapper Tyga was arrested this weekend in Las Vegas after getting stopped during a routine traffic citation. Deets inside... 22-year-old Tyga--real name Michael Stevenson--partied in Vegas this weekend. News station KSNV in Nevada reports the Compton rapper was pulled over on a routine traffic stop when cops discovered he had a warrant for 4 other traffic citations: driving without a license, registration violations and unlawful acts of financial responsibility. Tyga--who appeared on Chris Brown's "Deuces," was arrested, booked, and tossed in jail at the Clark County Detention Center. Then released the next day. After suffering since the Holidays from mild kidney failure, Nick Cannon was released from L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai over the weekend. And he's back home with Dem Babies and wife Mariah. Deets inside...
Nick has recovered from his illness...with much help from his doting wife Mariah. After getting a shape-up and tons of hugs and kisses, he was released from the hospital over the weekend. His reps say he is already slated to return to hosting his morning radio show next week:

"Basketball Wives: LA" star Draya Michele has been announced as the new face of Secret Kisses Lipstick & Lip Gloss line...alongside "BBW" star Evelyn Lozada. Over the weekend, rapper Snoop Dogg was busted in Texas at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, a small town in West Texas, when drug-sniffing dogs picked up the scent of weed on his tour bus. The border agents found a red prescription bottle on the bus containing several joints and a half-ounce of weed. Although Snoop admitted to the weed and has a prescription for cannabis in California, that ish doesn't fly in Texas! Snoop was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and released. Jay-Z and Beyonce just released a statement about baby B.I.C. and how over the moon they are as new parents. And they're putting the C-section rumors to rest, insisting Baby Blue was born naturally. The Lenox Hill Hospital reps also revealed The Carters never bought out or closed off the maternity floor.

Jay-Z revealed today, in the song "Glory" he made for his daughter, that a miscarriage occurred before Blue Ivy was conceived. And now the duo feels their new baby girl is a magical gift. The rep adds, "The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations." "The family does have its own security detail on site. However, the hospital has been and continues to be in control of managing all security at the facility.
